I never finished the telephone club stuff in 0 until today (currently replaying 0, trying to 100% the game) and like. actually. what the fuck was up with the bad-end telephone club dates. like. not even exaggerating, completely unironically, it is fully implied that kiryu got fucking raped. multiple times. as a joke. thatâs absolutely fucking wild
#itâs so fucking jarring#I mean kiryu is sexually assaulted all the damn time (mostly by women#because heâs a man so itâs okay :) ) but this is like. full-on implied rape.#unclear what kind in particular but thatâs really unimportant#it literally gets to the point where after one of them- a woman old enough to be his mom (mind you he is hardly even legal and definitely#not at the maturity of most 20 year olds in this area) forcibly takes him to a hotel and the next thing we see is him outside that hotel#with his health bar completely depleted keeled over like heâs exhausted and in physical pain/discomfort#muttering to himself âthat didnât happen. that didnât happen.â#like#this was?? played off like any other end-of-substory comedic moment#bitch that wasnât funny at all that was actually the most disturbing non-storyline scene ive seen in this entire game#he is straight up traumatized from being physically and sexually assaulted by someone twice his age and just has to shove it in the back of#his head and hope he forgets about it somehow because. well. heâs a man.#like wow weâre really just. gonna glide over that one huh#fucking christ dude#I seriously wonder how much that shit has haunted him and damaged his perception of physical affection/etc#anyway this is gonna linger in my head for a while#kiryu#rambling#yakuza 0#y0#kazuma kiryu#cw sa mention#cw sa

#wanna get back into toh but the bits and pieces of stuff ive seen on tumblr and ig is. rancid#the show will always be good and dear to my heart despite its flaws#but the fandom?#theyve sandpapered down luz and the lumity ship in general and removed anything that made them interesting#instead of focusing on any of the relationships between characters that they spent all show building up#instead theyre just spamming the tags with mindless h/u/n/t/l/o/w fluff#bc compulsory heterosexuality i guess#im sure there are still a lot of ppl who make great art and fics for toh#and im sure a lot of ppl are still having interesting discussions about parts of the show that i would want to talk about#however i go into the tags and am immediately assaulted with hunter and willow playing out hallmark movie scenes#and i immediately lose interest#tbh the crew played into this shit towards the end too and it felt super cringe#not just the huntlow stuff but also sanding away any of the bite with lumity or even the clawthorne sisters#and not doing anything with willow and gus except for one scene shoved in last minute#they were more interested in catering to fandom stuff than telling the actual story even if it turned out pretty alright in the end#this is just a problem with rly big fandoms mostly#this is what happened to star vs the forces of evil i think#dont quote me on that i stopped watching in season 3#anyway owl house good fandom bad#how dare fandom not cater to me specifically#i want to participate in fandom but i dont want to do the main activity of fandom#which is to sift through piles of garbage to find stuff that i actually like#shut up pandora

thinking more about tlou hbo and that ep2 cold open
while it was very good and effectively frightening.... with how theyve handled fedra/the fireflies so far im a little nervous they might be setting it up for the fireflies to be 100% in the wrong later instead of it being less clear cut like it was in the game...
#hbo tlou#what tlou fandom has been arguing over for a decade#which is annoying bc whether or not the vaccine works isnt even the point of the ending#also i have to keep in mind that we're getting part 2 as well so theyll have to set.... all of That up.....#the show has been very good but the parts i didnt like i Really didnt like#2/2 eps with endings that made me go đŹ#im really afraid about sam and henry do NOT fuck them up craig#also in regards to my last hbo tlou post:#to the people saying 'it was SUPPOSED to be uncomfortable' would they have done that with a male character? im not so sure#just weird to assault ur female character in her last moments regardless of the 'welcome to the colony' vibe u were going for#i said i didnt care that they swapped out fedra for the zombies but also its weird how theyre handling fedra#and it wouldve been good to see more conflict between fedra and the fireflies outside the qz#it speaks#ok i think ive talked abt my biggest gripes#there are smaller ones but im being kind bc overall its been very good#also knowing that tess's character had already gone through rewrites for the og game im not surprised they took liberties with her scene#also while the show has been very good i do still think the story/characters/pacing were handled better in the game#which i like actually like the show has been nice for new viewers but also new stuff for og fans#and the game is still just a cut above so its worth checking out for any new fans#the performances in the game......are just so incredible#from everyone#and the game has so much more subtlety lol#joel looking at his watch directly he might as well have just taken out a pic of sarah and started crying#the unconscious touch of the watch hits me harder than him just looking at it...#oopsie im talking about the little grievances#bro i just love subtlety and i feel like its being lost these days#subtext my beloved

¤byan has killed someone before. it's only happened once, and it was entirely in self-defense.
they were 14 when it happened. assaulted on the street by a grown man with no one around to step in, there was no real choice. they tried to fight him off and run, but he was twice their size and stronger than them. fortunately they've been in the habit of carrying a minimum of one knife on their person at all times for most of their life, so it made fighting back more possible. still, they hesitated at first to deal any lethal damage, opting more for warning swipes than stabs, but the man didn't relent â if anything, it only made him angrier. it quickly became clear that if they didn't kill him, he'd kill them, and byan sure as hell wasn't going to let themself die at the hands of some random asshole on the street.
ă
¤so they did it. they just started stabbing until they could pull themself free and get the hell out of there.
they'll never admit it, but the whole thing really fucked them up. after the initial fear and anger of the situation wore off and they were able to clean themself up, they couldn't stop thinking about it. the whole scene kept replaying in their head over and over, even when they wanted to stop thinking about it. they couldn't sleep that night. couldn't sleep properly for well over a month. uncharacteristically quiet and subdued for days, even weeks afterward, they never told anyone what happened. over and over they told themself they did what they had to, that the guy deserved it anyway, yet they never managed to truly feel okay about it, could never manage that same level of indifference they felt when they seriously injured people in fights.
they've come to accept it, to an extent, with time, but they still don't like to think about it. they'd love to be able to brag about it, to use the fact that they've killed someone for street cred and an extra layer of intimidation factor, but... they've never been able to feel okay with doing that. which is something they genuinely hate. it should make them feel stronger, yet they only feel weaker when they think back on it. so they try not to. they try to forget it ever happened and thus have still never told a soul about it. the glimpse they caught of his body over their shoulder as they fled, limp and bleeding on the ground, still haunts their dreams every now and then.
#been thinking about this for days tbh so i'm finally writing it down#tbh i used to hc they've actually never killed but liked to make it seem like they had#then i realized the trauma of the opposite was a little more interesting#anyway i now need them to admit it to someone one day#gonna need that painful scene in my life for sure#actually byan admitting to any of their trauma with someone they're close to would be huge#ââ Ë â° â° HEADCANON ⎠DANGER IN THE FABRIC OF THIS THING I MADE.#death cw#assault cw#violence cw#uhhh lmk if i should any any other cw tags

âif harry, who has every right to hate snape, can see that it was horrible and call out sirius and remus who he loves so much, why canât you?â
THIS. THIIIIIIISSSSS.
Harry was so upset over this memory of Snape. Even while thoroughly disliking Snape, he still could not comprehend why his father would do such a thing. Harry tried to make sense of it, to blame Snape, and yet could not! Because he himself said replied (heatedly mind you) to Sirius with "I'm fifteen." when Sirius (and sadly Lupin too, really) downplayed what happened.
For reference, I'll add under this cut excerpts from The Order of the Phoenix with the parts I believe most relevant as to how Harry was feeling and dealing with this situation:
(And what I've based a lot of my opinions on James, Sirius and Lupin (I still love you Lupin, your case is more complex.))
"He had no desire at all to return to Gryffindor Tower so early, nor to tell Ron and Hermione what he had just seen. What was making Harry feel so horrified and unhappy was not being shouted at or having jars thrown at him; it was that he knew how it felt to be humiliated in the middle of a circle of onlookers, knew exactly how Snape had felt as his father had taunted him, and that judging from what he had just seen, his father had been every bit as arrogant as Snape had always told him." Chapter 28, Snape's Worst Memory
"He felt as though the memory of it was eating him from inside. He had been so sure his parents were wonderful people that he had never had the slightest difficulty in disbelieving the aspersions Snape cast on his father's character. Hadn't people like Hagrid and Sirius told Harry how wonderful his father had been? (Yeah, well, look what Sirius was like himself, said a nagging voice inside Harry's head ... he was as bad, wasn't he?) Yes, he had once overheard Professor McGonagall saying that his father and Sirius had been troublemakers at school, but she had described them as forerunners of the Weasley twins, and Harry could not imagine Fred and George dangling someone upside-down for the fun of it ... not unless they really loathed them ... perhaps Malfoy or somebody who really deserved it .
Harry tried to make a case for Snape having deserved what he had suffered at James's hands: but hadn't Lily asked, 'What's he done to you?' And hadn't James replied, 'It's more the fact that he exists, if you know what I mean.' Hadn't James started it all simply because Sirius had said he was bored? Harry remembered Lupin saying back in Grimmauld Place that Dumbledore had made him prefect in the hope that he would be able to exercise some control over James and Sirius ... but in the Pensieve, he had sat there and let it all happen ...
Harry kept reminding himself that Lily had intervened; his mother had been decent. Yet, the memory of the look on her face as she had shouted at James disturbed him quite as much as anything else; she had clearly loathed James, and Harry simply could not understand how they could have ended up married. Once or twice he even wondered whether James had forced her into it ..."
[...]
"Lupin returned with Sirius at his heels moments later.
'What is it?' said Sirius urgently, sweeping his long dark hair out of his eyes and dropping to the ground in front of the fire, so that he and Harry were on a level. Lupin knelt down too, looking very concerned. 'Are you all right? Do you need help?'
