How Homestuck Beyond Canon Candy Timeline has/will have parallels with Homestuck proper around and during the events of [S] Game Over

Jane Crocker heavily aligned/influenced by with Crocker Corp. Notice how her neck accessory looks very similar to the Crocker computer tiara. There's also the circuits surrounding the button, which are reminiscent of Crockertier Jane's visual mind control effect by The Condesce.

Jane also kind of looks like The Condesce with how she's silhouetted here.

The head of Crocker Corporation on a large Crocker space ship. A ship which I would like to point out looks eerily similar to the ship that The Condesce flies around in except the forks/sporks are facing the opposite direction and it's got black on it instead of mostly red.

Jake dying at the hands of Crocker influenced Jane and coming back to life parallels with this Jane coming close to killing Jake, but stopping right before death. Same green text too.

The cast of characters surrounding this time in the comic are also similar.

We also got the whole Crocker laser beam of death being hinted at which we've absolutely seen before.

I talked about this in one of my previous theories, Jake is getting a better grasp of his hope powers; so, I think we could see another hope explosion again in some capacity out of Jake's concern for Tavvy.

I could also totally see Jake being held hostage by one of the Crocker Clones A.K.A. the Brig Boys and Kanaya cutting them up with her chainsaw (hopefully avoiding Jake).

This is more of a little side detail, but Vriska is once again on the sidelines while this massive important fight takes place because she's trapped in her own personal Hell this time.

CHARACTER DEATH FLAGS - I don't know how to organize this post and there was a lot more potential evidence to this than I thought there was going into it.

Let me preface this with the fact that the existential split between Meat and Candy sometimes seems to try to course correct itself and much like certain peoples DNIs, it doesn't want any doubles. We see this with Dirk, Dave (he died even if he ascended to ultimate self afterwards), June/J/John, Terezi(seemingly), Meenah (her other self is in the black hole with Lord English so we can't necessarily confirm death but yknow), Aradia (is just Aradia), Gamzee, Calliope (that is a whole complex situation), and Rose (if her future sight is correct, but we'll get to that). Those are the only examples I can think of at this time, but it's absolutely a repeating pattern of the universe sort of course-correcting to have only one of each of our main characters exist at a time. This, at least in the cases of Dirk, Dave, & Rose seems to be related to the ascension to ultimate self, but we can't really say if that's why the other characters only get one existence at this time.

Karkat has has at least 2 deaths from around this time, one involving Crockertier Jane as well which could be a sign of things to come.

Rose's death flag is that she has literally foreseen her death in her future sight. She is thinking about Kanaya and Roxy in the same thought process while seeing her own death, feeling full of regret (even though she's trying to repress her own feelings) about her relationship to Roxy and Kanaya. Very similar to her being regretful as she was dying in Roxy's arms. I'm also guessing the bullet that hits her will be from Jake's gun, just throwing that out as a possibility.

ROSE: What... ROSE: Happened to me? ROXY: the witch got u ROXY: with her fork ROXY: but youre gonna be ok ROSE: Oh. ROSE: That's nice. ROSE: *Cough.* ROXY: maybe you uh ROXY: shouldnt try to talk now ROSE: You saved me, didn't you? ROXY: ... ROSE: Thanks. ROSE: But, ROSE: She's gone, isn't she. ROSE: For good, I mean. ROXY: ? ROSE: I saw her die. ROSE: And. ROSE: It's a shame how... ROSE: *Cough.* ROSE: A shame that I never even... ROSE: Got to tell her... ROSE: I loved her. ROXY: who?

ROSE: Kanaya. ROSE: But... ROSE: You too, mom.

Kanaya also has a death flag here in getting hit by The Condesce's laser beam of death, but it's more of a maybe given that we see Rose's future vision of Kanaya holding her body in her arms. Keep in mind though we also had this bit of dialogue about the reliability of future sight right before we saw that vision.

JADE: dont forget im more than a little versed in future sight myself ok JADE: i dont care how credible it seems, you cant depend on that information!

