Woodland mansions and median age

Okay, after a rather quick history lesson on the middle ages I have realized that the woodlands mansion makes no sense and I will try to explain my point.

The era that Minecraft is based on (as most know) is set in the middle ages, so I'll take that as a reference to prove my point.

Okey, in real life the middle ages had 2 stages, the high middle ages and the low middle ages. I suspect (personally) that Minecraft is inspired by the lower middle ages. In that context the villagers' houses make sense how they are built and their materials, something that doesn't happen very well with Illagers.

Although, the lower middle ages are known for the ornamentality and grandeur of the important buildings (cathedrals), this was due to the fact that Carlo Magno was taking away some power from the church and making the kings have more power, trade increased and consequently the population too. And although the main materials were wood and stone as I mentioned before, it was because they already had a certain stability.

What is the problem? Illagers don't have that stability that villagers apparently do. A mansion made of mainly wood is not very resistant to attacks, if a hero comes with a lighter or even a burning zombie could finish off the illagers extremely quickly and easily, the worst thing is that they don't even have walls to protect themselves, this takes me to the upper middle ages.

In the upper middle ages everything was chaos, with the recent fall of the Roman empire everything became a mess, getting to the point where people couldn't even have a settled house for fear of constant invasions. Because of this the churches were very different (example photo below)

These buildings were intended to provide some protection, not only spiritual but also physical, there are almost no windows, besides the population was mostly illiterate, only people belonging to the clergy could read and write (remind anyone of that?)

Anyway my point is, the illagers live in ignorance and need to have a safe place (at least during Minecraft dungeons). So even though it is not explicitly stated in the novel, it can be deduced by logic that the heroes could come and set the mansion on fire, and in general it is a very unresistant structure to attacks. In my opinion, I think it would be better if the mansion was made mostly of stone and less of wood, and decreasing the number of windows would help a lot to the second of the building. But as the illagers are quite a lot I think that a structure similar to the old castles that were created during almost the end of that stage would suit them much better (examples below)

So, in my lore for Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons not only is the Orb a former Host trapped in a temporary prison it can also mess with its proxies DNA making them part End-Creature over time. If they were to reproduce their offspring would be known as "Void Borne Children" with higher magic levels, darker fur in certain areas (mainly arms, legs, and face), and eyes that glow/reflect purple in certain lightings. Of course as generations pass on, these features begin to become less and less common until they eventually are just completely out of the gene pool. (Maybe)
