Seeing masculine women, especially lesbians, defend TRA till their last breath and then watching them get told they’re “terfy” for calling themselves a lesbian/not catering trans enough/etc and it’s just like. Have some self respect for yourself.
I always think about this video by Hannah Berelli
“They hate masculine women. They hate lesbians… the only way to exist in that space is to pretend as if being masculine makes you not a woman. Give up. They’re never going to accept you” -Hannah Berrelli
You can write all these think pieces about how lesbian or butch is your gender identity, how loving women isn’t terfy and you totally accept trans women. They don’t fucking care. Being a gender-non conforming woman is universally hated even by the spicy straights.

Periodic reminder that unless a person specifically and clearly tells you it is okay to tell others they are trans or queer, you should err on the side of caution and assume they do not want you to tell people (especially random people!) about their transness or queerness.
You have no idea, generally, why somebody doesn't talk openly about their trans or queer status, and you have no idea, truly, how somebody might react to that information. The most progressive person out there is still capable of harbouring incredibly negative thoughts about somebody's queer status.
#lesbian#gay#bi#bisexual#trans#transgender#queer#lgbt#lgbtq#ally advice#inspired after somebody at work outed me (again ×3)#i don't care how 'safe' you assume they will be! you cannot TRULY guarantee their safety!#you are effectively gambling with somebody's safety by assuming you can out them#also even if their safety was somehow 100% guaranteed it is still not your place to dictate what others know about THEM#like it isn't your own information you are giving out. the other person is a real human being with real thoughts...#...and there are real ramifications to your actions! this is like... real life and like... real people#anyway. i'm still fucking horrified at how cool people are (at least wrt me) with outing others 🙃🫠#and it just... further reminds me that others see me as like... a thing to be talked about/over and i'm not seen as an autonomous human#maybe that's not their intentions 9/10 times but that still doesn't justify it nor does it change how i interpret that behaviour 👍#it's just dehumanizing imo to be reminded 'your comfort DOESN'T MATTER. i think you should be talked ABOUT not TO.'#clarification for the first tag: this is the THIRD time somebody has outed me. i NEVER talk about being trans to... pretty much ANYBODY irl#it's shit like this that i have to resist taking the 'doompill' over#because it's scary and dehumanizing every. single. time. i feel so fucking scared each time#because - AGAIN - i know my safety will NEVER be guaranteed because i am trans and queer

Reminder that women are ethereal, brilliant, and powerful. Every success a woman has is a victory for all of us. Every failure a man has is also a victory for all of us. Keep winning, ladies.

stop saying "it's okay to be bisexual, you don't need to call yourself a lesbian, there's nothing wrong with bisexuality". fakebians do not larp as lesbians because they're ashamed of their bisexuality and can't accept it. they larp as lesbians because they're lesphobic.
bisexuals are oppressed on the basis of their same sex attraction ; if they can accept it enough to say they're attracted to women (that's what they do when they call themselves lesbians) it means that they're not ashamed of their same sex attraction and thus that they have no problem with bisexuality.
they don't larp as lesbians because they somehow struggle to accept their true sexuality. they larp as lesbians because they are homophobic and don't believe true homosexual truly exist, because they have no respect for lesbians, because they feel entilted to our culture and spaces, and so on.
fakebians don't have internalized biphobia or whatever. they have no problem with their bisexuality, they don't struggle to accept it. they are just homophobes.

Sometimes you just gotta remind yourself to just get all your thoughts on paper, good or bad. Remember you can always edit later. Currently my fics go through three stages of editing so you can only imagine the out of pocket stuff I start with. Do what works for you.
Writing is art. Art will only be understood by the people who choose to dig deeper. Why try and force yourself to write one way to please everyone when there is people who feel moved when you write the way YOU want to. They feel seen when they’ve felt so lonely. Doing what makes you happy can save not only your life but those around you. People find comfort in fan fiction and books. I know I 100% do. You’re not alone.
Sorry little speech. I just want to make it clear this is a safe space. Keep going lovely!
Much love,
Lilith 💋

I don’t like Chappel, but is it just me or is the criticism of her bordering on biphobia?
I feel like biphobia isn’t seen as a real thing. Like no one would argue that lesbians have been at the forefront of LGBT issues or that lesbophobia isn’t rampant, but sometimes it seems like even lesbians don’t think biphobia is real.
What’s unique about biphobia is it’s from both sides - gay and straight. Both think we’re hypersexual, both might have a problem if we’ve been with the opposite sex (which is fine, but not if they think we’re dirty for it), both get annoyed with whatever we call ourselves and more.
The stereotypes and bigotry towards bisexuals puts us at unique risks in society. And I’d argue that if a bi woman is with a woman it’s a lesbian relationship, so said bi woman calling herself lesbian isn’t an issue because it’s a)technically true b) cuts down on time explaining c)stops intrusive/ insulting comments on bisexuality (though comments on lesbians would obviously still be a risk)
Ahhhh and it’s annoying because I feel like I’m lesbophobia for bringing up the very real biphobia some lesbians have
Some people are biphobic by using her to shit on all bi women. But lesbians being mad that she constantly talks about men and said once that she used a women to get back at a men, is understandable tbh. It is harmful to lesbians to act that way with their label when she is clearly bi.
Yeh biphobia is tremendously overlooked in my opinion. It's so secret and sly that not many see it as biphobia and instead just jokes or facts.
Yesssss. Not being able to fit in with others bc of biphobia from both sides is so damaging. But also when you meet most bisexuals, they most often have internalised biphobia or refuse to acknowledge biphobia as an actual problem and instead an internet thing. It's best to just find your like minded people and forget about everyone else.
Although I agree that bisexuals do deal with unique issues when openly bisexual. Calling yourself a lesbian when you're bi and had a history of dating men or date a man in the future, is going to add to the stereotype that lesbains aren't real and just need a man to change them. And it also harms bisexuals bc it adds to the stereotype that bisexuals purposely use the lesbian label with bad intentions and that bisexuals are just secretly straight looking to be different.
Also I would argue that it's alot more dangerous to be openly lesbian than bisexual bc if men don't feel like they can fuck you, then they instead think they can harm you.
As long as you don't use lesbophobic stereotypes or standing points when talking about biphobia, then you're not lesbophobic. Keep talking about biphobia, we need more voices.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

One thing I find really ironic about homosexual radfems critiquing the use of language around present day homosexual media and culture related things involving the Q word is someone ALWAYS comes to say "we should let people use words that are comfortable to them and not police them" and yet here YOU are ... policing my words ... because there's only one type of acceptable language and participation in Q culture and it's veneration or nothing.