'No,' said Harry, 'it's nothing like that ... I just wanted to talk ... about my dad.'
They exchanged a look of great surprise, but Harry did not have time to feel awkward or embarrassed; his knees were becoming sorer by the second and he guessed five minutes had already passed from the start of the diversion; George had only guaranteed him twenty. He therefore plunged immediately into the story of what he had seen in the Pensieve.
When he had finished, neither Sirius nor Lupin spoke for a moment. Then Lupin said quietly, 'I wouldn't like you to judge your father on what you saw there, Harry. He was only fifteen--'
'I'm fifteen,' said Harry heatedly.
'Look, Harry' said Sirius placatingly, 'James and Snape hated each other from the moment they set eyes on each other, it was just one of those things, you can understand that, can't you? I think James was everything Snape wanted to be--he was popular, he was good at Quidditch--good at pretty much everything. And Snape was just this little oddball who was up to his eyes in the Dark Arts, and James--whatever else he may have appeared to you, Harry--always hated the Dark Arts.'
'Yeah,' said Harry, 'but he just attacked Snape for no good reason, just because--well, just because you said you were bored,' he finished, with a slightly apologetic note in his voice.
'I 'm not proud of it,' said Sirius quickly.
Lupin looked sideways at Sirius, then said, 'Look, Harry, what you've got to understand is that your father and Sirius were the best in the school at whatever they did-- everyone thought they were the height of cool--if they sometimes got a bit carried away--'
'If we were sometimes arrogant little berks, you mean,' said Sirius.
Lupin smiled.
'He kept messing up his hair,' said Harry in a pained voice.
Sirius and Lupin laughed.
'I'd forgotten he used to do that,' said Sirius affectionately.
'Was he playing with the Snitch?' said Lupin eagerly.
'Yeah,' said Harry, watching uncomprehendingly as Sirius and Lupin beamed reminiscently. 'Well ... I thought he was a bit of an idiot.' "
[...]
'How come she married him?' Harry asked miserably. 'She hated him!'
'Nah, she didn't,' said Sirius.
'She started going out with him in seventh year,' said Lupin.
'Once James had deflated his head a bit,' said Sirius.
'And stopped hexing people just for the fun of it,' said Lupin.
'Even Snape?' said Harry.
'Well,' said Lupin slowly, 'Snape was a special case. I mean, he never lost an opportunity to curse James so you couldn't really expect James to take that lying down, could you?'
'And my mum was OK with that?'
'She didn't know too much about it, to tell you the truth,' said Sirius. 'I mean, James didn't take Snape on dates with her and jinx him in front of her, did he?'
Sirius frowned at Harry, who was still looking unconvinced.
'Look,' he said, 'your father was the best friend I ever had and he was a good person. A lot of people are idiots at the age of fifteen. He grew out of it.'
'Yeah, OK,' said Harry heavily. 'I just never thought I'd feel sorry for Snape.' Chapter 29, Careers Advice
the one thing that will always make me furious is the way marauders fans downplay what happened in snape's worst memory. they had snape in the air, in front of a whole crowd, and exposed his underwear to everyone obviously against his will, then threatened to remove that too - which we have no reason to presume they didn't do. james was riled up and being cheered on, there was nobody there to stop him, no teachers nearby and we all know that remus wasn't going to say anything even though he was a prefect.
that is a form of sexual harassment, even if the underwear did stay on, and regardless of intention. and if you still can't see it, imagine how it would look if snape had been a girl. not a prank or joke or argument. call it what it actually was!
there is just simply no excuse for it either. snape was not a death eater, he hadn't done anything to them. he was a child simply sitting under a tree and minding his own business. and i truly believe that this is part of why it was his worst memory - yes, partially because he lost lily in this scene, but that's not the only reason. what happened here could leave anyone traumatised. he did not deserve that, in fact nobody does. this scene already disgusted me the first time i read the books way before i even liked snape. hell, it disgusted harry too. if harry, who has every right to hate snape, can see that it was horrible and call out sirius and remus who he loves so much, why can't you?
#severus snape#i will die on that hill#sorry for the hella long add to this post#this in particular is something i feel very strongly about (if it wasn't obvious)#bullying. assault. humiliation are NEVER okay and I could write a whole mf essay about that specific scene#actually I could write a whole essay on all of the âpranksâ that were done to Severus and point out the correct terminology#both for what was happening and how it could affect a person#someday ill make a whole rant#and like honestly#I'm not hating on the marauders#I WISH i could like them and that era!!!#but almost every memory or flashback throughout the book made me so uncomfortable that I genuinely could not#I don't hate any of the characters tho. I just have a lot of opinions on them#so like not really...#antimarauders#?#but I definitely understand how it can come across as such#however definitely#pro severus snape#pro snape#harry potter#too#Snape's Worst Memory#this lives rent free in my mind in one of the worst ways possible tbh

when i say percy is one of the only people in the world who will stand up to annabeth or call her wrong, i do NOT mean sheâs a horrible person and he calls her out for being one. allow me to write a long incorrect quote scene to show you what i actually mean:
*in some battle, post-heroes of olympus*
annabeth, fiercely in control and leaning over a large map: okay, hereâs whatâs gonna happen, everyone. we are going to evenly distribute our forces and deploy them in successive waves. we must avoid further division to ensure that each wave remains strong and concentrated on the central target. we are going to systematically weaken their core. once their primary fleet becomes depleted, we will expand our focus to engage secondary targets. we will defeat brute force by gradually eroding their strength over the course of several hours. anyone got a problem with that plan?
everyone in the strategy tent, including the smartest children of mars and athena:
annabeth: thatâs what i thought. okay so-
percy: actually, i do
*everyoneâs eyes widen in surprise*
annabeth, raising her eyebrows: what do you mean?
everyone: *backing away slowly in fear of her wrath*
percy: i get what youâre saying, and usually youâd be exactly right. but i know these guys better than you do, wise girl. iâve actually been here and fought a couple of them before. yes, they are insanely physically strong creatures, but youâre overestimating their intelligence and positioning. if we do what youâre saying, theyâll just pick us off little by little. we need to be quick and dirty. force their hand
annabeth, pinching the bridge of her nose: percy, youâre talking about a full frontal assault on their strongest point. thatâs reckless. weâll be outnumbered and overwhelmed.
percy, stepping closer to the map and pointing to the terrain: not if we use their terrain, which i personally know. if we concentrate our forces here and here, we can create the illusion of a weaker center. theyâre crazy strong, but much more arrogant than youâre assuming. so knowing them, theyâll all focus on our main assault, assume they have us outnumbered, and put all their energy into trying to punch through. but if weâve got our best fighters hidden in the valleys, instead of holding back, we can hit them from both sides once they commit
annabeth, her brow furrowing as she considers percyâs plan: weâd be baiting them into a trap. theyâd think theyâre winning, but the second they overextend, we surround them. they wonât see it coming because of the way their ranks are arranged.
percy: exactly
annabeth: itâs based off the assumption of their own tactical shortcomings, but⌠itâs brilliant. come here and show me all the pathways, and iâll plan for the side attacks. do you have any advice there?
percy: nope, i need you for that part
*them working seamlessly together as everyone else stands around in shock*
#percy is the only human being who will call her wrong#and heâs also the only one who sheâll listen to#because THEY ARE A TEAM#heâs smart asf#and she knows it#they need each other#theyâre better together#STOP SAYING PERCY JACKSON IS DUMB#AND STOP SAYING ANNABETH IS A HORRIBLE PERSON#percy jackson#annabeth chase#percabeth#pjo#heroes of olympus#percy jackson and the olympians#rick riordan#riordanverse#hoo incorrect quotes#incorrect quotes

mouthwashing post. jimmy is a raging narcissist and im tired of people trying to give him benefit of the doubt. his inability to see two feet beyond what immediately concerns him dooms everyone on the tulpar, and even in the end, he only really cares about himself.
big list of all his narcisstic bullshit below bc im here to motherfucking prove it (mouthwashing spoilers of course)
most obviously: everything is a personal attack on him. EVERYTHING. you can see it most clearly at the birthday party; while everyone else is understandably freaking out about being laid off, jimmy starts telling curly off and insulting both him and everyone else at the table, as if being laid off is a personal attack on jimmy specifically. it doesnât matter that anya has nothing to go back to, that swanseaâs life is thrown away- jimmy is the ONLY victim here, apparently. curly is personally responsible for getting laid off, in his eyes.
i donât actually know the words for this but the way heâs constantly going âi have to do EVERYTHING around hereâ- again, feeling like its a personal attack to be asked anything at all. anya asks him to take care of curly because her entire fucking life is falling apart, its her end of days, but somehow shes the villain for struggling.
also the general antagonization of anya. sheâs extremely competent for the hand she was dealt! shes too poor to attend med school yet shes very knoqledgable in medication and wound care! and yeah no shit shes struggling now, someone she cared deeply about is suffering immensely and now the ship is being ârunâ by a man who assaulted her. no fucking shit shes breaking down. but jimmy makes it clear time and time again that this is somehow her fault, all this shit of âshouldnât nurses EARN their titles?â while sheâs having a mental breakdown.
similarly, swansea being villainized for holding the cryopod for daisuke and killing him. like, i get it, but jimmyâs whole thing of saying he can fix daisuke is⌠câmon man. heâs a hero to himself, he âalwaysâ fixes things the same way he âfixedâ the ship, and he will fix daisuke and claim heroism even though itâs very clear nothing else can be done for him.
