ABS Workout For Beginners, Beginner Core Workout at Home #abs #shorts ...
How to Get a Flat Stomach in 10 Minutes a Day
The key to getting a flat stomach in 10 minutes a day is to focus on compound exercises. Compound exercises work multiple muscle groups at the same time, which is more efficient than doing isolation exercises.
Here are some compound exercises that you can do to get a flat stomach:
Squats: Squats work your quads, hamstrings, and glutes. They are a great exercise for burning calories and building muscle.
Lunges: Lunges work your quads, hamstrings, glutes, and hip abductors. They are a great exercise for targeting your lower body.
Push-ups: Push-ups work your chest, triceps, and shoulders. They are a great exercise for building upper body strength.
Pull-ups: Pull-ups work your back, biceps, and shoulders. They are a great exercise for building upper body strength.
Crunches: Crunches work your abs. They are a good exercise for targeting your abs, but they are not the most effective exercise for burning calories or building muscle.
You can do these exercises in a circuit, doing 10-12 repetitions of each exercise. Rest for 30 seconds between exercises. Repeat the circuit 3 times.

**Found this personal trainer on Insta, I chatted a lil bit with him, and now I got his body. Poor him.**
It all started with a late-night scroll through Instagram. You know how it goes—one minute you’re just browsing, and the next, you’re sucked into the world of fitness models and personal trainers, each more jacked than the last. That’s when I found *him*.
This guy was perfection in human form. Towering height, muscles that looked like they were chiseled from stone, and a face that screamed confidence. The guy even rocked a thick, perfectly groomed mustache that somehow made him look even more masculine. His profile was full of workout tips, nutrition advice, and those motivational posts that usually make me roll my eyes. But something about him had me hooked.
“Man, if I had that body,” I muttered to myself, almost jokingly. But then the thought took hold. *What if*?
I shot him a DM, asking for some beginner tips—playing the part of the clueless newbie. To my surprise, he replied almost instantly, eager to help. We went back and forth for a bit, him giving advice and me pretending to be interested, while I worked on something far more… *ambitious*.
As we chatted, I tapped into an ability I’d been perfecting—a way to connect with someone on a deeper level. To reach out and *take* what was theirs. He had no idea that while he was busy explaining how to start on squats and deadlifts, I was making a connection that would change everything.
And then, with one final push, I felt it—the shift.
Suddenly, I wasn’t lounging on my bed anymore. I was standing in a gym, holding his phone in his hand, feeling the weight of his massive arms, the strength in his legs. I flexed one arm, watching as the muscles bulged, hard and defined, beneath the skin. My heart pounded with excitement and something else… an overwhelming sense of power.
Tumblr media
I took a deep breath, my chest expanding with muscles that weren’t mine just a moment ago. I was in *his* body now, and damn, did it feel good. The thick mustache above my lip twitched as I grinned at my reflection in the mirror, marveling at how it suited this face, this body. I ran a hand over it, feeling the rough bristles that added an extra layer of ruggedness to this perfect form.
“Holy shit,” I whispered, my voice deep and resonant. *His* voice. My voice now.
My phone buzzed in my pocket—*his* pocket, I reminded myself—and I pulled it out to see a flood of missed notifications. But those could wait. The first thing I did was block my old account. Whoever was stuck in my former body wouldn’t be getting any help from me. They’d just have to deal with the shock of being… *me* now.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, across town, I could only imagine the horror and confusion on my former face as the realization hit. That once-comfortable body now felt alien, weak in comparison to what I had now. But I couldn’t waste time worrying about him—this was about me, about *living* in this body, and I intended to enjoy every second of it.
I turned back to the mirror, running my hands over my chest and abs, flexing just to watch the muscles ripple under the skin. God, I looked good. My new body felt hot, practically humming with energy, with a need I’d never felt before. The gym suddenly seemed smaller, like it couldn’t contain everything I was feeling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An idea popped into my head, and I pulled out his phone again, quickly downloading Grindr. It didn’t take long to set up a profile—one of his shirtless pics as the main image, of course. The matches started rolling in almost immediately, the phone buzzing nonstop.
I couldn’t help but smirk at the screen. I shot a message to a couple of nearby guys, already knowing where this night was headed. The gym could wait—there were other ways to test out this body, and I was eager to explore *all* of them.
Back in that old, weak body, the poor guy was probably still staring at his reflection in disbelief, trying to figure out what had happened. But that was his problem now. I had bigger, better things to do—starting with enjoying every inch of this perfect new body. The thick mustache tickled my upper lip as I grinned wider, anticipation flooding my veins.
This was going to be fun.

George Clarke was not your average gym-goer. Sure, he showed up four times a week, right on schedule, but it wasn’t because he was obsessed with bulking up or shredding down. That was just a bonus, the gym was more of a sanctuary for George—a place where he could clear his mind, focus on something tangible, and take a break from the relentless cycle of creating content.
Life as a TikTok and Youtube star had its perks, of course. George loved the excitement, the creativity, and most of all, the connection he felt with his fans. But there was an intensity to it that sometimes left him feeling drained. That’s why he cherished his time at the gym. Here, among the rows of dumbbells and treadmills, he could just be George, a guy trying to stay in shape and enjoy his workouts.
He had his routine down to a science. Mondays were for chest and triceps, Tuesdays for back and biceps, Thursdays for legs, and Fridays for shoulders and abs. He’d plug in his earbuds, crank up his favourite playlist, and get to work. The repetition was comforting, and over time, he’d come to recognize the regulars the same faces appearing day after day, each of them absorbed in their own world.
One face, however, had started to catch his eye more than the others.
She was new, or at least new to George. He first noticed her one chilly November morning, about three months ago. She had wandered into the gym with an air of confidence that suggested she wasn’t a beginner, but George had never seen her before. Dressed in sleek black leggings and a simple tank top, her hair tied back in a high ponytail, she moved through her routine with a focus that George admired. She was strong, no doubt about that. He watched as she effortlessly hoisted weights feeling comfortable while doing so and was engrossed in her routine, not bothered about anyone else at the gym, just like George.
It wasn’t just her strength that caught George’s attention. It was her smile, which she offered to the staff at the front desk as she checked in each morning. It was the way she seemed to tune out the rest of the world when she was lifting or on the treadmill, completely immersed in the moment. It was the way she caught him looking once, their eyes meeting for a split second before she looked away, a faint blush colouring her cheeks.
George didn’t know her name. She didn’t seem to be on social media, or if she was, he hadn’t been able to find her. But there was something about her that intrigued him, a mystery that he wanted to solve. He started timing his workouts to coincide with hers, subtly shifting his schedule so that he’d be there when she was. He didn’t want to come off as creepy or overly interested, but he couldn’t help himself. He was drawn to her in a way he couldn’t quite explain.
It was a rainy Thursday afternoon when fate finally intervened. George had just finished his third set of squats and was about to move on to lunges when he noticed her struggling with the leg press machine. She had loaded the plates onto the machine but seemed to be having trouble with the lever that locked it into place.
Without thinking, George walked over. “Hey, do you need some help with that?”
