I don't know how to articulate this well, but I really fucking hate the way a lot of thin writers write fat characters. Like how men write women "breasting boobily" there is something so dehumanizing about how fat characters are often written. "He waddled", "he lumbered", the writer of the book I'm reading always mentions this characters "fleshy hand" when he does something with his hand. Like, we already know that he's fat. There is no need to describe everything he does as "doing it fatly".

Last night was soul-crushing, lol. Got an actual referral link from someone at a studio for a storyboard position, spent hours fixing up my portfolio and filling out the application, writing a cover letter, basically put my all into every bit of it because I felt like i had an actual chance to AT LEAST have my work seen…

I hit submit.

Error. It couldn't be sent.

I opened up another tab to check the listing, and found that at SOME point between when I started the application and when I finished it...

The job had closed. 🫠

It hadn't even been up for a week, which tells me that they probably had an internal hire in mind and I never had a chance to begin with...

so uh... yeah, still looking for work... lol...

If nothing else, at least my portfolio's updated now I guess. OTL

Huh, that must be the only Switch game I can think of off the top of my head that shares data between seperate accounts

There's probably more but all my usuals have completely seperate save files for seperate profiles; Miitopia comes to mind especially

Yeah it's the only one I encountered that does that, I was just as surprised to find out. DX I made a second profile to have multiple pokemon saves so I thought it'd work the same with animal crossing...

But nope lol

If you make another account on the same switch, save data isn't shared between accounts so you can start fresh without nuking your main save :3

Making another profile makes it you just live on the same island as your og save, but with less ability to customize since you arent the island rep

Its only one island per console, I'd have to get another switch if I wanted to make a new one and keep the old. XP

As of right now I am safe, yes! Deffo been having some close calls with smaller fires springing up nearby, and the four-ish days of white-knuckle stress and anxiety probably isn't doing me any favors, but I have stuff packed and ready to toss in my car if it comes to that...
