Ok so I think this pretty much confirms that Season 7 is going to be... big. That's the word I'm thinking of. This is a big season. There's probably a better word for this that's the hill I'm going out on.

Let's give a rundown of things shall we?

Season 7 was confirmed to be in development before Season 6 finished airing. Now this is normal. Most seasons are announced ahead of time. However, this season was confirmed alongside the confirmation of the movie. But pile this with later shit and this becomes a lot greater.

Koki's recasting was stated to be for Season 7 when the recast was in the S6 finale. I'm guessing that since this season is over, S7 will be the first season where Rock voices Koki in every episode. So we already know that Season 7 will have a significant change.

The Kratts themselves were very open to their fans about Season 7, replying in the comments that yes, they were making a new season.

On the WK accounts, they made 4 S7 posts.

The first was them joking about how we had to wait for it (WHICH IS TORTURE).

The 2nd was the anniversary video where they released an official soundtrack version of the main theme tune and they mentioned a 7th season with new Creature Adventures!

The 3rd is when this dude, (who reminds me of Exposition Guy from Wordgirl) told us that he knew something that we didn't. In that post, we saw a cover of the WK team, and underneath it, it said "Season 7" and on top it said "TOP SECRET".

And now we have this, where Spoiler Guy (I'm gonna call him spoiler guy until we know who this mf is) who describes Season 7 as "the best season ever."

Keep very well in mind that they confirmed the new season and have been building it up and letting us in on the fact that the hiatus might end someday. They didn't do that with the Season 6 hiatus, but are doing it here because again, it's in development and not finished yet (knowing that S7 isn't finished makes the hiatus a little less uncomfortable to sit through).

All in all, they are building up to something and teasing us. What is it, I don't know, how long we have to wait for it, I don't no. No one does. But this will NOT be your ordinary season of Wild Kratts. Something wild is coming.

Now many people have stated their predictions and hopes on the new season: Some may say it will have am overarching story like MLP or The Owl House. Others may say Jimmy gets a Creature Power Suit. Some hope for old Creature Powers like the Draco Power Suit to make a comeback.

Here's my prediction: Season 7 will be a prologue to the Wild Kratts movie. Think about it. Both the new season and the movie were confirmed on the same day and in the same article. Both are in development right now, yet we're getting info about only S7 and in bits and pieces, with The Movie, seemingly going unmentioned.

It is all intentionally set up. Season 7 will probably jump the shark for the show or introduce a major plot-point/serialized story that will all come to a head in The Movie.

Something similar occurred with Friendship is Magic. A series of comics were released as prequels to the film in order to provide backstory and set up later events of the film (there was also The Stormy Road to Canterlot but that book sucked ass). Ironically, FiM's movie took place after it's 7th season as well.

I predict that Season 7 is connected to the plot of the upcoming Wild Kratts movie, thus is taking more time to develop because the crew is working harder on it to make it as top tier as I could. Ergo, they're hyping this season up because it's a red herring for the movie..

We'll just wait and see. Hopefully when Season 7 comes out, we'll find out who dis motherfucker is.

Fruits Basket Season 2, Episode 12

I enjoyed this episode just as much as I thought I would. And I really like that it came after the Kagura/Kyo episode, because it’s really about something somewhat similar but also drastically different. Takaya-sensei, I see you. ;)

First, some things of note:

I think I had a full “oh, that’s why” moment with Hatori. He wasn’t exactly the most attractive to me for a long time, but I finally understood what the hype was about in this episode. He the man.

Does anyone know the name of the bitchy old woman? Cuz she was always my least favorite for always being mean to anyone who’s not Akito and I need to know if she has a name or if I can laugh at her nameless expense...

So anyway.

The best part about Takaya dedicating an entire chapter to Mayuko is that you don’t expect it. She was just the sarcastic teacher you liked but couldn’t tell why you liked. BUT THEN TAKAYA SAID, “LET THERE BE LIGHT,” and suddenly we had someone who mattered in some way to at least one member of the Sohma clan. But enough digressing about how side characters deserve their screentime (shoutout to the MLP: FIM episode that was ONLY about side characters).

Even though Shigure himself says that he’s perceptive and Mayuko took this as fact, I think it’s really important to point out just how perceptive he is. Sure, we could brush off some of the things he says and ignore them since they never seem to come to fruition, but... we can’t. In the very beginning of the series, Shigure mutters to Kagura (though she doesn’t hear), “I get jealous, too.” We don’t actually see him show us this until way later in the series, beyond the scope of the original anime. And though we don’t technically know it right now, that is precisely why he asks out Mayuko. The thing about Shigure is that he is incredibly selfish, though he passes it off very subtly as being narcissistic. But no, he’s a selfish bastard (that I love anyway) who has an endgame goal in mind that we can only dream of figuring out. (Unless, of course... we’ve read the manga. :P ) I think this just goes to show how amazing Takaya is at writing these characters and fleshing them out over time. You have to WAIT for answers such as these, and I am HERE for it. In any case, it’s just amazing how by looking at Mayuko he was able to determine her feelings for Hatori. She’s apathetic enough that I certainly wouldn’t be able to tell, and maybe that power, in Shigure’s hands, is terrifying. Who’s to say?