She looked up, surprised, and George felt his heart skip a beat. Her eyes were a deep, warm brown, and up close, he could see the faint freckles that dotted her nose and cheeks. She was even more beautiful than he had realised, George often joked he was incapable of speaking to women and he could feel his heart thumping as the adrenaline flowed through him.
“Um, yeah, actually,” she said, her voice soft but steady. “I think this thing is stuck.”
George leaned down and gave the lever a firm tug. It clicked into place easily, and he stepped back with a grin. “There you go. All set.”
She smiled, a little sheepishly. “Thanks. I’m usually fine with this stuff, but today it just wasn’t cooperating.”
“No problem,” George said. He was about to walk away when she spoke again.
“I’m Emily, by the way.”
He turned back, surprised. “George,” he said, holding out his hand.
She took it, and for a brief moment, George felt a spark of something more than just a handshake. “Nice to meet you, George,” Emily said, her smile widening.
“Likewise,” George replied, feeling a little awkward but thrilled all the same. “Do you come here often?” He then mentally kicked himself for asking such a stupid question.
Emily chuckled. “Sounds like a line, but yes, I try to come most days. You?”
“Yeah, same here. It’s kind of my escape, you know?”
“I totally get that,” she said, her expression softening. “I work in marketing, and sometimes I just need to get out of my head. The gym helps.”
“Same,” George said, though he didn’t elaborate on his career. Most people either knew who he was or they didn’t, and he found it refreshing when they didn’t.
They talked a bit longer, mostly about their favourite workouts and the best times to hit the gym when it wasn’t crowded. It was a light, easy conversation, and when they finally parted ways, George felt a warmth in his chest that had nothing to do with his workout.
Over the next few weeks, George and Emily started to see more of each other at the gym. They’d exchange smiles or brief conversations between sets, and gradually, those moments turned into longer chats. George learned that Emily had moved to the city a few months ago for a new job, which explained why he hadn’t seen her before. She was originally from a small town up north, and she missed the quiet but was enjoying the excitement of the city.
“I didn’t know anyone here at first,” Emily confessed one day as they were cooling down after a workout. “But the gym kind of became my place, you know? It’s nice to see familiar faces, even if we don’t always talk.”
George nodded, understanding exactly what she meant. “Yeah, I felt the same way when I first moved here. The gym was where I found my rhythm. Plus my housemates are idiots so it's good to get away,” he joked.
They started meeting up outside the gym, too. It started innocently enough coffee after a workout, a smoothie on the way home. But soon, George found himself looking forward to those moments with Emily as much as he did his actual workouts. She was easy to talk to, funny, and grounded in a way that George found incredibly appealing.
And she didn’t seem to know who he was.
This was perhaps the most surprising thing of all. George was so used to being recognized everywhere he went, his online persona preceding him. But Emily seemed blissfully unaware of his TikTok fame. She treated him like just another guy, a guy she was getting to know, not a social media star.
It was a breath of fresh air.
It was a crisp winter evening when things began to change. George and Emily had just finished a particularly grueling workout as George was now training for a race for charity and were walking out of the gym together, their breath forming small clouds in the cold air.
“Want to grab dinner?” George asked, trying to keep his tone casual. “There’s this great Thai place just down the street.”
Emily hesitated for a moment, and George felt his heart drop. But then she smiled. “Sure, that sounds great.”
Dinner was wonderful, full of laughter and easy conversation. George found himself opening up to Emily in a way he hadn’t with anyone in a long time. He told her about his life, his family, and his love for creating content, though he still didn’t mention the extent of his online presence. Emily talked about her work, her friends back home, and her dreams of traveling the world someday.
As they walked back to their cars, George felt a nervous flutter in his stomach. This wasn’t just a casual friendship anymore—at least, not for him. He was falling for her, hard and fast, and he didn’t know what to do about it.
“So, Emily,” he began, his voice a little shaky. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
Emily looked up at him, her expression curious. “What is it?”
George took a deep breath. “I—well, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you these past few weeks. And I guess what I’m trying to say is, I think I’m starting to like you. A lot.” There was a pause, and for a moment, George’s heart pounded so loudly in his ears that he thought she might hear it. But then Emily smiled, and George felt a wave of relief.
“I like you too, George,” she said softly. “I was hoping you’d say something, because I’ve been feeling the same way.”
George couldn’t help the grin that spread across his face. “Really? That’s—that’s amazing.”
“But,” Emily continued, a hint of uncertainty in her voice, “there’s something I should tell you too.”
George’s smile faltered. “What is it?”
Emily took a deep breath, just as he had done moments before. “I know who you are, George. I’ve known for a while now. My friends sent me your TikToks ages ago, and I recognized you the first day I saw you at the gym.”
George was stunned into silence. “You—you knew?”
Emily nodded, her eyes searching his for a reaction. “I didn’t say anything because, honestly, I just wanted to get to know you as you. Not as ‘George Clarkeey, the guy on TikTok.’ And I’m glad I did, because the George I’ve gotten to know is incredible.”
George felt a rush of emotions—relief, happiness, and something else, something deeper. He reached out and took Emily’s hand, squeezing it gently.
“Thank you for that, Emily. It means more to me than you know. I wanted to be just me around you too, not the guy everyone sees online.”
"I think I would have been drawn to you anyway, famous or not because no one can resist you doing a squat," Emily giggled.
They stood there for a moment, the world around them fading away as they looked at each other. It felt like the start of something real, something that went beyond the likes and comments of the digital world. George had found someone who saw him for who he truly was, and that was worth more than all the fame in the world.
The days that followed were a blur of excitement for George. His relationship with Emily grew stronger with each passing day. They started spending more time together, not just at the gym but outside of it too. They explored the city, tried out new restaurants, and even spent quiet evenings at George’s place, where they could just be themselves.
For the first time in a long time, George felt truly content. He still loved making content and connecting with his fans, but now he had something—or rather, someone—who made his offline life just as fulfilling. Emily was becoming his confidante, his support system, and more importantly, his partner.
One evening, as they were watching a movie on George’s couch, Emily turned to him, a playful smile on her lips. “So, when do I get to make a cameo in one of your TikToks?”
George laughed, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. “Whenever you want. But only if you’re sure you’re ready for the spotlight.”
“I think I can handle it,” she teased, snuggling closer to him. “But no pressure. I’m happy just being part of your real life.”
George kissed the top of her head, feeling a warmth spread through him. “You’re already the best part of it.”
And as they sat there, wrapped up in each other, George realized just how lucky he was. He had found something rare and beautiful—something that made all the hard work, all the late nights and early mornings, completely worth it.
He had found love, not in the flashy world of social media, but in the quiet, unassuming moments of real life. And he knew that, no matter what the future held, he and Emily would face it together, one set at a time.

I've always been a smaller than average guy. I didn't know if you could help me become a huge bodybuilder? I don't care how my personality turns out.
