I was tagged by the so many lovely mutuals and creators! Thank you @elderwisp, @savagemagician3, @sikoi, @blvckentropy, @mosneakers, & @azeterna! I love yall so much!

I'm so sorry, despite my very best efforts I couldn't choose just 24, so have 30 instead 😅

Looking at all these together, I'm worried I may have plateau'd just a bit 😅 No but in reality, it's really cool to see that I've refined my style and methods over the year, starting in January and continuing it all through 2024. Seeing progress and improvement is one of my favorite things about this process, so doing these recaps is always enjoyable.

January:

Looking back, I'm still so proud of the first dancing set of renders for Ariss & Vasily, and who could forget the first Alice sighting?? I can't, look at her.

February:

February was a bit of a slow month for me but I still love how this A+tM album cover came out!

March:

March was a bit slower, but I love this set of Ariss (:

April:

April was a goood month, I'm still so in love with all three of these.

May:

MerMay was lacking for me a bit this year, but I really love how my contribution turned out (: & this spicy render of Ariss & Vasily is one of my favorites, if for no other reason than his little fang peek.

June:

June was all about Alice + the Madness! & like LEGIT? I still can't believe I made this Rolling Stone cover? I have a secret, I've tried to make another one for Alice, but nothing has or probably will ever look as good as this one so I've given up lmfaoooo

& this render of Erisande was such a labor of love. I sat down and said it'd be really quick and then spent hours editing meshes and adjusting the lighting... but then, that always happens with me and "quick" renders 😅

July:

Bit of a slow month, but I'm still so floored (& happy!) about the love Millie has gotten! This isn't even a completed render and it's one of my most well-received posts to date haha, but I can't blame anyone, look how cute she is.

August:

Ramping up into spooky season we have two of my favorite renders of all time, my "bog demon" and mothwoman! As obsessed as I am with Ariss and Vasily, it's really nice to do creative one-off renders and these were both SO FUN to do. I hope to do more in the new year too (:

September:

This iconic portrait of Ariss will always be one of my favorites (& is actually my computer's wallpaper rn, but a version updated with her 'new' tattoos), & this render of Kai could definitely be improved on (maybe in the new year...) but it was a really fun challenge! I do see flaws in it now but that's growing and learning!

October:

October was (not surprisingly) a very busy month for me! The idea for the render of Theo & Millie had been rolling around in my head since I first created them, & while the end result wasn't exactly what I was envisioning, I still really love how it turned out.

& though this set of renders for Ariss & Vasily took me FOR-FUCKING-EVER, and I see a lot of flaws even now (after trying my damnedest to have NONE), I still really love it. The end result/edit/colorway was NOT what I planned but I really fell in love with it.

November:

November, the month of ambitious scene-building, pose-making, and upping my skin shader game in a BIG way. I spent literal hours perfecting Ariss' new tattoo, and literal days building the scene for that gorgeous render of Kai.

& I'm so glad yall love that pose set! It was definitely a learning experience and a labor of love.

December:

Looking at this overview, December has been dark and spicy lmfao but I actually love it. Once again, all of these took wayyyy longer than I thought they would when I sat down to start them, but I'm genuinely in love with all three!

& that's a wrap (so far) on 2024! I'm having surgery tomorrow so not sure I'll be able to create/post anything else this year, but I have big plans for 2025! So stay tuned (:

The show wants Rhaenyra to be Visenya so bad. You know...the Visenya who was the eldest child...and never put forth herself to inherit Dragonstone over her younger brother Aegon...and never protested that her younger brother Aegon was the one crowned King...and when he died she still never put forth her claim and instead immediately advocated for her son Maegor....

....that Visenya? Who did the literal opposite of everything Rhaenyra is doing right now? Does this show know a single thing about her other then "uh woman carry sword"????

SERIOUSLY! They keep bringing up Visenya but don't talk about her more than "badass woman with sword who rode Vhagar" but she was more than that. She was a VERY politically savvy person, it literally says that Aegon during Aegons rule he let his sisters rule but he had finally say. That also includes the time when Rhaenys died, that means Visenya made political decisions. If I'm honest I always thought Alicent was closer to how Visenya was rather than Rhaenyra but that could just be me.

The show runners also seem to forget everything about the conquers besides "one was pretty, one was king, and one was a badass with a sword...who was also a woman" like they don't bring up ANY of the others except Visenya. The most they did for Aegon the Conquer was for Aegons 2nd Nameday. They mess up timelines, who did what and why, and it doesn't just go for the Conquers it also goes for King Jaehaerys and Good Queen Alysanne.