âsomeday youâll thank meâ while forcing curly to eat his own leg. the incredible confidence that he is in the right even when literally torturing someone.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: the final scene with curly burning. jimmy doesnât earnestly believe he has anything to be sorry for. even when apologizing to curly he says âwe can BOTH be heroes!â despite everything, he still thinks heâs in the right. he STILL thinks heâs a hero, because heâs right, heâs ALWAYS right, surely. he can apologize and grovel all he wants but in the end he still thinks heâs the hero of this story; he doesnât genuinely think he has anything to right, heâs only doing this to be freed of consequence. and/or believes a simple âsorryâ is enough, that it can fix completely ruining the lives of four people with his own inferiority complex.
i do think the choice to put curly in the pod instead of himself is the only time he recognizes his own guilt, if any. maybe itâs realizing that he DOES need something more than a simple âsorryâ to even begin to try to fix things, maybe itâs that he thinks this will cement him even further as a hero. even then, does this fix anything? all itâs doing is making curly suffer more. is this actually a good thing?
to him, heâs the hero here. he always is. crashing the ship is a heroic thing, putting all his crewmates through hell is a heroic thing. all because something nobody can control is somehow a personal attack on jimmy.
not to mention all the âhallucinationsâ he has- itâs what he thinks should happen, itâs what he wants to hear. curly still calling him a friend, the dead corpses of his crewmates praising him, even in the final cutscene with curly burning where he says âno, YOU take the podâ. none of itâs real. itâs just what jimmy thinks is ârightâ. despite everything, he thinks everyone should thank and praise him, because he can do no wrong.
conclusion: jimmy is a narcisstic piece of shit.
#mouthwashing#mouthwashing game#sorry not sorry for being so incredibly fucking passionate abt this#its partially bc. if im being real! i see a lot of my narcisstic mother in jimmy. like almost one to one#so im really really angry abt him.

PORN STâ°R!BF
my horny self is writing final exams yet i am doing this. also, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND THE CONTINUATION OF ME WRITING, COMMENT! <3 also taking requests
Okay so he happens to work in the adult entertainment industry. Widely known despite being a male porn star.
Of course, you masturbate quite often to videos of him especially. In your bed, hand in your underwear rubbing at your clit, listening to his breathy moans through your earphones. He looked so good sliding his cock in and out of her. Having his hand grip her hips and the other around her throat. God, you wish that were you.
You getting off on his videos is quite common. He travels a lot naturally, which means your left alone, for days even weeks. You couldnât help yourself. He caught you eventually and embarrassingly so. You had come late from work tired and pent up. Your earphones were nowhere to be found and phone in the charger. Like a teenage boy you went on your laptop on your desk lowered the volume to 56% and searched his name, incognito mode of course.
You found a video of him fucking someone that resembled you. Hands immediately on your clit when fast forward to him actually fucking her. The video as always focused more on the woman, but the sight of his cock alone got you off. When his face would come into frame or heâd speak youâd get hotter, go faster. You were so engrossed in the scene that you didnât hear the bedroom door opening. âBaby?â he stood suitcase in hand. His face twisted from a confused expression to that of deviance.
He caught you. Hand in shorts and his moans sounding from your laptop. You moved to shut the laptop quickly but whatâd that do exactly? He already saw you.
âDonât drop the phone baby.â He got you on the bed with your legs spread open. Your laptop was left on your desk and replaced by his. Moans echoed through the room (yours included) as you watched your boyfriend fuck the actress prone. He, of course, was behind, his fingers plunging in and out of your wet cunt. The sheets were damp with your cum. Youâd lost count how many times you came. After each one heâd just continue locking you in his arms and resuming his assault on your clit and cunt.
Eventually, heâd let you switch positions. He had you on your stomach. When you laid on your arm, he pulled gently at your hair lifting your head. âWatch. Thought you liked seeing me fuck her. That cockâs about to fuck you now.â Heâd go ridiculously slow just to toy with you. Impulsively grab a handful of your big ass and watch as it jiggles with each stroke.

Sabo analysis time!!!!
Do you guys ever think about how Sabo didn't visit Dressrosa to see Luffy again? And him meeting up with Luffy was probably his very last option to secure the fruit, otherwise he would probably avoid it? Cuz i doâŚ
Let me elaborate.
So here's what we know from the source material:
We know Sabo and the other revolutionaries were there since the early morning since Hack was already inside the coliseum for RevArmy snooping reasons.
The prize of the Tournament was revealed after the Revs were already there.
Sabo/Koala were not in contact with Robin to know if the straw hats were anywhere near Dressrosa as seen by Koala saying "I hear Robin-sanâs here in this country, too."
Sabo confronted Luffy about getting the Mera-Mera No Mi only after Hack lost during Block B and Luffy got out of his own block.
I had always assumed that Sabo showed up to Dressrosa for the Mera-Mera No Mi and meeting Luffy, but that really isn't the case. Idk why it took me so long to figure that out, itâs literally shown in the Episode of Sabo (EOS) explicitly. Although, the EOS isn't exactly source material. I cant find anywhere stating whether its canon or not, but I cant find anything that would have it conflict with the original plot so i see no reason why it wouldnât be. All that evidence from before is canon though so even without the EOS, this claim still holds water.
Speaking more of the evidence we have from of the episode of Sabo, we see him snooping around the Colosseum during the tournament, we see the moment he realizes that Luffy is participating in the event, and we see the moment he realizes that Luffy cant participate any further.
Like look at him here. He looks absolutely unprepared for what he knows he has to do. And after this in the scene right before he starts talking with Luffy, heâs like literally walking to him as slowly as he possibly can. Taking pauses in his stride to probably think about how much of a bad idea this is.
Plus, at the beginning of the episode when heâs visiting Aceâs grave, he says âI guess both you and Luffy are both mad at me.â
Sabo has had so many opportunities to meet up with Luffy before he actually does, both in Dressrosa and since he regains his memory. But he doesnt. Because he cant. Because heâs terrified of being met with scorn, anger, or even violence from his beloved little brother.
Finally, we see him plucking up the courage to walk over to luffy. All surroundings are silent besides the loud footsteps coming from his approach echoing in the hallway.
Step. Step. Step. Step. Step. Step. Step. Step.
Then he stops.
Its dead quiet.
Sabo has been pretty much deadpan this entire time, but he then smiles before he says
âI wont let you have the Mera Mera No Mi, âStraw hatâ Luffy.â
This is a fairly serious thing that heâs saying to this man in a fake beard and outrageous helmet, and heâs terrified of this meeting with his brother, but he cant help but smile when heâs talking with him.
The conversation that continues is very confrontational, but suddenly something clicks in Luffyâs mind. His body relaxes from itâs tense posture, he starts to tear up, his speech slows,
Then he starts to scream with recognition.
Thatâs his big brother.
Heâs aliveâŚ
Heâs Alive!!!
Heâs here! Right here! Right where he should be!
Alive. Living. Free!
Luffy GRABS Saboâs face and propels himself towards him. Suffocating and probably giving his brother whiplash in that second within that assault-hug.
All of a sudden, Saboâs fears of scorn, anger and violence all wash away.
Luffy loves him.
They have each other now.
And now, Sabo is on his way to get that god damn fruit.
Sabo absolutely didnât think he was ready for this re-connection, but heâs so glad he went through with it.
He has his brother back, his other brotherâs powers, and the bragging rights of being able to flaunt both.
This is what I'm sayin with the "seems like fire favors these brothers" post I made. The fact that both the mera mera no mi and Luffy and Sabo were all in the same place to come together at once is a crazy coincidence. How many coincidences does it take, for a happenstance to be Fate? Probably that amount.
In conclusion:
Get this man a therapist. Please.

Thank you for reading my ramblings about a fictional man. I think about him a completely average amount.

JIN ENJOJI X READER | non-consensual clothing removal. implied assault. slight manga spoilers about Jiji. 3.4k wc
âWanna go out and stargaze?â Thatâs what Jiji said before the both of you were chased down by blood sucking aliens. âIâm never going out stargazing with you again!â you screamed at his ear as the both of you ran away from the aliens. âIâm sorryyy!â
âHey, gimme that crab leg!â Momo yelled, as she tried to take a plate from grandma Seiko.
âQuit it kid, I paid for this!â
The two brawled at the table, leaving you, Okarun and Turbo Granny trying to eat peacefully.
Okarun let out a sight, glancing between Momo and Grandma Seiko as they wrestled over the crab leg. Plates clattered and the table shook under the petty chaos but neither of them showed any sign of backing down.
âYou guys do this every time,â Okarun muttered, shaking his head as he poked his food. âCanât we have a normal meal?â
You could only shake your head, while Turbo Granny cackled beside him, already halfway through a plate stacked high with food for a small lucky cat. âLet âem fight! Adds flavor to the meal!â she said, her sharp toothy grin stretching wide as she shoved more food into her mouth.
Momo finally managed to grab the crab leg, only for Seiko to counter by whacking her on the head with her hand.
âOw! Thatâs dirty fighting!â Momo protested, rubbing her head.
âAllâs fair in love and seafood!â Seiko shot back, snatching the crab leg back on triumph. âThis is mine!â
Okarun sighed, again, pushing his plate away. âIâm starting to think I shouldâve stayed home.â
âMomo, you can take my crab leg instead.â you pushed your plate towards her, her eyes shined like stars as she hugged you.
âMy only loving cousin who is blood related to me actually cares for me, unlike that hag over there!â
âWho you sayinâ hag, huh?!â
âOw ow ow! My ear!â
Both of them started bickering again, you could only give Okarun a small apology for seeing your family like this. He shyly waved it off, taking his food again and continued eating again. Before you could take a bite of your food, you heard a knock on the door. You quietly excused yourself as the both still brawled as you walked towards the door to see whoâs outside at this hour. Opening it, you were greeted by a familiar face.
âHello, kawaii-chan!â Jiji greeted you with a smile.