Jake and Jane are also on the chopping block potentially, but I can't think of a way at this time, unless Kanaya mistakes Jake for one of the clones amidst her rage and ends up cutting through him along with the Crocker clones. The one pictured below was done by Aranea who is out of the story. Maybe Meenah's trident hits Jake somehow or something, I don't know. We also have meat Jake and Jane who are doing more okay.

On top of the parallels to the doomed timeline that was [S] Game Over, we also had Vriska say that this reality was fake and didn't matter. I'm paraphrasing and I don't know if we'll get a doomed timeline situation yet with the 4 kids still in it, but I just thought the amount of parallels was interesting & worth pointing out.

I also wanted to get this out before the next update in case it's related to the flash animation and any of my predictions come true.

Alternatively I think the flash animation will be Ultimate Dirk kick starting his SBURB home brew session on Deltritus. He probably has all the tech and narrative powers to do it based on what we've seen, they just need a species they'll both be satisfied with as the players for the session.

Only her and one other person are taking the romance arcs seriously and they become karkat’s favorite players

Tries playing morally ambiguous but terezi can be annoying about that and claims it’s just “the consequences of her actions”

Her and karkat both get very very into the scenes between her and her patron, the drama! The acting! Dave is uncomfortable and karkat brushes it off, it’s not like him role playing as his sister’s abusive girlfriend is weird. It’s in fact very important to the plot Dave

Jade and jane’s character have an in game arm wrestling match

Took a bit to get into the rp side of things but eventually got the hang of it

After much deliberation settles on glamour bard (though wizard and rogue were tempting for the joke, she wanted to branch out)

So many horny bard jokes but very little actual follow through, karkat gets frustrated by this as she’s all this talk but isn’t pursuing any of the romance options he’s giving her

She has SECRETS! She is HIDING THINGS!! Her cheery persona is a FASADE!!!

Cue complaining to karkat about how hard it is to wait to tell the others about her secrets and him threatening violence if she tells anyone before the in game reveal

The BOND between her and Dave!!! They are the duo to end all duos. Team rocket type shit. There is nothing stronger than the bond between the bards of the party. My theory is it has to do with trading bardic inspiration.

Wildfire seemed fun to him but wasn’t as good

Wasn’t originally planning on being a Druid but after going over all the classes he liked all the customization and decisions that go into Druid like prepared spells and such

Didn’t really think about his backstory much, just improved something. He keeps improving new additions and it’s getting more and more elaborate and complicated. He has multiple hidden and long lost siblings by this point. Still doesn’t write any of this down. If he messes a detail up he justified it with more improv.

Yes his character has spiked up red hair and sunglasses. Don’t question how the Druid got sunglasses karkat.

Really likes the tactics side of things, he’s even pitched a few things to terezi she updated and later worked in

Sometimes works on plans and strategies out of game or making a million back up characters that play off the others in interesting mechanical ways

Is considering becoming a dm some time

Jake

Needed some help making his character, he just didn’t know where to start

Eventually after much discussion settles on a teifling bladesong wizard

Wanting to get away from his usual adventurer style Roxy helped with the backstory and they came up with this evil scientist raised in a cult who’s good hearted but was never taught right and wrong

He gets very into playing him and his moral struggle but can lean a little too good for his backstory, karkat points this out and Jake swears to get better at it

Dave pitched a lot of names for them and it was eventually settled on “Bernard Gunn” even though he has a sword. Jake just likes how it sounds

“Why is he blue jake?” “…..uhhh” “why is he blue?”

Not the best at sticking with the party and not just doing whatever she wants, but suprisingly Dirk has been able to talk her into it with his talk of tactics and playing smart

Really tried to get into it but this just isn’t her thing so eventually decided to leave the group

Karkat came up with a fun story reason for her to leave and eventually brought her character back as an Npc

Did help rose make a cosplay of her character, after which John, Calliope, and Roxy wanted to make ones too

Vriska eventually tried to “manipulate” into helping her make one for her character

Dave Strider -> Harpy In Greek and Roman mythology, is a half-human and half-bird. Often sirens look harpies and are conflated. So for this au, this harpy is able to sing songs to lure prey.

