Here are some ideas for folks tht may be struggling getting up &&doing the tingz !!
♡ Print off a sticker chart !! Ik for me having external motivation aka cute lil stickers showing how good I’ve been can rly rly help !!
♡ Bring along your stuffie/favorite toy !! They’re your fren & wanna help u do the thing !!
♡ Play age-appropriate music & dance & sing along while u work !! This can make the thing feel less daunting & more silly & fun !!
♡ Have a kid-appropriate movie/tv show on in the background !! Just be sure to not get too distracted, little one !! ଘ(੭˃ᴗ˂)੭
♡ Ask your cg for a reward if u complete all da tingz !! Rewards can be things like regression time w them that night, sweets, etc !! If u don’t have a cg, thts totally ok !! U can also do these things solo !! ദ്ദി ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ )
♡ Make urself a snack/meal first !! Ik for me sometimes the energy boost is definitely needed !! Some age-appropriate foods can be apple slices w peanut butter/caramel, mac n cheese, milk in a baba, etc !! Just stay healthy little ones !!
♡ This one’s may be harder for some, but try calling another liddol fren/someone who supports your regression if you’ve got any !! I’m lucky enough to have this option, it’s ok if u don’t !! But sometimes talking to somebody helps me get up & at’em !!
♡ Play a regression podcast !! This one’s good for those of us tht may not have a cg/regression buddies to talk to !! When I’ve been cg-less these have rly rly helped me !! ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა

Happy Disability Pride Month!!!
Remember Folks:
- SELF CARE IS NUMBER ONE
- Use your spoons sparingly! Here’s some spoons to go: 🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄
- Clean your mobility aids! (Seriously dude when was the last time you wiped that shit down with an antibacterial?)
- Accommodate yourself, as others will follow.
- Make goals within your reach and abilities
- DO YOUR COPINGS SKILLS
- Remember to stay hydrated and take your meds!
- For my fellow heat sensitive homies, stay cool this summer! A cold rag draped behind your neck, airy clothing, a small portable hand fan, keeping ice packs ready, cold water and expecially cold electrolyte drinks, all do wonders!
- For my fellow autistic folks, don’t be afraid wear earmuffs, stim, use chew charms, whatever it is that helps you regulate. You don’t have to mask if it’s something that isn’t benefitting to your life.
- POTS havin mofos like me, salt the ever loving fuck out of your food. Try different foods with salt, such as fruits and vegetables! I’m currently eating a salty tomato. Drink lots of water, I’ve been aiding gateraid packets to my water and it’s made a HUGE difference, especially as someone who hates drinking water.
- Those with PTSD for whatever reason, I wish you safety and support as you learn to cope and hopefully heal.
- I don’t know exactly what to say to others with H-EDS, as I’m still understanding this disorder other then BE CAREFUL WITH YOURSELF THIS PRIDE MONTH. I swear to god we are the most accident prone mother fuckers lmfao-
- If your immune system is all fucky like mine, keep clean and be sanitary, communicate with others that if they’re sick you can’t be around them, and wear a mask if you feel like that’s the right option for you. In my hometown I’ve gotten yelled at more than once for wearing a mask post-covid, however you can’t let someone else’s ignorance result in your own suffering.
- Don’t forget to move around and stretch! A little movement can do a lot for your body.
- Check in with your disabled friends! Try and see if there’s any way you can help one another, see where both of your strengths and weaknesses lie, and swap some spoons!!
- Be aware of what triggers your disorders. Whether if it’s caffeine triggering bipolar episodes, the weather causing fibro flares, big changes causing meltdowns, overexerting your hypermobility, whatever it is, it matters. Listen to your body and mind.
- Don’t be afraid to call out that doctor who isn’t listening, dismissing your symptoms and medically gaslighting you.
- While it may not seem like a big difference for some, trust me when I say your appetite is so important! Remember if it comes down to it, that it’s better to eat something, ANYTHING, than nothing at all. 
- To that person who might be hesitant, ashamed or might be questioning wether or not they should use a mobility aid, if it’s the difference between you being stuck at home vs going out and living some life… USE THAT MOBILITY AID!!! Same goes for braces and any other tool that may help you live a better quality of life.
- Be accepting towards those with disabilities different then your own- remember this month isn’t a competition about who’s struggling the most, rather to understand that people of physical, psychological, sensory, neurodivergence, and even undiagnosed disabilities all share one thing in common.. WHICH IS BEING DISABLED!
- Doesn’t matter who you are, how young or old, black or white, thick or thin - the disabled minority is one you can end up becoming a part of at any time, and likely will if you live long enough. Disability doesn’t discriminate, so EVERYONE should be advocating for disabled people’s rights.
- And of course, have pride in being disabled. This shit is fucking hard, but if you’re reading this, you’re doing it. Just being here today and doing what you can handle or manage, is doing your best, and that’s enough. You don’t have to push yourselves to impossible lengths to be proud of yourself.

