i think that as long as u have like premade rice, ready to go, ricebowls are such easy easy meals. like the grain based equivalent of stew/soups. the most difficult part about it is needing to have rice, and as someone who never remembers to like meal prep or anything waiting for it to cook is sooooo hard 😭

Boiled Egg and Anchovy Salad

Colourful and tasty, this simple Boiled Egg and Anchovy Salad is quickly prepared, just what one needs on a busy Saturday! Have a good one!
 Ingredients (serves 1):
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
about 1 cup lettuce (I used a mix of green and red leaf), rinsed and spin-dried
1 ripe tomato, rinsed
1/3 cup sweet corn, drained
1 tablespoon Vinaigrette Dressing 
half a dozen anchovies, kept in oil
Bring a small saucepan filled to three-quarters with water to the boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, stir in coarse sea salt until dissolved. Gently lower the egg into the boiling water, and cook, for exactly 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, chop lettuce and dice tomatoes.
In a medium bowl, combine chopped lettuce, diced tomato and sweet corn. Drizzle generously with Vinaigrette, and toss gently to combine. Spoon into serving plate.
Once the egg has boiled for 8 minutes, remove from the saucepan and immediately plunge it in a bowl of ice water, to stop cooking and cool.
Carefully peel the egg, and cut in half.
Arrange boiled egg halves on top of the salad, along with anchovies.
Enjoy Boiled Egg and Anchovy Salad immediately!

all about health // meals: how many meals does my muse eat a day? what do they generally consist of?
((He genuinely tries to aim for 3 square meals, it just doesn't always happen. He hyperfixates and then doesn't hear his reminder alarms and then someone has to go pry him away from whatever task or game or whatever has sucked him into the zone so he actually eats.
As for what he eats, pretty much anything that Alfred or Jason make. Alfred makes very filling very healthy meals which is necessary for a bunch of vigilantes expending ridiculous amounts of energy almost every night. Jason does that too but I like to think that he also leans more towards homely nostalgic meals more often than Alfred does so Jason's the one who will do homemade take out favourites or the kind of heavy stews and soups that tempt you into a food coma when you're only half done.
As long as it's heavily seasoned so that he can actually taste it (underactive sense of taste, yes it's annoying) and isn't egg (devilled, omelet, scrambled, fried, poached, boiled, frittata, quiche, casseroles, part of a tart or sandwich or salad or burrito or wrap) he's more than happy to eat it. He's got a fondness for spicy foods like curry, chile, jambalya ect))

Fish fillets, cauliflower noodle macNcheese, "salad" of grated carrot and single bit of lettuce leaf, veggie egg roll (I lost the argument that it counts as a cooked veg. Today has been too exhausting. I put that battle down.)

fucked up how nice lunchmeat is considering it's carcinogenic. also fucked up that all the money in the world can't buy me non-carcinogenic slices of lunchmeat. when did that even start. what were we doing before. i need thin pieces of meat that will stay good in a fridge for a week. or honestly i wouldn't mind putting frozen slices on my sandwich if it's thin enough. that could be fun. i just need some nice thin meat that won't significantly increase my likelihood of certain cancers.