Hey dude! Love that. I’m a beginner bodybuilder myself and am working on getting big too so I’m always down to help small guys grow huge too. I’m not sure if this will work or not but I got these briefs from a big guy at the gym. Try them on and see how it goes. Yeah I know they’re big on you now but…. Oh! Here we go! Your waist just expanded to fill them! Here come your legs to follow suit. Mmmm they’re swelling up so much. Getting really thick and veiny. I’m sure you’re turned in just like me but your package seems to be shrinking a bit. That is the price to pay for roids you know, but you wanted to be big right? Look at those abs popping in and now your gut is expanding with them. Mmmm hit roid gut man. I see you getting wider as your pecs swell up and expand and your shoulders round out now too. Then your arms are growing big and thick and veiny just like he rest of you. Mmm I love hearing your voice deepen as your neck thickens. You’re face is aging now bro. Looks like your a bodybuilder daddy now! Oh yeah here comes the hair all over your muscles and your beard fills in a bit. Well I would say it worked well dude! You’re now a huge roided up bodybuilder. I know it feels weird but you’re gonna just live in the gym now. You don’t have a social life outside of bodybuilding. Bodybuilding is your life now dude! Now go and pump some iron! You got a show coming up in a few weeks.

Beginner's Guide to Wolfstar (Long Fics)
(here's a list of my top 10 favorite long fics ranging from 259k to 59k words)
Momentum by children_of_the_shadows (ao3) 259k
If you have to ready any canon compliant (mostly) marauders through the years fic, this is the one, Children_of_the_shadows is one of the best writers ever, Top 3 fic authors.
2. Text Talk by merlywhirls (ao3) 141k
Everyone knows text talk, it's basically wolfstar bible, Non Magic AU where the boys meet by accidently texting the wrong number.
3. Time is a Fine Invention by bluepeony (ao3) 105k
Brilliant university non magic au, with the most imperfect and human characterization of both Remus and Sirius, read it if only to humanize the both of them and their relationship. Insecurity in a relationship and Coming of age and all the thoughts accompanying it are perfectly described in this. so much foreshadowing if you read it carefully enough.
It'll make you hate and simultaneously empathize with both characters.
4. Slughorn's Sanitarium for Troubled Boys by MelloPie 65k
TW: discussion of mental health, SA, institutionalization, ab*use, s*icide, self h*rm.
Non-Magic AU, set in a mental institution, where both noys have to share a room. Its one of the first long fics i ever read, so maybe i have a soft spot for this one, and every other fic on this list.
5. The Lad That Loved You. by MollyMaryMarie (ao3) 81k
I've said this once and I'll say it again, mollymarymarie is one of the best writers out there, another top 3 author for me, all of her fics are amazing, obviously including dear you holiness, we can pretend, the only living boy in new york, i might have to do a separate recs list for that.
But, if you had to read just one, i would say The lad that loved you is the perfect one, set in their 6th or 7th year? of hogwarts, they hide their new relationship by acting like they hate each other, and let me tell you, they are exactly, perfectly themselves in this fic, and by that i mean exactly how i imagine them.
There is not one single thing about this fic that i would change. Perfection.
6. Discards by picascribit (ao3) 76k words
I can't make a fic rec without picascribit. Cure for nightmares changed my life. Non-magic AU, Remus meets Sirius in the library he goes to study at, real love isn't always perfect and doesn't involve perfect people, is what i've take away from this fic.
7. ten reasons (to go to michigan) by greyeyedmonster18 (ao3) 59k
Top 3 Fics. If you had to read any wolfstar fic, it would be this one. I've read 100's spanning from 2016 - till date, and this is the best one ive ever read.
Remus is newly divorced, and he meets Sirius Black.
If you've ever lost someone one and had to re-learn how to live without someone you never thought you would have to live without, this fic will encapsulate the gist of it in words.
In one of their notes the authors says something close to 'the hardest thing about losing someone is finding out that the earth keeps spinning and you have to keep living'
8. Dating Remus Lupin by Children_of_the_Shadows (ao3) 83k
Top 3 fics. I can't explain this fic in any words, the writing style is brilliant, the characterizations are unique and wonderful and perfect. Everything about this fic is brilliant.
Set in Year 5, Sirius Black wants a boyfriend and James tells him about the only other openly gay boy in in their year, it just happens to be Remus Lupin. Much to his disdain.
9. Remus Lupin's Guide to Successful Courting by Children_of_the_Shadows (ao3) 87k
Non Magic AU, Remus Lupin finds harry in his yard having escaped from school and return him back to Dr. Sirius Black, who's new to town and coincidently doesn't have an inkling about Remus's past, his eyes clear of any judgement are what make Remus fall for him and pursue him, court if you will.
I again cannot explain this fic. Children_of_the_shadows is the most talented writer, i will make a separate fic list for their other brilliant work.
10. Sex Pistol by ArtificialAorta (ffnet) 86k
Musicians AU, Remus is punk rock, Sirius is akin to the prince of pop, how can they not fall in love?

Note
the push-up vid u reccd was very helpful, do u have something for ‘bracing the core’? most of the ones ive seen r just sorta ‘deep breath and suck your stomach in’ which doesn’t really work for me, and i mightve lowkey injured myself doing leg raises. nevertheless i want abs!
HI okay, so, when fitness people say "bracing your core" they mean to contract your inner abdominal muscles. This isn't very intuitive unless you've already developed some awareness of your inner core or are familiar with diaphragm breathing techniques, so any "How To" guide for complete beginners is gonna be on the longer side and a bit involved. IT'S ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT THOUGH. When I figured out how to do it, I felt like I'd unlocked a superpower.
Here is a very comprehensive explanation (text form ft. images and some videos). That's how I learned to do it and 10/10 would rec.
Here are most of the same information in video form (8 minutes) and a shorter tldr (1:35 min)
[pushup video for reference] 10/10 WOULD REC THIS ALSO

Problematic and Bigoted Pagan Authors (and how to avoid them)
After what was pretty much a mess in a discord server I'm in over an author posting artwork containing Nazi symbols, I decided to make a post letting everyone know about certain authors and what to look out for. I will keep updating this list as I discover things!
Big thanks to @dvudushnydiaries for letting me know ab some Slavic Polytheist authors, as well as my friend Agnes for letting me know about some Irish Polytheist Authors too! <3
If you have any suggestions to add to this list, please let me know!!!
🛑 = Avoid as much as possible
⚠️ = Be very cautious around this author
Generally, here is some red flags to look out for:
Use of symbols associated with hate groups
Claims an (open culture) is closed via ethnicity, especially if these cultures or religions historically shared with other cultures.
Claims there is a "true" or "pure" version of a certain open religion.
Use of dogwhistles.
Writes historical inaccuracies, misinformation, appropriation, making up things and presenting them as fact, etc.
Refusal to take accountability for actions.
Any form of bigotry or discrimination
The list is under the cut!
Hellenic Polytheist Authors
🛑 Timothy Jay Alexander
creator of the "Pillars of Hellenismos", which have little historical basis.
Made homophobic and ableist remarks in a blog post, essentially saying that because ancient Greece did not allow same-sex marriage, that modern Hellenic Polytheists shouldn't too. In this same post he said that marriage should be for making a family, and that since LGBTQ+ people, as well as people with "physical deformities" either can not or should not have children, they cannot marry according to him.
The same ableist remarks listed above were used as reasoning as to why a disabled person shouldn't become a priest or priestess or any higher up positions due to not being in good health. This also reminds me of eugenics.