Scott McCall: in response to an extremely traumatic series of event in which my agency and bodily autonomy were wrenched out of my control at the age of 16, i am now tying my self-worth directly to the well-being of every single person in this town (including those who have repeatedly tried to kill or actively harm me) and if i ever ‘fail’ to save someone i probably deserve to die or suffer a bunch more than i already have :))). also, the narrative has emphasized at multiple points that i will sacrifice myself not only out of compassion but because of a deeper feeling of complete worthlessness in the face of my own limitations. i am desperately sidelining my own past as much as possible yet my PTSD is still shaping how i try to act out the values of kindness and mercy (sometimes to rigid or illogical extremes) because these qualities weren’t shown to me when i was at my most vulnerable. it feels like someone trapped a monster under my skin and even though i am trying to use my abilities for good, it’s still hard to unlearn the pure terror and pain that i associate with becoming a werewolf against my will :)))

Activism tip: Don't forget to take care of your health!
Activism is often physically and mentally demanding, so it's important that you take care of yourself! Here are some things to do:
As much as you can, try to eat nutritionally balanced foods!
Get exercise to build up your strength and endurance. (If you are disabled, search up safe exercises for people with your disability!)
Look after your mental health! Find coping strategies if you need them (you can learn DBT skills here) and take care to avoid burnout.
RealSocialSkills has a lot of practical advice for disabled people. There's also a lot of great advice for autistic people. (Keep in mind that the blog hasn't been posted to since 2020, so some posts refer to things in politics that already happened.)
If you're in the US, you can call 211 to find health resources!

gale takes every opportunity to gush about his spouse, and it goes without saying that even his students won't be spared from his rants at the mere mention of them. at first, it’s kind of endearing but eventually, the exasperation is etched into his student's faces. there is this air of mystery surrounding their new professor, which causes them to be more than a little intimidated. he is a (former) chosen of mystra? one of the saviors of baldur’s gate? AND he may or may not have a netherese orb lodged in his chest that can erupt at any given minute if he gets too agitated?! the first time one of his students asks him about his adventures and how they managed to defeat the netherbrain, he replies with his usual enthusiasm.
“ah, you wish to hear about our many escapades? worry not, it is only natural that my presence beguiles curiosity. i suppose there is no harm in indulging you. after all, who would i be if i didn't encourage knowledge in all forms? our world was turned upside down. quite literally on one occasion, mind you. we were thrown into chaos, we survived certain peril and destruction, but nonetheless persevered!” his students let him continue for several minutes, him passionately recounting their adventures. until another one pipes up and asks him if he can tell them more about the other heroes he traveled with and if he would be willing to introduce them sometime. he then gets that certain glint in his eyes (oh no, he’s been enabled).
“i certainly can! you see, my spouse inevitability, if not always voluntarily, assumed the role of the leader of our merry little band of misfits. without their guidance and immutable patience i most certainly wouldn’t stand here in front of you all today. their strength and unwavering tenacity are unmatched! they showed remarkable guile and courage throughout our adventures. shepherding each of us throughout these tumultuous times and guiding us onto a road of redemption, recovery, and healing. they were a beacon for us all. reminding us to take solace in our blossoming bonds during our darkest of times.. their presence and support are nothing short of a blessing. even now i marvel at the sheer good fortune that caused our paths to intertwine. they truly are the light of my life. in fact, during one occasion—“

- “indeed i am. although he has discarded that title by now. you see, my spouse—“
it eventually becomes common knowledge at blackstaff academy that the most efficient way to distract him from collecting assignments is to merely ask him about his partner.

So I've been reading a lot of fics where Tim thinks he's just a business partner instead of a family member, and while I love those fics it's so much angstier if he does believe he's family. Maybe he has absent parents, maybe he has bad parents, but I think either way he believes in love and family as good, precious things. Things he doesn't really understand.
(This got really long and very sad.)
So Tim reasons like this: Bruce is dad-shaped, when he's not grieving. So it's okay if he hurts Tim while he's grieving, because he'll love him later. His sixteenth birthday was just a test to make sure Tim can stay safe. It was love.
When Jason breaks into the Tower, Tim doesn't think he's mad at him for stealing his job. He isn't really listening, he's thinking You're my brother? Nice to meet you. He's thinking You love through pain? I can take pain.
When Damian tries to kill him, Tim thinks he loves like Jason, and sure, Jason gave him injuries that still hurt sometimes, and Damian prefers to make him fall which has terrified him since he watched the Grayson's fall. But it's okay, it's love. He knows it's love, because they're family.
And then Bruce 'dies' and Tim finds a pattern, and he tells Dick. The brother who loved in a way that's... softer. A way that wasn't scary or painful. And Dick doesn't believe him.
But that's love, right?
Because they're family, so this disbelief must be some type of love, way of caring, connection.
And then Damian comes out as Robin, and Tim finally listens when he's called an interloper. A thief. A charity case.
And Dick wants him to be Nightwing to Dick's Batman, when years ago he told Tim Nightwing would never belong to Batman.
Disbelief isn't love, it's part of something else.
So Tim goes away, and he rescues Bruce, and Dick catches him as he falls out a WE window. And the family is mending, so they want Tim back. And Tim accepts because there's no disbelief. So the love must be back.
But Jason and Damian stop hurting him physically. And Bruce doesn't test him. And Dick barely even asks him questions now, as if stopping opportunIties to disbelieve (he's actually just overcompensating by believing literally everything Tim says, including 15-energy-drinks-by-11-am Tim).
And Tim doesn't understand, because they're family. And his family doesn't love him like this.
Cue breakdown and tearful laying-out of his evidence that they don't love him anymore. Everyone else is horrified because yes we love you, but that wasn't love please tell me you understand-
