Imosril is a neogender umbrella related to the fear of unreality, madness, things not being quite right, spirals, fractals, lying and deception, delusions and hallucinations, optical illusions, mazes, insomnia, impossibility, and The Spiral from The Magnus Archives.

Imosril is not in itself xenogender, although some specific imosril terms may overlap. While intended to describe gender, imosril may be used for other types of identity as well.

I haven't seen this take a WHOLE lot, but I have seen it enough to get. Frustrated. About it.

So for anyone who doesn't get it: no, symptoms of mental illness are not, in every case, majorly or solely the result of Dealing With Capitalism. Sometimes, they can be! Sometimes the symptoms are situational, and those situations are heavily related to how much capitalism sucks! But many times they are not. I am sorry, but mental illness and trauma and neurodivergence are still going to exist even if capitalism completely goes away. We still have a responsibility to treat the people affected by and experiencing these things with compassion and understanding. We still have to. You know. Acknowledge that their life experience is going to be a lot different than many other's is.

THE SILENT PATIENT BOOK REVIEW

Very perceptive book, I felt that the author really captured the feelings and emotions of the characters in a collected and almost mysterious way. Didn't see the plot twist coming but when I think about it, it's not that far fetched. The writing was really good and had me engaged mostly as well. Definitely recommend to all as even though I'm not a thriller girl, it appealed very much so!

SPOILERS AHEAD

The flashbacks were so unexpected I have to say that's for sure. I liked how it's done as Alicia's diary and his thoughts too. It's crazy how he brings the Kathy and Gabriel stuff together.

Overall, I enjoyed.

Would love to say that Six loathed the Legion from the moment they stepped foot in Nipton.

However knowing Six they saw they burned bodies, the pillaged houses, and crucified men, and thought they walked into a place God had taken. They knelt at the foot of the crosses, clasped their hands, and prayed for their own salvation.

Could you imagine, being Vulpes in that moment? You see a figure appearing from the smoke and desert haze, and prepare yourself to add another corpse to the impossibly long list. And yet, they kneel before a man better off dead, silent and unmoving before they approach you and ask “who are you?”

And you tell this person of the mighty Caesar, and how you destroyed this place of sin in his name, and how they should be lucky you are being merciful today. And yet you can’t help but ask, “why kneel before such a disgusting beast?”

And this person, dressed in Vault rags, with bloody feet and hands, with old, rotting bandages wrapped around their face, looks you in the eye and talks of how God - whoever that may be - had laid His hands upon them, caressed their skin and lifted them out of a grave, and how the cross of crucification was one of His symbols. How He - and you have never heard such reverent tones, even with your fellow Legionnaires about Caesar - had given them life again, life again to kill the man that killed them, and how nothing mattered more than putting that man in the same grave he tried to put them in

Despite yourself, you feel as though this stranger, this bizarre creature, could be a powerful weapon for the Legion. So you tell them to spread the word of Nipton, of what the Legion does to filthy profligates like the ones who once resided here

You turn away from them after that, telling your men to leave, only to see from the corner of your eye that this bizarre beast made human form return to the crucified men, and kneel at the feet of another one, clasped hands and closed eyes. And in the distance, when you look back after you have left behind the shell of Nipton, you see they have moved onto the next one.