In that same blog post, referenced a group called YSEE, which is notorious for being homophobic, xenophobic, displaying nationalism among other things better explained in this post by @hellenic-reconstructionism
Books include: A Beginner’s Guide to Hellenismos - Hellenismos Today - The Gods of Reason: An Authentic Theology for Modern Hellenismos
🛑 Galina Krasskova
Numerous things have happened with this author, some of the most notable being selling "Bacchic Lives Matter" pins on Etsy during the 2020 Black Lives Matter movement protests, as well as defending a neo-nazi and fascist group, AFA, on a blog post
Some of her Hellenic Polytheist books include: Honoring the Mothers: Novenas to the Mothers of Our Gods and Heroes - Combatting the Evil Eye - Unto Herself: A Devotional Anthology for Independent Goddesses - Out of Arcadia: A Devotional Anthology in Honor of Pan - Guardian of the Road: A Devotional Anthology in Honor of Hermes
See Norse Polytheist section for her books on that.
🛑 Edward P. Butler
Supports Hindutva, which is Hindu fascism, antisemitic, as well as defends and supports Galina Krasskova.
Books include: Essays on a Polytheistic Philosophy of Religion - Essays on Hellenic Theology.
🛑 H. Jeremiah Lewis / Sannion
Neo-nazi, having nazi symbols on his blog. Also transphobic, islamophobic, and everything under the sun, really.
Books include: Ecstatic: For Dionysos - End to End - Everything Dances: Strange Spirits 3 - Gods and Mortals: New Stories of Hellenic Polytheism
Norse Polytheist Authors
🛑 Galina Krasskova
See Hellenic Polytheist section for details.
Her Norse Polytheist books include: Living Runes; Theory and Practice of Norse Divination - Northern Tradition for the Solitary Practitioner - Neolithic Shamanism; Spirit Work in the Norse Tradition
Irish Polytheist Authors
⚠️ Lora O'Brien
Has a cultish following, thier followers and even themselves bullying and publicly shaming other Irish Polytheists. Often acts negatively towards the Irish diaspora. Has taught Irish Catholic practices, which are closed.
Runs the Irish Pagan School, which has similar rhetoric.
Books include: Irish Witchcraft from an Irish Witch - A Practical Guide to Pagan Priesthood
Slavic Polytheist Authors
🛑 Patricia Woodruff
Has a cultish following, often writes wildly inaccurate information. In a recent book she had completely made up a deity whose name means "swastika". Rated her own books on Goodreads, and publicly responded to any reviews criticizing her books.
Books include: Woodruff's Guide to Slavic Deities - Roots of Slavic Magic Book 1: Slavic Deities & Their Worship
🛑 Madame Pamita
Recently had a (now-deleted) post with an artwork containing various Nazi symbols, and deleted any criticism and seemingly refused to take any accountability. In DM's had repeatedly alluded to if you didn't follow her you "didn't know anything about Slavic Polytheism". Said to be friends with Patricia Woodruff
Books include: The Book of Candle Magic, Baba Yaga's Book of Witchcraft
🛑 Dmitriy Kushnir
Writes about Rodnovery, which many Rodnovery groups in the US and other countries often have ethnonationalist and right-wing connotations and ideology.
Books include: Rodnover
⚠️ Natasha Helvin
Misconstrues Slavic culture to be Wiccan
Says witchcraft are the "universal laws of nature" and that subjects of karma and divine judgement are solely monotheistic.
Claims to be an initiated Haitian Vodou priestess, which is doubtful.
Kemetic Polytheist Authors
⚠️ E. A Wallis Budge
Inaccurate translations of texts
Books include: The Egyptian Book of the Dead (Translation)

Jo March: The Pragmatist
One of the most common complaints I hear about Little Women is the way it ends. Many people think that Jo stifles her creativity and gives up on her writing in order to marry Professor Bhaer, which isn't true. Jo writes a very successful book in one of the sequels, Jo’s Boys, but let's set that to the side because what I really want to discuss is what Jo actually thinks of the writing she’s doing in the latter half of Little Women.
In Part I of Little Women, we see the type of writing that Jo does prior to selling her work. In “A Merry Christmas,” the family puts on The Witch’s Curse, an Operatic Tragedy, which seems to be a Shakespearean melodrama. In “Jo Meets Apollyon,” the book Amy burns in anger is “half a dozen little fairy tales.” In “The P.C. and P.O.,” Jo writes a comedic poem and a lament for one of Beth’s cats. Finally, in “Secrets,” Jo submits a tragic romance to The Spread Eagle (one assumes that this name was less funny when Little Women was originally published in 1868.) The Spread Eagle doesn’t pay beginners, so we can assume that everything written up until this point is the type of writing Jo does for herself when there’s no pressure to make changes to please an editor in order to get a paycheck.
Part II begins with the chapter “Gossip,” which catches us up on what’s been happening over the past three years. Jo is now a regular contributor to The Spread Eagle who receives a dollar for each story. She refers to them as “rubbish,” so she doesn’t seem particularly proud of the writing she’s doing, but she’s in the process of writing a novel she hopes will win her fame and prestige.
In “Literary Lessons,” Jo observes a boy reading a newspaper story illustrated with a dramatic scene of “an Indian in full war costume, tumbling over a precipice with a wolf at his throat” and two men stabbing each other while a terrified woman flees the scene. When the boy offers to share, Jo agrees more because she likes the boy than because of an interest in the story. The story is sensation fiction, which Jo privately thinks is trash anyone could have written. However, when she learns the author is making a good living from her stories, Jo decides to try her hand at this new style of writing. She submits the story to a contest the newspaper is running and wins $100. Jo uses the money to send Beth and Marmee to the seashore. She’s proud of her ability to earn money to help her family, so she continues to write these kinds of stories since they are lucrative.
She later finishes her novel and sends it to multiple publishers, only one of whom is interested, and only if there are major cuts and revisions. After conflicting advice from her family, she decides to make the requested changes, which earns her $300 and some very mixed reviews that lead Jo to respond, “Some make fun of it, some over-praise, and nearly all insist that I had a deep theory to expound, when I only wrote it for the pleasure and the money. I wish I’d printed it whole or not at all, for I do hate to be so misjudged.”
In “Calls,” Jo reluctantly joins Amy to return calls to their neighbors with generally disastrous results. One incident involves Jo receiving a compliment on her writing.
Any mention of her “works” always had a bad effect upon Jo, who either grew rigid and looked offended, or changed the subject with a brusque remark, as now. “Sorry you could find nothing better to read. I write that rubbish because it sells, and ordinary people like it.”
This passage makes it very clear that Jo isn’t proud or fond of what she is writing. The reception to her novel combined with the money she can make from sensation fiction has changed Jo’s primary motivation for writing. She is no longer doing it for the love of writing or because she’s pursuing her dreams. She’s trying to make money to help out her family.
I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing. We all have periods in our life when we take a job that we aren’t extremely excited about because it will allow us to achieve something that is more important to us. However, it’s a different narrative than is usually spun about Jo who is frequently depicted as continually working towards her dream. There is a role in Castles in the Air that fits that narrative. It’s called the Striver, but I don’t think that’s the role that Jo has. Instead, Jo is the Pragmatist, which is a role about setting aside your dreams for the moment because you have other responsibilities. Both are interesting conflicts, but they lead to very different conclusions when it comes to Jo’s story!
