when i first started in this world i thought the only way to gain was stuffig! and while yeah its hot it lead me down a path of overeating and feeling super uncomfy and often spoiling my appetite for a few days tbh. id frighten myself with how much food i had and wouldn’t eat as much cause i couldn’t keep up in my head the stuffing sessions often enough

Here’s what i’ve found really helps which idk it seems obvious but not as hot as the fantasy of a huge stuffing for every meal. it’s just slightly increased portions of stuff i’d already be eating if im having a sandwich maybe have two or and and half, just take a larger serving of dinner

just slightly over eat so your at a soft level of fullness it’s noticeable but i haven’t been overstuffed and unable to function

i’ve been doing this for a like a week and a bit now and i’ve put on 6lbs and i’ve been so much hungrier than i used to be, my stomach understands the assignment and im needing more and more food casually instead of one big stuffing just increasing everting and when i do t feel as full i just grab a snack it’s not uncomfy full just noticeable enough

idk if this’ll work for you but gaining doesn’t mean making yourself feel sick or uncomfortable with crazy big stuffings constantly that’s just not maintainable and will lead to burn out just have to eat a bit more all the time

He knows what it's like to deal with a chronical illness and, therefore, is the best prepared out of the three.

Viktor always has an eye on you and practically studied what makes your sickness get worse. He sees the patterns and tries his best to quickly get you out of situations that could provoke them.

Sometimes, he feels guilty that he isn't able to do more to help you, especially when he, too, is suffering. He appreciates your presence because of that, since you're a comfort to him and someone who understands how he feels. You spend a lot of time together, perhaps even cuddled up during darker days, just not to not feel alone.

He definitely makes your room extra comfortable whenever your flare-ups return. Viktor will get you your favorite food or drink and just sit by your bed until you feel a bit better.

Absolutely works in your room whilst you're laying sick in bed, as he's worried you may get worse in his absence. This indirectly also gets him out of the laboratory often, which does him way more good than he may realise.

All in all, he's the best person to have around when dealing with a difficult chronical illness.

She's hellbent on finding a cure one way or another. Cait is stubborn and doesn't take no for an answer. To her, even the impossible may become possible if she works hard enough. So expect the best doctors in Piltover to fuss over you at all times.

She might come off as overbearing at times, mainly because she's extremely worried about your health. Seeing you sick and exhausted all the time hurt her.

Definitely spoils you with anything and everything you want in hopes of distracting you from the pain you were in, even if it's just momentarily.

Tries taking walks with you at times, even if they are short and quick. She thinks that fresh air is good for your health and that you appreciate the time you spend together that way.

If you're feeling lonely, she'll lay in bed with you and speak with you about random topics, anything that comes to mind. She'll definitely also talk about work and the missions she went on.

She may not be able to relate to you, but she'll educate herself on everything regarding your health and illness in the hope of making life easier for you.

She feels helpless at times. She really does, and it hurts to see you hurt. Unable to really help or find a potential cure/doctor to make things easier, she becomes a little creative with the way she deals with it.

Vi is extremely overprotective and doesn't let you do much on your own. Expect her to do absolutely all the heavy lifting and some of the harder household chores, just so that you don't have to exhaust yourself even more.

Tries making your days better by thinking of fun and accessible things to do. She wants to distract you from the pain and give you a semi-normal life, as she believes you deserve at least that.

Longgg cuddle sessions in which you just talk and laugh. It's the best way to wind down during a flare-up. It also helps with any loneliness you may feel.

She tries using her connections with Cait and so on to get you some help when things get seriously bad. She's terrified of losing you and can't bear the thought of it. It keeps her up at night.

Every day may be a new challenge, but she'll never give up on you, that's for sure.

i often think about what would've happened if reader hadn't accepted vox's little financially stablility + protection deal (↓ excerpt from HNO)

He circles around behind you, soft hand massaging your shoulders as he speaks into your ear, "You wouldn't have to live in that crappy apartment anymore. No more worrying about rent, food, anything. It'd all be taken care of.". You turn your head and meet his gaze, your expression unconvinced. He scowls at your expression, red rings appearing in his eye in a pattern. Shit, he's trying to hypnotize you. You have to fight it.

