post-timeskip Sanji is sent back in time to a point before Sabaody. I don't really have a whole thing for this, just Sanji having to restrain himself from yelling at his younger self to please, dear god, do NOT let Usopp get sent to Boin on his own.
He's also taking a lot of time to drag Usopp to the kitchen and give him lessons on proper nutrition and cooking. Usopp- as with everyone else- is very confused. Sanji's the cook, isn't he? That's his job, not Usopp's.
Sanji has to make up some excuse about being sick once and Usopp planning and cooking meals so badly that it has haunted him for years. Man, having a chronic liar and storyteller for a boyfriend is really rubbing off on him. Not that he's complaining at the moment.
Despite his confusion, Usopp genuinely has a good time with Sanji. Especially since he's not really cooking, more just writing stuff down in a notebook while Sanji lists off different recipes and why they're good to know off the top of his head. He doesn't understand why every recipe seems like they'd be best suited for camping out in a large, killer bug and plant-infested forest- specific, yes, but also Sanji keeps making a note about that after he lists off each recipe. Usopp is going to avoid thinking about it too deeply.
Younger Sanji, meanwhile, is pouting and denying it to anyone who points it out. His kitchen gets commandeered and it feels like his older self is mocking him. Like every time he pulls Usopp to the galley, he's saying, "Look how easily I can touch him, compliment him, make him laugh. Look how weak and cowardly you are." and younger Sanji can't stand it.
He'd grown a bit distant from Usopp since realizing his romantic feelings for him back in Water 7- and isn't that fucked up? it was only after they were in a hotel for the night, Usopp well and truly not a part of the crew anymore, that Sanji had felt an aching in his heart. The same ache that followed him now, though it's far more pleasant than it had been in that hotel.
Eventually, there's some kind of portal that appears high above Sunny and very distant high pitched screaming. Familiar high pitched screaming.
"SANJI!"
Sanji gets a big grin on his face and without thinking he uses Sky Walk to meet the quickly growing speck in the shape of a person. He holds out his arms and catches a flailing post-TS Usopp in his arms.
"Oh thank god," he said, quickly wrapping his arms around Sanji's neck. Sanji lowered them down to the deck and they were immediately surrounded.
"Holy shit, I'm buff!" younger Usopp said.
"Did Sanji-san just jump into the sky?!" Brook exclaimed, with similar sentiments echoed by Luffy and Chopper, sparkles in their eyes. "How- what- how?"
"Older Usopp's outfit is looking pretty super too!"
"You're only saying that because I'm half-naked Franky," Usopp said, unimpressed. "Don't put me on the same level as you, weirdo."
"Haha, sure thing, no need for flattery."
"It wasn't."
"Not that I'm not enjoying all this- and loving that you're here, mon cher," -younger Sanji's eye twitched- "but you have a surefire route back, right?"
"Of course!" He pointed up at the still open portal above Sunny. "Zoro's threatening the devil fruit user to keep that open until we come back. He was actually the one to find the guy in the first place."
Sanji groaned. "Mossball's never gonna let me forget it."
"It's nice that some things stay the same." younger Zoro said, smug. "I still have to bail your ass out all the time."
"Shut the fuck up!" both Sanji's yelled simultaneously.
Usopp laughed. "He gets into his share of trouble, but Zoro, you really shouldn't say anything. I mean, just wait until you lose your-"
Sanji slapped a hand over Usopp's mouth. "They're not there yet, darling."
Younger Sanji and younger Usopp's faces darkened.
Sanji could feel Usopp pout under his hand. "You don't even know what I was going to say."
Sanji rolled his eye. "I can guess."
"I could've meant his favourite haramaki. Or one of his swords. Or-"
"Dear, there's only one thing you constantly bring up that mosshead lost. I get that he's never told anyone how it happened, but you really need to let it go."
"How can a storyteller let go of a mystery like that?? You might as well ask me to cut off my tongue right now."
"Ah, but then how would you taste all the snacks I make for you?"
"You know, I survived for two years on a deadly, man eating island with nothing but-"
Younger Usopp loudly cleared his throat. Sanji and Usopp turned to him. With his flush still very visible, he said, "You can get down now."
"Aww, but Sanji's arms are comfy," Usopp whined, nuzzling Sanji's neck.
Younger Sanji stomped towards them. "Either older me lets you down, or I-"
Sanji raised a brow. "You what? You're just an arrogant brat sailing through Paradise. No matter what you do, you can't force me- either of us, to do anything."
Younger Sanji bristled and Sanji was starting to feel like taking him down another peg, make him know his own faults before they're cruelly laid out in front of him, one crewmate disappearing after another. Usopp tugged on his collar, stopping him.
"We talked about this," Usopp said.
Sanji took a deep breath. "Yeah." He turned to his younger self. "Sorry, it's- I'm angry at myself. Not you."
"But aren't we-?"
Sanji shook his head. "Don't worry about it."
And with a few more accidental slip ups and very obvious flirting, Sanji and Usopp bid their pre-timeskip crew adieu and Sanji flies them up to the portal. Usopp definitely says something along the lines of "I'm so glad you're okay, I was really worried and I don't know what I'd do without you." and then he and Sanji share a kiss mid-air before finally going through the portal.
The portal snaps shut and most of the crew ends up hanging out and talking about what the heck just happened in a "oh huh, what an interesting event" type of way. Meanwhile, younger Sanji and Usopp are staring, mouths agape and incredibly flustered, at the spot where their older selves made out with each other.

A scattering of DoS universe ideas:
Having quartz and glowstone available as building materials for things like statues and lamps and the Irene fountain has such sinister implications when you know they come from the Nether.
Phoenix Drop is regarded as a refuge for runaways and criminals which is how the people who live there end up as such a diverse and insanely loyal group. There's something about the understanding and acceptance you can find there despite your flaws and past that draws people in.
(inspired by @xyxofspades) Nana's real name is Shichi, she and her eleven siblings were named with numbers corresponding to the order of their birth and when she fled Tu'la and assumed the identity of Nana she picked a name related to the number seven as a reminder of home since she was the seventh child.
Zianna Ro'Meave is related to Ivy and Lily. I need some distance between Zane and Aaron for Juror Aaron reasons, so Lily is Ivy's cousin on one side of the family and Zianna is Ivy's cousin on the other side. They were very close when they were young and see each other as sisters, even calling each other sisters. In Tu'la, it's not uncommon for families to have full-blooded siblings who range in age from as little as 9 or 10 months apart to 25 years between the eldest and youngest, so some people do sometimes believe they're blood sisters. This is inspired by a post I saw a while back about Garroth knowing the Tu'lan language because Zianna was from Tu'la and taught the boys the language when they were young, which I adore but have no clue who wrote it. Jacob thinks of Zane as a cousin or uncle, which is why he trusted him enough to take the amulet.
There's a Nether portal under the central cathedral in O'khasis. Part of the High Priest's duties is maintaining both the portal and the wards around it that only allow entry to someone who's had the proper blessings performed on them. Zane negotiated with Shad to be brought back as a Shadow Knight in the event of his death before he set his great plan in motion as a failsafe. I'm thinking Shad probably tried to kill him and Zane unveiled himself with some flirty charismatic line about being the mortal face of Irene and only in the embrace of a lover (his own lovers, but really playing up the being Irene's vassal/vessel part) can he unveil himself and be seen as his true self.

A bit of Road Trip!
(A.K.A. Part One of a Convention Series) | Part 2
----------------------------
The guys were loading up the Turtle Tank with the supplies they need for this particular trip.
And while they were calling it a road trip, they were really going to a smaller convention outside New York, if only to throw off anyone who thinks they would only go to a local con.
The reason they were taking the Tank, and not just portaling there, was because they needed a cover for the very annoying nosy people who might just question where they kept everything. Plus they would portal anything else they need in to their hotel later.
And any questions about the legality of said tank were just show a Oddly Specific Modded Vehicle Permit. The wonders of knowing someone in the government, who might've been unwilling adopted into the family.
The Purple Dragons were also coming with in a large van carrying extra equipment, and product that they would be selling.
Yes, they planned to have a booth, which would be selling their merch including the usual t-shirts, prints, stickers, acrylic stands, keychains, some plushies, and after getting proper permits, Caffeinated Turtle products.
Though Mikey was going to be in the Artist Alley selling his own stuff that he does under a different Alias, because people aren't supposed to know he's Mandarin.
Donnie was going over the checklist again, "Alright, we have everything that is necessary for now. Everyone get in, and I'll contact the Dragons to meet us in an hour, and remember to keep your cloaking broaches on at all times." They say as they walk over and give Splinter a stack of papers, "And Papa, here's where we will be, extra contact information incase you need to get ahold of us, and a reservation for your favorite Yokai Resort and Spa. Yes, we also want you to have some fun while we're gone. And we will miss you aswell."
While Donnie is listing this off the boys, April and the Caseys also say their goodbyes, Mikey hands him a travel bag, and Raph gives him a 'Happy Birthday' card. April also gives him a kiss and some of his favorite snacks, and the Caseys gift him a new Robe.
"Have fun, and relax Dad. We didn't plan this on purpose, things just lined up weird." Leo says while holding the portal to the resort open. "Just call us if you need anything, and we'll probably drop everything to help ya."
Splinter while a little upset at first, was very happy to be getting away from them, and practically ran through the portal right after.
"You'd think he didn't love us with that kind of hustle." April joked while they piled into the Tank.
The drive out of New York was fairly uneventful, though meeting up with the Dragons was a little tricky, given the traffic, and slightly jumble directions, but they agreed to stop at a few specific places on the way to make up for it.
One of those places being an apparently popular roadside attraction that was worth the hype. They got some kinda tacky things from the gift shop, took some pictures that will be posted like a week after the con, and got some gimmicky snacks for the road.
It was going to take a few hours or so to reach where the Convention was taking place, so there was alot of road trip games planned, and maybe a movie playing to pass the time.
From what Shelldon was relaying from the Dragonete drones, the Dragons were making plans to check out some things going on in the area when they weren't needed at the Con. Like some game tournaments that were being held, or a small tech place nearby.
The group as a whole hope things go well, and they don't get 'discovered' and 'revealed' by some random fan. But at least there was supposed to be some guests that they wanted to meet, and get at least a picture off/with.
Here's hoping at least.
-----------------
Masterpost
So I have this only kinda planned out, and even then I really don't know where to go with this.
I might just summarize a bunch of stuff, or I might try writing out the guys doing different stuff, and post them as their own separate things. I really don't know yet.
I am open to suggestions, and critics!
I honestly forgot that Twitchcon was this weekend, and I honestly had a Convention Post Series planned for months. I just originally wanted to draw stuff to post along with them, but I will shelve that for later.

