Website Update and Announcement For Major Project
Our website, The Chimeras Library, has been updated.
Changes include:
An Updated "Symbols Found In The Alterhuman Communities" which now includes the symbols for endels, archetropes, and conceptkin!
An overhauled "A Deeper Look Into Cladotherianthropy."
Added a Spanish translation of  "A Timeline of the Therianthrope Community." Translated by the alterhuman aike.
Added a Spanish translation of "A Timeline of the Fictionkin Community." Translated by the alterhuman aike.
Added a Spanish translation of "A Timeline of the Alterhuman Community." Translated by the alterhuman aike.
Added a Spanish translation of "A Timeline of Plant-Identified People in the Otherkin Communities." Translated by the alterhuman aike.
We're also happy to announce a major project we hope to be sharing in the near future.
The Chimeras Archive.
The Chimeras Archive will consist of an ever updating link to a Zotero account hosting citations for the over 500 items of various media related to the alterhuman community, mentioning alterhumans, or of interest to alerhumanity.
Categories that will be included: academic books, dissertations, journal articles, academic lectures, theses, non-academic books, documentaries, lecture or convention panels, magazine articles, zines, TV broadcasts, newspaper articles, radio broadcasts, podcasts, novels, comics, games, movies, plays, and more.
The Chimeras Archive is an updated version of a project we have been working on for the past decade. We are committed to collecting materials as they relate to alterhuman and sharing their existence with others. This includes not only collecting the citations of these many different kinds of media but also acquiring physical/digital copies of these materials.
Unlike our other projects which have designated versions published in pdf form. Our plan is to instead run a live and updating Zotero listing and a document where the same information will be listed in written form.
As this is a massive overhaul of our existing project, the completion into these two formats is taking a significant amount of time please see our "Academic Publications, Non-Academic Publications, Media, Art, and Fiction Related To Nonhumanity" for the previous rendition of this project in the mean time. We plan on releasing links to our Zotero and the live document in the near future once we have had a chance to better layout the groundwork for them.

Ɐ + N/AHAA - Together in Difference
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ɐ (derived from the mathematical symbol meaning 'for all', and pronounced as 'Turned A') is a symbol/term for any and all within our overlapping communities.
We (those involved in coining this term) realised there was no actual term that encompasses all identities, seeing as not everyone identifies with alterhuman or nonhuman.
This symbol is for:
Anyone and everyone who doesn't identify with the traditional definition of humanity. This involves alterhumanity, nonhumans, therians, human and nonhuman fictionkin, otherkin, endels, holotheres, clinical zoanthropes, linkers, otherhearted, and ANYONE else who has an addition to their humanity, isn't human in the slightest, and everything in between.
Anyone who is ready to celebrate the overlaps between our communities, and allow us to experience a wider community without trying to put everyone under a human or not human label.
The celebration of being different! To laugh in the face of 'cringe' and embrace your unique experience of life.
We're also, in this post, coining the acronyms N/AHAA and/or ASAA! These are Non/Alterhuman and Adjacents, and Alterspecies and Adjacents! They both mean exactly the same as Ɐ, but are an easier to pronounce alternative.
The symbols in the pictures are completely free to use! They also don't have to be pawprints - we're working on alternate versions for different species.
Involved in coining:
@lycanm00n (me!), @koirankusema666, @canis-dentem, @howlinginsolitude and Plague/Rot !
This symbol and term is NOT for any zoophiles, zootherians, MAPs, pedos, etc. Sanists, anti physical nonhumanity, ableists, and anyone fitting basic DNI is also not welcome to use this. This is a queer and neurodivergent friendly label.

A few identities under the alterhuman umbrella are, but are not limited to :

Links to each term will be added progressively

tidaline flag (normal and simplified symbol) and symbols (under cut)!
🌊 an alterhuman identity caused or influenced by bipolar, schizoaffective or cyclothymic disorder; any symptom or mood state can cause or influence a tidaline identity as long as you consider it directly related to bipolar, shchizoaffective or cyclothymia 🌊 from "tidal" (related to or affected by the tide) and "-ine" (suffix meaning like, of or pertaining to, of the nature of, etc.); coined after the fluid and cyclical nature of the tides and the way water has both positive and negative symbolism depending on context 🌊 tidaline identities can be called tidetypes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
symbol-free flag and templates:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
further notes:
re: the term
"tidaline" works as both an adjective and a noun ("i'm tidaline" vs. "i am a tidaline"); the quality of being tidaline is called tidality
tidaline can be a standalone label or coexist with other labels; i.e. you can just be tidaline or your tidetypes can also count as endels, kintypes, etc. it's an umbrella term!
if you're considered in remission/are not actively experiencing symptoms but bipolar has/continues to significantly impact your identity, it still counts if you want to use the label!
with/as and voluntary/involuntary agnostic
re: the symbols
standard is the wave + eclipse graphic, simplified is the eclipse
see above regarding the relevance of waves to tidaline as a concept; the eclipse was chosen for similar reasons (duality, rising and setting, the sun and moon existing both separately and together, etc)
the colors pink, yellow, periwinkle and indigo in the standard were chosen to invoke the mad pride flag and represent mania and depression
redesigned the simplified one to be... simpler: the venn diagram is fairly self-explanatory, the star is the nonhumanity
re: the flag
the pink and yellow/warm stripes represent mania and hypomania, the indigo and blue/cool stripes represent depression, the middle purple represents mixed states, and the white represents mood equilibrium
the pink and purples were also chosen to invoke the mad pride flag
the flag's colors are generally patterned after a sunset on the ocean

