Trying to organize my ask notebook better since I've run out of space under general fandom asks and I would like to know what fandoms you are in so I can ask the correct people about the correct fandoms.
I think my main ones are Bagginshield/The Hobbit, Sherlock/Johnlock, Dragon Age Inquisition, {Pippin/Faramir Merry/Eowyn}/The Lord of the Rings and I dip my toes in a few that I currently can't remember but ones I don't engage in canon at all are Good Omens but only for Crowley/Azirapheal ship, Stranger Things but only for Steve/Eddie ship, The Witcher but only for Geralt/Jaskier things and Ladybug and Cat Noir but only for Adrinette .
Also do you like getting asks that are or include story ideas or snippets?
*Asks are sent for fun, no pressure to answer within a certain amount of time or at all.
Hi Lovely!!!
OH GOSH OH GOSH OKAY, I'm actually part of a lot of fandoms!!! I'm not very active in a lot of them these days but I LOVE asks about them. My main active ones I either participate in or lurk in currently (with my preferred ship in the brackets):
BBC Sherlock (Johnlock)
Good Omens (Ineffable Husbands)
Moon Knight (Layla / The Moon System)
Loki Series (Mobius / Loki)
Red Dwarf (Lister / Rimmer)
Detroit: Become Human (Hank / Connor)
Here are the other ones I still adore and visit frequently, and was a big part of the fandoms:
Darkwing Duck (Drake / Morgana)
Sonic SatAM (Sonic / Sally and Bunnie/Antoine)
TMNT 2005 and TMNT 2012 (Casey/April in '05, none in the other. Leo is my fave character in both series. He always has the best character developments and stories)
And here are some other fandoms I check out and love and adore:
Kingdom Hearts Series (Sora / Kairi, but my fave character is Roxas)
Avatar: The Last Airbender (Katara / Zuko. I'm STILL SALTY that it was literally RIGHT THERE and the much better ship and they still went with the boringest one)
Assassin's Creed Series, more the modern era RPG games but I love pretty much all of them. My fave one is Black Flag, though. I loved it so much.
Our Flag Means Death (Stede/Ed)
And some other random fandom things:
Stitch is my favourite Disney character of all time, and Maleficent is my favourite Disney Villain.
My oldest fandom is the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom. There was a time I had to play every Sonic game ever made, until they got bad for awhile. I participated in the fandom when I was in my teens and early 20s, and wrote a fairly popular fanfic series based on the Sat AM series (which I argue is still the best Sonic TV show ever, and it's Sonic/Sally forever for me, I don't like Amy Rose at all). My fave character from the games is Shadow though, followed by Knuckles and then Sonic LOL.
Kingdom Hearts Series is my fave video game series of all time, followed by Skyrim, then Assassin's Creed. I AM that idiot who will buy all the games of these series Day One. I love the worldbuilding in all three of these series and they're ripe for AUs.
I Love the MCU, despite its flaws. I usually see every single Marvel movie or show when they come out. Aside from the MCU fandoms listed above, my other faves are Antman 1 and 2, Guardians of the Galaxy 1, Avengers Endgame, Doctor Strange, Hawkeye, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Fruits Basket (Kyo / Tohru). I actually love the revamped 2019 series, as it follows the manga and it was completed.
Ranma 1/2 (Ryoga / Akane) is my fave anime though. The manga is really good, I read the whole thing in one night on one of those translation sites.
I also love Dragon Age: Inquisition!! Not super familiar with much of the lore since I've only played it once, but I loved it. The world was so interesting and I want to play The Vielguard, though I might wait until it goes on sale since it's not a must-play at the moment for me.
There's SO MANY MORE I could add, HONESTLY, but I'll be here forever listing shows and nostalgia that still makes me SO happy. I LOVE talking about fandoms so I love getting these kind of asks! I can write more if you'd like LOL.
AND to answer your final question, YES, LOVE THEM. I add them to my 'writing prompts' tag for my or others' reference if a spark of something comes to me, AND I love getting story snippets because even if they aren't, they feel like little gifts for me, you know? Because someone took time out to share them with me, you know?? AHHH, so yes, if you or anyone else has them, please share them!!
Thank you for this ask, I love talking about my other fandoms!! Please feel free to ask me more about fandoms, all!!

People seem to forget that
its generally middle age people who DRIVE fandom. "The First Fandom" was the first recognised Fandom group, organised by an adult man in 1958.
If you know your fandom history then yoou knpw that it was the Star Trek fandom, and those older fans, who helped shape Fanndom spaces into what they are today.
Heck, FF.net was founded by Xing Li and other students in 1998, the info is private, but it is believed that they are still in charge, which means that the owner of Ff.net is at least 40 years old.
A03 was created in 2008 by a middle aged person (I apoligise for forgetitng their name and pronouns) who woud now be at least 50.
Learn your fandom history and how and why you younger fans have spaces to read and write to your hearts content and it isn't because of the younger teen fans (who of course are as welcome as any other fan). It is the older people who are still passionate about fandom and fandom spaced, even whilst juggling adult lives and adult responsibilties.
The next time you (general you) want to be agesit, remeber the reasons you should be grateful for older fans, the way fandoms are grateful for new, younger blood. There is space for us all in fandoms. No matter our ages.
(If my info is incorrect, plese let me and thers know. I've been in fandom spaces for over 25 years and you can pry my blorbos out of my cold, dead, hands!)

