I just saw the most amazing gifset of that moment in momento mori where chapel tells una "it's like giving birth through your mouth" (edit : it was @startrekuniverse who made the dope gif set, I love you btw)

Una and Christine are the MOST UNDERRATED dynamic. Genuinely I need to see them interact more. I've said before I don't think that T'pring is Christine's character mirror foil or whatever bc she isn't really. Una is the opposite of Christine.

Una is so put together. She is the literal poster person of first officers. She is always put together and just radiates dignity. (Somehow she gives like. Teacher vibes but I can't see her teaching a specific subject?? Maybe she just authority-s so hard I'm getting confused idk) She has been trying to be the picture perfect officer for years. She said it her self, she worries how people would see her (as an illiyern(fuck spelling I'm tired)) if she wasn't Ms. "She's beauty she's grace she's gonna punch you in the face" Because she hasn't ever had the chance to exist in starfleet without that threat of being discovered, she holds her self to this impossible standard that she some how achieves. Outside of that, she is a silly little workaholic who loves her job a little too much at times. (I mean. Tbf it's STARFLEET I'd also love it)

Compare that polished, put together-Ness of a first officer to someone who didn't even technically join starfleet, Chrsitine is part of an exchange program. (I'm only considering snw, sorry) Christine is bouncy and open as soon as we meet her, she sasses back at La'an and jokingly flirts with spock. She has the worst bedside manner and loves to chase people down hallways. Her reaction to Una bring Illiriyan was basically "I'm not a cop, I'm cool with it" She radiates weird girl in the best way possible. We see her be messy in relationships and goof off here and there. (Can you tell I hyperfixate on her all the time?) Uhura is "unburdened by conversational boundaries" and will say things on accident, Christine will say the weird thing and she will say it with her chest.

Christine is so unabashedly herself while Una is always on duty as the first officer, so professional. Una ties a lot of herself to her job and Christine loves science to the point she will chase it to other planets, she isn't tied to the ship.

There is so much space for tension and conflict between them. I can see Christine making a joke during a hard time and Una snaps. Maybe Una makes a tough call command wise that Christine disagrees with because they could've done something, the head vs the heart. They would also make an excellent team, Una with her tactical experience while Christine has science and leaps of faith.

You know those videos where the magnets are on a track and they collide really hard and the thing in the middle gets fucked up? That's what I want with them. I know im seeing the shrimp dynamics but I swear something there is worth exploring I SWEAR

A while back someone on r/fanfiction gave the prompt "love, hugs, inside jokes, and incredible violence" and I thought that worked really well for c!Borealtrio, so I wrote this little thing (now edited up just a little bit for posting here :)

Ranboo POV, Peer Pressure Duo, Emerald Duo, Relationship Analysis (?)

Over the month or so that Ranboo had known Technoblade and Philza, they had begun to notice a few things about the two's friendship. Of course, the first thing they'd noticed was how incredibly devoted and loyal the two were were to each other; that had been obvious even back when Ranboo had was being dragged along by Quackity and the rest of the L'Manburg cabinet to hunt Techno down and try execute him in front of Phil. The two blatantly cared about each other a lot.

The next thing Ranboo had realized more recently, something that had surprised them at first but seemed as natural as anything else now, was how physically affectionate the two were. It wasn't uncommon in the least to find the pair curled up on the couch together, especially when Techno was preening Phil's wings for him, or when Phil was braiding Techno's hair. Ranboo was pretty sure they had even walked in on Phil napping beside Techno during his hibernation once, though they weren't fully convinced they hadn't imagined it given how unreliable their memory was and how they had refused to write it down.

Another thing Ranboo noticed was that the two had developed way too many in-jokes for him to keep up with. Of course he understood the "Technoblade never dies!" catchphrase, but anything deeper than that went over their head. Like, sure, a baby zombie is a pain to deal with, but they were still confused by how over exaggerated Techno's reaction was every time one got within ten feet of Phil, and at this point they were scared to ask for an explanation.

And finally, perhaps one of the more immediately relevant things Ranboo had noticed, was how especially Technoblade used wrath and violence as possibly one of the greatest signs of care. That's what Doomsday was when it came down to it; the two taking revenge on L'Manburg for what it had done to themselves and each other. That was why no one ever dared trying to hurt either of them any more, they were terrified of seeing their home destroyed once more — or worse.