"You will be mine. Your role here at VoxTech has changed, alright?" he commands, the once repulsive idea now sounding strangely enticing. You close your eyes and shake your head, "No! Stop, you can't manipulate me like this.". He scoffs, tired of hearing your rejections, "Oh, be serious! Do you really wanna live out the rest of your afterlife being nothing? Face it, without me, you can't get out of the dull life you have.". As much as you wanted to yell at him, tell him he was wrong, you didn't... You hated yourself for even considering his deal. On one hand, you'd be with someone unfathomably unstable... on the other, you'd be financially stable for the first time in your life... you'd be protected and loved, something you've never had. "...Fine," you hesitantly agree."

for a little background, life for reader hasn't been easy. they live paycheck to paycheck trying to make a living for themselves but they weren't interested in being an overlord and its pretty hard to climb the latter to success in hell. they live in a shitty apartment, which is livable 'till the exterminations.

in pt 2 im gonna write a bit about the exterminations and how readers financial instability led her to this unfathomable "relationship" with Vox (maybe idfk guys jioewu4fkbj).

vox reallllyyy manipulated reader into being with him. keep in mind, he had observed her for a while non-stop, he knew that readers living situation was a sorce of insecurity in their life and knew exactly how to use that against them. most of the things that vox does are meticulously planned to get what he wants in one way or another.

if reader hadn't accepted his deal, oh he fs would've force-hypnotized them into being with him.

i had a whole scenario written out where that happened actually, but i thought it wouldve been more interesting if Vox had manipulated reader to show off the power dynamics between the two. yeah reader thinks vox is fucking crazy but what were they supposed to do? Vox could easily get them to do whatever he wants anyways, hence the non-con that would have occurred.

i got a wee bit sick to my stomach writing out that sequence and how gut-wrenching reader felt afterward so i scrapped it bc omg i wanted to barf ajwhdajd.

My roommate got me a recipe book from that TikTok fantasy tavern guy, "recipes from the lucky gryphon"? So we could also take a shot at a few of those, although im not really familiar with his work. We will be making Stuffed Cabbage from Lord of the Rings Online today!

SO, “what goes in to this Stuffed Cabbage?” YOU MIGHT ASKYou cant kinda put whatever you want for seasonings and even the meat filling. I used ground beef but pork and lamb are also stellar candidates.

Ground beef

A head of cabbage

Oregano

Red pepper flakes

Crushed tomato

2 rolls filled me up for a meal and i made about 20-ish from one head of cabage

A bit plain tbh, the texture is great but I'd really double up on the seasonings

A blank canvas for you to impart your spice preferences onto

Reheating makes it taste almost identical to fresh

Would pair well with a hot sauce dip

could also go well with an artichoke dip

If you run out of room and need to layer the rolls, I'd try experimenting with pouring some of the crushed tomato and sauce inbetween the stacked rolls. Otherwise the ones at the bottom lack a lot of the tomato flavor. However it might make the bottoms on the rolls laying ontop soggy?

I've never blanched anything before. Theres not much western food that calls for it, meanwhile whenever my friend from malaysia shows a dish they ate, 9 times out of 10 the vegetables are blanched. Much easier process than the fancy name might suggest- boil water and dunk the thing in until its done. Whatever 'done' may be for the thing you are cooking.

Also for the ground beef (or whichever meat you use) you don't have to cook it beforehand, but in doing two tries at making these cabbage rolls i would recommend you at least season your meat before mixing it with everything else. The meat will cook to a safe temperature inside the cabbage rolls, i just prefer the taste and texture of it when cooked twice.

I give this recipe a meandering 7/10 (with 1 being food that makes one physically sick and 10 being food that gives one a lust for life again.) I want to review more horrible recipes, truly i do, so that the rating scale isnt always a 6 and above, but whenever i try something horrible its like "why the fuck would i put all the effort into making and sharing a review of this thing i Do Not Want others to eat????" yknow?? Would people be interested in roasting horrible recipes? 

🐁 ORIGINAL RESIPPY TEXT BELOW 🐁

Ingredients:

1 yellow onion

6 cloves of garlic

2 eggs

2 lbs ground beef

1 1/2 cup cooked rice

1 large head of cabbage

28oz crushed tomato

14oz tomato sauce

Oregano

Thyme

Red pepper flakes

Cumin

Salt/pepper

Method:

Saute garlic and onion in butter over medium heat until onions are caramelized. When done, remove from heat and let cool.

