not really a ramble and more of a brainfart but i really do find it interesting how mercy is,,,really really similar to both ajax and fox, the two girls she replaces in the roll-calls. Like ajax she is very confrontational, quite aggressive, and quick to defend and fight, but like fox she is also quite insecure in her standing and worth in the warriors and is very eager to prove herself to them. and in my opinion, the former makes fox entrust the warriors to her in reunion square, and the latter makes ajax trust her in sick of runnin'. I dunno what this all means but um yea I just find it neat that she takes after the two characters that really got fleshed out the most compared to their movie versions!

shuffles my feet around, most ppl talking about the lore are exclusively talking about love nikki and shining nikki, the two games most ppl started the series with and have been around longer so theyve had time to explore their stories

now granted im assuming this person has only played infinity nikki, if not then hey not everyone is gonna like/care for the lore thats just how it is with video games

i havent spent too much time with infinity nikki bc i move at a snails pace and only play a little bit at a time so i cant say much on its lore

but these games tend to slowly move towards the more out there lore ok you gotta wait like a year before someone dies off

its also a gacha game so ur not getting all the lore at once ok they gotta have reason to keep ppl coming back and playing

Shoutout to me being a dumbass and not realizing the wiki has Eigong's logs...ah yes I am smart.

Anyway, idk if this is anything, but I view Eigong having a rhyzomatic stabilizer(?) thing™ on her head with Yi's on his chest as a lil' symbolic. I can't articulate it fully rn because I'm tired, but it reads as a physical manifestation of Eigong's descent into madness and obsession with immortality. Like...she probably implanted those roots herself, judging by how they're not there in her younger image. She views Fusang as a means to an end (esp with infecting it with Tianhuo...the mutated part she retains in her last stage is right on her Fusang roots).

Meanwhile, Yi was 'chosen.' He was saved by Fusang and has the stabilizer implemented right over his heart to aide the roots (as I see it). Imho, a manifestation of his heart being in the right place...?

i’m so pressured with improving myself as an artist and it’s making me lose it because i’m not even doing art for my career but i love it so much. Like i kinda feel useless doing it sometimes, especially since i see other artists and i know damn well i will never achieve that level and im not saying this for people to feel pity but idk i feel like my art style doesn’t fit tr.???3! or like idk. Sometimes i’ll literally cry because i feel like my art style doesn’t fit rindou and she’s literally my muse, she’s the reason why i get so excited to sit down and draw everyday yet i feel like im just stuck sitting somewhere where i can’t do anything special to show my love for her and it sounds silly.. bc that’s a fictional character but still, ive liked this character for so long and i see improvement just from drawing rindou non stop but i still feel like im just barely touching the surface of improvement. Also i feel like i care too much about what others may like vs what i want to try and draw.. i want to draw her raw and literally how i perceive her, her character, her body, every single aspect of her and why she’s so important to me. Yet i can’t do that because i get so scared of the outcome/how my artwork looks/ how others will perceive it. And im not saying im not happy with my art, i am but there’s just ways i want to do it i feel like wont stick out to others which scares me or it will seem ooc of rindou. literally because of this i always have the urge to delete my account and restart and continue doing that till i feel like i perfected her yet i dont think that’ll ever happen even with how much love i have for that character

for all its faults and eccentricities, the fast and furious franchise could've turned out so much more pro cop, misogynistic, toxically masculine, white washed and unfunny than it did. the fact that it does get laughs, goes around the world, has pretty diverse casting, some okayish criticisms of policing, and like, not bad messaging about the importance of love, connections and family? i'll take it
