Homeless LGBT couple asking for help! (December 2024)

Hey everyone.

My family and I have been homeless for four years now and we have both been struggling to find work. I had one for a bit but I was let go due to branch issues and even that hadn't been enough to get us a place to live long term. These last several months, I have been growing increasingly ill and a few weeks ago, I injured my ankle pretty badly so it is super important that we have shelter so I can recover while looking for work. We are both sick now and we've barely had funds for food lately too so we could really use the help.

Right now, I'm asking for help covering a motel room, food, and toiletries. Any help is appreciated but we really could also use help getting fresh attention on this post as things have been getting harder and harder with each passing week. We are paying for the room about every three days so there will be constant need. Thank you to everyone who has helped us this far. I'm hoping I can make things work soon because I just don't have it in me to keep going like this.

First off: my mom is back from the hospital! She's still in pain but shes going to have in home physical therapy and doctors visits for a while, so hopefully she'll be on the med soon. Thank you to everyone who helped me visit her in the hospital and get the supplements and vitamins we needed.

We still have one outstanding bills (the internet) which is around $89 total, and we still need food. I'm $421 overdrawn, which I also need to take care of before the 1st of January. So any help covering all that and getting another $100 for food would be amazing.

I also need $50 to get an Uber to pick up my mom's meds that can't be mailed once her doctor submits the pen needles for her insulin to the pharmacy. That I need via the PayPal listed above.

Emergency!!

I am the main provider of two disabled roommates, one of whom is currently on the other side of the country getting cancer treatment which was denied locally via a ridiculous circle of denied referrals. I doing what I can to help her from here, and continuing to take care of our other roommate.

Seperately, I have my own health issues, and haven't had a liscence for years due to neurological issues. I have recently gotten my license and I need to get a car.

We live in an area where doing just normal errands, costs $100+ and that is our only option for the foreseeable future if I don't get a car. Additionally, a car would allow me to do delivery work while my online job is slow.

I have been looking locally and found a decent car for $1,700 that the guy will hold until tomorrow evening. It needs a little work, but I have friends that will work on it for next to nothing.

Right now, I have $600 of this and intended to save that for rent, but this is the cheapest price I have seen on a car in this decent condition. Anything helps especially because we domt have much time. I am making the goal $1,500 because I am unsure how much of rent I'll be able to make back after this.

NOTHING, NO help for days literally not a cent. PLEASE IGNORE the amount of notes as we still need help. I grew up in poverty. Holidays were empty and just reminders of how cruel and unfair life was, we didn't really celebrate Christmas we were never welcome we'd eat $1 meals and if lucky a gift from dollar tree and I'd go to bed crying cause was hungry n depressed cause it didn't look like the Christmas we saw on tv or heard about at school. I just assumed Santa hated poor people

I just want them to have something good to eat, something different

Help a disabled woman get through Christmas!!

Wednesday, December 18th: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I am struggling to pay my overdrawn balance!!

I apologize for asking for help again; as most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling quite a lot to make ends meet while on welfare benefits and due to my rent arrears and ever-increasing debt. And to be quite honest, these past few months have been absolute hell for me, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by.

However, I desperately need that kindness again because it's Christmas next week, and some bills due later in the month came out early, which I'm struggling to pay. I don't receive my welfare until New Year's Eve and have no money to cover them myself, and if I can't pay it off before then, my welfare will be taken and I won't be able to get through January!!

Again, I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much.

Doing terrible today. Bad mental health, bad mood, in a bad fucking place rn. My head feels like it's splitting, and I feel so isolated, and I'm so TIRED DAMNIT of having to beg and look for jobs EVERY DAMN DAY for yeaaaars! I'm at the end of my rope. I'm so burnt out.