"Welcome to Heaven" review
Time for a change of scenery and to learn more about Heaven. Spoilers.
Nice to see Vaggie told the truth instead of attempting to lie. I am curious, would that have even worked on Charlie? Does Charlie have a power to tell if people are lying to her, since her father is the “father of lies”?
That was sweet of Vaggie, but there is a lining of “Vaggie sacrifices more for the relationship” idea in my Charlie/Vaggie trailer breakdown here. LUCKILY there hasn’t been much of that as I expected in this season. At least we’ll find out how Vaggie lost her Exorcist title.
CHAGGIE KISS! Wait why’d she kiss her on the eyepatch? Also I’m NOW just wondering if Vaggie DOES still have her left eye, but is covering it up Japanese anime style cause it contains a great Exorcist power?
Here’s Cherri Bomb making an “explosi.. eh I’m not going to finish that lame joke. I do like the new Australian accent they gave her.
I’m not liking where this is going. I feel like this is going to result in a situation like in the pilot where Angel and co. embarrass Charlie’s goal in front of everyone in Heaven. I mean (spoilers based on the HH S1 trailer) something is going to make the next Extermination happen, but I hope it’s something else.
You really should have told the others to behave themselves before leaving Charlie.
A new portrait of Charlie and her parents in the background. It’s hard to make out, so hopefully someone posts a proper version of it soon.
Charlie casually throwing Vaggie through portal XD.
(Pen sees Cherri) knew this was coming here we go. Bet Pen X Cherri shippers are going to enjoy that moment.
Anyone else think the eye symbol at Heaven’s gate is also a reference to the Sheikah Eye from Legend of Zelda?
Saint Peter? With her last name being Morningstar, you think he would realize she is Lucifer’s daughter.
Charlie Morningbreakfast
Cursing is allowed in Heaven. Interesting to know, you think there will be a gag for when someone curses, everyone else covers their ears “Harry Potter Musicals” style?
So angels can take on different forms. Also was it just me or did the old angel’s bird form look like Stella a bit? I did have this theory that touched on the idea of how after fallen angels went to Hell, they would evolve to become different from what those in Heaven look like and create subspecies, and it looks that is true.
The angel finally has a name, Sera. Oh she may sound nice now but wait till we see her evil side! Right there she says, “you are gifted to be here”, life if she wasn’t Lucifer’s daughter she would have been really rude to Charlie.
Even though she says she is the highest of the Seraphim (the highest rank in Heaven’s hierarchy if pic of said topic are any indication) I feel like there is going to be a moral Heaven thing where every angel is treated equal. I thought I bring this up now cause when Sera reveals herself as a villain, I hope later on she becomes an antagonist (replacing Adam) who fights against Charlie’s redemption plan but will have trouble when other Seraphim’s and Archangels side with Charlie.
Sounds like Emily is the Charlie of Heaven XD.
Got some interesting designs like a Hellhound looking creature with hooves and that…thing she is next to. There is also someone that looks a lot like Vaggie but with no mouth, who “COINCIDENLY” has a close eye where Vaggie has an eyepatch.
I think that was a FNAF/Chuck E Cheese mascot band refence there.
MOLLY HOLY CRAP! Looks like we found the motivation to get Angel to redeem himself! I was going to wonder why she was spider looking creature when you think Heaven only has people in human/cute animal like forms, till I saw that crab looking angelic being in the same scene. Also on the bottom right, I think that’s a Sara Bellum from PPG reference.
Again. Sera being rude, though Emily sounds very ally like.
Vaggie being jealous XD
LUTE? Wait does this mean Adam is wearing a mask/helmet/whatever too? I bet he’s fugly under it XD.
Damn the Amazon Prime pause button. It keeps making the video skip ahead instead of doing its job!
OKAY HUGE REVEAL THERE! HOW COME NO ONE ELSE KNOW ABOUT THE EXTERMINATONS? Do the archangels at least know? Either way this could actually be good but I’ll get into that later.
Okay so Sera seems to be one of those “doing bad to do good” kind of characters as she just wants to protect Heaven, explains why she looked so sad in Charlie’s story, but I feel like she will have prejudices too. It also sounds like Adam was the sole person who came up with the Exterminations.
FINALLY confirmation of Vaggie being a former Exorcist! :D… Wait… Oh crap! :(
ADAM GAVE VAGGIE HER NAME! CALLED IT!! https://www.tumblr.com/commenter2/718141081445957632/odd-theory-but-do-you-think-vaggie-got-her-name?source=share
That was a hellborn child! I had suspicions that Exorcist also killed Hellborn demons during the Exterminations (Viv did once say they kill anything that wasn’t indoors) but still its more shocking than knowing it was a correct fact.
I do like that the Extermination scene is a flashback and not taking place in the finale like I predicted.
Also as messed up as what happened to Vaggie, losing her eye and wings (more on that later) at least it led to her instantly meeting Charlie. Hey they are wearing their pilot outfits :D
At least we can look forward to a Vaggie vs. Lute fight in the future.
Since it was shown that Lute was able to wound Vaggie when she was still an angel, my idea from my “Overture” review of the dead Exorcist being killed by one of its own is a little stronger now. I still think someone else like the threat impersonating Lilith did it, but I'm still keeping that as a possibility until we learn more.
If the first human soul to arrive in Heaven doesn’t know what qualifies to get into Heaven, then Charlie redemption plan deserves a chance. It also makes me curious on what the other angels think qualifies. Also again how would Angel be any different than having Adam there.
WAIT WHAT ABOUT ABEL? He was murdered by his brother long before Adam died, what happened to him after he died?
See I told you we’d get another pilot situation, though at least it’s better than last time as Angel did resist for a time. Heck Husk and Sir Pentious should also be considered proof of being able to redeem since Pen was being nice to a degree and Husk was actually trying to help Angel.
Seriously, Adam has been cursing up a storm, yet you react to when Charlie does it? Maybe like us they were just surprised that she can curse, given how good she is.
Looks like I was wrong about the situation leading to pilot vibes. GOOD! Also great to see Angel stand up to Val.
Now that we know that Val’s shirt are his wings, it makes the scene of Niffty ripping a piece off hilarious XD.
This seems enough proof to me that someone can be redeemed, don’t try and change the subject Adam.
So no angelic being in that room properly knows how judging a soul works? While odd, I wonder if this is a result of after what happened to Lucifer, maybe soon after others got sent to Hell for minor things and eventually no one dared to question or go against God’s (or whoever else’s) judgment and now they are at this point where they don’t recall things or fear becoming a fallen angel like Lucifer. I’m (semi) counting this as another one of my ideas coming true, as I did bring the idea of Heaven not knowing how to loosen the restrictions to getting into Heaven.
Though a bit understandable from Charlie’s POV and thankfully she got lucky there, her ranting to Heaven is another time where Charlie should have taken up at least SOME of Vaggie’s words.
So glad to see Adam’s ego and stupidity finally leading to some good for the heroes, as it will be interesting to see how parts of Heaven will react to learning about the Exterminations.
Trailer screen shot. At least I’m glad that Sera isn’t what I thought she was going to be like.
Oh don’t phrase it like that Charlie! You’re making my “Lilith wants to destroy Heaven” theory sound like it could happen :(
Again when looking at that statue of Sera, she looks like Stella. Also if I’m right the other creature is Emily, who I guess can take on the form of a unicorn.
Aww crap Adam revealed Vaggie’s secret. I know I brought up the idea of Charlie and Vaggie’s relationship being tested, but I just meant personality wise not this, mostly cause I though Charlie already knew. Then again Charlie can be an idiot at times. Hopefully Charlie can be mature about this and thinking back to the trailer, the two do loving sing to each other, heck looks like Vaggie gets her wings back. So yeah, I’m guessing that they will be fine and their relationship will be stronger than ever.
Seriously Sera, after what you see your going to still allow Adam to do the Extermination. Then again she might not have a choice here. This is quickly confirmed with Sera expressing the “Angels scared of suffering the same fate as Lucifer” idea I brought up. Also obviously we need something to continue the series.
So Sera and Emily ARE mother and daughter, I was starting to wonder. Actually speaking of family and thinking back to “Queen Bee”, Bee brought up the question of how fallen angels and such are related, I wonder how related Lucifer and Sera are. Could Charlie and Emily be cousins? If they are, then Vaggie won’t have to worry about Charlie leaving her XD.
At least Charlie has her first angelic ally. I wonder if what Sera said and Emily clenching her fist IS foreshadowing her fate? If my idea of her being able to transform into a horse comes true, what if her demon horse form takes on the form of the horse at the end of the Spindlehorse credits.
Aw man we’re not going to see how Charlie feel about this or more importantly,
Whew that was intense near the end. We got to see Heaven and learned some big things about it like the residents such as Molly being there or how angels have NO IDEA how judging a soul works. Then there was a big reveal that no one before the events here even knew about the Exterminations, that was a great twist if not a bit odd.
It was also great to learn more about Vaggie’s now confirmed past and be introduced to Emily and how she agrees with Charlie’s thoughts instead, making the argument less one sided. It was also funny seeing how she and Charlie got along so well which led to Vaggie being jealous at one point. Hopefully for her, Emily and Charlie turn out to be cousins.
It was nice having Cherri be in the episode, even if she almost led to Angel doing bad things and getting Charlie in trouble again. Speaking of which, it was GREAT to see that Angel HAS changed since joining Charlie. Hopefully if he learns that Molly is there, a great cameo BTW, he will amp that up to 11.
I also personally liked how stupid Adam looked in it, and now that people know the truth about Exterminations, I think it could lead to him being demoted (both related to Heaven's hierarchy and as a main antagonist in the series) and my idea of Charlie being the “chosen one” to save everyone from a great threat or the idea I have for what season 2 could be about.
The only downsides were that this was kind of the expected outcome given the episode’s place. Maybe if this was the 2nd to last episode and the finale was an hour long, it could have helped but I’m not complaining.
It was also a bummer that we didn’t see more of how Charlie feels about discovering Vaggie was an angel. At least the S1 trailer makes it clear that thing between them will be fine in the end.
The things about no one knowing about the Exterminations, or what the qualifications to get into Heaven really are, but I’m not complaining. This is actually a perfect excuse for my season finale epilogue idea where after the Extermination, Heaven agrees with Charlie and they need to rework or explore the qualifications required to get into Heaven, and Charlie plans on having a big say in it so that more people can get into Heaven whether it be after they die or through her hotel. Of course some people of Hell and Heaven will be against Charlie’s ideas, so Charlie will have to go through a multi-season storyline where she needs to keep convincing more and more powerful people that this would be a good thing, eventually having to convince God himself. All the while evil forces will try and progress its/their agenda, leading to big fights.
Now we wait for the season finale.
As always let me know your thoughts about the episode.