I don't think it's millennials who ruin fandom. I think it's people like this who cannot get over their ageist, bullshit prejudices and decide they're the fandom police.

One of the more fascinating examples of fandom’s faves-based morality I’ve personally encountered recently was the number of people in the Mon Mothma tag who were absolutely BURNING with righteous fury at her 13-year-old daughter in Andor, when the worst things we have actually seen said character do are (1) be kind of a little shit to her mom (again, she’s thirteen) and (2) fall victim to a space tradwife cult. You know, because she’s thirteen. And has a pretty self-evidently lonely and unpleasant home life. And lives directly in the rotten beating ideological heart of space fascism.
The number of people vocally wishing punishment on a fictional tween was WILD. I unfollowed that tag after ~48 hours lol

I know it comes with the territory in Souls games, but I always get a little wistful and sad when I reach Altus Plateau and the Roundtable Hold starts to empty out. depending on how you handle things with Diallos he’s in and out of the hold a couple times, and Ensha doesn’t tend to last much longer once the player’s reached western Liurnia, but Corhyn can just… leave. admittedly this prompts an interesting quest line with important lore, but realizing Corhyn can get up and leave and then (depending on quest timing) realizing Rogier died in his sleep while you were away, seeing Fia goad D into making a move and then leaving the Hold after dealing with him, it’s just…sad.
the Dung-Eater arriving initially got me hoping that a few more people would gradually trickle in but that’s not the case, and by the end of the game it’s just you, Hewg, and Roderika alone in an area that once felt if not crowded at least comfortably busy. there were people living here, there were rooms conspicuous for their emptiness rather than that being the norm.
the Hold always feels a little bit like a once-bustling space that’s long since been emptied, but when you first get there there’s this slightly hopeful atmosphere of those glory days possibly returning as you and your new comrades supposedly work toward the same task. that’s the point, obviously, but it’s still sad to see it die—to see this former communal space where (it’s fun to imagine) these brave and stalwart people gathered to discuss their journeys, trade resources or help each other out, and confer over battle strategy, become desolate and lonely again.
the Hold is a place full of potential, and it really cultivates a ‘wow, I wish I could’ve seen this place when it was full of champions working together’ sort of feeling’. it feels like it’s part of a history of chivalric romance and epic quests, and seeing it reduced to a burning empty husk only underlines how far it’s fallen. I really love it there. it’s silly, but I wish we got to see it when it was at the height of its usage back in the Tarnished’s heyday.

STOP I'm thinking about the part in Gravity Falls where Stan shows up with freshly bought (stolen) light bulbs only to see Ford screwing a new one in surrounded by family.
And OH my GOD. AGH.
Stan gets a little (ir)rationally upset about this because... It's.. Guys,,,
Stan perceives it as Ford once again easily receiving the praise and love of their family when he had to fight tooth and nail to receive even half of it.... I'm not well ✋😔
#listen I might be too deep in the fandom space and i might actually be mischaracterizing them completely#I'm not saying that Dipper and Mabel don't appreciate and love Stan because they definitely do!!#I'm saying Stan is seeing Ford reintegrate into their new family and he's seeing him do it. so. easily.#So easily When Stan had to PRETEND to be FORD to get even a chance to be a part of their family again#Stan FOUGHT to be a part of this family#and Ford just gets to slide in and... just. be a part of it.#and i mean duh but also... man Idk#Stan had to pretend to be Ford to get even a smidgen of a foothold to be able to even just... interact with his family#Stan's a family man that HAS to look out for everyone but Ford's just.. family. He gets to just... be a part of them with no real obligatio#And I'm not saying Ford doesn't love his family I'm saying he's very repressed and bad at showing it sometimes#It's just that... Stan fought SO hard to be a part of his family. THIS family. That is all he has EVER wanted#and FORD- who had it and took it all for GRANTED- gets to waltz back in and just.... take it for granted AGAIN#hang on guys i think I'm starting to take this a little personally i need to calm down wow#Okay.... I think I'm good#But you get where I'm coming from#cole's talking#gravity falls#grunkle stan#stanley pines#grunkle ford#ford pines#stangst#stan twins#These tags really got away from me huh#Ahem-- all that to say I think Stan's vague resentment in that scene is valid!!

being an adult means we can buy or make as much self-indulgent shit (as we can afford) and unironically have trinkets of our fave things cause our teen years was bullied for liking things and hiding/denying we were ever neurodivergent to the point of suicide. sucks for anyone that thinks its weird cringe but I'm going to try and allow myself to love myself in little ways now