With that in mind, let’s take a look at “Friend,” which follows Jo in New York. She’s now writing for a newspaper called the Weekly Volcano, which has required Jo to make so many changes to her stories that she decides to have her work published anonymously. That certainly wouldn’t be a good career move if she was truly trying for fame! She’s also come to greatly respect a man staying at her boarding house named Professor Bhaer. One day, he makes a comment about a newspaper that publishes sensation stories like the ones Jo is writing. Her response is telling:
Jo glanced at the sheet, and saw a pleasing illustration composed of a lunatic, a corpse, a villain, and a viper. She did not like it; but the impulse that made her turn it over was not one of displeasure, but fear, because, for a minute, she fancied the paper was the “Volcano.”
Professor Bhaer notices her look and guesses the truth, but instead of letting her know this, he decides to gently explain his reasoning. After this, Jo goes back to reread the stories she has been writing and decides to burn them. Far from stifling her creativity, Professor Bhaer is the one who sees that Jo is ashamed of her writing and reminds her that she is capable of more.

I was trying to study buff anatomy, I was using pinterest, but then it started showing up some baka drawings and weird photoshopped photos and it makes me really uncomfortable. Do you know any site I could use to study that has at least an option to show only safe for work images?
Anon, I think I understand what you're asking but I just need to confirm one thing...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
....bara?
Did you possibly mean bara drawings???
If you did indeed mean that you don't want to potentially be flipping through mildly sexual bara images and bad photoshop jobs wherein dudes give themselves too many abs to compensate for a lack of personality, then perhaps I might be able to help!
Keep in mind that if you want to study musculature and anatomy, you may need to put up with nudity no matter what. And no matter what way you spin it, many nude anatomy studies may be classified as 'nsfw' because unless you work in an art studio...... yes, it WILL be not safe for work, even if it's not sexual.
My first piece of advice - stop using Pinterest.
It's a good tool for collecting images, yes, but it will not be an adequate teacher for this sort of thing. It may also give you references which are not entirely realistic. Of course, un-realistic art and exaggeration in art are fine! But as a baseline to learn from, it isn't good.
Second - if you're looking for poses to reference for art, check out AdorkaStock, a long-time, famous photo-reference account that has thousands of human references for free!
Third... If you're looking specifically for BUFF references, it's going to be better to look for actors or famous people who you KNOW are well-muscled instead of searching for a random 'big buff guy' online.
For example, think of an actor you consider 'buff'. Search via google for candid photos of him - with safe search on. Chances are, you can get some references which are not uncomfortable for you.
Look, here's one of Jason Momoa!
Tumblr media
For a beginner artist, this may be enough! You don't have to draw every single muscle bulging to give the idea to your viewers that a person is ripped. The proportions of his shoulders, the wideness of his arms, etc, is already enough, and it will go a LONG way to visually suggesting muscles than a rob liefield lookalike.
For anything more than that, you'll need to get comfortable with seeing people naked, or almost-naked, and simply seek out photos of athletes with the type of body you want to draw! Swimmers, triathletes, football players and rock climbers are all 'buff' but in different ways. Looking through photos of these athletes may give you a better idea of the variety that's out there.
And for any other anatomy lessons, I do recommend YouTube because there are many art teachers who offer their advice for free. For example this guy, who explains anatomical bone and muscle groups to help your illustration!

trobed fic recs?
i take my job as an armchair tumblr connoiseur of trobed content way too seriously so here's my giant masterlist of all my favorite trobed fanfics. i didn't cross check this with any previous lists so there may be some overlap but this one is more extensive and will include some older fics. also if it's not listed here that doesn't mean i don't love it, these are just the ones i specifically remembered to write about. please send the authors some love if you have the time to check their works out!
also i did go through all 87 pages of content on the troy barnes/abed nadir tag in order to find some of these. no, i haven't read them all, but i have read most of them.
fitter, happier, more productive by Toft: i've reread this fic so many times and i regularly forget it's over a decade old. if you haven't read any older trobed fics you are absolutely missing out
Advanced Cohert Dating by Aria: classic trobed fic, so cute and in character
Beginner's Relationship Detecting by KlavierWrites: in quite a similar vein to the last one, but i like both!
Fundamentals of Self-Awareness by Rainbowcat: a great lighthearted read, it's one of the most popular trobed fics for a reason.
Homosexuality and Homosociality in Queer Cinema by ama: this might be the first trobed fic i ever read? still so good and a must read for any gay troy barnes truthers
Annie, Abed and the Long Con by callmealvinandthechipmunks: know i've talked about this one before but it's just so great. the shrack plotline is genuinely one of the most canon things i've ever seen written for greendale
Introduction to Unconscious Bias by theimprobable1: i'm a sucker for the trope of troy thinking hes homophobic when he's actually just gay for abed
cardiovascular endurance and the art of recovery by clonetrobed: you guys know i love my abed h/c especially when it's to do with abed's bullying.
His Innermost Thoughts by LeetSpeak: my favorite trobed high school au, definitely inspired me while i was writing mine!
My Angel by orphan_account: trobed ghost fic that did make me genuinely sob
never could be sweeter by clonetrobed: this fic is just straight up a work of art.
Advanced Emotional Reconciliation and Anti-Clone Catharsis by Luuuna03: been a minute since i read this one but it's a great multi chapter reunion fic!
Fits Like A Glove by human_tennis_elbow: super cute trobed proposal!!
just you and i tonight (why don't you figure my heart out?) by r3medialcha8s: the day r3medialcha8s starting posting on a03... you just had to be there. their impact
the things we don't write in our autobiographies by fffggghhh: similarly to prev, the fic that put user troybarnesbabygirlconfirmed on my roster. god bless my insanely talented mutuals
Assignment Extension Rejected by ChrisSucks: speaking of talented mutuals this fic is criminally underrated
when it comes to a lot of the authors on this list i could put like every single fic they've have ever written, and there's so much i didn't get to, but this post took me ages so im gonna call it done.

Low Energy and Accessable Deity Work
I've gotten a few DMs now that inspired me to make this post- Thank you All who asked, I love getting post inspiration !
I know not every Norse worshipper (including myself!) does not always have time to put full efforts into their work. I personally am disabled and sometimes I am in and out of hospitals, as well as simply don't have the energy to keep up! Sometimes my altars sit dusty for months.
I want to start by saying Deities are forgiving. While some have seemed frustrated with me before, they always end up settling back into routine with me in time. I tend to start by dusting off and cleaning the altar when I have the time and energy, as well as give an offering and prayer. The short of it is-
Modern Life gets busy. You get Busy. You get sick. They understand. They won't hold it against you or abandon you.
Now for the actual advice! (Sorry for the long intro 😅)
APPS:
I find apps to be incredibly helpful when I don't have the energy to do a full workup to my worship. There are apps that you can draw and read tarot cards from, apps to track moon phases, apps for runes, all of it! Some of my most useful FREE apps I'll list below. (Not Sponsered)
Daff Moon- this app can track the cycles of the moon down to the percentage! It also tracks sun rises and sets, planetary alignment, and other astronomical events! When I can't do my research for moon phases in the coming days or weeks, this app is very helpful.
