Proud to say that even though I went A Little Bit Insane during the run of Les Miserables at my job (very normal and understandable for working 50 hours of the same show) I am STILL abnormal about Javert. He whips the mayor of the town/longtime homosexual rival with a chain. He sings about seeing that man arrested in a song heavy with religious allusion. The towns most rebellious child keeps trying to be friends with him. Man ISN'T killed by his gay rival and that's his literal final straw. Everyone at my job agrees he has no sex. My boss describes him as needing a Xanax and a nap. He is a priest. He is a wet dog. He is a bottom. He is a top. He follows rules so strictly he can't survive anything that tears apart his worldview. He is everything to me and also me. He's on my mind 25/7. Yes I added an extra hour to the day just to think about him. I desperately need to buy and read the book.
