while it was very good and effectively frightening.... with how theyve handled fedra/the fireflies so far im a little nervous they might be setting it up for the fireflies to be 100% in the wrong later instead of it being less clear cut like it was in the game...

I wonder if each episode will start with a confusing scene from the future that will haunt us and drive us crazy 🤡 (I also wonder if 4 Minutes will end with explaining all the plots and threads, because as we know, not everything was in DFF)

I read some theories and I see that the one that is often repeated is that Tyme specifically approached Great to seduce him because he is conducting some secret operation against his family. A few questions:

if he knows this family, it means he knows who Great is (and let's say he recognized his name on the note)

why didn't he approach Great earlier, why didn't he arrange a "random" meeting earlier

why would he approach him and seduce him at all? What good would that do him?

I know that we all live in a BL bubble, but the probability of Tyme seducing Great outside of our bubble is actually pretty small, especially in those circumstances

Tyme would have to base the success of his mission on Great accepting his advances instead of reporting him to the hospital management for inappropriate behavior and maybe even stalking

well, I'm sorry, but even the most handsome doctor standing suggestively between a patient's legs and admitting that he knows their name from a private note wouldn't be able to gain someone's trust, quite the opposite. In reality, Tyme only manages to do this because Great already has visions of him and is intrigued. But please pay attention to Great's body language - if it weren't for these visions, he wouldn't be so "compliant" with the doc

why would Tyme even admit that he knows as much about him as his name and tell him how he found out about it, which was pretty weird. This sounds disturbing and off-putting to any person

if Tyme wanted to get closer to Great, it would be better for him to befriend him, gain his trust as a confidant of his problems, someone who supports him, shows a positive kind of friendship (which is exceptionally easy compared to Great's friends 😬), not to stick out with excessive knowledge about him (and his groin) I absolutely don't deny that Tyme may be conducting his operation against Great's family, it's also possible that seeing Great's name, he decided to get to know him for some of his own reasons. But this meeting is accidental, Tyme may already have some plan going on and by contacting Great right now, he may try to gain something, but he may also jeopardize this plan. Basing all this on Great's unknown sexuality is a game that could end badly for Tyme as a doctor and as a "spy". It's just.... idk. Somehow there is too much coincidence here. At the moment I am leaning towards Tyme being sincerely interested in Great 😉

Tyme is an interesting character in general, and I personally agree with his description here by @biochemjess. Already in ep 1 I was intrigued by the fact that he wants to be a surgeon, which means limiting interpersonal contact. His scenes with patients indicate that he doesn't feel a deeper connection with them and their problems, their pain. I would not be surprised if he chose this profession for a purely economic reason, to become a good surgeon and earn good money and have contact with patients only on the operating table 🤔 I was also intrigued by his reaction to what the nurses say about him.

Of course, this is only episode 2, in DFF all the surprising plot twists appeared later, so now I am writing everything in my clown makeup 🤡

I really like how the characters played by JJay and Fuaiz meet the same way in each universe. Fuaiz stands in the doorway and JJay has an ✨epiphany✨

Only vaguely related but I don’t think they’ve ever addressed the issue of how exactly they all got to Earth anyway. Prime’s talked to Teletraan 1 so presumably the Ark exists somewhere? maybe being repaired somewhere away from GHOST? but atm I think all we know is what Alex said about them arriving via an apparently pre-made space bridge(??????), and iirc in Alex’s story they all just kinda. Walked through it. Meaning no one got here via spaceship. Which makes me wonder if maybe the Ark is something that’s in the process of being created so someone can go check if Cybertron still exists and if so what the state of affairs is there.              

Actually it’d be a neat touch if the factions did arrive on their respective ships, but both were heavily damaged, and it’s only by working together (and maybe incorporating some Earth technology?) that they can use parts of both the Ark and the Nemesis to create a new ship for everyone (who wants to) to go home in.       going back to the “please let the kids chill” episode ideas like it’d be neat to see them all visit Cybertron and learn about Cybertronian culture(s. please more than one im Begging. Different Cybertronian languages. Religions. FOODS. Etc.)