But back to what you were saying lol, they want Rhaenyra to be Visenya and it shows, they also want her to be like Dany and it shows. But the thing is, you can't blend the two, Dany is VERY different from Visenya so all they are doing is making Rhaenyra bland. What they should have done is let Rhaenyra be who she was in the book, let her be the spoiled girl who doesn't care for duty, let her be the girl who wears rich fabric and expensive jewelry, stop making her a tomboy! Them changing how she was feminine and regal into her being a tomboy honestly shows how sexist they are.

Some plots that I want to see for Arc 3 before I actually lose my sanity bcs I WILL be throwing hands if Netflix doesn't give us a sign:

Planning for the return of Aaravos (obviously). Claudia's return alongside with it too dont forget. (i wonder how she'll look like)

Callum learning all the arcanums. I feel like this is really important because this will help with defeating Aaravos since it's been shown he knows all primal sources. I want to see Callum at his strongest too it's gonna be so cool ngl.

Aanya and Ezran + Soren and Corvus TOGETHER PLEASE 🕯️🕯️🕯️

Kim'dael (or however you say her name) What happened to her? Where is she and why did they completely forget about her existence? I was expecting Rayla to go against her in a battle especially after what she did to her as a kid, but ig we were robbed once again. We could've maybe seen her in a bloodmoon form if that is possible for normal moonshadow elves to do.💔

Claudia either having the most emotional redemption arc (I still have a tiny bit of hope left for my girl), or becoming a full fledged villian. Maybe even worse than Aaravos. No inbetween because as much as I love this show sm, it can be a bit undecided with it's plots here and there.

Rayla finds out she's pregnant. Guys just hear me out. It could be such a good plot, kind of like Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Whilst planning for Aaravos's return, they also have to deal with the first halfling baby that hasn't been seen in Xadia for years (i think), and if it will have more abilities than usual. And I saw on someone's post that it being born at the end could represent the love and a new era between human's and elves. And other than that, it'd be cute seeing everyone stress over Rayla being reckless the entire time. (I'll pray for them all, especially Callum😭)

Zym becoming the new archdragon king. This is another important plot needed because I'm pretty sure he's the only archdragon left. Unless he goes on some sort of journey to see if there are any other archdragons out there to help rule alongside with him. Plus, we legit heard him talk bruh. I NEED MORE OF DRAGON ZUKO!!!

the most funny thing to me about post chapter 3 is that you already know Azul and the Tweels both pretty much tried to shift as much of the blame as they can to the other party to make themselves look better. Floyd pulling the woe is me card sounds dramatic and hilarious. Azul meanwhile tries to sell the idea that the twins are the master mind.

This is literally the basis of their entire friendship, in my opinion. Or at least it is in their time at NRC. I mean, they trust each other enough to push the blame on each other without having any hard feelings about it later.

It started out with the Tweels pushing the blame on one another as children- Jade would steal some money from their dad, and then Floyd would get blamed because the parents saw him as the main troublemaker (Jade was just more sneaky about it), and he would claim it was Jade's fault, but then Jade would start questioning where Floyd was at the time of the incident, and Floyd would defend his own alibi and would interrogate Jade. It turns into a court case every time with the parents playing the judge. They'd be so entertained by it and the cuteness of it all that they'd forget about any stolen money and would just ship the twins off to bed.

But then when Azul comes into the picture, they have an even better time with it! Because three people means you can blame two different people at once! And the trio learned that if they just kept pushing the blame onto one another (obviously when they grew up, the "court cases" ceased to be endearing and adorable), whoever the accusing party was (whether it was a teacher claiming Floyd copied off of Jade/Azul, or a student bringing up beef with one of them) would find it so annoying that they'd just say "forget it" and walk off.

Now....after book 3. There's a lot of blame to go around.

"JADE AND FLOYD TRIED TO DROWN US AND STOP US FROM GETTING THE PICTURE!" Jade and Floyd, obviously, push the blame onto Azul (who they make a point of calling "boss-man" to emphasize how he's deeeeefinitely the head honcho here). Azul claims he had no idea about it all and that the Eels acted of their own volition, that they were violent sociopaths with a long history of violence (hahaha Talking Llamas with Hats reference....haha-)

"AZUL YOU OVERBLOTTED WHEN LEONA DUSTED YOUR PAPERS, AND YOU HURT ME" Azul tried to innocently suggest that maybe one of the tweels had hurt you instead? Certainly he was too much of a gentleman to hurt a poor defenseless soul such as yourself, even if he was overblotting at the time. Jade points to Floyd, making a gesture that seems like he knew Floyd hurt you instead. Floyd just points right back at Azul, making some outlandish claim like "Azul legit tried to bite your leg what are you talking about??" Azul did not legit try to bite your leg, in fact. It all lies! ALL OF IT!