But Shigure isn’t the most important part of this episode. Mayuko is. Well, actually, Hatori arguably is, so let’s just say they both are. Though we can’t really tell at first, Mayuko and Hatori are very similar. Their cutting remarks to Shigure are always the best, and Kana affected their lives in similar ways. Mayuko says that Kana makes her feel like she can be kind, which Hatori agrees with. I don’t think Hatori is able to recognize his own kindness, because the manga, at least, consistently references how Hatori is one of the kindest Sohmas. I think Mayuko fell in love with that kindness, because other than the obvious hotness that is Hatori, why else would she care so much about his happiness? It’s hard not to fall in love with Hatori’s special brand of kindness, especially when paired with the two clowns he’s stuck babysitting all the time.

I have to really admire Mayuko for supporting Kana AND Hatori through the Akito debacle. She doesn’t know what’s going on, save for the memory suppression bit, but she wants them both to be happy. [Let’s not skip the fact that Mayuko cries for Kana, though her friend can’t possibly understand why her normally calm friend is doing so.] A part of her mourns the fact that they can’t be happy together anymore, and all these feelings come to a head when Hatori says “Happiness isn’t for me.”

No, Hatori. No. Shut up.

Dear Lord, thank you for Mayuko for SCREAMING while she cried. The manga didn’t get this across enough, I think, so it was interesting to see just HOW upset she was that this man she admired and loved for so long was so convinced he wasn’t allowed to be happy. And why is that? Because like the other Sohmas, Akito somehow has him convinced that he’s not allowed to love anyone, and ever since losing Kana, he’s begun to believe it himself. With Kana happy and married now, he thinks maybe such things aren’t meant to be for him.

Mayuko, bless her soul, says that is bullshit. Not in so few words, but yeah.

Interestingly enough, she has a bit of a breakthrough in this episode, though it’s significantly quieter than her sobbing fit with Hatori. She realizes that even though she’s been lonely, that’s no reason to date someone, and that’s precisely something that readers/viewers can learn from her. The episode is not truly about her, but about her relationship with Hatori and just one of many catalysts leading to the collective Sohma happiness. I guess we should be glad Shigure dated her in name only, because that means she gets to have all the fluffle with our boy Hatori.

I think my favorite part of the episode, as well as the chapter of the manga, is the indirect reveal of how Mayuko’s relationship with Hatori plays out. Fruits Basket is fantastic at indirectly telling you how things turn out, such as Mayuko saying it would take a while for Hatori to call her by her first name again - implying they see a lot more of each other. We’re nowhere near done with this anime, and this it the only purely incidental glimpse of the future we get, but I think it’s so fantastic that Takaya gave it to Hatori. Hatori, one of the first Sohmas we meet. Hatori, who has the constant support of his two clowns. Hatori, the one we all want to be happy BECAUSE DAMMIT, HE SHOULD BE.

The best part of this episode, I think, is when Kana encourages Mayuko to pursue Hatori. Of course, she doesn’t know what this could possibly mean for Mayuko - having her best friend tell her “go ahead, go after my ex” - but it is great nonetheless. Now, both Kana and Hatori can be happy, and with that comes the added bonus of our favorite teacher being happy!

Overall, I just love what this episode did for Hatori, as well as for Furuba’s victim of not-enough-screentime, Mayuko. I wish them all the best, even though I know very well how things turn out for them. ;)

You know what. You made a whole lot of points and i love those points. To be honest, in the MLP FIM i always hated about the villians taking over the kingdom and stuff. It really bothers me especially the wedding episode. But what you said about EG was fantastic. Rainbow Dash was always and still be my favorite character and i love her more in EG. Im just glad they are still coming up with more EG shorts or Episodes.

I never minded the villains taking over the Kingdom, but the thing that always gets my goat with MLP is how the villains will do these extremely horrible, irredeemable things, but get forgiven anyways.

At least in EG all of the villains do things that are ACTUALLY forgivable.

Sunset was just a school bully who never actually serious hurt anyone, and she even had to spend an ENTIRE MOVIE having everyone hate her and actually WORK for her redemption.

The reason people say Sunset’s redemption works, where every other villain in MLP doesn’t, is because she actually had to WORK for her redemption. Discord, and ESPECIALLY STARLIGHT, never had to work for it. They were all just instantly forgiven and given best friend status just because.

Twilight was forgiven because she forced into unleashing the magic against her will, and then as magic does in the human world, it made her go crazy and she was genuinely apologetic. We even see her spending the entire next movie beating herself up for letting things get that bad, even after everyone had forgiven herself. The whole movie was about learning to forgive yourself for the mistakes you’ve made to grow better.

Gloriosa only wanted to save her family’s legacy, the only thing she had left of her parents. The camp meant the world to her, it was her life, and so when she had the power to save it, she tried to shut it off from the world to not let it be destroyed. The madness of magic corrupted her thinking, but absolutely no one was hurt, and it was understandable, so it was easy to forgive her.