Hello!
I’m trying to write a story or at least a short one. Where Constantine and Raven cross paths with the Rogues. I have a pretty good idea for it but even though I’ve read comics. I still don’t fully understand them I need an idea about there personality and fighting style. I’m hoping that with your help and a few other Rogue fans. I can get a better idea. Cause finding proper information is like finding a needle in a haystack for them. Constantine is literally the easiest out of all of them.😭
I really hope for good information. I want to do right by them.🥺
Anyway my chosen Rogue’s are… Captain Cold, Heatwave, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, Captain Boomerang and Trickster (Axel Walker).
Basically the ones in comics right now.
P.S. I’m also mad about Owen. He had so much potential.
Every time I checked my inbox and saw this meage on top, I reminded myself to answer it some time the same day. And every time, I forgot. I don't even know where to begin to apologize, nonnie, especially it's been exactly a month since you've sent me this. I hope, if you are still around, and if you see this, you can forgive me. And if you are pissed at me, then you are completely right too I'M SO SORRY I SWEAR
To be honest, I can read every issue every Rogues member has ever appeared in (and for some members, I did lol) and still would not be good at answering questions like this. I'll tag few blogs I know post about the Rogues at the end of my response and tag this properly so that more people will see it and hopefully share their opinions as well. :)
I apologize in advance if this is very scattered, all over the place but I've never been very good at explaining stuff like this so... yeah.
I'm assuming the fight takes between John&Raven and the Rogues.
The Rogues are Flash's villains. And Flash has superspeed; and having superspeed comes with infinite amount of skills and abilities. There is really nothing a speedster can't do. So how does the Rogues, a bunch of non-powered criminals (except for Mark, if we want to go into a bit detail lol) with only their gadgets and costumes keep up with him? How can a speedster like Barry Allen can struggle against the Rogues sometimes?
The answer is that the Rogues have the advantage of planning their heists in advance. Excessive planning, may I add! Rogues don't have to keep up with Flash's whereabouts, because Flash will always go where the Rogues exactly want him. But the Flash doesn't have the advantage of always anticipating the Rogues' next move. There are so many other reasons of course but no need to go into more details. So, in your story, whether the Rogues plans the fight with John and Raven ahead or if it occurs completely spontaneous, I believe the Rogues wouldn't be caught off guard. I mean, they fight speedsters on a weekly basis, so it is hard for them to get intimitated by anyone else.
Now another thing, and I don't know if it's just me or if it is a fandom thing, but I always got the impression that Rogues hate magic. Like I always believed that to be a fact. They don't like it at all. Maybe "superpowers" is what they really don't like but I guess, to them, it's all the same.
Len in The Flash #750
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rogues don't want to get involved in anything that is above their paygrade. They hate their plans getting out of control and things getting messy and magic IS messy, that is an understatement. So you can use this in the story; they will fight John and Raven if they have to, but they won't care about winning. Of course, they CAN win the fight, but if you use the canon fact that the Rogues never faced John and Raven before in your story, then I assume winning wouldn't be their priority. They'll buy themselves time while putting the capes through their paces (damn right 😎).
You can focus on the Rogues' gadgets as well. In my personal opinion, Mirror Gun is the most powerful and dangerous out of all of them: it can open portals, it can create duplicates, it can fire bolts of light energy, IT CAN HYPNOTIZE AND MIND CONTROL PEOPLE, it can be used to transmute objects into glass, it can be used for dimensional travel, it can trap people inside those mirror dimensions etc... (SOURCES: here and here)
Here is a panel of Sam blinding Wonder Woman with his Mirror Gun. Justice League America #158
Tumblr media
I put this panel especially because Wonder Woman is heavily affiliated with magic.
You can find more info on their gadgets on the internet, and if you'd like, I can look into it and send you some links if I can find anything.
I was gonna mention Hartley and his flute too but I realized that he isn't in the Rogues in your story so I'll skip that.
And lastly, I'd recommend you read New Year's Evil: Rogues, a one-shot where the Rogues are in the land of Zhutan searching for a powerful sun disk of Meshta (the creator god of the Saravistraism- DC’s version of Zoroastrianism) to make their souls eternally free from Neron (DC’s version of Satan). It involves heavy supernatural themes so maybe it helps.
Also, Teen Titans: Cold Case might be a good read. There is a fight between Teen Titans and the Rogues and although magic isn't in the center, Rogues fight against members Cyborg, Red Devil and Wonder Girl (Cassie). (And Vic and Tim actually admit that they couldn't take the Rogues!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And most importantly, they fight as a TEAM and a FAMILY. Their diverse skills and abilities complete each other, thanks years of working and planning and fighting together side by side.
Soooo yeah. I'm pretty sure I forgot half the things I was gonna add and forty thousand anecdotes but that's why I'll tag some of the awesome people in the Rogues fandom underneath this so that they can add their own opinions as well. If they want, of course, no pressure! Please feel free to ignore this.
Thank you so very very very much for your message nonnie. And I'm so so so very sorry for taking so long to answer it. I hope I made it up to you a little.
@gorogues @tricksterrune @t-bombs @longitudinalwaveme @belphegor1982 @saltywithsarcasm @smartshipfriday my brain is all over the place rn i can't think of anyone else but if you see this in the search or on your dash pls feel free to reblog it and share your opinions <33