âJiji! Why are you out here at this hour?â you asked, surprised by his visit.
He took something from his back and showed a plastic bag.
âMom asked me to give this to your auntââ
âGrandma.â
âG-grandma, she made too many and we couldnât finish it with just the three of us so we got the extras for you!â
You gratefully took the plastic bag from Jiji, âDo you want to come in?â
âUhhh actually⌠I wanna ask you if you wanna stargaze, tonight.â he looked away, pink blush coloring his cheeks. But you somehow didnât notice.
âOh, sure! Iâll put this inside and changeââ
âBut your clothes are decent enough though,â Jiji interrupted, pointing at your uniform.
He wasnât wrong. Youâre still in your school uniform since you usually eat first before changing into pajamas.
You shrugged, âSure, Iâll tell Granny that Iâll go out.â
You offered Jiji to enter the house even joining in the dining area with the four but he politely refused.Â
Upon entering the dining room, the scene hadnât changed much. Momo and Seiko were still bickering, their voices loud enough to echo through the house. Okarun however, was now unconscious on the floor with a bump on his head and Turbo Granny laughing.
You sighed, shaking your head as you placed the bag on the table, âOi, Iâll be going out with Jiji tonight. Donât do anything weird at this house.â
Before they could even give you a response, youâve already left.
âThat was quick.â Jiji said as you were putting your shoes on.
âNah, they were fighting over a crab leg so I just told them Iâm going out with you and left.â you responded, taking a step outside the house.
âSo, where are we goinâ?â
The cliff overlooked Kamikoshi City, the entire landscape spread out beneath you like a glowing painting. The city lights sparkled across the skyline, casting a soft glow over the distant buildings and streets. Each flicker and glimmer seemed to pulse with life, creating a breathtaking view that drew a gasp from you.
âThis is⌠amazing,â you murmured, feeling the cool night breeze brush against your skin. The vastness of it all, the contrast between the peaceful night sky and the bustling city below, was overwhelming in the best way.
Jiji stood beside you, hands in his pockets, smiling at your reaction. âYeah, I thought youâd like it,â he said, before stepping closer.
He then placed his hand on your head, tilting it upward. âBut look at this,â he added. Above, the stars twinkled like tiny diamonds scattered across the midnight sky, their light seemingly to pulse with an ethereal glow.Â
The sight was mesmerizing, the stars stretching endlessly into the distance. âHoly shitâŚâ you whispered, captivated by the beauty of the midnight sky.
Jiji chuckled softly beside you, lowering his hand. âTold you.â
As your eyes glued at the sky, Jiji cleared his throat. âUh, I have something to say to you,â he mumbled.
âHm?â You pulled your gaze away from the sky, turning to face him. The sight that greeted you was unexpectedâJijiâs face was flushed a deep red, like heâd just stepped out of a sauna. His usual carefree demeanor was replaced with visible tension, and he couldnât quite meet your eyes.
You raised an eyebrow, curious. âWhatâs up?â
Jiji fidgeted, rubbing the back of his neck. âI⌠uhâŚâ He trailed off, his nervousness intensifying. His usual confidence seemed to evaporate in the cool night air, leaving him at a loss for words.
âJijiââ
You paused mid-sentence, your heart suddenly racing as you caught sight of something lurking behind Jiji. A faint, blue glow flickered in the shadows of the trees, two piercing eyes that seemed to watch you intently.
Your breath hitched in your throat, and you instinctively took a step back, feeling a chill run down your spine. He turned, following your gaze, and his expression shifted from confusion to alarm as he spotted the glowing eyes.
âWhat the hell is that?â Jiji muttered, his flusterness momentarily vanishing.
The eyes narrowed, and you could feel a sense of dread creeping closer. Whatever it was, it wasnât friendly. You instinctively moved closer to Jij.
He felt you draw closer. Without thinking, he turned and pulled you behind him, his grip firm as he shielded you with his body. His grip on you never loosened.
Before either of you could react, a long, metallic tentacle shot out from the shadows, wrapping around your ankle. Panic surged through you as it yanked you off your feet, dragging you towards the darkness of the trees.
âHey! No!â Jiji shouted, instinctively lunging forward but the distance was too great.
You clawed at the dirt, desperate not to be dragged into the unknown. While you were being dragged, you saw a branch. Quickly taking it, you then jabbed it to the tentacle resulting in letting you go.
Footsteps quickly went up to you and held both of your arms and helped you stand up to your feet.
Jiji huffed, âWe need to get out of hereââ
Before he could finish his sentence, another tentacle shot out from the shadows, snaking around his waist and lifting him off the ground. He let out a startled gasp, eyes wide with shock as he dangled helplessly in the air.
âJiji!â you screamed, your heart racing as panic surged through you. You reached out instinctively, but the distance between you felt overwhelming.
As the creature stepped out of the shadows, your breath caught in your throat. It was a metallic alien, its body shimmering under the faint moonlight, revealing a sleek, elongated form covered in glinting scales. Its eyes glowed with a menacing blue light, illuminating its sharp, angular features.
âFoolish humans,â it spoke, its voice echoing unnaturally, reverberating in the still night air. âI need female blood to sustain myself⌠and a male genital. How lucky I am.â
âWhatâs with you aliens and private parts!â you shouted.
âPower,â it responded wickedly, sending shivers down your spine. âNow shut up, this wonât hurt.â
Before you could react, it lunged another tentacle toward you. It was too fast, ensnaring both of your arms and lifting you off the ground. You gasped, feeling the grip tighten around you like a vise.
Jiji's eyes widened in horror as he struggled against his own restraints. âLet her go!â he shouted with desperation, his voice breaking through the tension in the air.
The metallic alien turned its glowing gaze toward him, its expression unreadable but its intent clear. âSilence!â it hissed, the tentacles around you tightening as it drew you closer to its maw, the cold metal brushing against your skin.
As it drew nearer, the alien grumbled, âYour clothes are useless; the more skin exposed, the more places I can draw blood.â
With a swift motion, it tore the top of your uniform, leaving you exposed down to your bra. You gasped, horror and anger washing over you. âMy uniform!â you shouted, kicking your legs frantically in a desperate attempt to break free. âYou perv! That cost my weekâs allowance!â
The alienâs glowing eyes narrowed, its metallic form looming over you with a chilling satisfaction. âDo not concern yourself with such trivial matters. Your pain will only serve to nourish me.â
âShut up!â you spat back, anger rising within you. âYou think you can just take whatever you want? I wonât let you!â
The alien ignored your words as it revealed more tentacles at its back, shutting you up in the process. This is it, it is your end.
You squeezed your eyes shut, bracing yourself for the pain you feared would come. Instead, to your shock, the alien released its grip on your arms, and you fell into someoneâs waiting embrace.
âGotcha!â came a familiar voice, warm and reassuring. You opened your eyes to see Jiji holding you securely in his arms.
âJiji?! Howââ
âI trained under your aunâ I mean your grandma without needing the evil eye!â he declared, a grin breaking through the tension as he tightened his grip on you.
You remembered he did train under Granny Seiko. You looked at the side where the unconscious alien was and saw the ground dented.
Before you could speak, a blast cut you off not far from your position. You froze, heart racing as a UFO descended from the sky, its tentacles swaying ominously at its sides. To your horror, more aliensâsimilar to the one that had attacked you bothâpoured out of the craft, their glowing eyes scanning the area as they began to advance.
âWe need to run! WE NEED TO RUN!â you screamed, adrenaline surging through you. You jumped out of Jijiâs arms and grabbed his hand, yanking him into a sprint.
The two of you dashed through the underbrush, branches whipping against your skin as you navigated the chaotic terrain. The sounds of the aliens behind you echoed in the night air, their guttural growls mixing with the rustle of leaves and the pounding of your heart.
You were now being chased by blood sucking aliens.
âIâm never going out stargazing with you again!â you screamed at his ear as the both of you ran away from the aliens.
âIâm sorryyy!â he cried out loud.
Jijiâs legs burned as he pushed himself to keep pace with you, heart racing more from fear than the sprint itself. âHow was I supposed to know theyâd come out of nowhere?â he wailed, his voice cracking as another alien screeched behind you.
You glanced over your shoulder just in time to see one of the blood-sucking aliens close in, its grotesque, tentacles stretching unnaturally fast. âLess talking, more running!â you yelled, grabbing Jijiâs arm to yank him forward as he tripped over a rock.
âI really didnât mean for this to happen,â he huffed, his breath ragged from the frantic sprint. âI just wanted us to have a chill night, look at the stars, maybe talk aboutââ
A sharp, hissing sound interrupted his apology as another alien leaped from a nearby tree, its glowing blue eyes locking onto both of you.
âSave it for after we survive!â you barked, dragging him down to the road you both took when you hiked to the cliff. Your heart pounded in your chest, adrenaline coursing through your veins as the aliens screeched louder, closing in from every direction.
Jiji stumbled again, nearly pulling you down with him. âWhy do these things always happen when we hang out?!â
âI donât know! But maybe we should stop hanging out!â you yelled, half-joking as you pushed yourself harder. Your legs burned, but the fear of those creatures fueled you.
A blast of energy hit the ground beside you, sending dirt and debris into the air. You barely dodged it, pulling Jiji out of harm's way. The cliff edge loomed nearby, but there was no time to admire the view.
âWe need a plan!â Jiji shouted, glancing back at the approaching aliens. âWe canât outrun them forever!â
âYou can do that laser beam shit right?!â you said, âI havenât fully controlled my powers unlike Momo but I can push them into one line and you can blast them!â
Jiji's eyes widened as he stumbled, nearly tripping over a branch in his shock. âW-What?! I havenât exactly mastered that yet!â
âWe donât have a choice!â you interrupted, yanking him back on track. âIâll line them up. Just focus!â
The screeches from the aliens were growing louder, closer. You could practically feel their cold, metallic presence nipping at your heels.
