I took inspiration from a character that belongs to one of the books from the Victorian literature!!

all caught up with TAZ vs Dracula

can't stress how there are only 12 episodes out so far, for people who are intimidated by long running series, you can catch up p easily

they are back to being murder hobos but this time with all the professionalism, wisdom and immersion the past campaigns brought them, they're decent to NPCs unless given (implicit) greenlight to go ham

tons of popculture references as usual but now as actualy NPCs : we have Frankenstein, Van Helsing, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Toni the Tiger, DrJekyll and MrHyde, Wolfman and Dracula broke up, everyone hates the Invisible Man except for two people apparently

everything is absolutely batshit and the pace is so good, everything happens so quickly, there's werehorses flirting, there are weregoldfishes, only one elevator mentionned so far but yes the shopkeeper is a cat

justin plays a granny who was exploded by Wolfman and Dracula in their Dragula and had her head reattached to the body of a hot barbarian war maiden, travis has finally gotten a dog, and clint even remembers what to roll most of the time

A+ podcast if you like slapstick violence and wild storytelling

Character Illustration & Interpretation

This week I was asked to create an illustration of any character from Literature, I chose to focus my work on Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde from the book 'The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde' by Robert Louis Stevenson.

I have used a combination of pencil, coloured biro pens and watercolor.

On the left side of the drawing is Dr Jekyll a wealthy, respected and well dressed man who cares about his appearance and on the right side of the illustration is his evil alter ego Mr Hyde, he is wearing ripped and blood stained clothes. I took inspiration from the quote "He gives a strong feeling of deformity" (Stevenson, 2012) as this made me visulise a man who has some kind of disability that altered the way he would walk making him look as though he wasn't human, I have created this look/effect for Mr Hyde by giving him a deformed leg and walking stick.

I added some paint splatters and hand drawn swerls to the background to resemble the fog in the streets of London, this was where the book was set during the first chapter.

I can’t believe after what’s felt like years of searching, I found the exact book that got me into horror as a genre. I remember reading these stories for the first time during my 4th Grade English class. I was reading Frankenstein, and I couldn’t put it down. I remember we were discussing similes and metaphors, and how to tell the difference between the two, which for me was easy and I grasped it quickly. My teacher would call on me and even though I was engrossed in this story, I could still answer whatever it was they called on me for. I also remember them being cool enough to let me continue to read without telling me to just put the book away. I actually sat at my desk through lunch to keep reading it. I felt that this was truly where my love of reading and writing took off from here. I’m not sure what happened to my own copy, but I’m thankful that I was able to find it. (The image I used was from the seller’s page on eBay-I’ll post when my copy arrives.) I can’t wait to binge all these again.
