Rule One.
The feminine energy respects itself when it’s protected! Do not allow people into your spirit, your vortex, your world, your space, your heart, your life, your mind and lastly your body that disrespects, devalues and breaks the boundaries you set for yourself. Dismissal of such behaviour should be automatic!

Okay, question for you- is Eloise’s hair tied at the end and curly, or in a ponytail and curly, or is there no tie and I’m just blind?
I was going to answer this quickly but I am EXTRA & had to do a write-up of her hair (sorry🙏)
First, she normally does wear her hair in a braid!💓 I do NOT know how to draw braids nor do I want to learn, so I do my weird way that looks terrible and I really should spend like 30 min researching😔🙏
When I remember, I like to add the bow but I forget a lot🥲
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her hair is CRAZY and thick, and has been the bane of her existence her whole life. I’m just channeling her inner Black (she is like a great-aunt or something of Sirius and Bellatrix) so OBVIOUSLY i had to give her amazing hair.
Since she is a Proper Young Victorian Lady™️ who spent the last 5 years at a muggle finishing school, she NEVER wears her hair down, and felt scandalized the first weeks at Hogwarts, seeing girls her age wearing TROUSERS😨 and having their hair DOWN😳 and although she’s used to it now, she still feels uncomfortable thinking of herself doing it.
Sebastian daydreams about it all the time though😇🙏
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some quick doodles I sketched up for this así.
1) her crazy hair when it’s down💓🫶
2) Imelda LOVES doing Eloise’s hair. She’s never really had girl friends before, and the ritual of gossiping/doing hair/hanging out reminds Imelda of her childhood bc her mom used to do her hair and tell stories🥹🥹 and Eloise has NEVER had friends before OR the experience with her own (awful) mother so she LOVES IT TOO💓💓💓 (Imelda teaches her Spanish some nights)

Your designs are really cool! I hope i can design outfits like you for my own characters, do you have any design tips or something you could share that could help improve design skills?
Thank you! I'm still working to improve, Naruto outfits are simply my comfort zone and I need to leave it more.
But I like to always have lots of references. Either studying fashion history, cultural styles, or having colors in mind (like color theory and stuff). And just look for reference pictures, for accessories, hairstyles, layers, prints...
And after that, when I take everything and put on a character, there's still a lot of trial and error, adding and taking off details, changing colors (a lot!)... It does help that I find most of the process a lot of fun too.

This might be fairly common knowledge, but I know I was shocked and appalled when I learned it, so I thought I’d share it with tumblr at large: sometimes those fake pockets… aren’t actually fake!
Now, obviously this isn’t a universal rule, but for certain garments, like blazers and dress pants, the pockets DO exist, they’re just stitched closed so that they look better on the hanger in the store. Which I personally think is a stupid reason, but that’s what we’re dealing with.
So say you have this stupid fake pocket:
Tumblr media
First, check inside the garment for the pocket bag. This will show you if there actually is a pocket there, or if it’s just a decorative placket, in which case you’re doomed to suffer.
(If the garment has a lining sometimes you won’t be able to find the pocket bag because it’s between the lining and the body fabric. Use your best judgment for if you’re willing to try to find a pocket that may or may not be there)
Tumblr media
Great! You definitely have a pocket. Now take a seam ripper (or a pair of scissors you know you can be accurate with) and find the stitches holding the pocket opening closed. Usually they’re easiest to get at if you go into the opening as if to put something in the pocket.
Tumblr media
Now break that thread.
Tumblr media
Look! An opening!
Carefully do that along the entire pocket, pull out the broken threads, and you have yourself a real pocket!
Tumblr media
(It might still be pitifully small, but it is in fact a pocket)
For a more impressive result, check out this blazer:
Tumblr media
No pocket
Tumblr media
And now my whole hand fits!