So, that lady FH episode was amazing and all, but...

Hoo boy, I already see the discourse around the Ratgrinders' fates forming and it is going to be painful. Be careful around the fandom space.

(I mean, resurrection is still on the table for them, but that's based on if the players feel like it and right now, we're looking at 50/50 odds at bests)

Yeah, don't worry about me. This isn't my first rodeo and also I post a lot about D20 and respond to asks I get but I don't actually personally engage with any of The Discourse (tm).

And I'm not really surprised at the reaction. I know people have been opinionated all season in two main camps (that have a lot of overlap): people dissatisfied with the narrative direction and people deeply sympathetic to the Rat Grinders to the point of being mad at the Bad Kids.

The first camp I mostly understand. I get wishing the cast would explore a certain storyline more. For example, I've been on the Aelwyn redemption arc train since literally the first episode of Fantasy High so I was a little disappointed that when that finally came to a head in Freshman Year, it was a big fight and then very little aftermath/unpacking because Aelwyn was sent to jail right after. And Sophomore Year hadn't been announced so I had no idea that she was gonna get another shot. But I wasn't upset or anything. Adaine at that point still hated her sister. She had no reason to want to reach out. And at the end of the day this is other people playing a game. Brennan presented them all the possible plot threads and they were most interested in self discovery, hanging out with each other, doing Shenanigans, and playing Tomb Raider re: Ankarna. Those are all options they were presented and it's not like they were doing crazy off-roading. It's well within the parameters of what D&D is. If you're gonna watch a show like this (or honestly any show), you have to accept that what's most interesting to you isn't always going to be the most interesting thing to the people in the driver's seat.

So yeah, I feel like this side of things I get (even though I'm fine with how things turned out).

The other camp--people being legit mad at the Bad Kids (and in some cases the actual cast) for treating the Rat Grinders like antagonists instead of victims that they were responsible for empathizing with and redeeming--I find kind of wild.

Like…you're mad at the kids who go to Child Murder School for killing kids who want to end the world and kill them specifically? Literally the first day of school the principal of the school says that adventurers are violent wanderers who engage in shenanigans and enact violence. This is the exact assignment they were given and that's what they're doing.

I think it's wild to at the same time believe that the Rat Grinders (who have killed people) are not responsible for their actions and deserve to be talked down while in the process of causing an apocalypse because they're just kids who were manipulated while at the same time calling the Bad Kids evil lunatics for trying to stop them by killing them (in a world where Revivify and Resurrection exist) even though they are ALSO kids who are doing what they've learned at Child Murder School. The Bad Kids have to be mature enough to thoroughly investigate the situation and have nuance about it but the Rat Grinders don't have any responsibility to not join a shady evil murder plan*? And do the Bad Kids really hate the Rat Grinders to the point where they're doing some overkill in this fight? Absolutely. But it's not like they're killing them because they hate them. They're killing them because they're trying to end the world--and they also happen to hate them. Are we forgetting that Kipperlilly killed Buddy--her own teammate--with a gleeful smile on her face? That was so out of pocket.

They're adventurers! Not guidance counselors! If Jawbone was like, "We need to kill these kids," yeah that would be weird but why would the Bad Kids extend an olive branch to the kids who (1) famously hate them, (2) killed at least one maybe 2 of their own party members, (3) endangered the entire student body population an hour ago, (4) are currently trying to end the world. Hell, Adaine was ready to be mean to her own sister in elf jail literally up until the point Brennan described how rough she looked from the torture and that's when she changed her mind. The Power of Love and Empathy is on the menu but it's a special item you only can get if you know the chef. Everyone else is getting a serving of These Hands. Just because you can find a vegan solution to a problem it doesn't mean you're obligated to.

This all comes down to, "Maybe teenagers shouldn't have godlike powers and the ability to play judge, jury, and executioner" but that's literally the premise of the entire show so you can't get around it without rejecting the show's entire premise. If they were like, "Hmm the systems that underpin our world are questionable and we should change the power structures" instead of, "Let's kill some bad guys!" then that's a totally different thing we're doing here!

