TYSM!! 🩵💙 she is! at least she has similar dna, i hc that the pnks are part of the same general species but all have different genetics and went through some drastic changes to look exactly like each other. this is something hinted at in the mu essential guide, which when i read about as a kid, i made it a part of lia's story!

the guide really emphasized to me just how cold and merciless the pnks really are, and along with them having different surnames so they probably aren't like identical sextuplets, and the multiple mentions of their ruthlessness, i don't have a hard time believing that they have gone to the extent of undergoing some serious reconstruction just to achieve the exact same look. this fact is something i included in lia's lore as a kid and still kept today! i'm not gonna lay it all out rn, but i'll say this, she wasn't only associated with the pnks species wise...

thought of this too, like it must be so much harder since you have to come up with new material all the time, but there's always going to be new kids and new jokes and humor, plus some young kids laugh at literally anything like peekaboo and tickles and stuff. and since laughter is 10x more powerful than maybe they won't run into that problem or at least shouldn't for a while? (hopefully)

maybe they'll have to switch back to scream, if kids are expecting a funny monster then they'll be caught more off guard by a scary one so scaring will become more effective LOL jkjk

it's kinda sad to think about if they still have dead doors, like once a kid has reached a certain age they're too grown up to laugh at their jokes :( i wonder if they grow up thinking that the monsters were just imaginary friends

off topic but imagine monsters having to reference brainrot and memes to keep up and entertain kids of newer generations

Interesting reason to draw monsters that I hadn't drawn seriously before (I know that the point of this meme is a little different but i wanted to try something unusual). The variety of designs for different characters that reflect their personality is one of the things I like about this franchise.

Speaking of World Building…

I feel like the concept of Banishment in the Monster World is very undercooked and could use some more exploration

In MI, Mike even mentions Bigfoot and The Lochness Monster as those who were banished but no further insight on that

Randall and The Abominable Snowman also were banished but these instances are short lived in the formers case and not really dwelled on in the latters case

Also more importantly, what’s the point in banishment if the Monster World has a jail system?

Like what exactly are the qualifications of Banishment?

i remember that a supercarlinbrothers video mentioned that monsters university was founded in the 1300s

and what else happened in the 1300s?

it would make sense as to why the cda dresses like that and acts the way they do, they're trying to prevent another pandemic

if you wanna go the pixar theory route and believe that the doors lead to time travelling portals, this belief could have been started so that monsters don't alter the timeline, which is why they're so scared to touch anything, even a little white sock. it could cause a butterfly effect that could change life as they know it and could potentially even lead to them not existing

Does anyone ever wonder HOW exactly the Monster's thought Humans were toxic in the first place?

My personal headcanon is that during a scare session, one of the kids were sick and a Monster caught the virus from said kid, and it led to a Pandemic in the Monster World thus leading the Monsters to believe children were deadly
