Not a palace, but it had everything I needed — my corner, my bed, my memories, my little peace of mind after long days.

I'm a university student. I had a simple life — studying, trying to work, trying to build something for myself.

Then the war came… and didn’t ask who we are or what we had.

Suddenly, everything was gone.

The house is destroyed.

The feeling of safety? Gone. Even the smallest things became a dream.

Now, I’m trying to start from zero. But zero is hard when you have no place to stay… and no support.

I’m asking for help — any kind of help — so I can stand on my feet again, continue my studies, and hopefully have a roof over my head again 🏠🙏

Help Ahmed and his father

Ahmed ( @mazen-fmaily ) has been fundraising to help his elderly father. His dad faces a variety of health complications, including hepatitis, kidney disease, and heart issues. He relies on machines and ventilators for life support and Ahmed has to keep up with medical payments in order to keep him connected. On top of life support, Ahmed's father also needs daily dialysis treatments and oxygen. Serious emergencies sometimes arise where his father needs surgery.

Now Ahmed is also facing medical costs of his own. He was shot at while trying to collect aid for him and his father. He needs surgery to reconnect the tendons in his leg, or else it will have to be amputated. I have not included photos of Ahmed's bandaged leg to hopefully avoid this post being flagged, but if you need to see them yourself, Ahmed shared some photos in this post

Ahmed is the sole provider for his father. His dad relies on him not only for his health, but also to bring him food and water. Ahmed already had to walk long distances and put himself in harms way to find food for him and his dad, but now his leg is injured and he may even lose it.

Let me explain:Some people who have donation campaigns try to withdraw money from the bank. But when they attempt to withdraw $1,000, they receive only about $400 because of a 60% fee, due to the shutdown of all banks in Gaza.But more importantly 80% of people in Gaza don’t have donation campaigns, and they have no work, because Gaza has been turned into rubble.

Traumatized in Ireland While my Family is Facing Death and Starvation in Gaza

I contemplate the happy faces of people around me here in Ireland and reminisce about the happy normal life my family and I had before the war. A life that turned into a distant memory for us and was replaced by an unending series of horrible nightmares.

Unlike my family in Gaza, people here have access to drinking water, all types of food, electricity, and a roof over their heads. Above all, they are safe, and I cannot help but wonder if they genuinely do appreciate these blessings in their lives enough.

People seem relaxed and laughing wholeheartedly around me in Ireland. I wish I could laugh too, but I am crushed way beyond recovery on the inside. I was evacuated by my Irish college after five months of living the horrors of war in Gaza. I hope you will never know what it feels like to live in constant fear and worry and be horrified by the most sickening and scary nightmares every single night while you are far away from your family in such circumstances.

When did my people in Gaza cease to be human beings worthy and deserving of a normal life? Has it become normal now for my family in Gaza to be starved and killed while the whole world is watching the genocide? If that is the case, then you will have to excuse me if I seek every avenue to bring them to Ireland and start a new normal life like all people here around me.

I was assured by the Irish Reugee Council (IRC) and lawyers in Ireland that there is hope I can reunite with my family in Ireland. In difficult times, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me and my family, you are literally our light and hope for a better life.

Save the life of my child and my family 🚨🚨

I raised 25,130 euros... Yes, this number never leaves my mind, because it was my whole hope, my whole heart, my whole strength, but I lost all my money 💔

My dream was to rescue my father from danger, from death, from the jaws of illness, but the dream was suddenly shattered... 😭

The campaign ended, everything disappeared, the money was lost, the effort was lost, the hope was lost... and I watched my own slow collapse 😭

No one feels me. 😭💔 No one sees the night I sleep, placing my hand on her belly to reassure myself that the baby is still there. 💔 No one hears her voice as she cries in pain, while I tell her, “Be patient,” while my insides collapse. 😭

Now, will I lose my father? 😭💔 I need you. Look at my wife. Look, she needs medicine every day, and my father suffers from many diseases. 😭

My friend, look at my wife's condition. Look at our tragic life. 💔😭

My family's future has been completely destroyed, and I can no longer live in Gaza. I want to leave the Strip and treat my son and parents abroad, so I need $5,000 per person.