And, idk man, this show has always had a Who Framed Roger Rabbit style morality where the normal rules of ethics stop applying when it's funny. They beat the crud out of Ragh and then lied to him that he shit his pants just for the bit. A pirate was rude/kinda racist to Riz so they scared him into killing himself. Riz ate the remains of the sentient (albiet evil) dragon he killed. That's all unhinged behavior but none of that is meant to be serious. Getting upset about Fig sending Ruben to hell to me feels like getting mad that Jerry hit Tom with a cartoonishly large mallet.

None of this is new so I have to assume that people are having a big reaction because they relate to the Rat Grinders or just really like them so it feels bad that the Bad Kids are treating them like fodder rather than beloved NPCs.

But again, this is a world where you can bring people back from the dead and the Rat Grinders have showed intent that is grievously neglectful at best and insanely murderous at worst so I can't muster a lot of sympathy for the fact that the Bad Kids are just taking them down without remorse. I don't think you have to try to empathize with the people who are trying to harm you if you don't want to especially while they are in the process of harming you.

(*And we still don't know how voluntarily they joined this plan. We don't know if they were killed and basically forced into resurrecting with rage or if they just leapt at the chance to join a plan that would let them get one over on their rivals. It literally could be either. We've had kid villains on this show strong armed into being party to evil plans by threat of harm (Aelwyn) as well was kid villains who just had their own selfish motivations and weren't tricked at all (Penelope and Biz). We actually don't have any clear answer on how culpable they are. We don't know if they all have rage crystals (except for Buddy). And we don't know how much having a Rage Crystal effects your actions. The best indicator we got is in this latest ep when Brennan said that there was a mechanic where Porter was going to call anyone with a rage crystal to fight for him but that says to me that he's only directly puppeting them when he uses that action and otherwise they have free will and are just angrier. The Bad Kids don't have a reason to believe definitively that the Rat Grinders are just unwilling puppets even if that is the case so of course they're treating them like enemies. Anyway, this is a whole lot of "I don't knows" but that's only because I've seen a lot of people talking like the Rat Grinders literally aren't in control of their actions but that's not info that we have. It could be true but we don't actually know that so it's not a good argument.)

As we know, Oda made the original seven warlords all animal themed. With Doflamingo -duh- being a flamingo 🦩💖. But in this post I wanted to add the additional reasons I find it funny that my favorite warlord is indeed, a bird. Because most birds are chaotic, evil trainwrecks if you didn’t know! Do not be fooled by their elegant propaganda of the American bald eagle, peacock, and such.

Far more bird species are of the hissing/unpredictable/possessive/oversexed/homicidal/drama queen variety.

And as part of my example, I will be introducing my pet cockatiel! He is a male, lutino color variant. I took him to the avian vet recently to get a quick nail trim (he treats my arm like a bloodied ski slope with his little feet razors otherwise).

The likeness is uncanny, right? Spiked up blond hairdo and all. 🤣

But here is my rambling list below of why Doflamingo fits the bird theming beyond just his aesthetics. Note, all species are different. These are just generalities.

1. Birds are needy, attention whores. Realistically, this comes from wanting the attention and safety of their flock. And my bird gets plenty of out of cage time with us. But oh my god, sometimes if he hears me so much as sneeze and he can’t see me…WHY AM I IN THE HOUSE, BUT NOT WITH HIM!? WHY!? RED ALERT. He starts flock calling for me, and I must respond with at least a whistle or he will begin screaming. Because surely, someone must be murdering me if I don’t come to him immediately.

2. They are complete horndogs. Seriously, everyone thinks humping inappropriate things is a male dog exclusive problem. Nope. There are professional bird behaviorists that people literally pay to come teach them how to calm their pet birds’ sexual aggression and the nightmare that can become. You have to be mindful of how you interact with them, lest they start thinking YOU are their mate and begin attacking anyone else in the house who is not you. Because they are jealous. So jealous. I only pet/preen my bird on his head. As that is perfectly platonic flock behavior. But touching anywhere else (back or chest for example) can make them think it’s sexy time. Male birds will hump the utter hell out of “favorite” objects. Birds kept with others must be monitored that no one is getting ganged up on. But it happens in the wild too. Female ducks need pepper spray or self defense classes. I’ll just leave it at that.