A lot of this is just going off of what Alex said way back in what, episode 1? 2? And we’ve seen stuff in flashbacks that contradict his story, so it’s clearly not the most reliable source of info – but it’s pretty much all we’ve got.

Btw I think Cybertronian languages really oughta have different words for like. energon (crystal/mineral), energon (beverage), and energon (blood).  And maybe resolve the blue/pink thing by going with blue crystals (I feel like we’ve seen them more than pink ones?), pink blood (aka it’s definitely recognizable as a blood stand-in but is Legally not blood. just like Star Trek), and maybe bring back the rainbow for the beverage. You could definitely argue that beverage and blood could use the same word, but I feel like there should at LEAST be different words for different states of matter.   

Speaking of, I don’t think we’ve seen much in the way of energon as a gas except BotBots (where it’s also plasma (?) since it’s shown as lightning that hits the mall, which is then filled w/energon gas. Also bring back BotBots Please. or make them part of Earthspark as a new kind of Terran :ssbenis:) and I think that one episode of TFA where Optimus uses Swindles boobs to teleport. Or maybe that was another space substance, I don’t remember.

Hm that’s a lot of Not Much to do with the actual episode and a Lot of me just coming up with my own ideas for worldbuilding sdkf;jhsdkjf. sorry.

Something something the Terrans are the natural result of Cybertron and Earth interacting and they need a similar naturally combined source of energy to survive, while Mandroid is now a forced, artificial combination of Cybertron and Earth stuff that needs artificial energon patches to survive.

Side note but were energon patches a thing before Rescue Bots? I don’t think they were. If that’s true then it’s neat to see Rescue Bots original stuff becoming part of the larger TF mythos :D Makes sense given that Nicole Dubuc and others worked on both shows

side side note but how exactly did humans end up with control of the energon supply anyway. did they ever mention something abt agreeing to that in return for a planet to live on or something and I just forgor?

I kinda wish they’d built up the return of Mandroid and his collaboration with what’s-her-face a bit more, but I guess this in-and-of-itself is setup for season 2.

Especially since she’s like “they’re all disposable” and there’s this dramatic reveal of Hardtop, Skullcruncher I think, and …………………a bunch of empty cells. lmao

It was released 2 years ago and it was a really important project for Z and both Z and JDW were highly involved in the process of creating it. Saying they were just puppets for Sam is extremely disrespectful to them. You hated the movie, we know that. But let it go girl. It also afforded her the opportunity to be able to work with Denzel Washington's son JDW, who is like the son of Hollywood royalty.👍🏾😁

When Situ got shot, my brain went through so many emotions and thoughts it was crazy. Like I felt confused, I wanted to cry a little bit, but I also had whumperflies! 😂 whumper brain and rational human brain were fighting hard 😅

2. Can we just appreciate Shaochuans evil laugh for a sec? Cause bro, it sent chills up my arms! And the duality! This guy made me think Situ was actually dead!

3. K this is random, but why does everybody look so fucking good in these hats? 👀👀👀 like, woah quiming, that glow up

4. Final thing. this drama is phenomenal. Both the storyline and my emotions went on a roller coaster. it was amazing. Definitely my new favourite drama. I love watching Hutiyan so much, and he is so good In this role! And the bromance between Situ and Shaochen was so cute. I loved every min.

An analysis of ep 11...specifically the kiss... Well, I wasn't planning on doing it BUT since you asked, it made me think and then I went to look at all the previews so far to see if there's any way we can predict what may or may not happen (Ha!).

So the previews for episodes 2-6 all end with a snippet of the scene at the end of the episode:

2 = the tickle in the new dorm room

3 = the guitar in the corridor

4 = the sleepover in Pran's room

5 = the iconic rooftop scene

6 = the deal made by the boat.