âAlright,â Jiji huffed, swallowing his fear. âBut if we die, Iâm blaming you!â
You threw him a sharp look, âJust concentrate!â
Gathering your breath, you dug deep into your energy reserves, feeling a familiar warmth surge through your veins. You pivoted, locking your focus on the swarm of aliens behind you. With a fierce shove of your hand, you forced the air around them to compress, pushing them into a tight line like bowling pins. They writhed and screeched in response, tentacles flailing in resistance, but you held them there, your heart pounding from the strain.
âNow, Jiji!â you yelled, sweat beading down your forehead.
Jiji planted his feet, his expression grim as he raised his trembling hands toward the creatures. The familiar energy crackled around his palms, flickering uncertainty. For a second, you thought it wouldnât work, but thenâ
A beam of bright energy shot from his palms, exploding into the air with a deafening roar. The blast surged forward, striking the trapped aliens and sending a shockwave that lit up the entire forest.
When the dust settled, the screeching had stopped. Only silence remained.
Jiji, breathless and wide-eyed, turned to you, a mix of awe and disbelief on his face. âDid⌠did that really just work?â
You exhaled heavily, releasing the tension in your body as you slumped down on a nearby rock. âBarely,â you muttered, staring at the smoking crater where the aliens once stood. "But weâre alive, so Iâll take it."
Jiji collapsed beside you, laughing weakly. âI need a nap.â
âHey,â you raised the upper part of your body and faced him, âWe need to go home first.â
He looked at you, then his eyes looked down. There was this unexplainable reaction from him as his face turned red again and looked away.
âHuh? Whatâs the matter?â
âYou donât have a top onâŚâ
Your eyes widened as you followed Jijiâs gaze, realizing that your torn uniform had been left in shambles from the earlier attack. Heat flooded your cheeks as you instinctively crossed your arms over your chest.
âJ-Jiji!â you sputtered, glaring at him as you quickly tried to cover yourself. âWhy didnât you say something sooner?!â
âIâI didnât want to make it weird!â Jiji stammered, his face a deep shade of red as he kept his eyes firmly averted, staring intently at a nearby rock. âI mean, we were fighting for our lives! There wasnât really time toââ
âUgh, justâturn around or something!â you snapped, completely mortified.
Jiji awkwardly spun on his heel, back facing you as he rubbed the back of his neck. âRight, right! Sorry, my bad!â
You groaned in frustration but couldnât help the small laugh that bubbled up despite the embarrassment. âThis has officially been the weirdest night ever.â
âAgreed,â Jiji muttered, still bright red. âHere,â he draped his jacket over you.
You blinked in surprise as Jiji draped his jacket over your shoulders, the fabric still warm from his body.
âThanks,â you muttered, pulling it tighter around yourself. The jacket was oversized on you, the sleeves dangling past your hands, but it was much better than nothing.
Jiji rubbed the back of his neck again, his usual energy replaced by an awkward tension. âNo problem. I, uh, didnât want you to be uncomfortable.â
You nodded, you then remembered something. âOh yeah, you wanted to say something?â you said, looking up to him.
Jiji froze for a moment, his eyes widening slightly as if he had forgotten all about what he had planned to say. His face turned red, again, and avoided eye contact, glancing everywhere except at you.
âUh⌠yeah,â he mumbled, scratching the back of his head nervously. âI⌠I wanted to tell you something earlier, before, you knowââ he gestured vaguely at the destroyed cliffside and the direction the aliens had fled.
You raised an eyebrow, curious. âBefore the aliens attacked?â
âYeah,â he nodded, taking a deep breath as if he were trying to summon all of his courage. âI just... I didnât get the chance because of all the chaos, but Iâve been meaning to tell you for a while now.â
You waited, your heart pounding slightly. âTell me what?â
Jiji glanced at you briefly, then quickly looked away again. âI⌠I like you,â he finally blurted out, his voice rushed but genuine. âLike, more than just friends.â
âItâs almost midnight, where the hell is she?â Momo grunted, worry laced in her annoyed voice. âShe havenât exactly masââ
A knock on the door cut Momo off, she hurriedly ran to the door and opened. Momo's eyes widened at the sight of you standing there, wrapped in Jijiâs oversized jacket, while Jiji stood awkwardly behind you, shirtless and looking very out of place. Her mouth hung open for a second, taking in the bizarre scene before her.
âWhat theâ?â Momo blurted, her annoyance quickly shifting to shock. âWhere the hell have you two been?!â she then looked at Jiji, âAnd why are you half-naked?!â
You were too tired to speak, but you forced yourself anyway. âLong story⌠involving aliens. Again.â
Jiji scratched the back of his head, clearly embarrassed. âI can explain, but itâs not what it looks like!â
Momo crossed her arms, her expression a mix of disbelief and concern. âYouâd better explain fast, because this is getting ridiculous.â
You pushed your cousin inside the house, âWeâll do that tomorrow, itâs super late.â
âOkay fine,â Momo huffed, âIâll leave you two alone.â
As Momo disappeared into the house, you turned back to Jiji, exhaustion weighing on your shoulders. The events of the night were still catching up to you, and it felt like you could collapse at any moment.
Jiji shifted uncomfortably under your gaze, his face still slightly flushed. âSo⌠would you still stargaze with me?â he said with a weak chuckle, trying to ease the tension.
âOf course, though the place should not be reeking of spirits and aliens.â you replied, putting your hands inside his borrowed jacket.
Jiji gave a soft smile, âNo aliens and spirits, noted.â
âYeah,â you replied, letting out a small, tired laugh. âLetâs save that for a less eventful night.â
For a moment, you both stood in the quiet hallway, the weight of the night hanging between you.
âGet some rest,â he finally said, his voice soft. âIâll head home before your grandma decides Iâm staying the night.â He offered a small, playful smile, but you could see the exhaustion in his eyes.
âYeah, Iâll do that.â You gave him a tired nod, then glanced toward the door. âThanks again, Jiji. For everything.â
He scratched the back of his head awkwardly, smiling a little brighter. âYou donât have to thank me. Youâre my⌠friend.â His voice faltered at the last word, and for a split second, something more flickered in his eyes before he quickly turned and headed toward the door.
As he opened it, a gust of cool night air swept in. âGoodnight,â he said, throwing a final wave over his shoulder before stepping outside.
You stood there for a moment longer, staring at the now-closed door, a strange mix of relief, exhaustion, and something unspoken settling in your chest.
âHey, Jiji.â
âYeah?â
âI like you too.â

So I've been thinking about them:
Specifically I was wondering what the moment was (if there even was a specific moment) that cinched it for Twilight developing feelings for Yor.
[Spoiler warning: this post references manga chapters not yet animated]
I think for Yor it's pretty quick. Like, this moment here:
Not that Yor fell in love with Twilight then (ymmv) or that she's fully aware of her feelings, but it's explicit that she felt connected to him here and attached in meaningful ways.
But for Twilight, it wasn't so clear. For a while I'd kind of decided that it just came over him slowly (and I think there is something to that) and that there wasn't any singular moment which stood out. But that didn't feel quite right. The more I thought about it, the more I thought there were two stand-out moments, only one of which Twilight actually (semi-)clocks.
The first, which I think passes him by entirely, is this:
In my view, this laugh is an entirely authentic response. I think he is, despite himself, delighted by this woman who 1. just unexpectedly saved him from being stabbed, and 2. did it by sending the guy flying across an entire alleyway.
This is accentuated in the anime, I think, by the jaunty, puckish music that makes up the first part of their marriage theme song. I am dying for the reappearance of this music in some fashion, btw, it's so fun and cheeky and I'm hoping foreshadows their vibe after various revelations and particularly when they start working together as Agent Twilight and Thorn Princess:
The second moment for Twilight, I think, is more subtle for all it's more impactful. Or at least, the degree of its importance passed me by on initial read/watch, and I think it's deliberately downplayed by Twilight himself. Because he does actually clock it but if he looks more closely at it, well... then he might have to do something about it. And maybe that something won't comport with what the mission needs, and then what?
It happens when Twilight first bugs Yor, and then poses with Franky as SSS agents to test whether she knows Yuri is with the SSS.
It's clear in the lead up that Twilight recognises he has some feelings about/for Yor, and he doesn't want to spy on her; he doesn't want to mistrust her at all. He has to convince himself to take seriously that she may be a potential threat.
And even then, the convincing only sort of mostly works, because he hesitates again:
Which is, by the way, bananas. At this point, they've been a fake family for maybe a handful of weeks? Twilight is an experienced, accomplished spy with a finely honed and necessary sense of paranoia. Of course he should be suspicious. Her brother is an SSS agent! Canonically, the SSS are both Twilight- and SSS self-described as Twilight's greatest existential threat. It shouldn't be a question whether or not to verify Yor's knowledge here. And yet.
We all know how the rest plays out. He decides that listening in isn't enough, he needs to confront her insofar as he's able. I wrote previously about Twilight's relationship with Anya and the pivotal moment for him in how his view of his relationship with Anya changes based on Anya's (and Endo's) choices. I think a similar thing happens in this scene with Yor.
See, it would have been enough for Yor to continue to deny, continue to not call on Yuri's help, to prove she didn't know, and to put Twilight's mind at ease.
Endo takes it further.
Y'all: THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WILD. It borders on levels of impulsive foolhardiness that Twilight should actually take as a negative for the person playing his wife for Operation Strix. Yor even alludes later to the problems this could cause!
