I have found so many au of TOH on Tumblr in the past few weeks! One of them is Werewolf Hunter AU by @for-those-who-wait 🐺

Made a small (and rushed, and overall low quality) Azura doodle for the project too.

In my head this is a very similar story to "Eliza and Her Monsters" if you know it. Except I haven't read that book in years and I can't tell what ideas are mine versus the book but I don't want to go back and read it all lmao

Anyways, the premise of this would be Luz is a recent high-school graduate and she is in her last summer before college. She's known online as TheGoodWitch, the creator of the hit series The Legend of Azura (it's not as overly flowery in this au, more like Boiling Isles weirdness, as is custom from our Luz). Seemingly overnight the fan base of this series went from big to wayyy too many people and Luz has never felt more seen but also like there is so much pressure on her.

She had always promised herself she would finish the comic before college, so she has a goal that she'll finish it by the end of the summer. But than an Incident happens (undecided what) and Luz goes to spend the summer with Eda, a close family friend and job giver outer.

So she's working in this small town of Gravesfield, and meets all these interesting characters around town and a particularly pretty Amity Blight. A rich girl with a summer home right down the road. And wow! Amity turns out to be the biggest fan ever of The Legend of Azura!

It would be a shortish fic and mostly lighthearted because I think silly goofy vibes would fit this story best. But yeah. I think I'll write it to get it out of my system. And I also want to play around with maybe it being a part of a series because I love huntlow too and want to write about them... I'll find a way mwhahaha~

Anyways. That's my (very brief explanation of my) story idea. It's rough but I'm having a lot of fun coming up with diffrent interactions, and where diffrent characters have settled jn this human realm. Very fun. Would recommend.

This is an old sketch, based on a fic I read by Frog_With_A_Mushroom on AO3 (@fruity-phrog here). The concept of Vee and Luz growing up in the opposite realm they did in canon is what initially inspired me to do my AU. I still have barely written anything for it, but one of these days, I'm gonna do something with it.

Werewolf Hunter is so little, just a lil wet guy. Is there a reason for his size?

I love that he just looks like a lil dog, I feel others would be a bit surprised (Luz and Camila mainly) since this isn’t how werewolves typically look in media.

He is absolutely sopping wet. The wettest of tiny cat-dogs

Hunter's wolf form is pretty small due to malnourishment throughout childhood (and to a lesser extent, being in a cage for essentially all of the time spent in that form). His diet should consist of a lot of protein via meat, but Belos restricted his access to it since allowing Hunter to eat a proper and healthy diet was, in his opinion, facilitating beastly behaviors and tendencies. I also HC that Hunter has a pretty sensitive stomach anyway since he's the Grimwalker of a human, so he just doesn't eat well for a lot of his life (until Camila gets a hold of him and is like oh no baby your coat is so thin and dull and your nails are breaking you need some protein)

Hunter doesn't actually know what he looks like until TTT. He hears stories from Belos about how dangerous werewolves are and he does notice what few features of himself that he dares to look at (but for the most part he avoids looking at himself). He and Luz see a couple portraits of shifted Golden Guards while in Belos' mindscape, so they absolutely expect Hunter to look like the monsters they see in the portraits (which aren't accurate to how they actually appeared; they're what Belos' interpretations are of those occurrences). Hunter sees the portraits as assurance that he's a monster. Luz sees them as another "So what? You're still Hunter and also Belos is lame and stupid, you're not a monster no matter what he says"

Luz does expect him to be full-size like the portraits and has to do a doubletake when she sees a tiny dog curled up behind the toilet. I think Luz is the type of person to scour mythical creatures' Wikipedia pages, so I think she'd be familiar with the idea that werewolves could either be just wolf or more anthropomorphic, so I don't think she'd be as surprised on that front. Camila probably would be confused at first haha. I also had the idea that werewolves went extinct so long ago that most Boiling Isles residents assume they're just creatures of legend, similar to Grimwalkers. So the others would also be surprised haha

Okay so this is a stupid idea but I’m just having fun with it. Obviously it won’t follow the hunger games directly because the situation and characters are different, but some stuff kinda connects!!

Katniss and Peeta= Luz and Amity

Prim & Ms Everdeen & buttercup = Vee and Camilla and King

The Mellarks = Odalia (fitting!), Alador, and Ed + Em (fits since both Peet and Ami have two older siblings). I don’t think they’d run a bakery though, but something abomination related that fits here.

Haymitch = Eda

Madge = Gus??

Gale = I’m afraid there’s no Gale equivalent here because it doesn’t make sense in this AU, and I’m not a fan of love triangles anyway.

Effie = Hooty. This is funny to me. the peak of my fanart career

Cinna and Portia = Darius and Eberwolf

Senecca Crane = Kiki

Snow = Belos obviously

Ceasar = Adrian

Plutarch = Raine

Anyways I kept the human and witch ears because I thought that could be an interesting tie with the Merchants vs Seam. And Amity’s hair is fully green in the interview scene because she got her grown roots dyed during the makeover! In this scenario I imagine Odalia would make her children dye funky hair colours in hopes of getting into the ‘capitol’ equivalent, which I guess is the Emperors Coven.

Also instead of girl on fire, Luz would have some ‘light’ related title.

Definitely want to do more art for the fic, the scenes are so vivid and clear in my mind, but I feel like a few of these designs I want to fine tune a bit more (also I don't think they actually follow the descriptions of the actual fic, oh well)

Emmiline is the only design I'm not totally sold on but I'll figure it out.

King and Collector in Axe AU!^^

And some info about Collie. Caleb broke Philip’s mirror because he thought that it was brainwashing him. And because last mirror was cracked at the center Collie lost most of his power when he got out (thats why he lost color). Collie was resqued by King when they got to Titan hunters. Collie was clothed by hunters too, thats why clothes not very new. And they quickly became dirty because collie wants to touch everything, he can’t feel magic in things now how he used to so he tries to compensate it. Aaaand he wears bandages because they didn’t had shoes of his size, and he also didnt wanted to wear itXD

Hes a little autistic here, he lacked any sensations for very long time and now hes, in opposite, a little bit overwhelmed. Also he didn’t used to being without any powers so he feels unusually small and vulnerable.