While reading some Yan! TWST and listening to Enstars I had a thought/idea..
(I know my “ideas” are prolly definitely not original sooo if y’all find something like the ones I’ve been posting about please tell me..! 😭 My ideas are in my Masterlist so please tell me if you find one like it)
What if we ourselves found or (somehow) created a mirror that will lead us back “home”?
———————————————————
Yan! TWST and (implied) Yan! Enstars x Forgetful!Reader
Warnings: Absolutely cringe. I don’t have the energy to try and make it “better” and my head & eyes hurt
Now just imagine a Reader who easily forgets even the simplest things(basically how I am irl..) and while they were like with the characters they suddenly remembered what they were planning on doing
They wanted to tell Crowley they didn’t need his help anymore with the portal/mirror to their home bc they found/created one but unfortunately forgot where his office is. So, they decided to ask the characters where it is
The conversations, bickering, and arguing immediately stops. They turn to the reader and say “What?” Reader repeats their question and how they found/created a mirror back to their home
They all panic and some ask them “Are you leaving?! Why are you leaving?!!”
Reader replies with “Huh? No, I’m not leaving” the characters are relieved and releases the breath they didn’t know they were holding “but” everyone freezes
“But what..?” Some gulp, some are nervous, some are planning an abduction..
“I will leave temporarily..Don’t worry! It’s just a short trip back home. I’ll just pack my laptop, cellphone, and some favorite clothes!”
“Are you sure? That’s all?”
“Mhm! Oh..! You guys can join me if you want 😊”
“Of course.”
“WAIT!— Uhm..Never mind..”
“Hm? Why? Do you not want us in your home?” (The characters that were hoping to maybe steal a few of your things are now sad..)
“Oh no no..It’s not that! I really don’t mind you guys in my house but..If I bring you guys along they might notice I’m back”
“They?”
“Yup! My coworkers”
“What’s wrong with them finding out? Do I need to kill them?”
“Uhh..Let’s just say they’re..A bit obsessed..If possible I’d want to just get my things and leave without a word”
“I see..” ‘Looks like I need to kill someone..’
“Sooo..I guess that’s my plan! [Insert Dramatic Loud Gasp] MIKA oh shit..I need to at least say goodbye to him..Oh poor Mika, he most likely spent days and weeks crying nonstop..” Reader Frowns
“Who the heck is Mika??” The characters have a dark look in their eyes that looks like they’re ready to kill
“A friend. *sigh* I need to give him a proper explanation or else he might think I abandoned him..Hell, he probably already thinks that..Wait a minute— Abandoned..?” [Insert another loud dramatic gasp]
“What now..”
“RITSU!! MY POOR BOY IM SO SO SORRY! HEKWNSJW I DONT EVEN DESERVE TO LIVE FOR LEAVING YOU ALONE IM SO SORRY MY LOVE”
“Who? Wait, did you just say ‘love’?” They smile creepily sweetly with veins on their foreheads ready to pop any second
Before they can question them further Reader already left sprinting towards their dorm in a hurry, all previous plans long forgotten
~The End?~

Hi girl20, i saw your post and safe travels to you! I've got a few asks, hopefully one or more will resonate :) What other specific hand movements do you think Tissaia has for specific situations? Habits, (un-)learned, magical or otherwise? Talking to nobles vs students vs staff?Since Anya said she tried to incorporate more of her heritage (dance iirc), how similar do you think Yennefer and Tissaia's magic wielding is?
Anya has talked about incorporating elements of Indian dance into Yennefer's magic wielding this season, yes. Which makes it very elegant and pretty to watch.
It's hard to say, with Tissaia, since we've hardly seen her do any proper magic. My whole thing with Tissaia revolves around her control, and part of that is using her hands to keep her magic 'holstered'. I talked about that a bit in this post.
Tissaia's default position is to have her hands linked at her waist. We also see her hold onto tables, or clench her fists - all ways to keep her hands occupied and not ready to cast.
This got long, and also doesn't answer your question!! It just turned into 'let's watch Tissaia do magic'.
When we have seen her do magic, it seems effortless.
Tumblr media
The most we see herself exert herself in season 1 is also the sexiest scene in the entire show™
Tumblr media
But the rest of the time, she needs minimal movement or effort.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She seems not to need her hands to call a portal.
Tumblr media
I've always said that Fringilla dosing Tissaia with dimeritium wasn't as effective as it could have been because we hadn't seen what Tissaia was capable of. Neither did we know what she planned to do at the battle. She hadn't used her powers during the battle, so we could maybe assume she was saving herself to be the last resort (which turned out to be Yennefer) but none of that is clear in the narrative of the episode. If we knew Tissaia was the 'big gun', then we'd have been more affected by her being taken out of the game. But we didn't. We just had to assume that this was a much reduced version of what Tissaia was capable of.
Tumblr media
In season 2, despite everyone thinking that Tissaia would likely be without her magic due to severe dimeritium poisoning, we see her do more impressive magic in the first episode than we have in the whole of season 1.
On the battlefield she's reading the last memory/sight of dead soldiers - again, with no effort. (I'm led to believe this is a fairly high level spell/power/idk what we call it)
Tumblr media
Then we see her do healing magic, which again we kind of assumed she could do because she prevented Yennefer from dying when she attempted suicide. This seems to be taking effort from Artorius, but we don't really see Tissaia strain, even though Vilgefortz feels the need to join in.
Tumblr media
And then comes the torture scene, where Tissaia zaps (idk the technical terms) Cahir without blinking, causing searing pain.
Tumblr media
It's not really clear whether the strain we see on her face when she actually sticks her fingers into his head is because the magic is difficult, or because she's barely restraining her rage. (I think it's the latter, personally)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we do see her do fancy things with her hands for magic, but it's because she's carving letters. I don't know if we can take this as an indication of her casting habits/stance because she's doing calligraphy, basically. But it's the most elegant we've seen her magic look. (And it confirms that she is not left-handed)
Tumblr media
Just because her hesitation before she writes Yen's name kills me...
Tumblr media
Again, when she's getting rid of the tablet (is she going to do another one?? Or is she not bothered now that Yen is back) we see an elegant use of her hands.
Tumblr media
And then the last bit of magic we really see her do is when she blasts Stregobor away from Yen.
Tumblr media
We see Yen do a similar thing when she gets the big monster thing and Francesca away from Ciri.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I think that might be the only comparable thing we've seen them do?
So, to answer the question, I don't really know that we've seen Tissaia use magic in the same ways we've seen Yennefer use it (i.e. in battle, to make an escape etc) so it's hard to judge the similarities. Tissaia's magic seems effortless and utlititarian. Elegant at times, but not showy.
With Yennefer we often see strain and effort, when she's using magic, and we see her do it a lot more often.
I think we do see Yennefer start to mirror Tissaia's stance in season 2 when she's with Ciri, but more in posture and how she holds her hands than in magic.
I assume after the second half of season 3 we'll have seen Tissaia do some big magic, so maybe we can revisit this then.
(Also, if I've forgotten any bits of Tissaia doing magic, please feel free to point them out - these were off the top of my head)

Building off my last two posts about a Parahumans/MSGWFM crossover (which I should probably name at some point if I'm gonna keep posting about it)...I want to sort out the details of Nora Samaya's powers and plans. And since they're heavily based on the plans of Elnora Samaya (aka Prospera Mercury) in MSGWFM, there will be indirect spoilers for that series.
Figuring Out Prospera's Powers
So, between the setup and what we know about GWitch !Prospera...Prospera's trigger event involves her daughter falling ill in the literal fallout of Gold Morning, her powers let her save little Eri's life, and either her powers or some other tinker she recruits can:
Build power armor (as an analogue to Aerial and other mobile suits)
Ideally, make that power armor fly (because Aerial, and also tying into one of the things Tempest!Prospero did)
Build what's left of Eri into the power armor somehow
Do...something with the armor that parallels the forbidden GUND format in some way
Clone Eri
Convince Prospera that uploading her daughter into the Machine Army isn't insane
Nora's trigger event fits what the Weaver Dice: Tinkers doc calls a Limit Tinker, triggers derived from either an abstract obsession or one which relates to a person. The examples given are an increasingly agnostic minister, a teen with an abusive father and a boy who goes on a vigilante quest to rescue his sister, but trying to find some way to save a daughter's life seems like it fits pretty well, too.
Unfortunately, Limit tinkers don't have very clear guidelines for how the triggers influence their power; they can or need to dip their toes into fields outside their specialty. And mixing other tinker categories doesn't help much.
The all-absorbing focus of hyperspecialist tinkers fits (and especially fits Prospera's canon characterization), but the focus on that core specialty clashes with limit tinkers' focus outside their specialty.
I could probably twist the situation to make a mad scientist trigger make sense, but the guidelines are pretty weak there. Power for a price; self-cyborgs, workaholics, loss of sanity through shard nonsense.
The chaos tinker's lack of information problem could definitely apply, since Nora isn't a doctor and doesn't know what she'd need to cure Eri, but the effects are some mixture of unhelpful for my writer's block and harmful to the story.
But I'm starting to get some ideas.
The relationship is the key factor here in determining what the condition or outside factor is in enabling or optimizing the specialty.
Okay. The relationship between Nora and Eri is one of a desperate parent and a dying preschooler. Nora is obsessed with trying to find some way to help her child, but each lead she follows turns out to be a dud, a waste of time as she becomes increasingly aware that Eri's time is limited. She starts to wonder whether it would have been better to just book it for the nearest portal and try to find a doctor on the other side, to triage Eri's problems rather than looking for a cure while she gets sicker and sicker.
Prospera's Powers
Prospera's primary tinker focus is on making drones...but her AI programming skills are mediocre, bordering on nonexistent. Like the reactor hyperspecialist, her technology is reliant on a single point of failure—Eri. Dipping into cyborgy stuff, Prospera can build a combination life support and drone control system around her daughter.
But she can't build complex drones. She can build a hovering chunk of metal with a laser gun or a shield or something, but not something complex or multi-function. She's limited in the number of drones she can build, since Eri doesn't get super-multitasking or anything. And most importantly, Prospera can't build anything nuanced enough to feel like a proper body for Eri. Nothing humanoid or even particularly articulated, just...things.
Prospera's Plans
Like some other limit tinkers, Prospera does not instinctively know her specialty or limitations; she had to figure it out through trial and error, and still doesn't understand everything. She assumes that, since she can build an Eri casket that lets her control her drones, she should be able to design something that lets Eri control other tech.
Maybe even the Machine Army, which clearly has the capability to construct complicated machines that mimic things found in cities. With the guidance of a human intelligence, perhaps they could even build a human-looking android.
Maybe Prospera tried something more reasonable (like asking Dragon for help), but was turned down (because Dragon didn't think Prospera could maintain Eri's robody and didn't have the resources to spare on something like that). But I wouldn't say that the Machine Army is her last resort; it's just a plan she jumped to once the most obvious and sane routes turned out to be duds. She doesn't want to endlessly follow potential leads to save Eri again.
Anyways, she finds another tinker she can work with—Belmeria Winston. Her power focuses on creating augmented clones, which she's using on behalf of [yet-undeveloped analogue to Peil Technologies], but also puts to work in Prospera's lab. They grow several Ericht clones for Prospera to build into more drone control thingies, as well as one free-roaming clone—partly because it's assumed she'll be able to use Eri-based technology better than most, partly as a template for the future Eri-droid that Eri's machine army will construct.
To accomplish this, Prospera joins Cathedra. (As mentioned in the previous post about this fic, Cathedra is a hero team in this fic.) Cathedra gives her resources, access to fellow tinkers' notes, and an insulation from outside disruptions. As long as she helps maintain Cathedra's stock of power armor, she can pursue her personal projects in peace.
Summary
Prospera creates drones, which she controls from a central server thing. As far as anyone knows, that's all there is to it. She works with another tinker to produce a clone of her dead daughter; around the same time, she coincidentally figures out how to run more or more complex drones.
Secretly, her drones are remote-controlled by Eri or some Eri clones. She's struggling against the limitations of her tinker powers, which prevent her from accomplishing her goal of bringing Eri back (in robot form). She plans to overcome those limitations by hijjacking a surviving cluster of the Machine Army and having their tech build a Robo Eri.
There's still a lot I need to figure out. Like, the justification for having Suletta exist feels kinda weak. I need to have Suletta (a GWitch fanfic with all the core cast except Suletta would be like a Ward fanfic without Breakthrough), but I don't want it to be obvious that I was obligated to write her in.
And I need to find some way to reconcile Prospera's involvement with Cathedra, Cathedra being based out of the Asticassia, and Suletta being both unfamiliar with the school and unfamiliar to its duelists (and other students). That, or adjust/discard one of those parameters to make things fit more smoothly. And I need to figure out what the actual plot is going to be, of course.