Runic Formulas- This one is SUPER useful to me personally. I don't always have energy to throw my runes, bones, etc. Not only will it give you runes with deep descriptions, associations, and more, but it's SO helpful when it comes to creating your own bindrunes or studying pre-made binds! It also has an in depth course that teaches beginners about Norse Paganism and different Deities!
Learn Old Norse- Not for everyone of course, but I like to try and pray in the original languages of the culture. It will teach you Grammar, Pronunciation, and more!
Low Movement Days:
Sometimes, pain, sickness, and Disabilities make it hard for people to move. And there's no shame in that!
Prayers in "odd" places- one does not always need to kneel before ab altar or raise their hands or even speak to pray. Sometimes it's easier to lay in your bed, couch, wherever you are, and think of your deities and your prayers to them.
PDFs! Sometimes books aren't accessible to all, but often I've been able to find online versions of most texts and books I adore (Somewhere there is a post with book recommendations), but it's very useful for affordability, restricted movement, etc.
Offerings- not all offerings need to be a huge ritual, I promise. Sometimes it's as simple as setting a new item on the altar. Sometimes it's a small prayer when you think of them. Maybe it's going on a small walk for them. I personally work with Fenrir, and will go on walks offering to let him use my eyes and experience freedom from his chains briefly, or I offer my pain, some food as I eat, etc. I've also simply sat on my bed and meditated. Your practice can change day-to-day, and that's okay!
Travel:
Sometimes we are away from our altars. Whether it's a vacation, a hospital stay, or just a time you're gone from home for ages. You're not required to pack up your whole altar or bring a ton of things with you, it can add more stress than good. Sometimes, all I do is sit in front of the altar, speak that I'm leaving for a while, and promise an offering or altar clean when I get back.
Charms! Sometimes is one so desires, you can enchant a devotional piece of jewelry, a veil, or even a water bottle you carry around (I see you, chaos magic users) to carry around as a symbol to your devotion, and sometimes touching or feeling it or saying a prayer on the go is a lovely way to connect. I wear an Obsidian ring for Fenrir and a Coffin Nail necklace for protection. It's very helpful to have as I travel.
Important Travel- our health and well-being need to come first. I view it in the same light as many Islamic and Muslim religions. One can prioritize themselves when in any danger. Deities will not be important in those situations, and they will absolutely understand.
Mental Blocks/Disabilities:
As someone with Autism, it can be hard to know exactly what to do. I struggle with meditation when I get distracted easily and can even forget about my routine and duties I like to do. ADHD and more forms of Neurodivergence, like depression, can make it extra hard on some folks.
Don't be too hard on yourself. - Its very easy to feel like you're not doing a "good job" or failing promises to your Devotion. Beating yourself up over it (as hard as it is not to), can be extremely difficult. I find it helpful to simply apologize if I feel like it. They'll understand
Base your practice to you! Not everyone has the exact same abilities and not everyone can do certain things! You don't need to be perfect or follow everything you see on the internet. Often it's people showing their best and most dramatic presentations. It doesn't need to be perfect all the time.
You don't have to do everything. Some people struggle to meditate, others with focus on tarot readings or pendulum readings. It's okay to completely opt out if those despite them being common!
Accessibility and Affordability:
Not everyone is able to afford fancy crystals, tarot decks, and to set up entire altars. Some people grow up in houses with other religions and can't practice safely. Paganism isn't always accessible to everyone, but here are safer more accessible ways! Here's a couple:
Tarot Deck replacements- playing cards can make a great replacement for a tarot deck. If anyone wants a tutorial, let me know and I'll post one! You can also make/draw your own and make it comfortable to you, and if anything it's easier to connect more. You can hide them easier by saying it's just drawings. They also make Braille tarot cards for my blind folk. :)
Crystals- They aren't a necessity for your work. I often see people talking about their beautiful altars and crystal collections, but it really isnt needed. Not to mention the prices some shops charge! Sometimes connecting with nature is easier. Rivers rocks for water deities is an example. You can also see what crystals can be found in your area and dig them yourself.
Pendulums: It's easy to make your own! Before I could afford all the "fancy" supplies, I used a ring on a necklace or a necklace with a heavy charm to communicate.
Deity Statues: In religious hoseholds that don't accept you, this can be very unsafe, not to mention expensive! I had to pay 80 US dollars for a Hekate piece once. You don't need expensive statues to worship your Deities, you can print out small pictures if them you are drawn to at home. If you don't have access, some libraries offer free or 10ish cent (a US dime) printing. :)
For my closeted folks, celebrating pagan holidays in private can bring joy. Find foods associated with those holidays and eat them! I've attached a basic wheel if the year above. :)
A Farewell:
I think I've touched on many things in this post, but I'll keep updating it as I think of more things! Also feel free to comment if you want me to add anything to said post.

Kara hangs some four feet off the floor, palms sweating, legs trembling, and tries not to close her eyes. Four feet might as well be forty. Might as well be four hundred. The move is a drop knee and a reach up with the left hand and she can do it, has done it before, has to do it again because otherwise fear wins this one and since when does Kara Danvers let fear win? She turns the knee in but the left hand has a mind of its own and it wont let go. If she lets go she’s going to fall. And if she falls…
She pushes off the wall and drops the four feet with ease, lets her knees fold, indulges in an unnecessary backwards flop onto the mat. She stays there for a long moment, eyes on thick wooden rafters high above, chest heaving with what feels even to her to be unnecessary drama. The absurdity of it all would make her laugh if the frustration of it all weren’t burning hot through her veins. It’s a V0. It’s a climb for beginners. For Kara, it should have been nothing.
But today it’s something. Alex would say, we are taking each day for what it is. We are meeting each day as we are. We are refusing to swell in the past. Easy for Alex to say.
Kara rolls to her feet to take up a perch on the cubbies just off the mat. A couple of minutes and some water and she can try again. It’s about the strength of her will, isn’t it? The body is strong. Not as strong as it once was, but strong enough. It’s the mind that falters. A boy no older than 14 scrambles up a route of tiny chips, his weight all on his fingertips and toes, defying gravity 16 feet straight up with no hesitation, and Kara looks away. There is nothing, and everything, to fear. And isn’t that what she’s come here for? To look fear in the eye and win? Because if she wins…
“Injury?”
Kara startles so hard she almost knocks her own water bottle out of her hand. The woman who settles down onto the cubbies next to her suppresses a smirk. Kara tries without success to suppress her own heartbeat. Green eyes meet hers for half a second and flicker away. Suddenly Kara finds herself fascinated by the loose thread on the seam of her climbing pants.
“Sorry,” the newcomer says. “I know it’s hell of an assumption. I just thought- I’ve seen you around a couple of times.”
Kara has seen her around too, because, and she means this in the gayest possible way, shoulders. The woman beside her is, according to all available evidence these past few weeks, allergic to shirts. Addicted to sports bras. And she’s clearly never skipped a training day in her life, because shoulders. Has Kara mentioned the shoulders? And let’s not talk about the abs. Kara cannot, in fact, look away from the abs. She makes a noble effort to redirect her attention to the lose thread.