The SSS are indiscriminate; if Yor was facing down actual SSS agents, first assaulting and then threatening them would 100000% land her in custody. Were it not for Yuri, it may even get her disappeared, based on how casually and frequently Yuri references having people executed. It would absolutely put the Forgers at risk, in general and in the implicitly sexist Ostanian society, because if Mrs Forger behaves this way, how does Mr Forger behave? And why can't he control his wife? The Secret Police are not known for their leniency, their modesty, their discerning, their temperateness, their mercy. They are known for the exact opposite of those things. And due to being a spy, Twilight probably knows they're actually much worse than even their public reputation.
And here's Yor saying: you can question me but if you threaten my brother or my husband, I will fucking end you. Bodily.
Of course, it's entirely in keeping with her character, and it's an entirely revealing moment of who she is. And I think this is the moment for Twilight. He's already been trusting her bit by bit, as he says above, intuitively. I'd suggest that maybe even more than that though, Yor taps into something Twilight deeply wants: backup. Someone and somewhere safe. Maybe we could describe a person fulfilling that role in an adult relationship as a partner...?
It's because he doubts his intuition (his wants, his feelings, things he shouldn't be countenancing) that we get to this point where he (overzealously) tests her.
She blows his test right out of the water.
The SSS are basically the group he fears most; this is reiterated throughout the story. He doesn't trust them specifically because of who he is and also just generally. He doesn't trust their judgment. He doesn't share their values or their priorities. He doesn't like them around. He doesn't like them looking. He doesn't like being anywhere near them. (Also, he's right.)
And here's Yor. Not only standing up to them on his behalf but actually going on active defence on his behalf.
(I pause here to note 'on his behalf' is a bit, mm, tricky, since it's actually technically on Loid's behalf and I have Thoughts and Feelings about Twilight & Identity. But for the sake of the impact of this moment on Twilight, we'll take it as writ that in this moment there's no appreciable difference between Twilight and Loid.)
I think from here on out, it's incredibly difficult for Twilight to ever doubt or distrust Yor. He perceives her as firmly in his corner, that if the chips are down â if his worst enemy and his worst fear come knocking â she'll be on his team, unflinchingly. He may not think there will be much she can do (heh.) or much she can offer given the power of the SSS and her civilian status (I reiterate: heh.), but it matters that he believes that she'll be by his side.
And you know what? He's right. She will be.
That isn't something he's had since he was a little boy. Even WISE doesn't seem to offer that to its agents, given Nightfall's thought here:
Twilight's had to rely on himself for decades and now here's this astonishing woman who will threaten the Secret Police for his sake. Of course he trusts Yor. Of course this moment widens the cracks in his barriers. And further: of course those cracks start to reach into those walls deep, deep inside that protect his heart. This is all before getting to other moments, like when he reflects on how Yor is creating a better world in ways he (thinks he) can never aspire to do himself. That she loves Anya openly, freely, with such dedication, to the point of sacrificing her own needs. That she just never gives up, she persists and persists and persists, always doing her best. That she reminds him it's okay to accept peace and to rest. That she wants and tries to take care of him... On and on and on.
Of course we get to this point:
I'm particularly taken with his body language a little later in the scene. He manages to get himself to sitting but he's still sprawled, open, even as he can't wrap his mind around what exactly is happening or why, and he's feeling vulnerable for all that. But at the same time, this is Yor. And she's safe.
In my view, if the Mole Arc hadn't happened immediately between this moment and the earlier where Yor declares herself unhappy, it would have been clearer how much stress he felt specifically due to Yor's apparent sudden unhappiness with their arrangement. The stress got subsumed (conveniently, ahem, Endo) into the stress and violence of the Mole Arc, but I think it rattled him pretty profoundly. It's also additionally why her warm greeting hit him as hard as it did: relief across multiple lines, such that he had to remind himself not to relax, despite Yor's apparent return to normal.
And there may be added layers to Twilight's reactions to Yor's bad moods due to his familial history, as pointed out by @unhappy-sometimes in this post; the inverse, of course, is that Yor's general good-naturedness would add layers to Twilight's sense of security with her. And the apparent loss of that, all the more devastating.
Rounding out the original moment though, I think this in many ways demonstrates the point:
Twilight throws away the bug. That is also wild. It isn't like that bug could only be used on Yor; it wasn't somehow modified to only respond to her person. It was a device that could be used and reused on different targets, on people who actually are worthy of being bugged, etc. But instead of pocketing it for later use, Twilight throws it away.
Actually: he not only throws it away, he crushes it first. Perhaps because he couldn't stand to have that particular device around, the device he used when he doubted Yor?
Seems kind of irrational, Twilight.
Seems kind of telling.
I mentioned my last Twilight meta about his relationship with Anya: in that, I suggest Twilight recognised entering into a compact with Anya, which subtly modifies, for him, the motivations around Strix. I think something like that happens here, too. If Yor is willing to go to such apparent extremes to protect him, he'll do his utmost to protect her.
I've had this meta in my drafts for a while, but I'm chuffed by this panel from the most recent chapter, as it kind of underscores all this by Yor's positioning of herself:
(Of course the point is there isn't a dichotomy: they'll protect each other, as indicated by Yor's if I had to choose: she won't have to choose.)
Back to Twilight, at this point, he can still justify all this as being within mission parameters. Of course he should protect Yor: she is an innocent civilian and if anything happens to her it would threaten Strix. But if/when this line is tested, if/when there comes a point where protecting Yor is actually the option that may put Strix at risk or put him somehow in opposition to WISE, then we'll see.
And more importantly, Twilight will see, too.

SKZ Mate: Chapter 16
Warnings: trauma related, abuse, bondage, reader has flashbacks, stockholm syndrome, assumed sexual assault but uncertainty if true, uncomfortable scenes
The first few days were hard for Y/N. She felt lonely and craved physical affection. Jisung was still not back and she was worried Chan and Hyunjin were torturing him. Some of the wolves spoke to her, like Seungmin and Chan who made sure to check in on her but she still felt isolated. Not as isolated as her dream. Even Felix and Minho completely refused to make any verbal contact with her. Y/N wanted to beg Chan to make it stop so she could apologise to the wolves and make the bond better. She even made a list in her bedroom on how she could fix it. Her biggest priority was Felix, her ray of sunshine was now an icy wolf. Y/N wanted to apologise to him, even if he didn't want to hear it, it would be enough. The next grumpy wolf on her list was Hyunjin. She wanted to understand him and learn how to please her alpha but she found him difficult to be near sometimes. For the simple reason that she never actually saw him that often. Then there was Minho, he was another one she did not understand but she still wanted to check in on him. Jeongin was another alpha who she desperately wanted to get to know him but knew he was still learning and was at his vital stage of growing and gaining power. Y/N had no intention of disrupting his journey, she only wished to get to know him than mere passings. Y/N wanted to ask Chan when he came back if they could spend time together if he was ready, but Y/N was patient. Seungmin and Changbin were comfortable and happy with her. Both made efforts to talk to her despite the circumstances. Y/N sighed as she looked at her list. The only way she could bond with them was by using words as actions were prohibited. In all honesty, her ass had turned black and was rather sore, which she did not appreciate. She had never seen it so black, ever. Focus Y/N. Focus. Y/N placed her hand on her head tapping it in frustration. She was an omega for goodness sake and she couldn't even please her pack. She got it right the first time so why did she get it wrong the second time? Y/N shook her head and forced herself to find Felix.
Felix was sat downstairs in the living room watching one of his programmes with Seungmin. He seemed to be in a better mood but not his usual self and Y/N hoped she could reconcile with him.
"Felix-ssi?" Y/N called out as she plopped down in front of his feet, leaning her head against the sofa, making sure she didn't touch him. Felix didn't respond to her and carried on watching his programme so Y/N tried again.
"Felix-ssi. I am sorry for getting you into trouble. I am really sorry if I caused you more pain. I only want to fix it." Y/N pleaded but was met with silence.
"Felix. Y/N-ssi is speaking to you." Seungmin spoke as he turned off the TV.
"I heard her. I have nothing to say to her." Felix answered.
"Don't you think that's unfair? Y/N has been through enough as it is. She didn't ask for this-"
"Neither did we Seungmin. Neither did we. We didn't ask to be given a broken omega. We didn't ask for all this trouble, but everything seems to follow her." Felix shouted, causing the female wolf to drop her head in shame. Y/N accepted Felix's outburst, his feelings were valid but she didn't know what else to do.
"Felix, stop!" Seungmin shouted as he threw down the remote. He was sick of all the arguments.
"Felix has a point, Seungmin. It's not even been two months yet and almost all of us have been punished by Hyunjin. She doesn't even know how to be an omega!" Minho shouted, his words burning deep into her body.  She doesn't even know how to be an omega. He has a point. His words were true. Everything she thought she did know was gone. Two months I've been here and I've caused a pack to divide because of me. Jisung is downstairs because of me. Felix killed San because of me. San died because of me. It's all my fault. Y/N stood up, ignoring the shouting matches around her as she made a decision. An irrational decision? Maybe, but Y/N needed to put things right.
"I'm going to put it right," Y/N spoke up but they ignored her, only scoffing at her words. "I'll go to Hongjoong."
Y/N ran out of the house and phased into her wolf form without a second thought heading straight into the woods. Her heart burned with determination as she broke through the clearing. She was close to the border of Wraithwood. She could smell its dark essence. Y/N sped up, ready to bolt towards the clearing when something tackled her with a snarl.
"You will not go." The brown wolf growled, almost challenging her. He was an alpha, but she did not recognise him. Y/N challenged the alpha with a growl ready to pounce when the alpha ordered her to sit down.
"Jeongin?" Y/N called out as the werewolf paced, ready to block her moves.