Jade Harley -> Werewolf or lycanthrope, in folklore, can shape-shift into a wolf (or wolf-like creature), on the night of a full moon. Jade is also a Witch, a woman who practices magic.

Jane Crocker -> Faerie, Fae, or sprite in Celtic Folklore, is a creature with metaphysical, supernatural, or preternatural qualities. and a penchant for trickery

Roxy Lalonde -> Wizard Tressym is a cat-like Monstrosity and a practitioner of magic.

Dirk Strider -> Dullahan in Irish folklore, is depicted as a headless rider on a black horse, who carries his own head. often seen as a symbol of death.

Jake English -> Bigfoot or Sasquatch, in American and Canadian folklore, is a large and hairy human-like mythical cryptid alleged to inhabit forests in North America.

Aradia Megido -> Mothra, a Japanese based Kaiju depicted as a large moth. To be conflated with Mothman, a West Virginian cryptid, for the sake of this au. Currently a Ghost, a spirit of the dead that can appear to the living.

Tavros Nitram -> Minotaur, in Greek mythology, is a creature portrayed with the head and tail of a bull and the body of a man.

Sollux Captor -> Cross roads Demon, found in several folklore, religion, and literature, are often malevolent supernatural entities, who collect souls.

Karkat Vantas -> Cherub Angel, in religion, is an unearthly being. For this au they are similar to cupid. Winged beings who match make. please note that this au will NOT be referencing christianity heavily for this.

Nepeta Leijon -> Nekomata, in Japanese folklore, are a type of yokai, depicted as a shapeshifting cat with two tails. while they can take any form, they will always have the tails.

Kanaya Maryam -> Vampire, in European folklore, are undead humanoid creatures that subsists by feeding on the blood of the living. often able to shapeshift into a bat. and unable to go out in the sun.

Terezi Pyrope -> Dragon is a magical legendary creature that appears in the folklore of multiple cultures worldwide. This one is a western dragon, often depicted as winged, horned, and capable of breathing fire.

Vriska Serket -> Arachne / Jorōgumo. In Greek myth, Arachne is a woman turned into a spider by Athena. In Japanese myth, Jorōgumo are often yokai of a half woman half spider. please note Vriska is not a yokai nor is she Arachne... she is simply a half woman have spider creature, likened to these two examples.

Equius Zahhak -> Centaur, in Greek mythology, is a creature with the upper body of a human and the lower body and legs of a horse

Gamzee Makara -> The bogeyman is a creature used by adults to frighten children into good behavior. Bogeymen have no specific appearances but they are most commonly depicted as masculine or androgynous monsters. In this case, they look like a clown.

Eridan Ampora -> Selkie, in Celtic and Norse mythologies, are creatures that can shapeshift between seal and human forms. For this au, Eridan is part seahorse instead, and often takes the form of a elf instead.

Feferi Peixes -> Leviathan. A very large sea serpent noted in theology and mythology. Feferi is also likened to a mermaid / siren, when not the size of 10 whales.

where did you get the hq requiem cafe images (the ones you use for the "_____ is a better ship than davekat" posts)? i've been looking for them forever, but all i can find is pictures of the standees at the event. thank you in advance! :D

The ones I have were from last year that were available via Requiem Coffee twitter account. I'll link it here if you wish to view the tweets. All art was done by HONE / BNK2, who is well known for providing illustrations for [S] Collide and has done art for Hiveswap, so major credit towards her. These sprites were made way before Pesterquest happened under Viz Media. Her sprites made many people upset because they were shown on model and not like the favorite interpretation ones like Pesterquest, ie: Terezi being fat or Roxy looking black is not present. I don't know why they haven't released the other ones for the collab cafe. Either: A. Legal issues on Viz Media on having permission to release them, even if they don't publish the book. HONE's art for Homestuck was made under Viz when they thought they could market off the series. There is more unused art assets that has yet to be shown too. or B. They don't want to release it yet if the HS Requiem merch hasn't been delivered yet at the time of this post. It's hard to say what is the reason. I beg and plead anyone reading this post that you DO NOT harass Requiem Cafe staff or HONE about this. Others had wondered about the Dancestors and the Cherubs images since they were shown off in the Cafe as cardboard standees, but not on Requiem's Twitter as stand alone images/posts like they had last year for the other characters. Either issue mentioned about could be the reason or something more yet to be stated that we have to wait from either Requiem Cafe or HONE herself. There's a different sort of haze in the air, and every eye in the room seems to be on them. No- not them. Just Dave. Karkat finds himself also glancing at the man beside him, holding his gaze on Dave for about five seconds before he manages to look straight ahead instead.

