My Fitness GOAL for Next Year
2022 is almost in the rear view mirror and right now is the perfect time to reflect on what went well this year—and what you want to focus on more next year! My 30-Day Challenge is back, better than ever, and my goal for next year is to join LSF 30 with you!
If working out more effectively or consistently is anywhere on your list, then the LSF 30 is the perfect way…
Periodic reminder from your friendly neighbourhood gymbro: The work you put in will come back. If you modify your workouts, the reward will still come to you.
So do knee pushups (no, we're not calling them "girl pushups"). Do weight machines. Put the resistance or weight low on machines.
The reward of fitness still benefits you because fitness is not a punishment. It should never be used or seen as a punishment for existing. Fitness is just... part of existence for many of us. However your fitness looks is fine. Don't let the broader fitness culture tell you that you need to do things their way. You'll be fine with what you're doing. If you stop needing modifications as you start doing more intense workouts, great! But if you never stop using modifications, then that's fine because fitness isn't a punishment or admittance of failure.
I want to work out with a friend while I have a full bladder. It starts out well enough, but as the session gets more intense, I start to squirm, and my friend can see me struggling to do sit-ups. They were the one making sure I got enough water, they know what the problem is, and they take this opportunity to tease me relentlessly. They sit at my feet and open my knees. I don't complain, just keep pushing on. My bladder burns and cramps, but feels so fucking good, and my cock is hard in my leggings.
"This is the problem," they smirk, and press down hard on my bladder bulge. A spurt comes out and I close my legs quickly, then carefully push myself to my feet. They don't mind, because now it's time for squats. I struggle with those, too, and they come up behind me under the guide of "helping me with my form". They rest their hands on my hips and guide me down into a low, deep squat.
"Pulse squats," they order when I try to stand up again.
I do as I'm told, not wanting to ruin my workout. But it's too much, and tiny leaks start spurting out. Their hand comes around and grabs my bulge hard. It makes me clench, which stops the stream, and I fall to my knees, squeezing my legs together. It's all I can do not to piss myself entirely.
My friend only watches me patiently. They have the entire rest of the workout to torture me exactly how they know I like it.
Gymrat in Gaza is the daily vlog of Mohd, a young Palestenian man who has been trying to work out as much as he can while displaced. He, like others in Gaza, have been displaced multiple times during this war. In his day 56 video, he shows how he collects water for his family, a 5 hour process. He explores the city looking for workout equipment and spends time with his family.
Mohd is on Instagram @ gymrat_in_gaza. He does not have a Go Fund Me, but he does have a campaign on Back a Buddy which is a similar platform. He is raising money to help his family evacuate.
Available Go Fund Me campaigns for people whose stories have been shared on watermelllonarchive can be found in the resources post.
If you don't mind me asking, why did you start waking up at 3:30 am? Assuming it's a choice you started making at some point lol
oh yeah, wasn't on accident for sure (am not originally a morning person, I'm "fake it till u make it"-ing that one). Started to wake up at 4am like 2 years ago, bc started going to the gym and that's the only time I can actually get myself to go (I hate working out around ppl, and I usually get to finish almost the entire workout without anyone else there). It's been on-off since, but I like the feeling of having been up for hours and it still technically being the morning. Plus it does wonders for the anxiety bc there's always "still bunch of time left in the day" (even tho that's not true bc gotta go to sleep earlier but somehow it still feels like it)
Recently tho started the 3:30am instead of 4am, bc there's now someone at the gym, who gets there early also, reserves the smith machine/free weights spot, and they just put down a yoga mat and do abs in front of it for like 20 mins and like hey ?? sure it's not against any rules, you can do that there, but there's also a separate area for things like that legit meters away. and SURE I could ask if it's alright I use the smith for couple sets but I'm not going to; I'd rather wake up 30mins earlier out of spite and to avoid talking to strangers. (In the "women only" side of the gym the smith machine/free weight area is small & only fits one person (at least in my country's culture of "always keep 2m distance to strangers" ) and there are ppl in the general side of the gym no matter what time, so i'm not going there either)
2,000-pound bombs creating a vacuum of silence: Multiple Israeli airstrikes on 20 tents, where a vulnerable displaced population sheltered in the 'humanitarian safe zone' of al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, resulted in more than 40 martyrs, over 60 injured, and 15+ missing, along with a 10-meter deep crater. Where is the global outrage? The world's silence is complicity in this massacre, which targeted innocent civilians seeking refuge in what was designated as a “safe zone.”
We are launching an urgent fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $50,000 to face the difficult conditions we are living in Gaza. Due to the current situation, food items have become unbearably expensive, and we are unable to meet our daily needs. Winter is approaching, and our home has been partially destroyed, leaving us with no place to seek shelter from the rain. Therefore, we aim to temporarily repair the house to protect our family.
My son, Hamoud, who is 17 months old, has grown up amidst the horrors of war and destruction. We live every day in fear and anxiety for his safety and ours. My husband, Ayman, who worked as a fisherman, lost his livelihood when his boat was destroyed in one of the attacks. We are not the only ones suffering; many martyrs and wounded are in our family and among our friends, and the pain grows day by day.
Yet, we cling to hope. After the Rafah crossing opens, we aim to evacuate and seek safety away from this ongoing danger. But we need your support during this critical time. We have no income now after losing our jobs, and we are struggling to secure our basic needs.
Every donation can make a big difference in our lives and the lives of those around us. This is not just a fundraising campaign; it is an opportunity to show solidarity and humanity in the face of suffering. We need your help to be able to stand again and continue with our lives.
Donate now and help us overcome this harsh ordeal🥹🫂🙏
have developed a fascination with the idea of using abilities/spells for mundane things in every day life, especially when they would be overkill. like in the one fic I wrote where a smn summons his ifrit egi to boil water for tea (does not go well) and one I haven't posted yet where someone uses arms length to block a doorway
there's just so much potential here
high jump for taking multiple loads of groceries up the stairs
carbuncle night light
shukuchi for when you're too lazy to walk across the living room
chain saw to open boxes
foot graze to escape from people trying to hit on you or sell you shit
garuda to help you dust (results may vary)
aetherpact so you don't lose someone in a crowd
leg graze to beat someone to the last doughnut
the endless comedic uses of rescue
bahamut as a coat rack
cast sleep on those people being loud outside late at night
meteor for fishing
stub your toe? benediction is the obvious proportional response