... So what did it mean then, when Bad commented that Techno didn't like people, and Techno had butted in to say that he liked Ranboo? When, after Ranboo was injured during Bad's ambush, Techno had all but carried them home? He'd teased Ranboo about how for once, he got to be the main character instead of them... And now, just a couple months later, Techno had gone out and come back to report how he'd teamed up with Quackity, Quackity, to take down Bad's so-called Eggpire. What was that all supposed to mean?

Kind of deserved to not get what was desired for a downfall when it's canonically told to leave Lila alone don't obsess over her and literally being less than 2 weeks of school and yet unable to take an L or let go. Literally Rossi's after Monarch & the butterfly miraculous at the end of Revelation. Oh oops fandom obsession right.... Hmm fanfic spammery of seeking Lila's downfall. Or wanting her downfall in general cause nothing else to do. Aww the obsession that makes people rot. Too bad the rotting isn't temporary like Monarch or Gabi Grassette.

Actually very deserved to nope that downfall after that desperate attempt. After causing another Reflekta incident. And so Mr Damocles almost got akumatized. Hah bad plan brought two akumas that day. So as Lila dips, he ended up having to dip. VICTORY Right Funny L though. Epic desperation attempt though. Pure sigma to put everyone's future's in danger and more than just you on Lila's list.

so i was talking about top gun with my mom

who’s been a huge fan ever since before i was born, and i was gushing about the fighter jet’s and how cool they are and a bunch of other curiosities i’ve learned about them, either from podcasts or from yt videos etc etc and she was like

“oh so you’d want to fly one sometime?”

and i was like “well yea obviously, if i was crazy rich. bc tHEY ARE SO COOL isn’t that like everyone’s dream once they watch the movie?”

and she just stared at me, raised one eyebrow and shook her head. and i’m like what do you mean your first automatic response to that movie isn’t I WANNA FLY JETS, PLANES MAKE THE BRAIN GO BRRRR ???????

and she just shrugged and said “yeah no i just really like tom cruise. oh, and the storyline.” which ok, valid but still. and then she adds “also, i’d probably puke all over if i ever flew in one of those”

and i just ???? yea me too, mom, but it’d be so worth it.

long story short, please tell me i’m not the only freak obsessed with aviation who loves that movie bc of the planes and because of the gayest love story to ever gay (yes icemav i’m looking at you)

Honestly, when recreating this character I actually started getting a tiny bit emotional- Probably because this was one of T H E first genuinely serious ocs I’ve ever made (oh hey I also have michaela to thank for kickstarting my love of creating ocs as well- so, thank you pt. 2 <3), and even though she was kinda cliche when I first made her, I still loved her so so much-

As of right now, only her design is redone, I still want to revamp and improve her personality to be more in depth and I want to continue worldbuilding for her part in the universe (it’s more like an au at this point because it doesn’t go with the canon route and with how much I’ve done with my own worldbuilding, I’m sorry-) so maybe when all my ocs are done being redesigned and made to be more in depth I’ll make a longer post just for the relationship tabs and the worldbuilding I’ve done-

Anyways, enough of that rambling-

Here is the before and after of Catherine, from 2017 to 2022! (if there’s anyone who actually recognizes this from my wattpad 2017 era, I’m surprised- but hey, shoutout to you, ily-)

As much as I get embarrassed sharing my old art, I do actually love looking back on my old art and seeing how much I’ve improved since then- Besides, back then I was creating with just as much love as I do now, it made me who I am today and I wouldn’t change that experience for anything in the world, so I’ve learned to look back with more fondness rather than embarrassment. (okay but not 100% without embarrassment, because why did I use that ‘fade in/out’ pen from firealpaca?? that pen was such a struggle to use-)

Besides, I would’ve never been able to guess that my art would improve so much. If I knew this was how my art was gonna end up back then, I would’ve freaked out- in a good way, of course-

Sorry, this post was really self-indulgent and not my usual thing to post- I just got super excited seeing that Michaela’s back and got just pure the rush of motivation to redo my old ocs- 

SMTO will always have a special place in my heart no matter how many years pass. I’ll always be thankful for such a welcoming and nice community (even if I was, and still kinda am, too shy most of the time to interact-).

eugh okay that’s enough of being sappy for today- hopefully I’ll be able to finish this small project of recreating my old ocs. (if I do, will I be more sappy from nostalgia? or will I just be normal about showing off my ocs? who knows! hell if I know!)