“I just joined a couple weeks ago,” she chokes out.
“Lena.”
Kara is so busy looking the other way she hesitates far too long before taking the hand offered to her. Who shakes hands these days anyway? But she takes it, and then she hesitates another moment too long before letting go, because warm.
“Kara,” she replies.
“You don’t move like a new climber, Kara,” Lena comments. “But I never see you on anything steeper than a V1, so I’ve been wondering. And it’s super rude of me,” she concedes, nudging Kara with another smirk, “ but I thought I’d just ask because, as it happens, I am also working some lower grade problems right now because I tore my ACL a little while back.”
“You tore your-”
Lena waves her off. “Happens. So I was wondering if-”
“Happens?” God. Humans are fragile. And reckless. And well muscled. And warm. God. Focus.
“So I was wondering if you wanted to be my injury recovery accountability buddy. You know? We can hype each other up, remind one another that there’s no shame in easier climbs. Maybe we can meet up and do a couple workouts off the wall, some prehab, some core. That sort of thing.”
What Kara should say is, “Sure, but if we’re doing that, I’m definitely gonna need your number.” Maybe not. Maybe something similar to that but smoother and paired with some kind of winning smile. Kara has never before this moment worried about whether her smile is winning or not. What she says instead is, “I’m actually not injured. It’s- I can’t get out of my head.”
Lena nods slowly, her gaze joining Kara’s on the loose thread now twisted tight between Kara’s fingers.
“So…” she says after a long pause, “Was it a fall?”
For an instant, Kara is there again. And it is four hundred feet rather than four, and the concrete rushing up so fast below her, and the taste of ash in her mouth, the smell of iron and blood choking and choking her as the wind whips past, and then the crack-
“Yeah,” she says. Her fingers flex. “And now I can’t- And now I’m scared of heights. And I’m-” Human, she almost says. “And I’ve lost a lot of strength.”
Lena reaches out to tug the loose thread from between her fingers. “Just because it’s in your head,” she says, “Doesn’t mean it isn’t an injury.”
That’s the kind of thing Alex would say. That’s the kind of thing that would make Kara want to roll her eyes on a good day - would, on a bad day, make her want to scream and rage against the unfairness of a solar flare that might just never end, against the tedium of building strength and endurance one slow painful day at a time, against the weeks piling one on the other, the waiting, the fear, the courage that never comes back to her no matter how hard she tries.
Coming from Lena, it isn’t so bad. Lena’s hand lingers on Kara’s a moment too long, and Kara decides the line. “Guess I’ll need your number if we’re gonna be accountability buddies.” She tries the winning smile too, risks a glance back up into those too green eyes, just for good measure.
Lena laughs. Her hand is still on Kara’s, that loose thread between her fingers. “Guess so,” she replies.

Free Palestine, don't support Neil
Title: Sugar Free (4)
Part 3
Abby's house is a comfortable home not far from Dina's. You take in the paintings left from the old world, admiring the simple and beautiful layout of the two bed one bath.
"This is the guest room," Abby introduces. It's a plain full size mattress with one pillow, and a navy cotton bed spread. "This is my room," she directs towards the other room. Two pillows on a queen size mattress, satin grey bedspread slightly untucked. The few belongings she brought are laid on the shelves tiered on the walls.
"These aren't common to come by," you run your fingers along a photo album. Inside are pictures from the old world. No families, just landscapes. Each signed by photographers maybe even Joel wouldn't know.
"They're not." Abby steps up behind you, gently sliding her hands over yours before she closes the album. Her fingers slide up to your wrists before she pulls away again. You turn around to face her. Abby's close enough you notice she smells like pine.
"Wow, tension so thick I can cut it with my knife!" Ellie awkwardly jokes. Abby takes a few steps back from you.
"Why are you here?" Abby addresses Ellie. Ellie raises the casserole dish in her hands.
"Basic house warming. I knocked and you didn't answer. It's cold and it was either I broke in or you risk losing out on this lovely dinner." The dish dances in Ellie's nervous hands. Abby takes it gratefully.
"Thank you. I appreciate it. Why don't I put this up and we can find something to do?" You watch Abby as she leaves the room. Ellie nervously itches her ear.
"What's wrong?" You pull her closer by the belt. Her breath hitches.
"Are you replacing me because I'm spending more time with Dina?" It's scrambled when she spits it out, but you think you understand her question.
"No baby. You're still my girl," you leave a kiss to her neck. "Right?" You quirk your brow at her. Ellie nods.
"So then, what is Abby to you?"
"A new friend." You answer honestly.
"Do friends do this?" Ellie turns you around and presses herself against your back. Her nose nuzzles into your hair.
"We do," you push your hips back before stepping away from her. "Abby is our host. Play nice." You walk out of the bedroom, leaving Ellie behind heaving breaths and red faced. Abby is tucked into a closet, reading the names of some board games.
"Are any of these fun?" Abby asks, turning around to look at you.
"I'm sure at least one is." You look at the small bit of her abs exposed from her shirt. Abby's gaze follows yours.
"Like what you see?" She teasingly reveals her belly button before dropping her shirt again.
"I wouldn't mind seeing more." You step close to her. Abby's body feels like a radiator. "Let's see what we're working with." You check out the games in front of her. You stand on your toes to reach the one in the back, then feel a large hand on your back to support you. You bring the game down slowly. The hand finds its way under your shirt on your lower back.
"What's this game?" Abby leads you to the living room. Ellie is sat on the couch playing with her belt end.
"This is one Joel showed us way back when I first got here. It's called Monopoly." You explain, opening the box. Ellie sits up excitedly.
-
Ellie insists on being the banker and Abby lets her, wanting to understand the game before she has any roles.
The game starts as any Monopoly game does. Each player rolls to decide who goes first, then in order of turns they each choose pieces. Abby chose the dog, you chose the boat, and Ellie took the cat.
You chastise Ellie a few times for trying to cheat her role, but otherwise the game has been smooth. Except for the hands on your thighs. One hand missing two fingers, and the other high enough to feel the heat coming from your core.
-
"Aw man," Ellie complains, handing what's left of her cash to Abby. "Beginners luck."
"Sorry Els. That's the game," you cup her cheek, letting your hand slide down and over her shoulder before you reach for the dice again. You're on your third turn stuck in jail. Not enough money to get yourself out, so you're stuck trying to roll for doubles.
"Looks like you're still in cuffs," Abby bounces a brow at you.
"Hope the cop was hot, for your sake." Ellie quips.
"I'm getting raw dogged so hard, every night. Stuck in here to be a breeding bitch for the lovely officer." You pose like a damsel.
"There are dildos you can cum with?" Abby asks shocked.
"Nah, that greedy pussy probably enjoys a thorough beating."
"Oh shut up Ellie." You laugh, tossing her cards at her. She yelps, tossing them back.
"You bitch!"
"Hey hey hey, calm down." Abby mediates. Her voice is calm, demanding. Like when Maria calls a meeting. It makes your walls flutter. "I'll cuff you both if you keep bickering."
"Try me, officer," you taunt.
"No, no I'm shutting this down. If you don't get out next turn you're both going home. It's late."
"Fine then." You fail to roll a double.
