Been thinking a lot about Oda choosing Queen of Night as Law's image flower.

Like. Isn't that really important? In a story heavily featuring sun symbolism, MC with an image flower called Sun-facer, being assigned with "Beauty under Moonlight" is a dead giveaway that the author considers his role to be complimentary to the protagonist, an alternate source of light that takes its light from the sun.

A lot of Japanese fans think the last bit of vegapunk's message, "Those of you who are toyed by that fate, I hope this message reaches you" - was directed at Law's plot. There's no other D who is currently alive and interested in their "checkered fate" other than Law. Dawn and Dusk shared an interesting observation about Law's family being the only family of D's confirmed to originate from the opposite side of the red line (x). Then there's the hidden family name, and a five billion berry devil fruit ability. The groundwork has been laid out and none of these have been properly explained yet, there's no way Law wouldn't be important to the endgame plot.

I know it's all a joke and all, when people questions Vi having sex with Caitlyn right after her little sister made some Ominous and Sad Statements letting it on that she was going to do something drastic to herself but. the way i read this scene is...

Every single thing that Vi has done, perhaps ever since she went on that job, forever ago, that led to the explosion, turned out badly, if not for herself then for those she cared the most for. If you can recognize how much the trauma of that has resonated with Jinx, surely you can see how the trauma of that affected Vi as well. And ever since she got out of prison, it didn't go much better EITHER.

Plus after the whole finale happens, and so Vi decides. Ok. Sister is gone. Time to go with Caitlyn. Except Caitlyn is ALSO changes, and staring at that little girl protecting Jinx and the barrel of Caitlyn's gun, she realises "maybe she's chosen wrong again". Which ALREADY sends her in a spiral of horror, actually: she doesn't seek out her sister. She doesn't seek anyone else (although I guess she could have seek Ekko and realized that, while she was out there "giving in to enforcers" Ekko DISAPPEARED TOO). It takes a good bit of coaxing from Jinx to get her back to a shade of herself.

AND EVEN WHEN SHE GETS A FEW ?? DAYS. ?? WEEKS ?? or relative peace and happiness back, trusting Caitlyn still leads to her dad dead again, Isha dead, her sister completely gone, etc. And still she goes to her sister!!! WHAT ELSE CAN SHE DO BUT HAVE HOPE IN/FOR JINX???

It's just. The scene is Vi breaking down. This scene is Vi saying out loud her decade of trauma and constant loss in her eyes, the latest one having just happened a MOMENT AGO, and then Caitlyn is here and telling her "I'm not judging your choice, I was expecting your choice, and I'm here because of your choice."

Caitlyn is giving a (somewhat, relative) positive stance to Vi's desire to always believe in people at the end of the day.

Of course Vi craves more of that, in this highly emotional moment.

Anyway. Just my personal reading of the scene. I think Vi was paralysed in this prison cell. Not just trapped by her sister's choice, but by all her choices leading her right back where she'd started. And Caitlyn offered a key. Again.