New JSK! Black dress with white on the bottom…my beloved
A point of contention is I don’t like prints very much 💀 but I was rlly drawn to classic/gothic type ones with architecture & minimal color. I decided I wanted a black dress w white print with silent moon & iron gate being contenders
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not that I needed these particular ones but I wanted ones that look similar. I eventually found Ruban Sacré by Juliette et Justine & ended up liking it better! It has no text & I love the lace design even moreso than a cathedral print since it’s abstract. It was a splurge but after a month of thinking about it, I went for it. Tbh though I went kind of insane when it arrived💀
Tumblr media
It was way too big & not flattering at all. You can’t see it here but the bust was gaping like crazy. It all not a huge deal but I was in a mood & also I’ve had the hardest time finding dresses that I like on me. I’ve tried skirts, OPs, and now this JSK. This would be the fourth piece I’ve tried and have not liked the look of. So for it to arrive & look so frumpy was hard because I rlly love the ideas behind lolita & have had a hard time finding my look.
That’s why I usually wear ouji. I love ouji but I don’t want to feel like I can only wear ouji (I have some insecurities that pop up sometimes & this fashion has not helped 💀)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With advice from a few ppl, I took it in. I added to the darts in the back and added a whole new seam in the front. That’s the most drastic but I think it’s only noticeable if you know, and like I said…it was gaping badly. I feel dramatic but I was seriously so upset about this dress 💀 I thought I’d need to shorten the skirt too but after doing this it was ok!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before & after! It made a big difference & I’m so happy 😭 like relieved. Glad to have found a good black dress with white on bottom. This isn’t the full coord I had in mind, but it’s the start of it. My friend and I are planning to get tea soon. I’ll wear it then!

Do you have any tips for a trans fem trying to get into makeup? You’re really good at it!
look at pictures of other ppl doing makeup. look at other people doing makeup generally. when you’re outside or spending time with ppl.. take a little time to just Observe their makeup. you’d be surprise at how DIFFERENTLY a lot of people do it
and then. just practice…. i’d say the WORST way to do it is to desperately try to find tutorials or whatever. get a feel for the basics yourself first, and THEN look into tutorials.

How can I still dress cute when it’s hot or cold outside
Hey there Anon! So for both hot and cold weather the thing you’re gonna wanna do is layering and accessorizing!
For hot weather:
While adding layers seems counterintuitive it can help make your outfit more interesting
Lighter layers also help keeping your body temperature in check and allow breezes to cool you down
Accessory’s make every outfit look more put together and in hot weather hats or other headwear can also protect you from the sun
Here are some basic outfit formulas (I kept them pretty neutral because they’re just supposed to give you ideas and you can expend upon them with your own wardrobe)
Tumblr media
For cold weather:
Layering again, but this time thick layers that still allow air circulation
For jewelry I would focus on necklaces and rings as your wrists will be covered most of the time
You can easily transform summer clothes for colder weather by layering with tights/turtleneck/sweater/cardigan
Try to create a straight silhouette so that the outfit looks layered and not bulky
Utilise typical cold weather accessories like gloves/scarfs/earmuffs/hat
Some more outfit formulas (again neutral)
Tumblr media
Notes for extremely cold weather:
Thermal/long underwear
Head controls the temperature of the rest of your body so always wear a hat
Warm layers that can easily be taken off once you’re inside/ can easily be put on again
=> Accessories and layers make every outfit more interesting and if you do it the right way they also can wether or not it’s hot or cold outside. At the end of the day it however only matters that you feel comfortable and wear the things you love!
Thanks for the question Anon ♥️

Hey! I'm OBSESSED with the latest chapter! When I read your chapters I truly feel like I'm a different world and I can block everything around me. I know that you probably don't want to give away to much, but.... could you give us a little hint if you actually plant to make Bloom and Valtor a real couple soon or are they gonna be in the enemies plus situation for awhile longer?
Im not gonna pull a Sparked and leave things open this time, but i do kinda feel like the ending i have planned is... weaker than it should be, for everything to really pay off, you know? I dont want it to make the entire fic seem hollow, in retrospect.
With sparked, ESPECIALLY since Bloom wasn't the narrator and I could use the Ancient Coven as a third party in the final confrontation, there could be a big power moment for Bloom without having to harm Valtor in the process; on the contrary. But in tbhtbh, the conflict is entirely between these two. The ominous Red Fountain faction can take some of the heat, but ultimately, it's Valtor's actions that have and continue to hurt and antagonize Bloom. A happy ending as she imagines it right now would mean curbstomping him into the ground and Getting The Band Back Together, aka finding her friends and never splitting up ever again.
Which is not whats going to happen, and i feel like that might lack that moment of satisfaction. But i hope the other parts to the ending, some of which i have been foreshadowing and setting up since chapter 2 already, will be enough to give this fic some reread value.