BUT episodes 7-10 do not do this...at all:

7 = only shows the rooftop scene from the fourth part (it ends on the tease of a kiss)

8 = doesn't have any snippets of the fourth part of the episode (it ends on the car wash scene)

9 = only shows the café scene from the fourth part (it ends on the rugby fight)

10 = doesn't have any snippets of the fourth part of the episode (it ends with Pat and Pran getting caught in the supermarket)

So, if the preview of episode 11 is following the pattern of episodes 7-10 then a) we're probably only being shown snippets of scenes from parts 1-3 of the episode; b) the tease of a kiss at the end of the preview is not going to be the end of the episode; and potentially c) the tease of a kiss may just be that - a tease.

Now, the show has subverted a lot of things, so it could also subvert this - as in, we assume we're not actually going to get a kiss because so many times when a kiss is hinted at it never happens (like in ep 7) so actually this tease of a kiss in ep 11 WILL actually be a kiss...and a genuine serious one.

However, it might not. To be honest, the way it's filmed it looks like one of them is going to pull away or make a joke or something (maybe Pat), but we also know that they have used different takes in the previews than the real ones, so even that can change things.

This is getting long, so I'll try to wrap it up.

My opinion? There is SO MUCH that will happen in episode 11 that we have not gotten in the preview - this is how it has been for every preview - and I think these other things will be peppered between some of the beach scenes in the preview - including the kiss tease...which I think will just be a tease...BUT Pat and Pran have been giving small kisses here and there, so there might be a kiss scene anyway in the episode even if it's not this one - especially if people's theories are correct in that Pat and Pran will have deeper conversations which might lead to their first time (if they haven't already *ahem* done it). But I think this will all happen within the first two or three parts and part 4 will be something we have no idea about yet...which could be good or could be scary. 😬

hi, dear anonnie! okay, you didn't have to come at me like that

well you need to know something about me before we continue. i easily got bored when the couple is finally together and all sweet with each other. i drop most shows or watching them very briefly when the lovey-dovey phase comes. I usually don't enjoy the show as much as I did in the beginning

the same thing happened with kinnporsche. I don't know if you saw but after ep8 I've said that that much sweetness is not for me i didn't even have any set ideas in mind. I also made and angsty edit just after two episodes of kp lol craving angst already in that time. don't get me wrong i want them to be happy and in love it's just my preference as a viewer

and here's when vp comes. when i was like "it's too sweet for my poor heart" they gave me the angsty couple with insane chemistry and very complicated relationship to get obsessed to again. and of course i prefer them more now. but I'm sure this whole bored part will happen with vp too when i see them in their lovey-dovey phase (in some kind of imaginary season 2)

and now let me talk about the pool scene itself. they've been hyping this up for two months so much that i naturally assumed (and we all naturally assumed) that this will be another hot and passionate nc scene. what i didn't expect is for that to be angsty and tender and full of mostly bad emotions (you can't convince me otherwise it was a goodbye s*ex okay). and i need to tell you that my favorite nc scene of them is that desperate one in the end of the ep7 and this one comes very closely to that one. so yeah i loved this tender worshipping and loving act full of complicated emotions and made a set. sue me i guess

also the way mileapo delivered this scene? incredible, immaculate, perfect and go on

and I don't really know why I'm answering this ask and defending myself in some weird kind of way lol. i just wanna say that let us have different preferences and different tastes. I've never said anything offending about either mileapo or kinnporsche and I'll never say something like that. mileapo is an amazing duo that act so perfectly in every scene your brain just shuts itself down. but yes for me vegaspete is more interesting rn. I've never seen that kind of relationship on screen and it's truly fascinating to see how writers write their asses out of this mess. because it's a huge mess.

I joined the fandom when most problematic shows had already aired too so I knew to stay away from them. so maybe sotus or addicted? those were some of my first bls and... they're not the best lmao.

most of them? but tbh saifahzon in why r u? made me feel extra single bc they're just so gentle with each other and I want that someday. also wangxian in the untamed.

tbh I wish we would get less second seasons... I think a good standalone show is lovely. of course I love the couples but not every story needs a pt2 just because it's popular, sometimes I wish ppl would let it rest 😅

that being said, I'm really excited about the cherry magic movie and to my star s2! since the couples only got together at the very end it makes more sense to me to have a s2.