"Yes. I didn't mean to frighten you, but what you are doing is wrong. You cannot go back to them. We are your mates." Jeongin stressed, his dark brown eyes looking deep into hers.
"No. I'm not leaving. I wanted to put it right and talk to Hongjoong. I don't want a war." Jeongin huffed at her words and trotted over to her, nuzzling his head into her neck as he tried to calm her.
"You're so brave but it would not work. Trust me it would not. Hongjoong would never let you come back." Jeongin explained as his snout nuzzled against hers.
"I want to put it right." Y/N pleaded with the young alpha.
"You put it right by staying with us. Do not let Felix and Minho hyungs anger cloud your judgement. Hyunjin ssi tells me you're smarter than Hongjoong himself so why have you forgotten all your wisdom? Why have you forgotten who you are." Jeongin asked.
"I'm scared of Jeongin. I'm scared of being treated badly all over again. I'm scared of people having high expectations. I'm scared of being actually loved." Y/N admitted.
"No one has expectations of your omega." A black wolf called out. "No one has treated you badly, you're imagining it. Almost craving it. You see the good in Hongjoong that is not even there, Y/N. He brainwashed you and all your views you ever had. That's why it hurts so bad to see San killed. It felt like you had killed him."
"I feel like I'm missing the whole plot here," Jeongin explained as he looked between her and Hyunjin's wolf.
"She misses Hongjoong. She loves him. Y/N believes that everything Hongjoong did was in her best interest. Every time he punished her she would do her best to please. Her existence only existed if he was there. She could only breathe if he was there and the only way she could survive was by pretending that it was all because he loved her. Yet, that pretend feeling accidentally moulded itself into reality. She accidentally rewired her own brain to survive which lead to Seonghwa being allowed to punish her more. Locking her in a dark room as he taunted her, slowly dragging her until she went mad. But still she somehow managed to fight her way out and now her brain is still trying to justify his actions, because she's afraid of the reality. She's afraid to recognise that she was going to be used in a ritual so her brain tells her we're the enemy."
"How do you know that," Y/N whispered, slowly backing away. He can't know that.
"I can know that Y/N. Which is why I'm telling you to accept that your feelings were real but you need to let them go. It's time to come to terms with that and I'll help you, just like you helped me." Hyunjin whispered while Jeongin nuzzled himself into the omega, trying to piece together what the older alpha was explaining.
"He's right omega. We can help you get past this. We will listen to whatever story." Jeongin promised as he felt the wolf whine out in pain. Images of her struggles flashed through the male's mind.
Jeongin shuddered as he saw her reliving her darkest moments. He saw Hongjoong's menacing eyes burning deep into hers. He saw the way Hoongjoong's fingers gently touched her body, caring tentatively to her before they shifted into bloodied hands that grasped her throat as he whispered cruel things to her. The way he changed from a proud alpha to a disappointed one. He saw the way Seonghwa babied her as he carried her around, spoiling her, only for him to edge her closer and closer to their goals. He saw the way the wolves pleasured her as a group, driving her to every brink of madness and he couldn't tell if she wanted to or wanted to. Jeongin wanted to be sick as her images flashed through him. He tried to be strong like Hyunjin who allowed her to break in confidence. He wanted to be a strong alpha for her. He wanted to protect himself from all the horrors of the world. He wanted to show her how much better the world is but he wasn't strong enough, not yet, but he will be.

Return of the Mack
For @alchemistc. Hope you feel better soon!
At the fire academy, three things are beaten out of every trainee: fear, a normal sleep schedule, and the social influences that prevent one from intervening in the event of an emergency. Some have jokingly called the third one the Anti-Bystander Effect, because if someone needs assistanceâwhether it's to stop an assault, run into a burning building, or help a little old lady find a quarter she droppedâa firefighter will immediately rush in to save the day. It's a special brand of classical conditioning that instills an elevated sense of responsibility in every trainee, and it's paid in full by the state of California.
Which is why it's so odd for there to be three capable firefighters standing around doing nothing while there's an old man clearly in need of dire assistance. If the LAFD higher-ups knew they were actively choosing to watch the carnage unfold instead of lifting a finger to help, they'd all be shitcanned.Â
Luckily, there's a fourth firefighter on the scene doing the absolute most.Â
"I thought we made a pact to keep him from using his powers for evil," Eddie says, taking a dispassionate sip of his coffee.Â
"Is it evil if he's actually using them in service of a greater good?" Hen's attention is half on what's going down and half on the Notes app on her phone, where she's typing out the week's grocery list. "You know, the enemy of my enemy is my friend?"
Draped over the railing like his bones have melted, Chimney gives a sage nod. "He's like a one-man Suicide Squad."Â
In the apparatus bay, they watch as Vincent Gerrard uses the distraction of B Shift heading home to duck behind one of the engines, most likely to regroup after being thoroughly ambushed the second he stepped into the station five minutes ago. He slumps back and breathes. The moment of weakness costs him: a grinning demon rounds the corner and makes a bee-line for him as though he can taste blood in the air.
"So, which one of you said 'spreadsheet' three times in a mirror?" Ravi sidles up next to Chimney and unwraps a breakfast burrito from Delia's.Â
Chimney gives him the stink-eye. "I hope you brought enough for the whole class."
"Nope," Ravi says, taking a cheerful bite.
"None of us summoned him," Eddie says. He leans down to try and catch the conversation being had, but he's too high up. For a second, he thinks he hears the words 'crack whore' but it's probably a trick of the bay's acoustics. "He's everywhere, always, just watching and waiting for you to slip up. Like God."
"Or the Devil," Hen says in agreement.
"Or Santa," Chimney adds.
Ravi chews thoughtfully. "I thought we threw out all the clipboards. Who gave him that one?"
"Tommy," Eddie, Hen, and Chimney say through a simultaneous, long-suffering sigh.Â
It's not just any clipboard. It's the king of clipboards. It's the only clipboard that has ever fucked. The thing is a navy blue polycarbonate beast with "Buckley 118" embossed in fire engine red on the back, and the clip looks like it was forged in the fires of Staples HQ.Â
At the bi-weekly Beer and Bitch Night last Friday at Golden Road Pub, Tommy had pulled it out of a bag and presented it on one knee like he was proposing, or bestowing a sword to a king. The entire brewery was then given front-row seats to an intense game of tonsil hockey that nearly went into overtime until Eddie threatened to call Athena because Bobby looked like he was seriously reconsidering sobriety.
"Does he know what he's unleashed?" Ravi sounds genuinely curious.Â
As if on cue, Chimney's, Eddie's, and Hen's phones chime with three incoming messages.Â
T.K. 07:26am: Has it started? T.K. 07:26am: Remember: you promised one of you would film it T.K. 07:27am: I'm offering 3 nights of free babysitting to the first person who delivers
That last one is followed by a gif of J. Jonah Jameson shouting "Bring me Spiderman!"
Hen frowns down at her phone. "Who the hell is that?"
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that," Chimney mutters.
H.W. 07:28am: Why are you so desperate for video? E.D. 07:28am: What 40-something year old still pinky swears? H.H. 07:28am: Clipboard Buck better not be a weird sex thing for you, Kinard
Tommy's typing indicator appears, then disappears. Then appears and disappears again. Then appearsâ
"Yeah, no." Chimney hastily pockets his phone. "Those two were made in a lab for each other, I swear to god."
Down in the bay, Gerrard has moved to stand almost directly underneath them. While they can't hear what Gerrard says to Melanie Wu, an electrician so talented she could probably take down the entire grid with her eyes closed, that puts such a dour expression on her face, they can hear it when Buck, popping up behind Gerrard like an insane Jack-in-the-box, says, "Don't worry, Melanie! This is something to bring up during Thursday's workplace conflict seminar."
"What seminar?!"
Buck isn't cowed. He taps his clipboard and says, "The one I scheduled with Chief Alonso. You know, the mandatory one we all need to do in order to keep our certificationâwell, we'll keep it as long as nothing comes up during the seminar that might call into question our ability to do the job."
There's a charged moment where it almost looks like Gerrard might take a swing at Buck, but then he notices the audience hanging above him like a Greek chorus and shouts, "Someone'd better top off the fuel and DEF orâ"
"Already done, Cap." Buck makes a show of turning to the second page on his clipboard and lists off, "All fuel, DEF, oil, and coolant are set. Tires have been aired up. Hoses have been drained and cleaned, and re-rolled. Engines were all waxed yesterday, all medical supplies have been inventoried and stocked, and I've made a list of the harnesses and cutting torches that need replacing. Just need you to sign off on everything. Sir."
The ingratiating smile on Buck's face would fool even the wiliest of senior officers, and Gerrard himself looks like even he's not sure if what just happened was disrespectful, but they know better.Â
"Diabolical," Ravi whispers, awed.Â
Hissing through his teeth, Gerrard spins on his heel and storms away in the direction of the little office in the administrative section of the firehouse where he's taken to holing up like a miserable groundhog until they get a call that forces him back out. If he sees his shadow on the firehouse wall, it's six more hours of bullshit.
As soon as he's gone, all the firefighters that had stopped to watch the show burst into laughter and applause, and Buck cracks up, taking sweeping bows and blowing kisses to his adoring fans.Â
Chimney rolls his eyes and looks to see what Hen's expression is doing, because no one gives good face like she does, but she's holding her phone in a way that clearly meansâ
"You're filming this?" Chimney demands, betrayed.
She gives an unrepentant shrug. "Three nights of free babysitting? I'm not proud."
"You do know this means Buck's going to get laid and be absolutely insufferable about it, right?"
"Three nights," Hen bites out through very audible regret.
Buck looks up, flashes a grin, and the second he clocks the phone he salutes it with the clipboard. Then he struts after Gerrard, calling almost lazily, "Cap, wait up! I wanted to talk about setting up a mock exam for everyone who's planning on taking the TCFP D/O!"