Season the beef to your liking with cumin, red pepper, and salt. Very, very lightly cook the beef in the same pan used for the garlic and onions. Cook until it starts to brown, but dont let it darken. 

Beat eggs thoroughly with oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Add all of the above ingredients together in a bowl with (cooked!) rice. Mix thoroughly then cover and let rest in the fridge.

Core and blanche your cabbage in boiling water, peeling them off as they become limp.

Once you've separated all the leaves, cut off any thick stems that would prevent the leaf from folding.

Put roughly 2 tablespoons of meat filling into each leaf. Fold the sides of the leaf inwards and roll it up. Place each cabbage roll seam-down into a casserole dish.

If they don't all fit in one layer, its more than okay to stack. Try not to stack more than 2 layers though.

Once you've used all the cabbage, take your can of tomatos and pour them over the rolls. Mix some oregano into the tomato sauce and pour that over the rolls as well.

Bake uncovered in the oven at 350 for about 2 hours. Dont worry if a bit of tomato on top looks burnt.

IF REHEATING LEFTOVERS: Bake 10 cabbage rolls in the oven at 320 for about 40 minutes. Reduce time for less rolls.

here’s some things i noticed/wondered/loved:

- i think in that scene where tom is on the ground yelling for sonic, he is wearing a special forces suit. maybe he upgraded from cop to working with gun?? if so i think that’s a really good use of his character actually! he wanted to save a life and raise a family above all else yes, but he still got his previous dream of doing more serious cop work!

- shadow just. has a big ass portal?? like holy shit he’s just suckin the life outta earth and ig that’s one way to do it (or maybe it’s just a ring and i’m stupid idek)

- i’m sure we’ll learn more about this in the actual movie so i’m not too worried, but i’m super confused at the very beginning scene. apparently sonic didn’t change his heart…but he did tho? like he learned what being a true hero meant in the last movie. tbh i feel like that’s enough but hey i’m not against more character development for our boy so!! (also that bit where he’s like “in my lungs” was actually really funny to me, ben schwartz’ awesome delivery caught me off guard)

- GERALD ROBOTNIK ALIVE HUUUUH?! tbh i would’ve preferred if maria was alive, i feel like that would be an interesting dynamic. but also ig that would make it harder for shadow to learn anything so i totally get it. anyways i’m just glad they’re putting a little twist on the story, it keeps it interesting. they already sorta did that with the knuckles and iblis thing actually! (even if that show sucked ass and although that probably wasn’t intentional 😭)

- even tho bro only got like… 3 lines, i really think keanu fits shadow. he’s very soft spoken in comparison to the rest of the case which feels nice. also he’s like the “really bad” guy so ofc he’s not gonna be yappin on and on like sonic or robotnik and he’s gonna take things uber seriously.

- where was my girl maddie :( i think she was only in like a singular frame. hope shes in the movie a somewhat significant amount. i heart pretzel lady!! could live without wade tho like pls im so sick of his bowling soap opera 💀

- FAT ROBOTNIK FAT ROBOTNIK FAT ROBOTNIK!!! after fucking 3 movies they finally fulfilled jim carrey’s wishes!! let the man get creative like please i love jim carrey sm aughdfhfnfmschxj. also love how we got so much stobonik content within that short scene like jesus come get y’all’s food

- shadow at one point says something along the lines of “when we’re done, there won’t be anything left.” maybe i’m reading WAY to into this but what does the “we’re” part mean?? is he working with others? i feel like this is either gonna be team dark or some new movie exclusive character(s). edit: someone made a valid point that he’s actually probably referring to gerald (look at reblogs!)

i actually slept, so this day was not as bad as previous one… if anything i was just sick and coughing… i called off work for saturday bcs no way in hell was i gonna work like this and it actually is saturday as i write this and thank lord himself i called off………. anyways today we would have a breakfast christmas thing ? very triggering for me… but i would still attend because, i had to !

i got there and there were little napkins and actual candles lit too, which was cute… i felt afraid ? idk i was not comfortable…. then all the food got arranged. before i went there, i went to the store to buy some food, i ended up getting 2 packs of the bite size mini milka brownies… i thought they were cute !! i always loved them as a kid

it was very yummy ! it was a bit weird cause he didn’t make them right so they really stuck to the cupcake shapes BUT the taste was actually very very lovely :( it was like, one of the only things i really wanted to try you know ? and haku made it so i knew it couldn’t be that high in calories, i still counted it simply as “roze koek” in my cal counting app ehe

haku also had them and he also liked them and said he could’ve made them better but in his defence he makes a lot of his sweets lower in calories and all the way from scratch ^^

item 2 : this.. dark chocolate homemade brownie ?