10. a bunch of dramas will air soon. which ones are you the most excited for?

I'm not really informed about everything that'll air if I'm honest. I mostly decide to watch a show after a couple of eps have aired and I see gifs of them that intrigue me. I'm excited about kinnporsche though (is that even a bl?)! other than that I will probably start enchante and cherry blossoms after winter soon, but those are already airing

11. favourite underrated bls?

I think mr. heart is such a cute show! I also think that lovely writer has fallen under the rock a bit but that show was so good too!

The thing is, ls doesn't have to do much to be better than 5a lmao. Like the "big" disaster was handled badly the rest of the season was riddled with plot holes they tried to fill with random characters we don't give a single 💩 about instead of the ones they don't really concentrate on in general and last minute changes. Like Tim gave that team a long leash and they fumbled badly. Did it set up some good stuff for b? Sure, and it's exciting, but it was still a really bad season that ls can easily eclipse plot wise 😬 also made me scared of what they will actually deliver in b

Yeah, like I said, I think the overall arc still works, and the potential for 5b with what they set up is good, and they were working with JLH being out AND JHK getting another job (not sure if they wrote Kenneth Choi out because he was working on something else as well), but based on individual episodes and my desire to see them over again? 5a is...definitely lacking compared to previous seasons, as well as the LS premier. Like, there was a distinct lack of rescues this season, as well as a lack of bright moments to grant some levity to a darker season. 

Even episodes that had the potential to be good like Ghost Stories (still a favorite opening rescue that was well shot and well performed) with some great Chim and Hen moments, and Past is Prolog which started out so strong and had lots of things going for it, are still so full of pointless stuff that it makes it hard to watch the episode as a whole instead of just the “good” scenes, or like 5x03 which aside from the end and a few good moments with Harry is pretty 😬😬😬 And I say this as a person who does not skip any scenes when I’m rewatching the show (aside from that horse dying in season 2, I’m not putting myself through that again), I don’t currently want to rewatch 5a at all right now (all the good stuff is in gifs and clips on tumblr anyway), and when I DO come back to it, I will have a really hard time making it through 5a. 

I’ve not only been able to handle everything this show has thrown at me (again, aside from the horse. He didn’t NOT deserve that and if I never watch it again he can live forever on a rehab farm for injured police horses), I’ve enjoyed watching even some of the harder/darker or more cringe moments that other people always mention skipping or not likeing. Season 1 Buck? Lawsuit arc? Street fighting arc? Doug/Maddie’s kidnapping? Bobby’s backstory? Season 4 in general? I love this show and I’ve loved watching and re-watching it but 5a is not just it for me personally. 

Which hey! If a show can get 4 full seasons of banger content before having a big miss (more than just one “meh” episode, or several eps that just didn’t work) than that’s really not too shabby! And again, 5b does have the set up to be really good so 5a isn’t a total miss and might even be more enjoyable after 5b turns on the electricity and sheds some light on what was going on in 5a. Fingers crossed 5b delivers some good stuff and looking at those episode titles (and knowing the feedback from the GA hasn’t been great either and the team would be taking that into some account), I am pretty optimistic!

Just watched the fruits basket episode, a part of me internally died when I saw the ground crumble and her fall ;-;. And yay, kiss scene, though idk if tohru’s actually going to remember it after she wakes up. Akito did a complete 180 in this ep, but it wasn’t out of place at all. Just shows how great the writing of this show is. Brb, going to cry for the next ten minutes

ok ok here’s the thing

While I’m stoked that Ajax’s getting a rerun again(major childe simp here who lost the 50/50 twice ;-;), i’m so worried that they’re going to do something horrible to him.