🖊 for Riven and G'raha. I know there's been some awkwardness in the Rivenverse, but I'm not sure how it all fits.
Awkwardness is actually a pretty good descriptor. And to preface, @erickgage jokes that I pretty much deal in self-indulgent fantasy in the fact that I take the chances I can to drag this man up and over the coals for the bullshit he pulled. Which I feel is completely valid because as far as I know so far, there's not a lot of stuff in the fandom that actually has him dealing with the consequences of his actions. However I do try to be as unbiased I can in terms of lore and story. Try being the key word.
Anyhoo. G'raha does not really endear himself to Riven the first time they met, first because of the stunts he pulls while she's getting the reagents needed to break the Tower's security, and second because of the hero worship. Hero worship 100% creeps Riven the fuck out.
(CT stuff is also in that weird gray area of stuff I'm ironing out due to the overhaul. Suffice to say, Riven did settle into a working relationship with G'raha, she does respect him as a scholar and fighter, and she was upset when he did seal himself away.)
And then we have post Stormblood. The Scions are dropping like flies, Riven's having panic flashbacks of the bloody banquet and how long it took to get her friends back, for all she knows Augustine and the others are on the chopping block next, and then mid fight with Elidibus of all people, her spirit gets yanked to a border crossing where this stranger is telling her not to fight the Empire, that she needs to cross to another world and ah don't worry you're still alive! Suffice to say, the moment the Exarch closed the doors in the Crystal Tower after Riven's proper arrival to the First, she read him the riot act. And because he was on her shit list at the time, the fact that he rapidly deflected her request of 'okay, can you bring the rest of my friends over' immediately made her suspicious, as was the explanation for the crossing spell.
And in all honestly, she had every right to be. The situation in the First was pretty fucking grim, and G'raha--rather Crystal Exarch, came from an even worse scenario. I have the feeling that he tried multiple things to get rid of the Light, they didn't work, and finally was forced to go 'well shit, this is the only thing I have and even then it's going to be bad.' I like to think that he didn't want to play fast and loose with the Warrior of Light's life, but at the same time it seemed as if he had no choice. Crystal Exarch comes off to me at certain times in the game as being ruthless, and you know what? You can't blame him. It was that same ruthlessness Riven was picking up on, because the Exarch didn't want to bring Augustine and the others over. He knew if he did, the plan would definitely be in peril. The Scions could be placated, Riven would certainly throw herself body and soul into trying to save the First--he was banking on her heart and empathy--and well...
One or four big brothers getting sus vibes and possibly acting on them would ruin the whole thing. So the Exarch placated Riven by saying he'd see what he would do while she met up with Alphy and Allisae, banking that the sheer 'what the FUCK' horror of current world events would sway Riven enough that she would believe him when he said he couldn't bring Augustine and the others over.
This did not work out well. Following Holminster Switch, Riven approached him again. The Exarch would hem and haw about the magic going off kilter and he wasn't able to get a lock on them. The next thing he then saw was Riven's back as she went through the portal.
Which then resulted in this.
Fortunately for the Exarch, he then caught a break, as Urianger's predictions...while not completely on the money (Sebastian becoming a gunbreaker was the outlier) did come true. He started to feel guilt for what he was doing, but it was too late to turn back. Especially when he and Riven had a much better working relationship than their first outing (though probably being much older and not as hero-worshippy had a lot to do with it).
And then Mt. Gulg happened. And if there's one thing Riven is very good at, it's choosing what's more important to deal with. She was hurt, she certainly felt betrayed, but if she gave into those feelings, she'd turn into the Norvrandt Lightwarden for certain. So she set them to the side, and set about breaking the Light's hold on the First--and defeating Emet-Selch. She kept the Exarch at a distance, and this continued up until shortly before the first Eden outing. Riven was back from the Source with the others--minus Reinhardt, who was still fighting his curse. They were meeting with the Exarch, something was said--they don't remember now--but it resulted in a blowout fight between the Exarch and Riven.
(which is in progress, here is a snippet)
TLDR: Exarch flung at Riven that it was her fault her friends were turning into Lightwardens due to bringing them to the First--to which Riven responded that yes, she knew it was her fault and she'd live with the guilt of harming them for the rest of her days but really did he have any right to talk after what he'd pulled, and again--the hero-worship/putting her on a pedestal. Which did make the Exarch check--because yep, he was guilty of it. And he'd used it in manipulating Riven's own feelings.
Elidibus then happened.
Suffice to say, while the fight did help clear the air--things were now officially awkward. Riven kept distance from the Exarch, though she did honor his wishes and helped revitalize him in the Source. The awkward generally continued though Endwalker, though by the time of Ultima Thule, the two of them were somewhat on more of an even keel--as working adventurers and scholars. So there's progress being made. They may never be truly close, but mutual respect works just fine.
The entire affair however, was the death knell for Riven being...agreeable when it came to her role as the Warrior of Light in any grand schemes or plans. Being sweet and accommodating was no longer an option, especially if her good nature was being used as a weapon against her.
(long live the gremlin)

