Discovering TF2 made me appreciate old characters more.
(And when I say old characters, I mean like ACTUALLY OLD, not a 500 years old that looks like loli from Genshin.)
So honestly, I love it. Thank you TF2 :D

I wrote a piece for Aegnor and Andreth so if you don't mind I'll just leave it here:
Aegnor stood on the ridge, his golden hair shimmering like molten light, his sharp gaze scanning the horizon. The air was crisp and cold, the bite of the northern wind a reminder of the encroaching shadow. He could sense it—the faint tremor in the earth, the distant hum of the enemy's malice that seemed ever closer, ever relentless.
But his thoughts were elsewhere.
He turned his head, golden eyes softening as they fell upon Andreth, standing a few paces away. She had wrapped herself in a thick woolen cloak, the deep green of the fabric blending with the forest around them. The morning light touched her dark hair, and Aegnor felt a pang in his chest, as sharp and familiar as the edge of his blade.
"Andreth," he called softly, his voice cutting through the quiet. She turned to him, her grey eyes—like the storm-laden skies over the plains of Estolad—meeting his. There was something eternal in that gaze, though he knew, bitterly, that it was fleeting.
"You are restless this morning," she said, her voice calm, though it carried the weight of unspoken concern.
Aegnor walked to her, his strides quick yet graceful, the gait of an Elf who had seen many dawns and would see many more. "The restlessness is not mine alone," he replied, his lips curving into a faint, almost wistful smile. "The earth trembles, Andreth. It feels the weight of Morgoth's malice."
She frowned, her hand tightening on the edge of her cloak. "And yet you stand here, looking not to the east, but at me."
He hesitated. For all his centuries of wisdom, for all the fire in his veins, he could never find the right words to answer her when she spoke like this. Aegnor, the Morning Flame, a prince of the House of Finrod, feared nothing save the vulnerability she laid bare within him.
"You are a part of this land now," he said at last. "Its struggles are yours, as much as they are mine."
Andreth tilted her head, her expression softening, though it did little to hide the sorrow that lingered beneath. "You speak as if I am bound to the earth, as you are bound to the stars. But we both know the truth, Aegnor. My years are numbered. Yours are not."
Aegnor flinched, as if struck. He looked away, the fire in his eyes dimming. "It is because of that truth that I stand here," he said quietly. "Because I know... what will come."
For a moment, neither spoke. The wind rustled through the trees, carrying with it the faint scent of pine and frost. The silence between them was heavy, filled with all the things they could not say, all the things they wished they could.
"I have asked you before, and I ask you now," Andreth said, stepping closer. "Why do you deny us what little time we might have?"
Her words were a knife, sharp and unyielding. Aegnor clenched his fists, his golden gauntlets gleaming in the morning light. "Because it is cruel," he said, his voice trembling with suppressed emotion. "To love you as I do, knowing that I would see you fade, that I would see your light extinguished while mine endures. I would not wish that pain upon you—or upon myself."
"And yet," she said, her voice rising, "to deny it is its own cruelty. You speak of pain as if it can be avoided, Aegnor. But pain is the price of love, whether it is brief or eternal. Would you have me die without ever knowing it fully, simply because you fear the loss?"
Her words struck deep, and for a moment, Aegnor could not breathe. He turned to her, his eyes blazing. "You think I do not wish it?" he said, his voice rising like a tide. "You think I do not dream of a life where I could be free to love you, to walk beside you without the shadow of fate between us? But that life is not ours to live, Andreth. I am bound by my duty to my kin, to this war. And you—you are mortal. Your years would slip through my fingers like grains of sand, and I—" He broke off, his voice faltering. "I could not bear it."
Andreth stepped closer, her grey eyes fierce, unyielding. "And so you would bear the weight of your own loneliness instead? You would let fear and duty rob you of what little joy remains in this world? Is that the wisdom of the Eldar?"
Aegnor stared at her, his chest heaving. She was mortal, and yet her spirit burned as brightly as any flame in his heart. He wanted to speak, to answer her, but the words would not come. For all his strength, he was powerless against the truth she laid before him.
The silence stretched between them until Andreth spoke again, her voice softer now, filled with a quiet despair. "You have the power to choose, Aegnor. To take the risk, to defy fate, if only for a moment. But you will not. And so I will love you, even as you deny me. And I will mourn you, even as you stand before me, alive and unbroken."
Aegnor closed his eyes, his hands trembling. "Andreth," he whispered, her name a plea, a prayer.
She reached out, her hand brushing his cheek. He leaned into her touch, his heart breaking beneath the weight of his own choices. For a moment, they stood together, the Elf and the mortal, their hearts beating as one. And in that moment, the world seemed to hold its breath.
But the moment passed, as all moments must.
Aegnor stepped back, his gaze shadowed, his voice hollow. "I will fight for this world, for your people, for everything that is good and beautiful. But I cannot fight for us, Andreth. I am not strong enough."
Tears filled her eyes, but she did not let them fall. She nodded, her lips trembling. "Then go, Aegnor. Do what you must. But know this: love is not a weakness. It is a strength. And though you may not claim it, it will live on in me."
He stared at her for a long moment, his heart breaking in ways he could not comprehend. Then he turned, his golden cloak catching the light as he walked away, his footsteps silent upon the earth.
Andreth watched him go, her heart aching with a pain she could not name. She stood there until the morning sun rose higher, until the shadows lengthened and the wind carried his scent away.
In her heart, she carried the fire of the Morning Flame. And though it would burn her, she cherished it all the same.

“ Few days after her encounter with Finrod, Andreth awaited for her beloved in the wintry forest. Old as she was, the heat of her love for the elf still burned in her breast, and it could be said this whim of her youth kept her from the cold grasp of death. Aegnor hastened to find his lady, now burdened with age. Bound to eternity, he would not age as she. But this did not mean doom could not reach him either. They held each other at last, in the concealed woods. If it would be for one last time, then be it. Their love would burn for eternity.”