yeah i dunno, someone made this haku said it came out of a “mystery box” the same way his cupcakes did so i reaaally don’t know what this was but it was ok, kinda dry and not that.. flavourful…

haku didn’t like this i think lmfao.. he literally tore off a tiny corner and we split that corner in half that’s why it’s literally crumbs we were laughing cause it was barely anything but we wanted to try it HAHAHA

item 3 : half of my milka brownie

haku really wanted to try my milka brownies since that’s the item i brought ! i grabbed one and we split it in half, of course it was good it was just a store bought item… im happy he liked it though. by the end of the thing actually all of these were gone so im glad my classmates enjoyed them

item 4 : blondie (instead of brownie)

yeah i put it in my mouth then spit it back out cause the way that there was fucking nuts in this and that’s like one of my number one fear foods no way in HELL was i swallowing that…. i did swallow a little bit of it but yeah i spit most of this out.

haku grabbed us both one and split it in half for us not even giving me the chance to grab my own and tbh for a second i was like wow he really loves me he made that look so casual and didn’t even give me a chance to overthink it on my own. very comforting … but yeah it was gross i didn’t like this one i regret eating this the most

item 5 : pistache cheesecake thing that highkey failed so my classmate froze it in the freezer LOL

i had 2 bites of this cause this tasted so good just like ice cream it was like… the best thing at this table but i hated eating it cause that classmate particularly just grosses me out he used to be my friend but i don’t see him that way anymore

and haku put this weird mental image of him actually making the food and getting his gross hands in there and he for sure wouldn’t have washed them ect ect and so i threw the plate away cause of i didn’t i would for sure devour the whole slice it tasted so good and im mad it was so delicious…. sigh

oh and i also had a corner of this sugar cookie thing i forgot a pic but that was like 28 cals ???

i walked away feeling pretty proud i didn’t binge but feeling guilty i would have to eat dinner later that day… however a bunch of sweets cannot sustain me sadly i know u junkorexics idk how u guys do it !!!! i felt rlly judged in my class tho, especially by my teacher ? but im proud of myself for doing what i had to do and not just shovelling my mouth absolutely full

i spent most of my day feeling actually extremely sad. i acted happy but i really wasn’t lol. i went to my second class and i finished an assignment and in my last class instead of getting to enjoy illustrating i was working on something else i ended up giving up on anyways so like what’s the point… in one of the breaks my friend brought me an energy drink and that was cute bcs it made me kinda happy he remembered me…..

i ended up having 3 energy drinks this day i think ? anyways afterwards i went home and i said goodbye to haku for the last time in a while ;; we’re in winter break now so i won’t see him for quite a bit… he gave me a nice hug and the train ride home was silent.. walked home today, i felt okay and not too tired

um…. chicken with some sauce… it was a weird color… maybe green… ? some kind of.. slab.. i think meat or chicken or something… um anyways ;; brussel sprouts and a small banana also

my neighbours brought us some food, no clue why, i think it’s the ones where somebody passed away so they brought us food ?? im.. not sure what it is. i still ate it of course but, it for sure wasn’t my favourite or anything

the chicken was good i mean, kind of hard to make it taste bad. that slab tasted pretty good too i just legit couldn’t figure out what it was. there was a pool of like.. green liquid oozing out of it idk if u can see but that threw me offs bit. im really open to new food but i personally dont like green oozing off my meat idk… maybe im picky ? in my defence, my mom didn’t even like it

the brussel sprouts omg… my mom said should i sauté it ? i said sure and she did it in butter and soy sauce and i was like… this is fine… this is fine…. so when she left i shook off each bit of butter and i disposed of the butter in paper towel cause do not play with me pls…

and banana was good… simple and good.. i don’t remember what else i did lmfao im so deadass i just can’t recall. i think i just kinda laid around and um drew some rocks… some sakura flowers… probably like, a couple lines for the board of my drawing… aha… i keep getting frustrated cause my touchscreen only responds half the time buuut its fine cause i updated my OS and its working a bit better… aha… haha… if i have to… buy a new ipad…. im gonna crash out and kill myseld ^^
