As an aroace the sonic compliments saga is EVERYTHING TO ME. he cares about his friends SO MUCH. like he's got so much platonic love for all of them and it's bursting at the seams man. You can't escape the caring about Sonic train when he's so genuine in everything he says towards them

LITERALLYYYYYYYYY Listen I’m INSANE over how everyone is doomed to end up caring about Sonic one way or another simply because he starts caring first. And MAN does he care. He’s so bafflingly genuine in his care. (I was writing a fic about it literally I’m crazy about the concept.) Like, how can you not start caring back? How can you not start caring about this guy that looks at you like you mean the world to him when you feel like you barely know him—heck, when you hate him? How do you stop yourself from caring about someone who chases you to the ends of the earth just to catch you? How do you keep hating someone who screams your name like no one else ever has when you’re falling? How is it possible to not care about this prideful deranged idiot that keeps grinning at you and reaching his hand out again and again no matter how many times you slap it away? How do you stop the inevitability of caring about someone when it’s so clear they care about you? And a lot of the time they start out hating him for it! They hate that they can’t help but care about this snarky annoying unshakeably confident blue thing. And Sonic LAUGHS and SMIRKS about it because he KNOWS. He knows that they can’t help it. He knows the type of person he is and he knows they’re powerless against it. He knows they can’t help but care because he cares and he’s INSUFFERABLE about it.

Y'all tossing ideas up in the air which are delightfully fun but i assure you i have no shortage of them in me head, i haven't even posted my attempt at a human silver design or my half-baked sonic fusions--

speaking of LMK and Sonic. Do you think MK would be a Sonic fan?

I'ma be so fr i don't think that dude would even know sonic exists if they were in the same universe. bro is so fixated on monkey king that anything else might as well be on another planet unless it pulls up right in front of his face and waves at him. after which he would likely go "aw neat" and then forget about it because his father figure is a straight up pig yaoguai so a walking talking hedgehog wouldn't even be out of the ordinary for him he's got a monkey king marathon to catch--

Mei would be a Phantom Rider/Sonic fam. fastest guy ever? So cool. so neat would love to race him one day.

They'd encounter him and Mk would be "oh wow sonic the hedgehog who's that?" and Mei would go on a spiel of "only the fastest person alive and a dope hero heroing around and saving lives like us." And Mk looks at her so blankly. And Mei would be so offended because "i talk about him all the time? I have a poster of him in my room???" and it would cut to Mei's room full of sonic merch and Mk would STILL have no idea what she's talking about. If it doesn't start with "Monkey" and end with "King" it ain't gonna stick in this dudes brain--hgGKLSDKLJF

Chronic Sonic pt 3

Despite what the amount of doodles I'm posting might suggest I really am trying to give my wrist a break

It takes Shadow a hot second to find the blueprints and the notes about his inhibitor cuffs. He's not sure if they'll make it better or worse for Sonic so he's hesitant to try until Sonic goes down mid battle and he risks it. The cuffs work, they're a bit unstable, but they work. So he finishes off the battle with Sonic in tow and goes straight to Tails.

I just read through a few posts about sonic with chronic pain au/thingy

This made me think of the fact that shadow's inhibitor rings serve a similar purpose in canon

Would his inhibitor rings help sonic? Or could tails make something similar specific to what sonic needs? If he hasn't already that is

You're literally correct and I'd be doodling something for it as we speak were I not attempting to take a breakHFJFJTJ

Tails has 100% been attempting to recreate something similar to what Shadows inhibitor rings do and he's gotten pretty close but it takes him a while cuz he's missing some crucial pieces of the puzzle.

Shadows inhibitor rings can work on Sonic short term but they are specifically designed for shadow and while they are very similar there are some big bio differences between them (spicifically the black arms dna) which means Sonic does need something more specifically coded to him.

Me, five minutes later: mwehehehehe chronic sonic…

1. I had the urge to draw an older design for Tails and here we are, Sonic with chronic pain. Tails gloves probably have tasers in there.

2. I imagine after a very dramatic spiral Sonic would eventually admit some things are a little off and Tails would make him some mobility aids, some things to help with joint pain, headaches and something to monitor his heart and help regulate the overabundance of chaos energy in his body.

3. Tails scratched out the “manageable, severe” labels because Sonic kept arguing that 7 was not “unmanageable” and he could handle it so it was more of a 2 when his pain was a 9. They focus on the descriptions now.

So I know I said i was taking a break but next thing I knew this was in front of me I can’t be held responsible for this—

1. This Tails is very used to looking after sonic during really bad episodes. He has to stay calm cause he’s the only one who knows what to do about it. And he does his best not to make a big deal about it or act stressed because then Sonic won’t come to him when it happens. He's a lot better at dealing with his big sibs dumb tendencies now but he also knows Sonic can't just stop helping people.

2. Sonic doesn’t feel any pain when he’s in super sonic mode but it does serious damage to him in the long run. Too much chaos energy through too small an outlet (his body) or something along those lines my head is too empty to explain rn But its his winning play so he will continue to use it if necessary wether it makes things worse for him or not and boy does it make things worse