Hello! Here at 'Werecreature Culture Is', you can send an ask discussing anything relatable to Werecreatures! Anyone who is a were can send an ask, including Lycanthropes, zoanthropes, werebats, werecats, anyone! (Endels welcome!)
This was made for fun and seemingly the lack of werewolf/creature culture blogs on Tumblr
Questions are also okay to submit! If I do not know the answer, other folks are welcome to help out in the comments/reblogs
☆ミ・∵.
[Blog ran by Eri (doggiedayz) he/it/fang]
[I'm a clinical Lycanthrope who is also a chimera + polymorph therian/otherkin, along with being coyote and corvid hearted! I am also autistic and have a few somewhat invisible disabilities]
[My "main" blog is actually a side blog, so unfortunately I can't follow anyone back or dm from that blog :( ]
Rules
- Any asks that are simply hate or harassment won't be answered at all :)
-Please use a standard font when sending an ask, to make it easy for myself and others to read (along with screenreaders!)
-Specify your weretype! ie Lycanthrope, fox, bat (clinical or therian/kin/heart/etc)
-If you want your asked to have specific tags (such as endel or clinical, lycan/zoanthropy) Specify it in your ask! ("C/Clinical Lycanthrope culture is.." "endel werecat culture is..") If not, it'll be tagged by what you have written :3
Press 'read more' for the FAQ and DNI list!
-------
FAQ
- What is the difference between a regular Lycanthrope and a clinical Lycanthrope?
A Lycanthrope is someone who can transform into a wolf or werewolf, and a clinical Lycanthrope is just that, except their shifts are influenced typically by mental aspects such as psychosis, delusions, hallucinations, etc.
-What is the difference between Lycanthropy and Zoanthropy?
Lycanthropes typically are wolves and werewolves, while Zoanthropes are any other animal. Some people who would fall under the Zoanthropy category, though, choose to not claim that for theirself and shouldn't be applied to everyone
-What is an endel?
An endel is similar in definition to what a clinical Lycanthrope is. Someone whos nonhuman shifts are influenced by their mental health or delusions
-What is a P/Physical shifter?
This is someone who believes/knows that they are able to physically shift into their wereform or therio/kin type. Some physical shifters do experience it due to delusion, others do not (I am an endel P shifter, please do not ask me questions about folks who have no delusions and P shift because I genuinely cannot answer that question! Respectfully ask a non endel P shifter their experience if you're curious, as it's different for everyone :3 )
- What is the symbol in your banner?
It is the (currently unofficial) Lycanthropy symbol! I made it myself to represent Lycanthropes
DNI:
Bigots, ableists, p*dophiles of any kind, zoos, anti endel + anti schizospec, general DNI criteria
please don't make me update this DNI, I feel like it doesn't need any additions or further clarification so please don't do anything that will make me update it

Endel Symbol History?
We've been trying to work on some things and we realized that we had missed adding the archetrope and the endel symbols to our Symbols Found In The Alterhuman & Related Communities document. So we've been working on that. However, we're struggling to find the origins of the endel symbol (the strawberry with a white flower) or any of the alternative endel symbols at the moment.
We'd love to add them if possible. Does anyone know about the origins/history of these symbols?

