I find it funny when queer fantasy stories are written in a setting where homophobia doesn't exist, but there's a ~forbidden romance~ element coming from some completely different, fantastical prejudice. Like

"Son, I don't care if you suck dick, but no child of mine will be sharing a bed with a goddamn necromancer!"

Regarding this peculiar photo of Willow's Scrapbook, I always had a thought about it

I've seen several people who think that it's an implication that Amity never learned how to swim despite having taken swimming lessons, but to be honest, I always found that idea pretty farfetch'ed, and I've always felt something fishy (pun not intended) about it ever since I learned about the production process of the show.

As I pointed out in a previous post of mine, the photos of Willow's Scrapbook in TTT are just random doodles of the storyboarder of the scene, not actual representations of discarded episodes ideas of a full S3 like many people wrongly assume they are. They're not actually much deep in story, and they're not even given in input by Dana or the writers, and that makes me thinking: I feel the storyboarder wanted to do a nod to that belief that many fans have of the people of the Boiling Isles not knowing how to swim because the sea in that place is... well... boiling. But she forgot (or maybe never knew it) that swimming does exists in the BI, and that Amity herself learned how to swim with Willow when they were kids (the place they did was a lake called Lake Lacuna, if I'm not mistanking, so the lakes in the place are safe)... At least this is how I see it, a minor slip up of the artists and nothing else. ^^"