Redesign/rewrite rambling under the cut

Mostly their appearances are based off of my headcannons for their parents (they have the same parents as in the original, sort of. more on that in a second.) some of my hcs have changed since the last time i drew them.

As for anything not genetic, it was just stuff that was bothering me personally. I gave them each a symbol to kind of represent them. Also changed Harry and Vriska's colors. This was just because it kind of peeved me that there were two blue kids, so I made Harry more of a bluish-purple. I also lightened Vriska's cerulean to give her a distinction from her ancestor.

Most of the outfit changes are minor, tbh they were already pretty good

As for family stuff, like i said about the same parents. I'm gonna make the distinction that most of them were made via ectobiology to avoid implying anything about their parent's AGABs... Jane and Jake had Tavros Jr. (Named after Jake's friend.) Roxy and Jegbert had Harry Anderson. Jade, Rose and Kanaya are in a healthy three-way relationship and decided to have Ruby, and shortly after they adopted Vriska. They love each other and both of their children! Tavros Crocker, Harry Anderson Lalonde, Vriska and Ruby Lalonde-Harley-Maryam.

Uh, no more weird romance between Vriska and her cousins, either. No romance period! They're cousins and they're friends and they're the only ones who understand eachother and they all love each other and aren't mean to one particular part of their friend group for no reason. They all go to school together

Ruby is mostly nonverbal, but nontheless outgoing and charismatic. She is a preppy jock type. She's nice when she likes you, but quick to defend herself and the people she cares about. Vriska struggles with her self-image, and idolizes her namesake. She can be a bit blunt at times, though she means well and isn't often mean on purpose. Tavros is a bit more sheltered than his cousins, and as a result is often unsure of what he wants for himself. He is smart and talented at things that he puts his mind to. Harry is extremely energetic and outgoing, and at surface level it looks like he has a lot of friends. There are only a few people who he really trusts, though. He has a penchant for what's current and trendy, especially when it comes to fashion.

Anyway uhm. Idk why I felt like doing all that. I'm not planning on rewriting the story or anything, I wouldnt even know where to start apart from changing gamzees arc... I just wanted to draw these kids I guess.

hey, i’m karl crocker. i’m looking for really anyone from my timeline. my memories are currently as follows:

alex and i were best friends. i had a crush on him, but didn’t say anything about it.

i was REALLY obsessed with being “normal”. like, i needed the white picket fences and to seem like your average joe, even though i really wasn’t. once we met, i envied jake for actually getting to be just some guy.

the trolls actually had access to both the beta and alpha kids, but it was split on who had access to who. callie, jaynes, deeruk, dayveh, johnny, and roseta had access to the alpha session, and tavros, gamzee, kanaya, equius, aradia, and feferi had access to the beta session.

i became close to johnny, because i thought he was a human, a human who survived somehow. of course when we met in the new session, i freaked out on him. it was enough to make him think i was pitch flirting with him, and i think kanaya had to step in to keep me from actually attacking him.

the batterwitch, roseta’s ancestor, still existed, but i’m fairly certain she was a condesce-swapped mindfang? when i found out, it made me freak out even more. alex chose the worst time to tell me, when i was already freaking out about johnny being an alien.

gamzee ended up raising eridanus and nepetala. eridanus had a grudge against him for a while, but ended up understanding that gamzee didn’t really have much of a choice but to leave them, for timeline reasons.