Juniper Montage was a brat who wanted things to go her way, but was ultimately just a neglected kid. When she saw that she was starting to go over the line, she got a reality check by seeing herself compared to people who had done worse, and decided to change her life for the better.

Wallflower Blush was blaming everyone else for her terrible life, and when given some power to change that, thought she was proving her point and showing why she was right. When she went too far and she realized that, she apologized for what she had done and wanted to do better. she was forgiven because she had never meant for things to go that far, she was just hyper sensitive and emotional, and she had been punished for her actions.

Vignette Valencia literally didn’t hurt a single person. People transported to the room could just walk out of it, and she put on a really cool holographic parade. Her entire problem was being a social outcast that had grown an ego, and when that didn’t bring her happiness she was shown what could.

And PostCrush ALSO thought they were literally hurting no one since they thought only they were effected by the time loop. They were worried about having their show be perfect, and Sunset just ended up accidentally being collateral damage. And when their perfect show was destroyed, they had a better show than they ever could have imagined because they accepted that mistakes will happen.

The reason MLP constantly redeeming villains didn’t work is because they were literally destroying the world and trying to kill people. They committed atrocities and war crimes and things that you DO NOT JUST FORGIVE.

Meanwhile, Equestria Girls was like “Oh, these are all just normal people who either have completely reasonable reasons for why they’re doing what they’re doing and aren’t intentionally harming people, or magic has pushed them to an extreme and even then they still didn’t hurt anyone”

So it always made far more sense to forgive the villains in Equestria Girls because the stakes were so much more significantly lower on a global scale, because they focused on the stakes being on a more PERSONAL scale. Which works so much better for a story about friendship and forgiveness.

Also yes, Rainbow Dash IS a lot better in Equestria Girls than she is in MLP, because in MLP she continued to let her ego and constant showboating get to her head, and it became a huge detriment to her character. Where-as in Equestria Girls, she still thinks of herself as awesome, but she’s a lot more selfless and willing to help out people in need. She’s the one who embraces being a superhero first and uses her powers both for personal fun and for genuinely saving people from their problems without being asked. She loves her friends and will do anything she can for them, and is just honestly so much more fun to watch.

I could literally ramble about everything Equestria Girls does right for hours, if not days, if you give me the chance. There’s literally so much I love about it, am so incredibly passionate about it, and I don’t know why other people don’t see the same level of love and dedication put into this show the way I do.

I get there’s a huge emotional attachment to MLP, because I was there too, but Equestria Girls is just. MMMM. It’s the GOOD food!

The name of the comic is Beyond our Borders, and is a more realistic, mature AU (Alternate Universe) of the original cartoon that is set in a universe my friend and I are working on together.  Keep in mind that the comic is not Canon, and is a completely alternate universe of the MLP;FiM lore. Some things are very different from the canon lore, and it WILL bend the rules a slight bit.

Equestria is highly unstable due to magic levels rapidly rising for unknown and uncontrollable reasons, making their land unstable and breaking apart. The excess magic is causing ponies to act out and lose control over themselves, turning against each other and causing massive tension between relationships. Other unknown “creatures” who have waited centuries for this to happen are waking up, and might cause even more havoc to an already unstable land, eventually tipping it over the edge if nothing is done. This comic will follow this story of how Equestria and beyond is rapidly deteriorating and what kind of events happen on the inside when this all goes down, and how the characters desperately try to figure out why it’s happening and how to fix it before the planet falls into hands it doesn’t belong to. The story follows the main protagonist, Featherfall. A lonesome earth-pony of the southern Hitchocki tribe, that has a taste for exploration beyond his tribes’ forbidden borders. Recently, a lot of tension has began rising with the influx of modern ponies colonizing their lands, forcing him and his tribe to hide and slowly get choked out. He begins going behind his Chiefs’ and tribes’ back to venture North towards the kingdom of Equestria, wanting to know what else is out there and why his tribe is so adamant on never letting one of their own venture to those lands; hopefully finding a way to make peace with the enemy from the north and prevent his family from extinction. But soon enough, what he finds up in the foreign lands was way further beyond the limits of his imagination and fears. His search for answers turns into a journey far beyond what he could’ve ever wished for, shifting his understanding of Equestria’s borders over the edge to the point of no return.

And every single time, the kingdom and it’s many neighboring empires has managed to stand up for themselves no matter the challenge that stands in their way. They have all the magic they need in order to sustain themselves from evil. And not a single drop goes to waste. But then there are times when magic can become a little bit too… overwhelming. The times when you’ll need more than the magic of Friendship to come save you. The times when the very land you’re standing on is turning against you. The times when the ponies you trust most are turning against you. The times when you turn on yourself. The times when you realize there’s more beyond the borders you thought you knew. Way more than even the most powerful of alicorns can comprehend. It’s there, kid. Waiting for you to come say hello. Waiting for you to slip up. And once you do, well… then it’s your turn to wait. I’ve been doing it for a thousand years and then some. it gets boring after a while. So I won’t keep you waiting for long like I’ve done with that old friend of mine. I’ll take good care of you. Forever.