Self care tips to boost your mental health 🥗
1) Get ample sleep.
Of course that’s easier said than done, but “sleep deprivation can actually cause mental lapses and increase stress and frustration, as well as contribute to physical health problems,” says Nalin. “So, despite our hectic schedules, we should maintain our regular sleep habits in order to feel refreshed and genuinely enjoy life.” In addition to a good book and a cup of tea, you may also want to consider adding a white noise machine, a sleep mask, super-soft sheets, and maybe even a weighted blanket to your sleep routine.
2) Write in a gratitude journal or any journal.
“Studies have indicated that practicing gratitude has numerous benefits, including optimizing our cardiac health, reducing anxiety and depression, and sharpening our brain function and giving us peace of mind,” says Jeff Nalin, a clinical psychologist in Malibu, California. Jot down a few things you’re grateful for in a journal, or on little slips of paper, then put them in a jar and set aside time to revisit them each month. If that sounds daunting, simply begin your day by thinking about someone or something you truly appreciate.
3) Buy healthy foods.
There's no greater form of self-love than buying healthy foods that will help your body operate at optimal function. You'll feel good and be so grateful you opted for a healthy snack over a greasy chip (but remember, everything in moderation!).
4) Say no.
“Most often, stress is caused by having too much to do and too little time to do it,” says Jacqueline Schaffer, a board-certified doctor in Los Angeles. “Reduce your workload, prioritize your to-do list, and manage your time more effectively. This requires you to say no more often, and that’s perfectly okay! There are plenty of ways to do so politely.
5) Meditate.
Research shows that regular meditation can potentially undo the damaging effects of stress—and calms the part of the brain responsible for the fight or flight response, says Aida Bielkus, PhD, life coach and cofounder of Health Yoga Life in Boston. Follow this self-care tip: “Set your phone timer for five minutes. Close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths, and release any tension that your body is holding onto. If you begin to wander off into other thoughts, don’t judge yourself. Simply bring yourself back to the awareness of your breath,” she advises. (If you need more guidance, try one of these meditation apps.)
6) Take a break.
“All work all the time causes stress on the mind and body,” says Lisa Folden, a physical therapist in Charlotte, North Carolina. “If you’re fortunate enough to have employment with available vacation hours, take all of them. If you don’t have that option, do a weekend staycation or a mini road trip. If that’s out of your budget, simply spend Saturday doing absolutely nothing.” That means put your phone on airplane mode, binge Bridgerton, or catch up on your reading list. Whatever it is that brings you pleasure, enjoy it, and make no apologies for it.
7) Learn to anticipate problems before they arise.
"Moments that are intensely negative have a huge effect on how you experience your day, more so than positive moments," says Talya Miron-Shatz, PhD, visiting researcher at Cambridge University, and CEO of Buddy&Soul, a platform for personal development. "Start your day by scanning it ahead of time for potential bumps—are you allowing too little time for your commute, making it stressful? Are you leaving home without enough to eat, which guarantees the 6 p.m. headache? Avoid the hiccups, or at least some of them, and you'll be much better off."
8) Go outside.
No matter how busy you are, experts say one of the best things you can do for yourself is to make it a habit to lace up your walking shoes and step outside for a breath of fresh air each day. “Doing this, even for a short increments at a time, provides you with many health benefits—both physical and mental,” says Emily Cosgrove, a licensed therapist and life coach in Ontario. Research suggests spending time outside helps you sleep better at night, reduces stress levels, boosts mental health, and stimulates the immune system.