Kindpunk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With symbol (left) || Without Symbol (right)
A subculture/term for those in the Otherkin community that are radically inclusive to others using the kin label, and blurring boundaries between otherkin and other kinds of alterhumanity.
Kindpunks are against gatekeeping in the kin community, whether or not one’s personally a spiritual otherkin, casual otherkin, KFF (Kin-For-Fun), kinnie, fableing, kin-related introject, extranths who identify with the label, etc. with focus primarily on otherkin experiences. Supportive of blurring between “identifying with” and “identifying as”. Kindpunks also respect the fact some spaces may be only for talking about non-chosen otherkin experiences, while others are for talking about chosen otherkin experiences. Kindpunks respect the origins of otherkin while also recognizing language changes and evolves over time, and that there has always been blurring between unchosen/chosen and identifying with/as in the alterhuman community.
Kindpunks also recognize every individual has a different experience with kinhood, and respects that. (Ex: Having many kintypes, being able to drop kins/kintypes, being unable able to drop kins/kintypes, rapid or slow (kin)shifting, unchosen otherkin sometimes having problematic characters/kintypes, current-life beliefs (such as being only partly human), a kin having a problematic source and recognizing that, complex relations with identity, having a kinlist, listening to kin playlists, having fun and/or being serious with your identity, etc)
Who's included?
Spiritual, Religious, Clinical Lycantrophy, Psychological, Blurkind, KFF, etc. All good faith self-identified otherkin/kin/kinnies are within this community. This includes ALL kinds of otherkin labels.
Other non-otherkin alterhumans/ahumans who feel connected to the otherkin community, without necessarily identifying as otherkin themself. EX: Constelic, Endels, Otherlink, Copinglink, etc. (This also includes half-kin/demi-humans, and furries who relate to experiences in the community.)
Who’s NOT included?
Alterhumans who do not identify themselves as otherkin, or adjacent to the otherkin community itself. (Do not assume someone’s otherkin/blurkind, nor assume their personal identity.)
KFF Factkin. Especially if said “kin” is currently living. You can deeply relate to someone, however you cannot BE them unless you were reborn from a past life/alternative universe. (If you are Factkin, it’s also generally good faith to specify you’re not trying to claim you’re this universe’s (currently) living counterpart. Especially if you’re neurotypical.)
KFF against serious Otherkin. Kindpunk is about solidarity. If you’re ableist/saneist/anti-alterhuman by calling serious kin (Psychological/Spiritual/etc.) delusional, you’re not kindpunk nor are you welcome in the kin community.
Otherkin who are against the use of other community terms. Kindpunk is about blurring boundaries in the community, however also respective the terms other choose to describe themselves.
You use being otherkin (and other-wise nonhuman) as an excuse to perpetrate/support pro-contact zoophilia, abuse, “consang”, racism, queermisia, etc.
Practically anyone who uses otherkin, kin, kinnie, etc. in bad faith.
.
Why? My personal experience.
TDLR; Gatekeeping in the kin community directly mirroring gatekeeping/exclusionist rhetoric in other communities I’m in. The reason I coined this term is primarily because I’m against exclusion in any community (Of course respecting closed identities is also a focus point, such as indigenous and racial identities, religion-based identities, neurodiverse identities, culture/practice locked identities, etc), and my personal experience as someone who’s blurkind, I fit multiple types of alterhumanity AND otherkin (Mostly Spiritual Otherkin and KFF.)
As someone who’s queer with “contradictory” labels (and plural), every “reason” I’ve seen for excluding KFF from exploring and having fun with identity, has directly mirrored exclusionist behavior I’ve seen in the queer community. (Ex: “Using the wrong term” = invalid experience (Mirrors mspec gay discourse), Only one definition of a term is valid (Mirrors lesbian discourse), being x isn’t fun/you can’t have fun with identity (Mirrors Xenogender discourse), etc.)
My experience as blurkind, my first experience with the otherkin community was somewhat bitter, gatekeeping left and right on whether or not someone’s experience is “valid” enough to call yourself otherkin left a bitter taste in my mouth because my experience, even as my experience as kin has the origin on reincarnation, it ALSO always has had a casual due to another origin of my kin identity being for fun, whether or not I gained memories or not. For me, a lot of the “reasoning” behind exclusion in the community is the exact same as I experienced while growing up while first learning about transmed/truscum/tucute/“trender” discourse. It’s valid to take your identity in any way, whether it be serious and/or for fun.
Even though I’ve begun to use other alterhuman community terms for my experience, such as other-hearted and nonhuman in general, my first experience was with the kin label, and such holds much more prevalence in my mind versus others.
.
This term was originally posted April 4th, 2022.
This term was originally coined as Kinpunk, however has been changed to Kindpunk after harassment from various sources. (Plus the fact there's apparently has already been two separate coinings of kinpunk.)

Playing around w colors so those r subject to change but I like idea of the symbols having various specific versions too. Thoughts?
Also this is mainly meant for zoanthropes and other werebeast endels but im still considering whether werebeast kin r going to fall under it. A big factor in this unification is also the hardships that come with trasforming and/or physically believing yourself to be nonhuman which kin/therian isnt by definition and I dont rlly want this to be taken over by ppl who r just in it for the identity/for fun. Its a very different experience that gets treated like dirt enough by kin/therians and general public.

Zombie4Zombie/Zomb4Zomb
Zombie4Zombie is a term where you're a zombie (system member, otherkin, endel/DA, or other forms of alterbeing) and prefer/prioritize relationships w/ other zombie alterbeings or fictional characters (if you're ficto and/or a selfshipper!) This label & flag can also be used for fun, though it was made with people who do have a PREFERENCE preference in mind.

Diaunthric
Noun. "di-" (prefix) meaning: "double" or copy/replica. "auth" meaning: "authentic" or real. "-thro" (suffix) meaning: "anthro" or human.
Diaunthros are, "those who identify as or with a copy of another real human being, whether past or presently existing."
Usage:
A diaunthro person is diaunthric. a diaunthro may have a diaunth who is the american actress, marilyn monroe.
Purpose:
Terminology was created as a self-identifier and is synonymous with factkin and many other fact-identifiers. diaunthro removes the misidentification of human fact-identities experiencing otherkinity (nonhumanity) and provides a more accurate terminology in congruence with the alterhuman community as a whole.
Symbol:
Tumblr media
The diaunthric symbol is the traditional factkin symbol. the imagery depicts a human with multiple diaunth's (shown as circles) being expressed.
Pride flag colors:
The diaunthric colors also follow the traditional factkin colors. the stripes are each different shades of grey. the stripes getting darker in shade moving away from the center.
