This was needed. Especially in a world where people, as a side effect of being chronically online, are adhering to the belief that life, as we know it, ends after one crosses the age of 25.

Mr. Plankton...

Such an underrated series... Has a little bit of everything. I found myself feeling a range of emotions at every twist and turn. Laughs. Cries. And everything in between. I wasn't expecting much going into it, but it left me feeling some type of way...still lingering and thinking about it. The acting of the cast was superb, especially Woo Do Hwan's character... Woo Do Hwan always delivers... and the chemistry between the cast is all there. Cinematography on point.

Ok I love it with all of my heart. it was so beautiful. a masterpiece. real life. the script and acting were soooo great. I didn't watch most of 2024 dramas, like past years. I only choose dramas that make me feel of real life(even comedy or thriller genre) and unfortunately or fortunately I haven't enough time for watching whole series of year. but I really love Mr. Plankton from first scene to last among all drama I've watched. yeah maybe some happens in that looks unreal(like kidnapping) but it's the most series that made me feel dark comedy. I think many funny scenes in this series are symbols of real life. so I could believe everything in that. and I could understand them and their decisions. I hate red flag or green flag, these two words are nonsense to me. bc as I said before humans are gray, not completely good or bad. I'll writing about my lovely Hae-jo and the others lovely too. that was a trip. we start a trip with him and end it with the ending scene. and we feel everything with them. we have their memories, sadness, happiness and lost. (watch it and then listen to California dreamin'. then you'll understand what I mean.) I didn't cry(maybe on or two times even not too much) but this be in my heart forever bc made me thinking about life, death, family, true love, breaking up, find the way and everything we needs. it's my personal opinion but it's perfect and complete drama without unnecessary happens. Everything was in its place. More than I expected from this series. and about the ending....

I'm actually believe he died. yeah he passed out many times, like the end scene. but he never said or thought as his last time. and he hadn't such miracle for treatment. this is a big reason for why I love it so much. he said his last words in his mind with her. he found that clover. it couldn't mean they continued their trip. that means he died and continued his tripping with her, in her heart.

this series had many messages. like living freely and without worries. forming a family doesn't necessarily require blood ties, and family is more important than anything else. people should love each other when they are alive, not when they know they'll die soon. every thing, even the most little thing have worth in our world. AND the most important message in my opinion is : enjoy the road, because road is more important than destination.

This 10 episode long series will take you into a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Hae Jo and Jae Mi receive the worst news they could ever receive on the same day. It feels like Karma has visited both, years after they exchange the fatal hurtful words. Jae Mi is about to getting married with a heavy secret in her heart, but Hae Jo has other plans. He takes her with him in a quest that will either heal or break them. This series really makes you realize the impact parents have in their children. . . The story has a bit of everything: it makes you laugh, it has it's action and keeps you on edge, it makes you smile, it makes you outraged and furious, and it breaks your heart in so many levels.

I liked this series. The way the themes were explored, the character development and their interactions felt different than the usual take on these topics. It makes you think about life.

Mini-review:

As I mentioned in a previous post, Mr. Plankton was my most anticipated k-drama of the year. And, while I liked quite a few things about it, I can't help but feel slightly disappointed. For starters, both the plot and the tone are kind of all over the place. There was a lot of potential in this story, but I think the writer didn't know where to put the main focus. Also, the male lead is rather unlikeable, to the point that not even Woo Do Hwan's immense charisma can fully save him; he's definitely an interesting character, but sometimes it gets hard to root for him, especially during the first half. Still, the entire cast delivers powerful performances and the show's sense of humor is pretty funny, so the whole thing ends up being a highly entertaining experience. It wasn't the life-changing drama I expected it to be, but I enjoyed going on this crazy trip with these characters.
