Behold, by childhood nostalgia!

one more repost since I don't have that much time for new art </3

I love remembering things that were very important to me during my childhood, "The Wizard of Oz" being one of those things

Especially these two characters, who I always found relatable (especially Scarecrow for some reason, lol) and I thought were simply wonderful^^

I just really love the dynamic between them and just the way they are in general <3

I grew up seeing interpretations of Scarecrow which were short, so I stuck with that detail. I thought it's only logical, since he was made by Munchkins. Also I prefer designs where he wears blue, since that's what Munchkins wear. I decided to make his clothes a bit dull, since I imagine someone used very old clothes that lost some of it's color to make him.

I wanted to make Tin Man short as well, buuuut decided not to. Just thought that the height difference would be fun, lol. I put him in a lumberjack kinda shirt, since I thought it'd be fun. I can't imagine why nobody else used that detail before. When I was starting to draw him, he looked very stiff compared to wobbly Scarecrow, but I decided to roll with it, since he's made of metal and he gets rusty all the time, so his body isn't that flexible. Scarecrow on the other hand has no bones, so he can do whatever. Tin man has this sort of glass window on his chest, though which you can see his heart. It was added only after he got one, so that's why the detail is missing in one of the sketches.

I definitely didn't add random text to this image to cover up empty spaces ahahahahha why would you think of that? '^^

I also played around with the artstyle again^^

I wanted this to look as warm and comforting as possible, since that's what I feel like when I think about Oz and the books I read as a kid

Overall I'm really happy with these designs, I love these two, they were my entire childhood <3