3. They are murderous/violent, and easily overstimulated. So my bird weighs around 80 grams give or take. As an adult human, he’s not going to take me down anytime soon. But if he wanted to, he likely could bite me hard enough to go to the bone. He never has truly bitten me, but I watch his body language. He runs up wanting to be petted. Or sits on me long enough that he falls asleep. He likes to be together, but always on his terms. If I touched him too much, or when he didn’t want it, he’d definitely bite me. People have lost eyes to larger birds. People have had to have reconstructive surgery from parrot bites. They can crush whole nuts in their beak. So what do you think they’ll do to your face when they are sitting on your shoulder and suddenly get triggered (which they very easily are)? Humans have been drowned by swans. And forget it when it comes to something like the Cassowary. You’re already dead if they really wanted you to be.

4. They are opportunistic. Oh look, more murder! People think only birds of prey are the true meat eaters. But a pelican would eat you if it thought it could swallow you. Even the smallest birds have been observed killing other birds and small mammals if they can. Food is food. They are not cute to their victims. They are survivalists. No mercy. Ever. Some baby birds actually eat their own nestmates if one sibling is stronger than the others (sorry Rosi, there really was a precedent for that 😰).

5. They are territorial. And still more murder! In my own yard we have birdhouses made for Eastern bluebirds. They’re a species that legit benefits from human intervention as bluebirds will only nest in cavities, which they have less of now because of deforestation and competition with non native species taking said cavities. Non native species (for the US anyway) of the European house sparrow in particular. House sparrows are tiny. Smaller than a bluebird. But they will slaughter a bluebird family. All over territory during breeding season. They enter the bluebird nest and will peck even the adult bluebirds to death if they can catch them on the nest. They killed a male bluebird of ours this way. Now we put up “sparrow spookers” on our active bluebird nests once eggs are in the box. It’s just mylar streamers that blow in the wind, and the sparrows are afraid to fly through it. But every breeding season we have to go through this again. Basically Riku dynasty versus Donquixote dynasty in our backyard with the invading house sparrows.

And I could go on and on really, about greed, mood swings, vanity, etc. But you get the idea now. Murder, sex, and bright plumage. Heavy emphasis on the murder especially. He really is a bird in every sense of the word. 😅

Edit: Oh! And I forgot grudges! Some birds will hold a grudge for ages. Just ask a crow. I thought my bird would be over my betrayal of the vet visit by today. Nah. He’s still pissed. He won’t come to me right now. He fakes me out to offer my hand to him, then says, nah, bitch! And opens his mouth like he rather bite. It’ll be a few days I guess. 🤣 Never betray a Donquixote!

(Beginning Relationship Pt. II Edition!)

(I'm trying to be less angst-oriented but that’s a legit struggle when it comes to Turbo, so, let’s see how the topic of the kinds of dates you guys go to fairs till I start going on a tirade🔑… I hope y’all are ready for this, I’m sure as hell not)

- Just stating the obvious here when I say he’s not taking you anywhere particularly nice for dates, not that there’s much of a choice in the arcade in the years he’s around (with Tapper’s release date being 1984 and it is not exactly a fancy restaurant).

- Thinks sitting on the roof of his racing car and talking with you is a date and calls it as such when you bring up that you guys haven’t been on a date for a bit.

- He prefers being in his game over being in any others, his is the best of the best in his eyes… Calls your game tacky sometimes whenever you get on his nerves… Doesn’t apologize about it, he’s so stupid.

- Something about him screams grilled food (ex: burgers, hotdogs, corn, etc) lover, I don’t know why but I can see him burning grilled food and angrily exclaiming as he has to throw away said food.

- Fireworks lover, no explanation I just think he likes how bright it is (… :])

Well, here’s what actually happened and why team Jacob even exists in the first place. There’s a clear split as to what this series is. There’s Twilight and Forever Dawn and then there’s New Moon and Eclipse. She wrote Jake cuz her publisher needed more and she ended up naturally writing the better love interest for Bella, became attached to his character and couldn’t stop writing him. But then she changed Nothing about forever Dawn… so that’s what BD is and why it doesn’t at all match up with the last two books. This is why it’s so easy for me to discard BD like it’s a rotten ass fruit…..