"Goodnight officer," Ellie teases with a two finger solute.
"Goodnight sheriff," you wait until Ellie's turned around to pull on her Converse to leave a kiss on Abby's jaw. "Rest up. Work early to help the patrol get fed before they whisk you away to help clear a hoard."
"All hands on deck, this one." Ellie comments. You finish cleaning up the game before joining Ellie by the door. You're very aware of two sets of eyes glued to your ass as you lace your boots.
-
You're barely in Ellie's door when you shove her into the wood. "Jealous much?" Her knife finds its spot on the table just inside.
"My girl is being poached." Her lips meet yours feverishly. "Had to mark what's mine."
"I thought this was a casual arrangement? You get what you need, and I have fun." Ellie shoves you off of her and towards the couch. You step back until you fall into the cushions. Ellie straddles your lap.
"It is. But you were my toy first. In case you haven't realized, I don't enjoy sharing." Her lips latch to your neck. She won't leave marks, but you like to entertain the concept.
"It's been too long, hasn't it princess?" You buck your hips, tossing her to the side so she lands on the couch. You crawl between her legs, one falling to brace on the floor to make room for you, the other wraps around your waist.
"You strappin' me, mama? Or are you going to leave me hangin'?"
"Don't pretend like you don't love my fingers." You undo her belt before tugging her pants and underwear to her mid thighs. "If you behave, I'll also give you my mouth." Ellie's hands reveal and massage your tits as your fingers get to work. She's soaked.
"Fuck you're right, I love your stupid fucking fingers." Ellie moans, hips rolling as your fingers wave and flow.
You target her g spot, massaging the sensitive spongy area. Your thumb comes up to jerk right circles around her clit. Ellie lets a strangled noise out of the back of her throat, body tensing as it tries to adjust to the newfound pleasure.
"Ah- Ah! Fuck- Slow down!" Ellie writhes on your hand, hips trying to escape the onslaught of pleasure.
"What if I don't want to?" You double your efforts, the sound of her wetness echoing in your ears with each squelch.
"You're a bitch!" Ellie huffs out, groaning, hands scrambling to find purchase on your breasts as you drive her closer and closer to release.
"And you're a slut," you bite back. "You haven't touched yourself since last time, have you?"
"You told me not to!" Ellie exclaims incredulous.
"You think I expected you to listen?" You yank your hand back, diving down to latch your lips on her clit.
Your tongue rolls across her pussy easily. You write your name over and over, sucking her clit like it's a straw between each round. Ellie is loud beneath you, struggling, hands grasping your hair and shirt, anything to try and ground herself as you take every nerve ending in her body and set it on fire.
-
You feel like you're drowning, in a good way. Ellie squirting down your throat, arms and thighs keeping you stuck inside her spasming cunt. You push your still sticky fingers into her mouth.
"Good girl, Els." You kiss her slow, sloppy, her hums rumbling down your throat as she gets lost in the taste of herself on your lips.
"Thank you," she gasps out, struggling to pull her pants up. You bat her hands away and do it yourself.
"You're very welcome, love." You kiss her again. "Are you returning the favor tonight? Or will we just share the bed?"

hi first anon who asked abt historical pru posts and how much i love them i almost forgot to ask this. as someone who wants to start reading historical nonfiction books for fun, what would u recommend/what are some of ur favourites? and what resources do u use to find books to read? im not particular abt whether theyre considered beginner reads and stuff i just want to start a reading list. and if any of ur mutuals who like reading historical nonfiction have any recs id love them too!! thank u sm doom
Quick rundown is that you should keep in mind that this is research for writing fiction, and not research for academic writing or argument. The rules are different!
That said, when you get a source you should interrogate it while reading on what the bias is of the writer (where they're from, societal status, the tilt they put on their work because of their opinions, the time period, etc) and then afterward decide if they did a good job at what they set out to do (this is found in the forward or opening paragraphs of the work). A work that does not have any place to list their sources in some way is for entertainment only, and not to be used as any form of research, fiction writing or otherwise.
Places you can get these books is the internet archive, ebay, thriftbooks, abe books, local bookstores, used bookstores (if you can find a university or library that has one of these, you win), the library itself, or if all else fails you can go to a new book store.
Here are some of my suggestions:
The Reconstruction of Nations - Timothy Snyder Male Fantasies (volumes 1 and 2) - Klaus Theweleit Iron Kingdom - Christopher Clark Red Famine - Anne Applebaum The GDR - Jens Schöne
These aren't the only books I personally use, but they make for a good place to start :)

I've been going to the gym for a few months now, can I message you to ask about tips/routines?
Please feel free to message me if u want more specifics. I personally run a traditional Push Pull Legs split, with 2 days a week for push right now
So for example
Sunday- legs
Monday-push
Tuesday-off
Wednesday-pull
Thursday-off
Friday-push
Saturday-off and/or abs circuit day/myoreps to absolute failure (at home workout)
Legs:
I keep it simple
Barbell squats 5x5
Hip thrusts 4x10-12
Leg press-this one is a little odd. I do one set for 10 reps and then rest 20 seconds and do 10 more reps of that same weight; I do this twice (so, 4 sets total). Use a lower weight as needed
Calf press(whatever machine is available) 5x14-20
Leg extensions 2x12-15 or a drop set
Push:
Barbell bench press- 7 set doing a pyramid style of adding weight and lowering weight throughout the sets (think=structure of the app nSuns) I do this to failure for each weight and don’t care about 1RM at all
Decline bench 3 sets to failure
Incline bench 3 sets to failure (usually 10-12)
Seated shoulder press (arms should be slightly angled in, not straight out) 4x8-12
Dumbbell lateral raise 3 to failure (8-12)
Overhead press 3-5 sets
Reverse cable fly (ESSENTIAL for big shoulders, do not skip. This will likely be very difficult at first bc these muscle are not used often and you should use a low weight to start) 3x10-12 or to failure if I want my upper body to look thiiiccc if im going out after or whtevr
Tricep dip 3 sets to failure (hits short head of Tricep)
Tricep overhead extension 3 sets to failure (hits long head of Tricep)
yeah I know my push day is crazy, but it works. not great for beginners to do this much, so I’d cut out decline bench and pick btwn seated shoulder press and overhead press to avoid injury
Pull:
Deadlift 5x5
Bent over barbell row 3x8-12
T-bar 3x10-12
Lat pull down (wide grip) 3 sets to failure (8-12 at least)
Lat pull down (v bar or close grip) 3 sets to failure, lower weight as needed to get reps in with good form
Cable row (wide grip) 3x12+ make sure you are pull the bar to the bottom of your rib cage to engage your entire back
Back extension (weighted) 2x20 if possible, just body weight if you’ve never done this
Preacher curl 4 sets to absolute failure (must be failure for growth here) at a weight you can do at least 12 reps of while maintaining form
Cross body curl 2x8-12
Cable hammer curl drop set
(I switch up bicep exercises, these are just my current)
This is my basic run-down; I try to avoid accessory movements and stick with compound lifts. For me, hitting all 3 benches is non-negotiable, but I am neurotic. Some good beginner resources are athleanx, who is my favorite exercise yt. FTM fitness has great pages as well, and I can show more info if needed.
