Idk if I’ve mentioned this before, but I find it interesting that Jekyll said “death or disappearance”. In his like,, personal confession he says he’s considered becoming Edward Hyde permanently but because he had people like utterson,, and even so because the confession was made for utterson, he decided not to (maybe to not hurt his feelings). Maybe he could have almost been at a point of doing it because plans we’re definitely made for becoming him permanently.

Outsiders Hollywood AU where Soda gets scouted for his movie star looks but Darry’s like “hell naw ain’t no way you’re going to perversion city by yourself.” Soda eventually wins him over by showing him that a single paycheck is like. Six months of roofing wages. But Darry’s still skeptical they’re gonna try and coerce his little brother into making p*rn or something, so he’s like… if you’re going, we’re ALL going.

And that’s how the Curtis bros end up in California, Soda becomes a movie star, Ponyboy discovers his true passion for scriptwriting, and Darry, through sheer suspicious nature and overprotectiveness, accidentally discovers a creepy producer on set and beats the tar out of him

I want. Four to get appreciation. Because

Four gave a ton of unnoticed help when Twilight was injured

The fight with Wild was difficult, and I know we're all concerned about his negative view of the shadow crystal

But Four did something that no one else really thought of to help- He took care of Twi's stuff

From the beginning he told Twilight to not worry about them

So Four took care of pretty much everything but the others (that Sky and Wars handled)

He took care of Epona

Which is so very important- he took care of Twilight's horse. After her arrival at the stable Four followed up on her

And for Epona, a horse so attached to her human, having some company can help so much for reassurance

He took care of Twilight's stuff

He got Twi's shield- his bags and equipment, and organized it into one place

And he was worried. He obviously found the shadow crystal while handling Twi's stuff, but his negative reactions to it were out of concern.

Also- because of his placement in this scene

I'm fairly convinced Four was ready to start cooking before Wild showed up (since he's beside the counter with food supplies). At the very least he had the basket of fruit out for everyone -but he was literally standing with food behind him- he thought of everything

And he did housekeeping!

Wars payed for the inn, so Four took care of the inn

Realistically these boys were probably not too concerned with tidyness. Four got all of Twi's things on one table, and took care of the room they stayed in

Organizing tables and Twi's things, having food supplies ready, and opening the curtains- overall he was the one tidying up the inn

Four helped in a huge way! He took care of Twi's horse (Epona is so important), his equipment and shield and bag, as well as the other rooms in the inn

Four filled in all the little tasks that others didn't think of. He helped in ways that were needed, but not obvious

There's a lot of problems with the shadow crystal and with Wild, and I don't know what's gonna happen in the future

But don't forget this- don't forget that Four was one who stepped up in an almost unnoticeable way

Don't forget that when everyone was barely holding it together, Four visited Twilight's horse and took care of his things

No matter what develops in the future- this amount of care shown is important ya know?

Jack decides he needs a bit of time away from family to mourn the loss of his one sided friendship with Vlad and Vlad's death. So he takes a trip to Gotham. On this trip, he runs into Damian and Tim, who are convinced he's Captain Marvel in disguise.

Meanwhile, Jason's also run into Jack as he's coming into his ghost powers. Jason starts freaking out because someone just saw him when his new powers started glitching. Panicking only worsens the situation as now he can't figure out how to get his foot un-caught in the cement.

Jack, despite not knowing if this kid is a halfa or not, decides to give him advice based on how Danny told him his powers work. It works.

Now, Jason has a sort-of mentor that he didn't ask for but definitely needs, and Jack has something to do while he sorts out his feelings on the whole Vlad-was-never-his-friend thing.

Eventually, Damian and Tim catch them while Jack is trying to explain how Jason might have a second form. While Jack explains, Jason just transforms. His ghost form isn't what either expected. Jack was expecting something similar to Danny's or Vlad's. Not a winged little kid with a mask.