8. What’s the oldest (longest since last update) fic you most want to continue (unfinished or no)?
I made a significant amount of progress on both The Beatin' Path and Lions Under Palm Trees before I faded from writing Total Drama, and some of my favorite scenes I've ever written are in those 'fics, but were never posted. I delayed mainly because writing those meant skipping past my unfinished 'fic The Lyin' Queen, which came chronologically earlier but which I was struggling with.
I like Staci as a character. I think she's goofy and confident. She was fun to write, but I was going to do this big twist reveal where you find out at the end that she has short term memory loss, and the entire story was written so that you just thought she was a little spacy until then. I wrote the prequel to Lyin' Queen (Life of a Loser) in two months or less, so I was young and ambitious and wasn't prepared for how much work Lyin' Queen was... and it only grew more difficult as I continued through school.
I'd like to get back to these stories though because sincerely they have some of my all-time favorite scenes and I still think about them a lot. Leonard is like, my all-time favorite Total Drama character and he was eliminated second in Pakithew and first in Ridonculous Race, which means it's Leonard time ALL the time and he's the best.
Tumblr media
Will there be an audience for these stories almost 10 years after I stopped writing them? Idk, maybe not... but when I think about how Leonard is fantastic, and how many scenes I never shared with the world, I am filled with love... (for Leonard).
Throwback to 2015-2016 when I was still posting mainly on dA and I used to type with the manual italics:
Tumblr media
Also to this day, Topher is still hands-down one of the best examples of a manipulative slimeball character I have ever seen in my life and I love him too <3
16. Have you ever stopped writing a fic/for a fandom because it wasn’t receiving enough attention?
I don't think I'd put it all on not receiving attention, but I did put No Anesthetic aside partly because it wasn't getting as much positive feedback as I hoped and partly because of criticism I received (not in the visible reviews portal, but elsewhere) that kind of hurt.
Honestly Youngblood is the only part of Danny Phantom that truly captivates me (though I do have a fondness for a few of the other ghosts), and I just didn't have the drive to carry that story through a wave of criticism when I had the alt option of writing for Fairly OddParents in a fandom that was much more welcoming to my ideas.
I don't want to make it sound like that's the only reason I stopped on this 'fic. There are a lot of scenes in No Anesthetic that are kind of info-dumpy and drag on, since Youngblood is learning about the Ghost Zone for the first time. I was juggling school, life, and other 'fics and the info-dumpy nature of this story made it more of a chore to write. It just didn't feel worth it because it was more work than my other stories, I didn't feel like anyone was enjoying it, and it was one extra thing I had on my plate, so I stopped.
Now that it's been 6 years, I'd like to rewatch Danny Phantom and maybe go back to this story someday to see if it sparks something in me. I like my worldbuilding ideas for the Ghost Zone, and like the TD 'fics above, I had a lot written. Here's one of my favorite WIP scenes:
Tumblr media
But also, my draft has a lot of missing scenes, and the story hangs in fragments because it doesn't really "go anywhere" and the plot is just a found family story without a lot of direction, so it would take a lot of revisions to make it less info-dumpy and flesh it into something with proper story beats. I might go back to it someday, but probably not any time soon. Or if I do go back to it, I might cut a lot of the plans I initially had and turn it into a shorter piece with just a few chapters instead. We'll see.
20. Have/Would you ever rewrite a fic? If yes, would you take the original down?
When I'm finished with Origin of the Pixies and Frayed Knots, I'd like to go back and clean them up a little. There are little lines here and there that bother me, and I used to spell out large numbers instead of typing them as numerals, there are info-dumpy moments, stuff like that. I force myself to keep moving forward because I'm worried that if I get nitpicky, I'll never finish, so just remember that you're reading stuff I started in 2016 and it is technically in a draft state /shrug.
I've not rewritten a 'fic before, but I do have some pieces from 10 years ago that I'd like to write with more sensitivity knowing what I know now. As one example, there's a 'fic I wrote that I never moved from dA to FFN because the relationship between those characters moved from platonic to romantic after one forced the other into a kiss. I didn't understand consent back then and media had shown me that people often liked surprise kisses and enjoyed platonic relationships that suddenly became romantic.
I played with those characters for a while before I discovered the concept of asexuality and realized that I headcanoned this character as ace. I no longer wanted that forced kiss to be associated with my storyline, so it still exists on dA because I don't like deleting 'fics, but I didn't move it to FFN with the others.
There's also another 'fic I wrote where it's pretty obvious that I didn't understand how the legal system works, so I didn't move that one over either because I don't think it's very good. I also have other 'fics on a site that's not AO3, FFN, or dA, but I posted under a different name back then and while they were fun, they were populated with OCs and I don't want to unbury them.
I have no interest in rewriting those old 'fics, but the general idea of "There are sensitive topics I didn't treat in the most sensitive way 10+ years ago" and "I really didn't understand how the adult world works" remains. I'm glad I've been writing for so long, but I do hope I never end up in a situation where someone wants to hold up my old stories as an example of what I believe now, because I was young and have a lot of old stuff I don't want to delete because this is my writer's journey and I don't want to throw it away /shrug.
This is the last Ask for this Ask game that I have in my inbox, so I'll wrap up the questions here unless anyone wants to send in more tonight. Thanks for the interest!

Artificial Intelligence or Artificial Learning Experiences?
Artificial Intelligence or "AI" has been a major topic amongst many working professionals the last few years, especially in the field of Education. Some days, I love AI and want to use it to the fullest and other days, I find myself having conversations with other educators who swear against using AI and relying solely on themselves to complete tasks relating to teaching. So, which is actually better?
What can we do with AI in Education?
As I explore the various programs, applications, and articles out there about AI, my "teacher brain" starts to get some amazing ideas! I see the implications of using AI to create lesson plans, resources, and teaching materials thus saving valuable time in preparation for teachers. MagicSchool will not only create a plan for you, but resources which can be downloaded into Google Docs, Google Forms, or even PDF's if you choose. The problems are unique, tailored to the subject matter and learning targets are met with a simple prompt in the AI tool. I've even personally introduced some AI programs to my fellow co-workers for trial and although we have certainly pinpointed some major issues with AI as relating to math, such as generating reliable images for Geometry, the overall consensus is positive. We can create games, lesson plans, activities, and even portals for students to engage in AI tools which are monitored. An important reminder for teachers; however, is, that AI must be checked for accuracy! Education is ever evolving and now AI has put a new spin on all of the things we consider daily as teachers.
How are the students responding to AI?
If you were to ask a student in Middle or High School if they've used AI, most of them would likely mention Chat GPT or perhaps the AI tools in Canva. Students are aware that AI means Artificial Intelligence but they may or may not be keenly aware of their implications for use of AI tools. Some student are engaging in tutoring from AI technology versus meeting with a human tutor which keeps costs down and is seemingly just as accurate. Other students rely on AI tools to create slide shows. Just this year, I had a colleague that noticed some extremely high scores on a relatively difficult post assessment. Upon diving into open ended answers, it was clear that a handful of students generated answers with some type of AI. How do we know? The formula for sequences we taught was not used; rather, a more typical form of the sequence equation was entered in multiple times over. Upon speaking with students, they mentioned using "SnapXam" to help them out. Of course, this is against policy; however, we learned a lot about how students are responding to AI tools at their fingertips. This was certainly eye opening for me as I realized that we need to truly teach students how and when to use AI. It goes without saying that using materials on a test is not appropriate at any time; however, we had not spoken to students about such items in class previously. Students should be given guidelines for AI tool usage just like they have for behavior, homework, or tardiness to a class. Student AI use is not all negative; however, on the contrary, many students enjoy using Canva's AI tools to create amazing projects for their courses, explore collaborative tools with their peers, and incorporate their own level of authentic uniqueness into schoolwork.
What's next for AI in Education?
As AI continues to grow in popularity and expand in application, we must consider the goals we have set out for ourselves and students as it pertains to proper use of AI technology. The consideration that teachers can be replaced with AI is both a scary thought and one that seems to be pretty afar off; however, a simple consideration such as the number of job postings listed for teachers who are willing to train AI for math is a bit concerning. As AI includes new intelligences, educators are called to "keep up" and figure out appropriate and best uses so our students still gain new knowledge and insight from the coursework rather than rely on technology for answers. If we are properly trained as educators, we can properly train our students!

15th of Second Seed, Morndas
As I came down this morning, I could hear arguing. The voices of Tharn and Khamira were particularly clear. A third voice I did not recognize tried to keep the peace betwixt the other two. Tharn using every opportunity he could as a dig against Khamira as being young or inexperienced. I was half tempted to turn around and go back upstairs.
As soon as I rounded the bottom of the steps, I heard Tharn commenting that someone who could help had arrived.
At least I was useful again. The arse.
He met me and brought me into the room where he and the others were meeting. I could not help but cast curious glances to the very tall, pale golden Khajiit who stood along the back wall by a bookshelf. He looked exhausted, likely by the arguments and he had his arms crossed. I took in the armor he wore of golden plate with teal accents and elaborate patterns in the metal. His beard was banded in four places below the chin. He struck a regal figure, even as the signs of age pulled at the corners of his eyes and lips.
Tharn began to explain that he thought I would never show, which I promptly reminded him was every bit to do with the way he had portaled Khamira and I off and then sent a messenger to fetch me, and yes, I was very well, only attacked by one bandit intent on murdering me in the night.
He raised an eyebrow and ignored my words. Of course. They were more for Nettle's benefit anyhow.
Tharn said that he was talking with the Speaker of the Mane, because he headed the Khajiiti Defense Force and they were already stretched thin dealing with Tharn's sister, they were in no way prepared for a rage of dragons, a term I had not known until he explained it.
Of course, he would not simply ask me to come and support with the defense at the command post, oh no, I was his useful little tool, after all. No, he wanted me to go and check on some power surges he had need detected when trying to track the dragons. Apparently they were strangely reminiscent of Sir Cadwell. That seemed an oddly specific thing to say, but I am hardly a mage, so I simply accepted the explanation. He told me that if it happened to be Sir Cadwelll, that I should try and secure his help.
Personally I was not sure that we wanted the poor soul shriven's help. For all his power, he has become far too acclimated to life in Coldharbour and seems as though he has been touched by Sheogorath in the manner of his thoughts. But my job was not to give opinions, Tharn would dismiss them anyhow, why waste the breath, my job was just to be his fetching errand boy.
While Tharn went to mark the locations on a map for me, I went and greeted Khamira. She was begrudgingly happy to see me. She was glad that I was there to help clean up the mess, though she blamed me in part for the dragons' release. I spoke earnestly with her about the plans and how she had been, recognizing the way she held back. So Tharn's implication that she was as much a spy for the Speaker of the Mane as his envoy seemed to be true. I asked her to introduce me to the Speaker, that I might make a proper introduction.
She seemed pleased by my level of formality and how serious I took his position, something Tharn was unlike to have done. He thinks himself too important for such things, no doubt.
I gave a formal greeting in Ta'agra, to the best of my ability. The Speaker of the Mane was quite impressed and Khamira also seemed surprised. I apologized for how little I spoke and for my pronunciation being off. I joked about the teasing my husband gave me when I spoke his mother tongue. That got the Speaker curious and we spoke of personal matters briefly.
Eventually we moved to matters more serious, just in time for Tharn to come back and throw a grumpy look our way. I could not get over the velvet-smooth way that the Speak spoke. No wonder the Mane chose him as his voice. It was a melody each time he opened his mouth. I could have listened to him reciting the thirty six lessons and would have been hanging off every word.
The Speaker was very candid about the troubles they had, the past six years fighting to regain Rimmen from Tharn's sister. That it was a slow and difficult process made all the worse by the appearance of dragons. He seemed hopeful that Tharn's experience on the Imperial Council would be useful to the effort to free Elsweyr of the ire of the dragons released. I pledged to serve in a role of support. He thanked me and said that he hoped that what I found in my search would prove useful to us.
Tharn presented me with the map and told me to make haste and to set off at once. The locations were all west and south-west of Riverhold, each about a half day's ride from the inn. Of course, securing a mount proved impossible, the stable was empty, save for steads who were being looked after by those traveling through the town.
And so with Nettle and my guards in tow, we head out on foot, across the river, to find whatever strange things Tharn has identified.
The Three preserve us.

