Is it worth to watch Fire Force solely for Arthur Boyle?

If I told you that you couldn’t make me even consider fire force last year it would be an understatement. I thought it was a dumb hype train, stupid shonen shit taking the spotlight instead of dr stone.

And then three weeks ago I was like I might as well see what this is about I have nothing better to do. Bam. Instantly in love.

Like first ep has no arthur but I didn’t yet know who arthur was so my train of thought was ‘banger op i will now listen to this song exclusively for the next year - adorable protagonist i want to protect him - banger ed’

But then the holy grail that the second episode is rolls around and THE BOY gets introduced.

He IS BLONDE HE HAS BLUE EYES AND HE THINKS HES A KNIGHT. What more could you ask from a character. And just in that single episode he gets a whole ass mini character arc. He is this dumb bitch strong as fuck dude and his power is actually kinda cool and seems interesting, and he has so much chemistry with Shinra. THEYRE RIVALS GODDAMN IT THEY HAVE OPPOSITE COLOR PALLETS DO YOU SEE THE SETUP FOR THE SHIP.

And then at the end of the episode there is this beautiful anime only scene between the two of them that tells you ‘hey, maybe there is something in that thick skull of his’. I was sold then and there. He is actually really prominent through the episodes and his ridiculously strong and meaningful moments (even if they’re kinda played for laughs) make me think that I could do so so much with his whole character.

I absolutely love him, his dumb ponytail, every ‘hmpf’ he says, when his eyes light up when he uses his powers my heart goes doki doki.

So in short abso-fucking-lutely. Fire force is really great even if people don’t talk about it that much, but watching it solely for Arthur does pay off because he is loveable and adorable and so funny at times, i’m sure you’ll have a great time

(Also feel so so free to update me if you start watching cause i need more people to scream about fire forcw with)
