Hmm... let's keep it nice and short, shall we? I love music, fond of video games and movies, better not ask me of my other interests, I can hardly keep up with them :D Have a thing for drawing and design in general. Desperately trying to get my hands on animation and to release my own visual novel game. Currently, on my way to a bachelor degree in Japanese Language and Literature. Genuinely interested in traditional visual and performative arts, obsessed with modern forms of media too! All in all, nice to meet ya! ( o^ ^o)且 且(´ω`*)

Just making some presents for my family. I know it's really nothing much, yet, considering that they've been asking for a drawing from me... I timidly hope they will like it.
Besides it's a great chance for me to take my mind off upcoming exams... and I really need it
This picture is of one of the most iconic sights from (三国大一山) 新倉富士浅間神社 Arakura Fuji Sengen Jinja
Still somewhat of a WIP

Someone was replaying Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon and dreading this last story dungeon (because this someone didn't want to bawl her eyes out at that "plot twist" once again…) Still, pretty much love this game for its cute vibe, wholesome story and nice music. Me (mudkip) and my dear snivy friend Basil.

What a "lively" party! "Hoo hoo〜, I swear, it's just a strawberry jam! Though, I insist on you trying this cake, I promise, it's a surprise to die for!〜" Found this little gem of a game - Billie Bust Up and instantly fell in love with it. Can't decide what I like the most: songs or characters (guess, I'll go with both) Can't wait for a final release!

Found some ancient drawing of mine. Can't for the life of me remember why I thought that "colours" passes for a "sorry". Vaguely remember that I've read something along the lines in some fantasy novel but probably reduced the original phrase down to a single word, so...

Heh, finally got my hands on Sakura's traditional chinese paints and decided to paint something fun.
The writing in the center says 化猫 「化け猫」 - bakeneko, one of the type of Japanese yōkai they often get confused with another cat-yōkai - nekomata 「猫又」.
Though their differences are ambiguos at best, due to the mixed folktales and legends, generally bakeneko is believed to be "nicer" than nekomata. Stories about former were at the peak of their popularity in Edo period, especially among chōnin (merchant class) and general townfolks public, they told tales of "strange cats" possessing supernatural powers, who could speak human language and sometimes even take form of a man, bakeneko played roles of pranksters of sorts, possessing homes akin to western poltergeist, playing musical instruments, throwing "parties" and what not.
Nekomata in that regard were more aggressive and vile, they knew necromancy and could possess or animate corpses to do their biding, or use ordinary cats as their minions, nekomata too could turn into human (usually woman) to decieve people, so they could kill them either for fun or for food (in fact they could do so just fine in their true form). In addition, both nekomata and bakeneko are said to have control over ghost fires.
However there are some stories where bakeneko too show their more sinister side: Saga no Yozakura or Saga Kaibyōden are good examples, there bakeneko kills two family members, takes their forms and torments the rest of the household.
In addition, stories about bakeneko describe them as one tailed, yet woodblock prints and illustrations often depict them with two tails, just as nekomata, which only adds to confusion.
Sheesh, respect to anyone who read it all through. Stay tuned for more)

so,, here's that picture of Yuri Gagarin i was trying to upload a couple of days ago (for cosmonautics day, the anniversary of Gagarin's flight was this week)
This is from his his visit to Japan in 1962. The writing on his haori is so blurred i can't read it, but the headband says "peace".