okay so this is for the people that read Switchblade by Cacid on Ao3. I have Ideas and Theories and I’m losing my mind. Is this what Todoroki felt like when he finally came up with the whole “Midoriya is All Might’s secret love child” thing??
Anyway it’s below a readmore because it’s severely spoiler-y for people who aren’t caught up with it or haven’t read it yet. If you haven’t read it, it’s definitely a recommendation.
Okay so. In chapter 69, Izuku dreams about a past memory in which Chris/ Chikara/ Destro gets disappeared out of the bowling alley that the MLA was in. When he comes back, “reeking of ozone and iron“ and “exhaustion was clear in his every movement and the tears in his clothes were indicative of a vicious fight“ he says that the rest of them wouldn’t believe him about where he was and that he thinks that he “just killed the Soulstealer’s creepiest minion.” However, he also says that “It’s not going to happen again” and that it “wasn’t a conventional meta ability“ and getting disappeared  “can’t happen again, we made sure of it.”
In chapter 79, Izuku/ Izuho comes upon Shigaraki talking to Garaki about some device that they’re building. Shigaraki says “I want him here” and that they’re not building it fast enough. When the budding device and the lab area is described, Izuku says it reminds him of the portal that the PLF had built before, and that the air was “thick with scents of burning-hot metal and ozone.”
In chapter 82, we get another look at the device that they’re building. Garaki tells Shigaraki “you have to picture it in your mind, exactly the location, the circumstances, everything” to get the thing to work. Shigaraki replies that he knows exactly what he wants, and that he “can see it perfectly clearly in my mind. I can see him there. I know what I’m after!” And he asks why it isn’t manifesting. A little later, Izuku thinks “Whatever they were planning to do with this machinery, they seemed convinced it would deal a decisive blow to the Chain.”
My thought: are they trying to bring Destro to the present to fight with them??
Obviously this is not how it would go, re: Izuku’s memories and him knowing that Destro and the original MLA would absolutely hate the PLF’s guts and eliminate them with extreme prejudice, just like how they would other radicalized splinter cells acting under their name but not their ideology.
However, they don’t know that. They don’t know that at all. And it would fit!! Plenty of things that Izuku’s seen in his dream flashbacks have been relevant to the plot. Who’s to say the one weirdass time Destro just up and vanished without a trace for a bit isn’t important?
I included the parts about Destro smelling like ozone and iron and the machine room smelling like hot metal and ozone for a reason. Destro also comes back looking like he was in a vicious fight and was bruised even though his quirk is super fucking strong and, according to the fic itself, similar to Dark Shadow’s nomu form’s abilities (ch. 80- “None of Re-Desto’s strikes were landing on the nomu’s body proper, merely glancing across the quirk’s extended, umbral form. It was... so strange to see them fight because Dark Shadow’s current abilities were a lot more like the original Destro’s power than the power of Destro’s supposed descendant.”)
So. Shigaraki brings Destro from the past, maybe in a final battle type thing where Izuku’s exposed. They’re facing off, Shigaraki brings his trump card out, summoning Destro from the past. He touches down, Izuku calls out to him maybe (False Flag said that she thought Izuku was Switcher himself because of the little mannerisms when he fought, etc, so Destro would be more likely to believe him?) and he fights and wins against Shigaraki and gets put back after he makes sure that Izuku and co. are going to destroy the machine.
Thus, Destro gets into a fierce battle and after says that he killed the Soulstealer’s creepiest minion. Also explains the “it wasn’t a normal meta ability” thing and also “we made sure” that it can’t happen again.
So that’s my conspiracy theorist rant. Thoughts?

A Family that Slays Together Stays Together
PR225/ PL65/ Brie/River/ Human : Halfa!Jazz AU: Jazz has been protecting Amity Park from other ghosts for years now! So who does this Phantom character think he is, coming into her haunt and trying to tell her how to do her job???
--
Jazz grits her teeth as she dodges another ectopus tentacle while keeping a hand on it. It’s harder than she makes it look-- or, it would be if anyone could see it.
No, she’s just grappling with four--
Five, she mentally corrects as another squishy body impacts her lower back and she has to stifle a grunt.
--five ectopuses hundreds of feet above a busy street while keeping her invisibility stretched over the darn things.
In the beginning, she really hadn’t known what was happening. Sure, her parents always talked about ghosts, but she had just chalked it up to obsessive behavior as a reaction to a childhood trauma. Most people had trauma from their childhoods, and those people dealt with it in different ways. The Doctors Fenton had chosen to fight… ghosts.
There were worse things to do than chase a fantasy. At least they hadn’t become serial killers or started an underground fight club or messed with the mafia or something.
(It gave them agency, she used to think. Building better and better weapons to combat more powerful, unknowable beings that were always out of their reach was certainly A Behavior that likely stemmed from a very deep trauma in their early lives, so while Jazz had dearly wanted them to change their behaviors, she really couldn’t begrudge them this.)
(Now she knew differently.)
And then she started seeing things.
The green, glowing goop in the basement had been the first step. Everything had been normal before that. Or, well, normal for her. She would get up, dress herself and her baby brother Danny, feed herself and Danny, and then walk him to the elementary school before rushing over to the middle school before she was late.
One day, though, in her first year of high school, her parents had called her down to the basement to show off their newest, exciting discovery in the esteemed field of ecology: ectoplasm.
Jazz had taken one look before marching back up the stairs, wondering which one of them had finally caved and bought the ingredients to make the glowing slime to further the other’s delusions.
And then the hotdogs came to life.
Jazz had very carefully resealed the ziplock bag and tossed it into the trash, putting the whole thing out of her mind. Some parasites, she had researched later, could make it seem like the tainted food was wiggling.
She’d paid a careful amount of no attention at all to the glowing blobs or orbs or similar that she had started to see out of the corner of her eye. It was stress, most likely. Change is always stressful, and moving up to high school is one of the most important big milestones in a youth’s life.
Or, maybe, sleep deprivation. The possibilities were simultaneously truly endless and well-documented and explained.
Jazz was usually very careful with eating anything that her parents had made for them because of a few-too-many times getting food poisoning, but she had let down her guard around the takeout her parents had brought home one day after their “ghost hunting.”
Danny hadn’t been there to eat, thankfully. He’d been off with one of his friends, Tucker Foley. He was staying the night at the Foley residence to work on homework and generally hang out with one of his friends. It was very healthy, productive, and de-stressing behavior that Jazz generally approved of.
And then she’d thrown up the blindingly green substance later that night.
It stained the toilet a neon green, the tips of her hair that had caught the vomit turning a seafoam blue, the polar opposite of her own hair color.
It was almost welling up in her. She couldn’t stop throwing it up and the more she expelled, the more her eyes and nose seemed to water, until she touched it to find that those areas were leaking ectoplasm as well.
She had stripped down to her leggings and tight undershirt almost immediately, irrationally concerned for the state of her clothing if the ectoplasm would drip on them.
The leaking wouldn’t stop, so she did the logical thing and started to run a bath. She could get clean and hide the sound of her puking her guts up every few minutes. A great idea, in her opinion.
Less of a great opinion, she thought a few minutes later when her strength started going while she was in the tub.
The entire thing looked like it was filled to the brim with ectoplasm, the substance having started to leak out of her very pores a few minutes after she had climbed in the tub.
The last thing that had passed through her mind as she had slipped under the surface of the ectoplasm laden water had been: I hope Danny doesn’t find me.
And then the first thing that she thought when she shot up again some time later was: I’m going to be late for class!