To be honest, this just solidifies that this guy is Captain Marvel for Damian and Tim. Obviously he decided to teach Jason magic.

vox & alastor: upgrades

thinking about vox upgrading over the years and losing a piece of himself each time. alastor coming to resent modern technology because a step forward for the world means a step further away from vox.

thinking about how alastor didn't mind the changes at first, when they were few and far between-- nothing more than a haircut. people get those all the time. underneath the sleeker shine of glass, vox is still the same man, until he isn't. with every upgrade, every soulless performance he puts on, he becomes a little less recognizable.

thinking about vox using upgrades as a coping mechanism. a knee-jerk response he runs to the minute he feels he's slipping, losing control of his life. it's an opportunity to be reborn, to put on a new mask, to be better and more powerful-- and isn't that what alastor was all about? power and control? well look at him now, leveling up and controlling his own (literal) presentation. how many sinners could say they have that luxury, when they are all so bound to their forms? and when they fight? clash in ways that pull at his emotions? emotions he can't hide because his system is just clearly too archaic to do so? new head. new man. he's so over it.

thinking about how, when alastor disappears, vox doesn't touch his display. no matter how much val or vel pesters him about it, no matter how scuffed up it gets, he doesn't upgrade. on the off chance that one day alastor will come back. if he changed again, would alastor even recognize him anymore?

he wants to keep some semblance of their relationship intact. he has nothing but a photograph that's long been torn apart-- nothing save for the head on his shoulders, the screen alastor had nearly broken in two the last time they saw each other. once he replaces it, it's over. there will be nothing left to show they were ever anything.

vel tries to convince him otherwise; it's like changing your hair after a bad breakup, she says. not a big deal.

and what if? after seven long years, vox finally moves on. reborn again, shedding any and all memory of his past, he changes, and grows into it. and then alastor comes back. and somehow, beneath the blue tinted display and the new features, alastor recognizes him, calls him out by name in their little spat over the airwaves, and that's really all that matters.

I may have many issues with Countdown but I can appreciate it for a few things and that includes Jason meeting murder Batman* (Earth-51 Batman)

I mean to start Jason clearly doesn't agree with the guy. He's very not into the whole "let's kill all these guys" attitude and thinks murder batman is crazy (and outright says so) But also. He puts on the suit he's given that this Batman made, he's fights with him. He mourns him. He's upset with the death. After Batman failed him on his own earth he meets one that accepts him

And augh. They haunt me. Aughh I wish I could write I wanna write and get to see a fic about them so so bad

Because like! The way murder batman was SO quick to start seeing Jason as his own dead Jason and start referring to him as such.

The way murder batman never got to know about Jason's Red Hooding but AUGH. Can you just IMAGINE the moral dilemma he'd have with that??! He probably would've killed a crime lord Jason before ever learning his identity, or learning it too late. Aughhhaoujgh

They had to kill off murderbatman he wouldve been too powerful otherwise. For example I think he wouldve Not been willing to let go of this living Jason

Multiverse kidnapping story where after meeting and then leaving, murder bat finds our Jason amd just. Fucking takes him and pretends it's his Jason. Augh that'd be so fun

Guys, I’ve read the Wild Robot

And let me tell you, if I hadn’t recently taken a Children’s Literature class in college, I would’ve said this was the best middle-grade book I’ve read since elementary/middle school. I almost read this book in one night (I was sleepy 😴) like I couldn’t put it down.

The heart behind this book is astounding and it never shies away from showing complex and difficult concepts. You will fall in love with Roz and her gosling son along with all of the other animal on the island.

If you’ve got younger ones, I highly recommend reading this to them or having a little book club moment with them. However, be prepared for whatever hard questions may come your way (i.e. circle of life and climate issues). You know your child and how much they can handle/understand. If you’re like me and much older, it’s a quick read and a great way to finish off a long day. It’s a part of a trilogy and you bet I’m patiently waiting for my hold on a copy at the library.

If the movie is anything like the book (which, given a rewatch of the trailer, it’s looking like so), we are in for a special treat.
