Why are shadows or shadow-symbolized characters always edgy? Shadows stick with you no matter what. Shadows dance. Shadows can seem playful. We use shadows for silly jokes and fun puppet shows. My kitty hides in my shadow on hot days. Shadows are just the flip side of the human coin. Why do we treat them like they're scary or angsty by nature? We projected our own darkness into them but they're just shades of us.

aja and krel would love kpop demon hunters btw. krel for the kpop and aja for the demon hunters. Somewhere along the way they both start crying because they both relate to Rumi a little too hard.

their next move is to get douxie to watch it. krel lures him in with promises of well-produced, fun songs. aja just uses puppy eyes. Douxie gets way too invested in jinu and yells at the screen during That Last Scene.

somehow they drag the others to a watch party and that's as far as the braincell got today

i just figured out a whole heckin theme of ftgoa while writing a jlaire scene and listening to OSP's detail diatribe about The Last Unicorn that came out yesterday. namely that this universe (tales of arcadia) is deeply driven by people coming back for each other. Tons of the major character beats in the franchise can be pinned down to one character returning to another character. i cannot tell if i am cooking or hallucinating

thought a little too hard about kpop demon hunters. very interesting to me that the lyrics in Your Idol go "pray FOR me now" and not "pray TO me now". almost sounds like jinu is sending out a plea to anyone who will listen to pray for his soul. or something

anyway i had an idea for a third Cybertronian faction, the Cosmechs, that split off from Cybertron before the civil war broke out. The idea is that they aim to preserve and expand Cybertronian science and knowledge. Their vibes are based on Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Babylon 5, and Star Trek TNG, loosely.

The Cosmechs' lighting is (usually) reflective of the color of stars rather than the standard Autobot/Decepticon red vs blue. Among Cosmechs, red is for lower energy, older age, wisdom; blue for high intelligence, energy, and drive; yellow, orange and white, also exist, and other colors tend to take after the colors observed in nebulae. Black eyes with red or gold glow, like black holes, are essentially the Cosmech version of Decepticons' corruption-y red eyes vibe.