(long post incoming)
First of all, to answer your questions to the best of my ability:
The epilogue was written by the same team that made season 1 and 2.
I don't know how well it was received by critics, because really in 2000 how many people were specifically critiquing the ending of kids shows? But by fans it had a pretty poor reception.
I don't think the ending had anything tooo hard on subverting expectations, unless maybe you count the plan to pair the main female lead with someone other than the main character.
For the most part the ending feels like one of those "Where are they now" endings of movies "Based on a true story'"
And it feels to me like it was included because they felt they need a "where are they now" ending, regardless of whether that was a good idea or what it meant for the rest of the show.
An epilogue is a tool, and is generally used best when it provides closure and avoids presenting new ideas. The 02 epilogue inserts quite a few new ideas, many of which were based on background ideas the production staff had, and makes the epilogue read more like an excuse for the production team to insert ideas they couldn’t elsewhere rather than a true conclusion of the story.
The epilogue gives everyone a job.
Some of these are what the kids wanted to be at 11, some of them complete character arcs if you convince yourself they do. Some of them....less so.
One of them is based on an in-joke on the production team that doesn't have any reference to the series proper....so brand new idea.
The tomboy of the first season became a fashion designer with traditionally feminine clothing.  I’m not sure how well that played in Japan, but it was not very well received in the west.
Another girl didn’t get a job at all, only talking about being married to one of the other characters.  That went poorly in both Japan and the West, because they released a retcon later giving her a job.
The epilogue drops out of nowhere that “Everyone has a Digimon partner”
Digimon isn’t Pokemon, having a partner is an exception not the rule, and the Japanese term for having a Digimon partner in Adventure universe is literally “Chosen Child.”  Giving one to everyone destroys the magic of it, in the same way Harry Potter doesn’t end with all muggles gaining magic. The exclusivity is part of the fantasy.
In 02, there are at least some themes around their being more than 8 children, and human-digimon relations, but they aren’t super prevalent and giving everyone their own partner still feels a bit new and jarring.
Season one is a portal fiction/Iseka, where the main characters are children of prophecy, destined to save the world. The idea there might be more than 8 of them is mentioned like once, one episode before the finale.  And even that is presented as “This happened once before. according to the legends”
So Digimon going from their special destined thing to something everyone has is very jarring, and ruins a theme some enjoyed.
(there were also complaints about the realities of giving everyone emotion-activated attack helicopters that could grow to the size of a house without notice, but honestly, I think most people lodging that complaint were already mad at the epilogue.)
Random background point with outweighed influence.
You could never tell this from the story itself, the idea that the chosen were not just increasing, but doubling every year was there from the beginning and, according to interviews with the staff, they planned the date of the epilogue to be based on when that exponential grown would surpass the world’s population.
This allegedly was true from the early days of season one, when more kids having Digimon partners was neither plot nor thematically relevant at all, and even in 02 where you can feasibly convince yourself the addition of more Chosen was a theme, the *rate* of growth was unimportant to anything, but still defines the date of the epilogue.
Why?
And finally, yes shipping.
There were 2 confirmed couples.  One was, as per the above, an intentional subversion of ‘main character gets the girl’.
The second was because the production team liked how well their Voice Actors got along.
So again, not based on the story you just watched.
Meanwhile, none of the most popular couples were confirmed, even in Japanese fandom. (We know this because magazines ran polls at the time asking favorite 'combinations)
There was no way to pair people together at the end that made all shippers happy, that’s a fact of life and time skip epilogues.
But it does circle back around to my first point.
An epilogue is a tool, and just because you have a tool, doesn’t mean you need to use it.
There’s not really much of anything gained from the inclusion of the epilogue, but there is quite a bit lost. The epilogue works best when you think of it as "Happily ever after with extra steps", so why add the extra steps?
And even if you want an Epilogue, you don't need to jump from when kids are 11 to when they are 36. A year or two will do.
And ignore anyone saying that it’s been retconned by recent films, they are wrong.  Although many fans have mentioned being confused/or less motivated for recent additions based on them being constricted by the epilogue.
OK so I was never part of the Digimon crowd. My knowledge of it consists of memories of episodes I saw when I was like 8 and two movies I saw around the same time (one of which was three movies edited together) so I ask...
Can someone fill me in on the angst with the 02 epilogue? I know it has something to do with shipping, but is there more? Like, is it bad in comparison to the rest of the series? Did a different crew from the ones that made the first season make this one? Was it meant to subvert expectations? Was there something in the subtext? Was it well received by critics but not by fans or was it only western fans that didn't care for it?
Could the more digi-literate fill me in on this? I'd like to know how people feel.

Collector's Curse AU
I heard some interest so here it is folks, the Collector's Curse au textpost, copypasted fresh from my google doc. Well, part of it. Approximately two pages, to be exact. This is what I consider the main, need-to-know stuff before I get into anything else. Enjoy.
(Sidenote: As I say on the first point, not everything is figured out yet. When I do fill those plot holes I might make other posts, or I might just edit this one. Haven't decided yet. We'll see what happens.)
The beginning and the end cannot be fully developed just because there’s still so much we don’t know.  Until we know that stuff, there’s gonna be some blank spots.  After rewatching Eclipse Lake, however, we do know that the Collector likely isn’t involved with the portal, as we see Belos trying and failing to make a portal key and power the portal by other means.  Things he wouldn’t be doing if the spell or the Collector were planned to power it.  So the spell (and the Collector with it) and the portal are two different plots.  So that opens up the possibility of Belos throwing the Collector overboard the second he’s got everything figured out with the spell.  However, I could still be getting it wrong.  Like I said, nothing is confirmed so nothing can be finalized yet.  Just considered.
So while we wait on all that, let’s get right into the meat (aka the stuff that can be more finalized because it relies very little on the canon story).
The au is called the Collector’s Curse AU because the Collector, however Luz finds him, functions a lot like Eda’s curse.  Rather than possessing Luz as he would’ve preferred, he’s trapped in Luz’s mind.
In order to keep this au intact and keep the Collector from just taking full control and going on a rampage (be that in the form of some Classic CollectorLuz ChaosTM or barging right on into the Emperor’s throne room and killing him with their bare hands), the Collector needs to be nerfed, hardcore.  Which is how we get to the situation at hand.  As it turns out, Luz is not an ideal host, and these are not ideal conditions.  Shocker.  The Collector is an immensely powerful being, and is wholly incompatible with Luz’s body.  Especially without the rituals and preparations that would usually go into a proper possession.  Simply put, it’s like trying to run Resident Evil 5 on an Altair computer.  The software doesn’t exactly fit the hardware.
Point being, they need to be careful.
The two can talk in Luz’s head and the Collector can take form outside of it, but only Luz can see or hear him. They're basically a ghost, except now the pool of people they can interact with is even smaller than before.  With immense effort they can make their powers tangible, but they can only do so in short bursts and it’s incredibly taxing for both parties.  It also runs the risk of causing Luz physical harm, and harm to her is harm to him.  Either way, Luz is knocked out and the Collector goes completely silent, sometimes for several days.  After getting used to his voice, Luz can’t help but find it unnerving whenever that happens.
Because the situation functions similar to Eda’s curse, the elixirs actually help.  “Help” being a pretty loose term.  They taste terrible and Luz always feels sick after drinking them, but they shut the Collector up right quick, which he finds very unpleasant.  It only took a few elixirs to convince him to not be too insufferable.
The two are connected by a string, each end tied around one of their wrists. The string both symbolically represents their connection, and literally acts as a leash preventing the Collector from leaving a certain radius around Luz. The string is not affected by walls or other objects, and extends about three Luz's in length before pulling taut.
As cruel and chaotic as the Collector usually is, they have pretty good motivations for going along with this whole… thing.  First of all, survival.  If destroying the disc didn’t set him free, destroying this human he’s stuck in probably wouldn’t help either.  That and it would hurt.  He hasn’t felt pain in a long time, and he’s reminded quite quickly just how much it sucks.  So it stands to reason that if Luz dies, they die with her, and like most living things are, they’re very adverse to dying.  Secondly, while this situation is far from ideal, it does have potential.  Even if they were freed, it would likely be into the same shadow ghost form they were in before.  They haven’t had anything remotely close to a physical body in forever; now they at least have some influence over one.  It’s technically an improvement.  For the time being, he needs someone to be his hands.  He can make this work.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention (though you probably inferred it from the first bullet point), the Collector wants Belos dead.  Belos and them used to be buddies, you see, before that jerk went and sealed them away after they’d “fulfilled their purpose” or whatever.  So hey look at that we have a common enemy don’t exorcise me or whatever please.
The Collector has no power over Luz, so he needs to make appeals to her to get her to not tell everyone, because if she did they’d probably try to expel him in some way.  He doesn’t know how, but he’s not into taking those kinds of risks.  So he keeps everything nice and vague to make it as palatable as possible to his unwilling host, and offers her **insider info** about Belos, the goings on inside the castle, the Day of Unity, etc.  How much that changes the game depends on where in the timeline it happens.
Surprisingly, this works, although it helps that Luz is just a good person who believes that the Collector is just some random spirit or demon that’s now stuck with her.  This sucks for them just as much as it does for her, she tells herself, there’s no need to make it harder than it needs to be.
The problem with the information is that Luz has no way of knowing if what her brain roommate says is true, so the responsibility still falls on Luz to find that out.  A lot of the stuff she does to prove Belos is evil still happens, just with different context.
Bonus points if Luz refuses to believe some of it and tries to prove him wrong, only to do the exact opposite.  Emotional damage.
Bonus bonus points if when they go into the Emperor’s mind they see the Collector being cruel and sadistic and learn just how much he helped with Belos’ whole thing.  Emotional damage.
As stated above, the Collector kept his dealings with Belos very vague.  They told her about the draining spell, but conveniently left out that they were the one who told him how to do it.  Whoops.
I should say now that part of this au is a pseudo redemption arc because I’m a sucker for powerful beings being redeemed by learning how to see the beauty in small things they never bothered to look at or experience before.  I watched Peridot’s redemption arc and it changed my DNA.  Anyway, the Collector certainly isn’t making an effort to redeem himself to anyone in particular, Luz doesn’t know who they are, but there is a noticeable change in attitude overtime.  By the time Luz learns of their true nature they’ve become genuinely quite attached to the human, against all better judgment, so it’s really not a good look.
Okay that's all for now. Posts relating to this au in the future will definitely be shorter because it'll either be me exploring how certain events would play out or spouting random fun facts. See you then. :))