SPOILERS

Literally they killed off their first character Signora, like there’s no way she’s coming back based on how they showed the scene. Not to mention it’s canon now that Delusions cause accelerated aging and suck life force energy? Like people literally died using these, and while I could argue that there’s just a difference between Ajax and these other people just because Childe’s been trained with his and might have some sort of way to stop or limit the effects(not completely tho, as we’ve seen from his story quest).

So yeah, I’m really just hoping this is Mihoyo being biased for once or putting him there since his first few banners were overshadowed by the archons causing him to lose sales.

Because if he gets killed off, fuck this game lol

But then again, Kazuha also had a bunch of death flags but he’s fine? I think all playable characters should be fine hopefully, otherwise it makes no sense lol

ok, i was really confused by the ending of the latest story quest. While i do appreciate smug albedo, that last scene in mondstat, was that really him? or was it another subject? Three things that make me think this:

1) Why would Albedo joke about the gardener thing when that was a serious moment traveler and him were having? In the traveler’s canon thoughts itself, they were really confused because Albedo made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal anymore.

2) The star shape on his neck wasn’t there originally, but it was suddenly there? Maybe Subject 2 learned abt the one thing Traveler could use to differentiate between the real Albedo and imposter and then replicated that as well. We know that Subject 2 was highly intelligent as well so I could definitely see that as being a possibility.

3) The smugness in general. Look, I love it when characters are being smug, but it’s so out of character for Albedo. Subject 2 on the other hand, was way more cheerful and tbh matches the Albedo we saw at Mondstat.

So all i’m saying is, I really don’t think that’s Albedo, but I might be overthinking all of this ahaha. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what happens with that storyline. Other than that, AHHHHH we got so much Albedo content, very happy rn :DD This was definitely one of my favorite events for sure.

okay so this was defo a hard one for me as i’m going through a phase where like. my writing is the best it’s ever been, but because i’ve got better and continue to do so, i’m painfully aware of all the flaws with my fics 😬 and end up not loving them looking back, so this one was a hard one for me because most of my favourite fics are ones i haven’t actually written yet 😂 or at least ones i haven’t finished. BUT for the purposes of this we’re gonna list some that i have fond feelings about regardless of how i feel about the quality

- you are the music in me. 

yes, that is a high school musical 2 title, come at me. for this one i essentially rewrote the musical episode to make it coldflash. barry is a secret informant at a club, len is his mob boss boyfriend. there are musical numbers. the spirit of this fic possessed my mortal body bc i had the idea and then literally wrote almost the whole thing in one sitting. 20,000 words. in a day. that’s the most i have ever written in one day in my LIFE and probably the most i will ever write again and you know what, i’m glad it was this one. 

- xs-tential crisis. 

this one’s gen. it’s about len returning to central city post-occulus and finding out there’s a pint-sized new speedster in town. i find it a tragedy that len and nora never met on the show so i made it happen 🤷‍♀️ this one’s just kinda cute and i had a lot of fun writing the dialogue for it

- hearts like ice. 

this one is iris/killer frost, if iris went darkside and became obsessed with stealing barry’s speed and she and frost had a secret love affair. it’s pretty twisted i can’t lie but i just love writing evil women >:) 

- don’t threaten me with a good time

my final farewell to cisco. mostly gen with a hint of coldflash, which is basically how all my gen goes. inspired by the santiago drunkenness scale from brooklyn-99, we follow team flash through a series of flashbacks of a night out as we explore the eight stages of drunk barry and cisco explains why we do not let barry get drunk under any circumstances. this one’s just fun and silly and involves barry drunkenly dancing and setting things on fire and i had the best time writing it 

- my love comes out at midnight. 

this one is one of my most recent ones and quality-wise it’s objectively probably my best one. this is the first in a series of one-shots that i am very poetically calling ‘the bangverse’, which is essentially every canon coldflash interaction except they bang. it’s literally just smut of barry and len having sex in the woods after len learns barry’s identity. i’m getting ready to post another one shot in this universe (currently titled ‘a very coldwestallen christmas’) that’s set in the christmas ep where len leaves for the legends, and it’s basically just barry and len having sex against a wall while iris watches so keep an eye out for that one