Like I love Jacob cause he’s flawed, nuanced and the only one with common sense in this damn series. He starts as a sweetie sun boy in new moon and then he turns into a dick and an asshole sometimes. I think this is an unpopular decision but I actually like this about Jacob lol. Could you imagine he was sunny boy Jake throughout the shit he’s put through? For what? For him to get even MORE walked on? Nah fuck that. He should be angry. a/n: this is based a little on THIS post i made about clay being the rory character that would have the sweetest girl

. the only way i could imagine you meeting clay was definitely like a childhood sweetheart type thing going on, y'know? - like you met when you were like seventeen, and you just kinda... got stuck with him?

. he's cocky - no doubt about it. this man is the most snarky, sarcastic asshole you'll ever meet

. HOWEVER, he's so sweet on you because he just doesn't wanna break you. but will never say this to your face

. I don't see clay as a very cuddly person, it's just not his thing, even before all the heroin

. however, this man is a sucker for the small things. hell yeah, forehead kisses. absolutely hold my hand. definitely, c'mere, baby, nuzzle your nose against mine

. he's not a big fan of nicknames that much, but his favourite will always be 'babydoll' and I stand by this. clay legit forgets your name because he never uses it

. it's probably not the most healthy relationship, let's be honest, but that's the sad reality of drugs, babe - clay will lie to you, keep secrets from you, and you probably wouldn't even know

. however, that doesn't mean he doesn't love you to pieces, he absolutely 100% does

. clay's very forgetful, he's strung out most of the time, so don't expect him to remember anything important lmao

. is a dog man, and this will be controversial but it's so true - get this man a little fucking golden retriever, I BEG

. he just loves the warmth of a dog - i imagine that clay's always cold, and so always needs to be holding something warm

While I love World Tour something that's always Bugged me is The Hickory's Betrayal plot point.

Hickory is a stranger who they meet at a convenient time who seemingly sticks his neck out to help our main characters for no Reason other than Moral Goodness

and who Branch warns Poppy about Trusting but who she chooses to trust anyway and after a Journey where some trust is built up between the characters

Hickory is eventually Revealed to be a Bounty Hunter who was just getting close to them so he could find out where they had their string so he could give it to Barb

all in all not a bad plot point in the story personally it caught me by surprise the first time I saw it Hickory is a fairly likable character that from what I can understand most of the audience Grew fond of

and Poppy and even Branch Deffo built up a little bit of trust and maybe even friendship with him in the movie making his betrayal work on pretty much every level

a Twist needs to to work except the problem is the movie Really undersells it

after his betrayal he leaves the movie and is only seen again briefly at the end and its a little comedic scene where he proudly remarks about having taught Poppy the trick with using sweets as ear plugs.

my main problem is Poppy having no Real Reaction to his Betrayal as Hickory's turn is done seemingly just to get Poppy caught by Barb and that's it narrative wise

when I feel it should have been more of a turning point for Poppy's character as she's a overly trusting person

who in the last movie got betrayed by someone she trusted very much which Hurt her a great Deal.

and Despite warnings from Branch about Trusting Hickory she still chooses to keep being a trusting person only to get betrayed again

this should have a way bigger Reaction from her even tho she didn't know Hickory all that long she was clearly starting to view him as a friend

and she went out on a whim by trusting him but she got Burned yet again this should have either made her furious or emotionally Devastated her

instead she has very little Reaction to it and it Really didn't seem to at all change her character as in TBT she's back to being overly trusting such as

instantly taking Brozone's sides when Branch is mad at them going out of her way to make excuses for these total strangers

and comforting Crimp and trusting her as soon as she sees her Despite her being a willing accomplice in torturing her boyfriends Brother.

Hickory's Betrayal should have been used as a way to Develop Poppy into a more cautious person less Trusting person

that way the movie wouldn't literally be throwing away this likable character simply because they needed a way for Poppy to be captured for the climax

and his Betrayal would have a legit character Growth purpose so I feel Poppy should be more emotionally impacted by his turn

and he shouldn't just leave the movie after this he should Remain by Barbs side as a Remorseless Henchmen who is nothing but cold to Poppy when she tries to ask him how he could do this.

and Ideally the movies wouldn't just forget about this and Poppy would be a little more cautious when Trusting strangers in future movies

as Poppy's character Development seems to be undone in every movie making it very surface level tbh

so yeah Hickory's Betrayal has always Bothered me from a plot perspective for this Reason as he's an example of a Good Twist Villain in the way he's set up

( unlike someone else who I will be making a post on very soon ) but like I said the movie Really underplays this aspect and it makes it feel very pointless tbh

as there's a million other ways they could have had Poppy get caught by Barb along with the string without the Hickory Twist.
