hiii :))

i just found infested today and i’ve been going absolutely cray cray about it. screamed the entire time. especially the panel layouts are so engaging like??? do you have any specific process for planning that out or does it just come to you in the moment lol

I have a vague idea about what I want the panels to look like (unless I thumb out the page completely and then I'm a lot more precise with planning during the scripting stage of things) and then once I hop into the art side of it, I'll take that vague idea and maybe add to it with some stuff here or there to make the layout a bit more dynamic!

I've been following up on Infested for a while now and I really love your style, especially how you make the expressions. Infact, it kind of found its way into how I draw, so now every forearm I make is thicker, and I love it.

But I gotta know. Why do you draw Sonic and Shadow's back spikes vertically flatter instead of their usual cone, quill shape? This isn't a nitpick, I'm genuinely curious.

I’m not sure if Rouge being alive or dead is better off. If she’s alive, she could be extremely disfigured or wounded and will never see Shadow the same, if she’s dead, Shadow will have to live with the guilt for the rest of his eternal life.

Why do you sound kind of mad sometimes when you answer asks? Apologies because I’m a bit bad at reading tone through text but you just feel kinda sarcastic or overly mean sometimes with answers, I’m not trying to tell you how to answer stuff but sometimes your tone comes off a certain way?

I grew up in a very dry humor sarcastic sort of family + people every day are still convinced that tails is alive just because I didn't show a body and I get more wretched and mean every time I see a little ask or a comment of that nature.

I wouldn't know because before I started Infested, the only horror AU I knew about was Sonic.EXE.

I was just writing from my own raw feelings at the time, since I have depression and, during a very stressful time in my life, I was unmedicated.

I don't know about those other horror AUs (well I know for sure .EXE does it for shock value alone) but -- And I've said this before -- Tails's death is one of the most important events in the entirety of Infested. It was very, very necessary that he died. The central theme of the comic is grief, after all.

Or maybe all horror AUs kill Tails just to piss you off, idk

The "Hey" is actually just the voice line from Sonic 06, thats why Shadow is so shocked and afraid. He doesnt want to repeat that whole thing again...

if it was the 06 "hey" Sonic would bolt upright from his zombie hunch and remember everything in an instant and also the bug in his brain would explode.

I think it's the shocked expression on Shadow's face that might deter some folks from thinking that. He is turning his head away from Sonic, however, that much is true.
