i love this sunshine boy with my entire heart; all he ever did was want to thwart evil and be a good king ─ he didn't deserve any of the trauma he endured. he always stuck out to me despite not being as relevant as other characters during past seasons, i wholeheartedly believe he was robbed. the whole plotline with chaos would've been much more intriguing if it was already a pre established concept, but alas.

his reasons for being the main villain in 4kota makes so much sense when you realize that this was a heavily traumatized 16 year old boy whose country was constantly at the epicentre of divine conflict (which shouldn't even involve him btw) and, as a result, it was constantly destroyed. he had to bury his people, the subjects whom trusted him to ensure their survival 😭 he saw the kingdom he wanted nothing more than to rule it the way it deserves to be governed leveled to the ground...once again, due to a conflict that didn't involve him....

racism aside, he's such a tragic, tragic character. he deserves the absolute best and wayyyyy better role models/adult figures than who he got (merlin) and i just love him so much and my heart bleeds for my sunshine boy....arthur, come back to me....