They all watch him go. Silently, Hen sends off the video with the air of someone about to make a drug drop.Â
"So, when does Taylor Kelly's exposĂŠ come out again?" Eddie makes a dubious face in the direction of the administrative offices. "Because I don't know that Gerrard won't off himself before it does."
"We win either way," Chimney points out.Â
"It comes out next Monday," Hen says, slipping her phone into her pocket and elbowing Chimney in the arm on her way to the stairs. "Karen and I are hosting a watch party that night and you're all invited."
Ravi beams. "Thanks, Hen. I'll definitely be there."
"And you'll be bringing dinner from Taco Aztecaâfor everybody. Make sure you get enough carne," Chimney calls over his shoulder as he follows Hen.Â
"I'm not a probie anymore," Ravi whines. "You can't haze me like this."
Snickering, Eddie pats him on the shoulder and says, "You do this and I'll make sure you're not sitting anywhere near Buck and Tommy when Taylor drops the bomb about Gerrard and Ortiz."
"Extra al pastor and buche it is!"

'Rhaenyra is a bad mom bc she knowingly gave birth to bastards and she knew how much danger they'd be in!!!!'
1. She had no way of knowing those babies wouldn't pop out looking exactly like her, beforehand. And unfortunately she couldn't stop at Jace. The throne needed an heir. Driftmark needed an heir. And a spare was needed as well, given the sheer rate of Targaryen children dying untimely deaths.
2. She had to provide heirs to the throne, and to Driftmark. If she hadn't, society wouldn't have blamed Laenor, they would have blamed her- which makes her position even more unstable, bc then she 'can't fulfill a woman's duty' so why would men think her 'able' to fill a 'man's role' by ruling the kingdom? And she and Laenor tried. He was either unable (meaning infertile or impotent, or unable to get it up), or unwilling. (And they did try. We dont know what they tried but Rhaenyra is shown to be clever in the show so honestly i have no doubt she attempted what Margaery suggested with Renly.) Laenor was in on the entire thing. He was aware of every part of this. He wasn't duped, he wasn't cuckholded- it was a plan greenlit by him, bc this way he and Rhaenyra would both have their heirs and a family. This cannot in any way shape or form be compared to Cersei cuckholding Robert (fuck Robert Baratheon tho), seeing as Robert was **not** at all aware that his children weren't his, and wouldn't have been OK with that.
Either way- she chose not to maritally r*pe her husband and put him through more trauma after it was clear their attempts weren't working. Yall are always so upset for Alicent (rightfully so, bc show!alicent was maritally raped, even if it wasn't considered as such in that time), but you... WANT Rhaenyra to do that to Laenor? Hello???
[And no. Rhaenyra did NOT rape or coerce Criston Cole. The actors, writers, and directors have all stated their sex was consensual and 'an act of love.' It was Rhaenyra going to someone she felt close to and trusted after feeling abandoned and unwanted and betrayed. In that scene you literally watch, as after Cole tells Rhaenyra to stop undressing herself, she moves aside so she isn't blocking his way to the door. The director states that the moment they show Cole folding and setting down his cloak was him choosing his desire over his oaths. And Criston Cole has known Rhaenyra since she was 14. He knew damn well the sort of person she was- and she was not the person who would have harmed him for saying no. She was an intoxicated and emotionally vulnerable 19 year old- Criston was in his late 20s to early 30s. And it's explicitly stated in ep.9 that the ONLY person a Kingsguard cannot refuse is the king. In ep.7 Criston disobeys a direct order from Alicent when she wants him to mutilate Lucerys. Criston Cole was not assaulted. Stop trying to assign Aegon's sins to Rhaenyra so that you can feel better for supporting him.]
3. In the books, the rumors of their bastardry at large halted when all of Rhaenyra's boys' cradle eggs hatched. The ONLY people who continued to try and raise issue were the core green faction. But the realm at large *did not give a fuck* why? Because every actually relevant party claimed those boys. Repeatedly and without flinching. Laenor claimed and loved those boys even face to face with Alicent's bullshit. Corlys claimed and love those boys- he was proud of them, and it's been stated by the actor in the show that Luke was his favorite- that given the... events of ep.10, Corlys will be out for blood. And Viserys repeatedly insisted upon their legitimacy- because Laenor and Corlys claimed them, because he knew that by forcing Rhaenyra to marry Laenor in order to repair the damage his insults caused House Velaryon, that he had backed her into a corner.
Rhaenyras boys are remembered to history as Velaryon. Even **Green supporters** noted that they were good, capable, intelligent, and **worthy** princes. That their deaths were unfortunate *for the realm.*
Legally, those boys are legitimate. They cannot be proven illegitimate without Laenor renouncing them, and he never did. Furthermore, trying to declare children illegitimate due to their appearance is a stupid, dangerous precedent. The fact that it's people who have no ties to House Velaryon pushing these rumors and pushing for disinheritance makes it even worse, because they're meddling in the succession of a House that *is not theirs.* if that became a standard, imagine the feuds and conflicts that would erupt- lords pushing for the children of rivals to be declared illegitimate all for the sake of trying to grasp and steal land, power, and influence as a norm? The realm would tear itself apart. Not to mention the sheer danger that would place women in, in Westeros.
Furthermore, even whilst usurping her, even while calling her children bastards, the Greens also imply Laenor's homosexuality was inherited by the Velaryon princes- that they would use Rhaenyra's 'promiscuity' and Laenor's 'predilections' to turn the Red Keep into a brothel- ironic, considering that's more what Aegon would've done. So even while claiming that Rhaenyras children are bastards that shouldn't inherit, they try to state that what the boys inherit or learn from Laenor makes them unfit for the throne. They can't keep their own damn story straight- because their usurpation was never about what is moral, what is right, or the greater good. It was about greed. Power. Sexism.
It doesn't matter what those boys looked like, especially seeing as Rhaenys had dark hair in the books. What matters is that Corlys and Laenor and Viserys claimed them and declared them legitimate, and that they **never** deviated from that.
As for Vaemond, he was a second son. And he waited until Corlys and Viserys were dying and too ill to stop him to make a grasp for power. Youre not supposed to look at that and feel hes in the right. Youre supposed to look at that and see a man consumed by greed, and literally trying to bury Corlys' will and intentions before the man is even in a grave. He was NEVER Corlys' heir- he just wanted power. It wasn't about his House, or their legacy, it was about him.
(And before yall start shit about Rhaenyras boys stealing Laena's girls' inheritance... Rhaena and Baela are *TARGARYEN*. Not Velaryon. Their claim was to the throne or to any holdings in Daemon's name. NOT to Driftmark.)
Rhaenyras boys being betrothed to Rhaena and Baela tied up any issue of 'Velaryon blood.' Baela would have been queen consort of the seven kingdoms at Jace's side, and they very clearly adored one another in book and show. Rhaena would have been Lady of the Tides- which she never would have had a chance for, without Rhaenyra (and Laena) making those betrothals. She and Luke were also canonically very close- and in show she's very encouraging of him whenever he looks nervous or uncertain. They had a bond.
Rhaenyra stole nothing. She gave those girls more. And she loved them- they were the only daughters she got to have, seeing as the Greens treachery caused the early death of baby Visenya. If she hadn't loved them, she wouldn't have trusted Rhaena to look after Joffrey or give her Morning's egg from Syrax. She wouldn't have immediately invited both girls to the table when she was queen, which is something her father did not do for her until much, much later. He allowed Rhaenyra's voice to be silenced too often when she was first made heir. Rhaenyra did not repeat that hurt to her girls or her boys.
Anyways, moving on.
You lot do also remember that Rhaenyra herself has Velaryon blood, right? Jaehaerys I's mother was Alyssa Velaryon. Aegon, Rhaenys, and Visenya the Conquerors' mother was Valaena Velaryon. It's not immediate, but there *is* Velaryon blood through *all* of Rhaenyras boys.
Ultimately, Rhaenyras boys were only in danger because of the core Green faction usurping the throne. If they hadnt- no succession crisis or rebellion could have truly threatened Rhaenyras boys- because none of them would have had dragons. All of Rhaenyras children loved one another- her sons by Daemon would not have turned on her sons with Laenor (and Harwin). They were a true, loving family- possibly one of the healthiest and most close knit one House Targaryen ever boasted.
And another thing... 'her having babies with Harwin was stupid, she should have picked someone Valyrian!'
Here's the thing. Rhaenyra had to be careful as hell choosing who would father her and Laenor's heirs. She had to choose someone who was physically close, and who could be trusted. Someone who wouldn't try to publicly claim those boys in boast or jealousy. Someone who would keep their mouth shut and had no ambition of their own in regards to the throne. Do you really think Vaemond Velaryon (as I see him suggested a lot) would've kept his mouth shut? That he wouldn't have tried to use this to blackmail Rhaenyra and Laenor for more power and status? Do you think Rhaenys would have ever fought for or supported Rhaenyra if Rhaenyra had tried to have Corlys sire her children? And flying to see Daemon in Pentos and having a purely Valyrian child 9 months later would have made things look even more suspect.
Furthermore... she chose someone who cared for her deeply. Who clearly had a positive relationship with Laenor. She chose someone so she wouldn't have to traumatize herself- she took power over her body in a way almost no Westerosi woman has ever been able to. They were a family unit- Rhaenyra, Laenor, and Harwin. Those children were loved and cherished by two fathers and their mother. They were raised never doubting their mothers love, nor their father's- either father. They were raised and educated to be true, good princes of the realm.
Rhaenyra fought like hell for her children. She was an incredible mother. Yall just believe everything the Green faction says without looking at it critically, and that's unfortunate as hell.
