Style Eid Outfits with the Perfect Pair of Shoes
How to Style Your Eid Outfit with the Perfect Pair of Shoes
Eid is an ideal opportunity to flaunt your stylish Eid attire, but no ensemble is complete without the perfect pair of shoes. Regardless of whether you're donning a flowing Anarkali, an elegant saree, or a trendy abaya, your choice of footwear should complement and enhance the overall appeal of your attire. Here's a brief guide to assist you in selecting the ideal Eid shoes to complement your dress.
1. Anarkali suit – strappy heels or embellished sandals.
A classic Anarkali dress has a regal, flowy appeal, making it perfect for strappy heels or stone-embellished sandals. These add height and elegance, balancing the flared silhouette beautifully.
2. Saree – Block Heels or Traditional Kolhapuris
When choosing a traditional Eid saree, it is recommended to select block heels for both comfort and elegance. If you're aiming for a fusion style, kolhapuri sandals or embroidered mojris can infuse cultural elements while maintaining a fashionable appearance.
3. Sharara Suit – Wedge Heels or Juttis
The Sharara suit is a versatile fashion choice, offering options for both wedge heels and juttis. A sharara outfit is elegant and full of volume, so combining it with wedge heels provides the perfect amount of height without causing any discomfort. If you prefer flats, consider opting for embroidered juttis to uphold the festive atmosphere.
4. Abaya – Chic Mules or Stylish Sneakers
For a modern Eid abaya look, mules with subtle embellishments add sophistication. If you want a casual yet stylish touch, white sneakers can make your outfit look trendy and effortless.
5. Palazzo Suit – Peep-Toe Heels or Mojaris
Palazzo suits are loose and sophisticated, making them a perfect choice to pair with peep-toe heels. If you're seeking a classic aesthetic, embroidered mojarras can enhance the overall appearance splendidly.
Final Tips for the Best Eid Footwear:
Choose comfortable Eid shoes if you'll be attending long gatherings.
Make sure your shoes complement your outfit’s color, embroidery, or embellishments.
If your dress is heavily embroidered, go for minimalist footwear to balance the look.
No matter what you wear, the right pair of Eid shoes will elevate your outfit and boost your confidence. Which footwear style is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!

Music Makes Me Smile
If I were to gush on and on or hype aloud over the music I love as much as I did, say, the video game Skyrim, or the TV show Arrow, or the book Carmilla - all things I adore with extreme passion - there would not be enough hours in the day for literally anything else.
Like, being real for a second, I FUCKING LOVE music more than I can say. I'm going to try, but it'll be insufficient.
When I die, the only real regret that I will have - and if we're being honest, it will be more an indignant rage than a regret - is that one life was not nearly long enough to even scratch the surface of how much fucking amazing music there is in this world now, through history, and no doubt forward into the future.
If YouTube comments and discussions with old people is any indication, everybody thinks the music of their youth was the best music ever. Everyone thinks they grew up in the best decade for music. And you know what? You're right. But you're also wrong. Because EVERY DECADE is the best decade for music. And do you know how I know this decade, right now, for all its other bullshit it wants to lay on us, is a better decade for music than, for example, the 1970s?
Because I can listen to the music of the 1970s AND all the incredible music since then that has been as good and better.
This is kind of a shift but stick with me: in Tolkein's fictional mythology, the god and angels of Middle Earth, Eru Illuvitar and the Ainur, brought creationg into existence through music. All that is was sung into being. FUCK. That resonates with me on just the most primal and spiritual level (which is ironic because church music is one of the few types of music that evoke absolutely zero feeling in me) because music - both its creation and its hearing - is nothing short of a divine experience.
Anyway. Tonight we're listening to Tracy Chapman, a musician SO FUCKING GOOD LIKE HOW IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE that it's actually so hard for me to do anything else while I'm listening to her. Her music is utterly rapturous. She is enthralling.
#music#positivity#hype#tolkein was a real one#tracy chapman#divinity#I'm willing to believe God really did sing creation into being#it's the only explanation#things that make me happy#feels#music makes me smile
