Queer family needs help avoiding homelessness

Hello again!

My family is still at risk becoming homeless and we could really use some support this month making ends meet while we look for work. We recently lost employment and we have had many interviews, but none of them have gotten back to us yet. We have no money for rent, bills, or food and could really use help from our community to avoid things getting worse. It pains me to see my loved ones going hungry and our mental health has been hurting from the stress of this situation. Homeless LGBT family in need of help this summer!

Hello again, everyone.

My family is still homeless and the struggle has been getting worse and worse with each passing week. Things are getting terrible in our area in terms of safety for us and our community, the heat keeps getting worse, and my health hasn't been getting any better. We really need help affording food and temporary shelter right now so I can try and recover while we both look for work. I might have a good lead on a promising job but this stuff takes time and I just cannot do this without help. I can't be out in that heat and I need a place to hook up my medical equipment each night so any assistance getting by is greatly appreciated.

hi gang, i’m gonna keep this as anonymous as possible, god forbid anyone i know find this, but.

i have a neurological disorder that causes me chronic pain. daily, disabling pain. it’s a pretty under researched and misunderstood condition, which adds to the stress of explaining it, getting treated, etc.



anyways my bf is a saint, i’m his first “serious” relationship, and i am BY FAR not an easy first pet yk? along with my chronic pain i have some other medical problems, mentally and physically, and generally a lot of baggage. so all things considered, he has handled everything i’ve thrown at him with grace and respect.

it’s odd, really, it took me YEARS to convince my parents to take my pain seriously, my friends don’t fully understand it, and my coworkers think i’m a snowflake or something.

but he’s never questioned it at all, i told him and he immediately took it in stride. granted, he didn’t understand a lot of it and it took some explaining, but he was so so so willing to understand.

but the whole point of this is, i follow some accounts that relate to my disability and other issues i have, and i occasionally repost from them.

well i was sitting with my bf and i just glanced at his phone, and it was a post of one of the accounts i follow. it was on his feed, and it wasn’t one of the ones i reposted, meaning, he went out of his way to follow said account.

i immediately choked up and it felt so stupid to be so affected by such a simple gesture, but it meant so much that he purposely looked for more information about my condition, i couldn’t handle it.

it made me feel so loved, seen, and cared for. i can’t believe i have someone in my life like him. even though he can’t make my disability go away, or ease my pain, i still feel so much better knowing i have him in my corner.

The other day I was stressed out because I wanted to write but I was paralyzed by executive dysfunction and my lover sat me down and told me to write one word and I did. That’s all I wrote and I felt bad about it but my lover wouldn’t let me tell myself it was “not good enough.”

Just spent two hours staring at an empty document. Wrote one word and closed it.
