watched the kdrama celebrity over the last few days. was hooked from the first few seconds bc the EDITING in the show, & just the cinematography in general is on a whole nother fuckin level, man.

also, just. a really great show in general. v good at building suspense & throwing loops & very nice themes/takeaways. also just a rly interesting way to convey those themes/takeaways.

i think the only issue we had w it was the romance, but. eh. it wasn't so bad that it took away from the ample amount of good shit in the show.

imo you can't really brute force developing your own style. i think it slowly develops over time the more media you consume and get inspired by ! (i mean, i'm still trying to find my style so yk,,)

in my case, i tend to gravitate towards more semi-realistic styles, so i would need to develop my fundamentals (gestures, anatomy, line of action, etc, etc..) first as a base point. i would say learning your fundamentals is important even if you want your style to be super cartoony bc it really does help when it comes to deciding which parts you want to exaggerate and stylize and stuff. (it may be boring for some people but i promise u it rlly does help a lot !!!)

btw ur anatomy doesn't have to be perfect on the get go when u want to try stylizing 😭 shit even my anatomy was p bad before i started drawing in my 'style' so dont be discouraged !

ok when it comes to stylizing what i find helpful is copying certain aspects of an art style i like. ur not stealing their whole thing btw !! but u should try to analyze what parts of someone's style that you like !

like for example, i like how Alfons Mucha does hair, so i implement it in how i draw. i remember i liked how Ken Wakui does noses bc its simple enough, so that's what i currently do, i liked the nose bridge lines thing from mha and jjba so i added it to my drawings, and so on and so forth

obv these arent all my influences, there's probably thousands of artists i like, shows i've watched, comics and manga i've read that influenced me etc etc and our art styles are just a mish mash of all of that ! it's actually super cool to see how different people draw depending on what influenced them so ykkk

as for consistency don't be afraid to use your own art as references ! shit even i have a couple of my drawings in my inspo board because of how much i like them and sometimes i would look over and try to remember how i did those LMFAO

but idkkk i don't think you have to strictly adhere to your style. imo experimenting is good and seeing how it changes over time is super cool ! so you shouldn't stress urself out about that :3 eventually you'll develop the habit of sticking to your style, it just takes a bit of time !!

Year two of an amazing new hobby/creative outlet and being absolutely smitten with this game and its characters ~

Like last year I had to do two editions, one focused on Vince, one on Vince and Kerry, just because I can xD Because just like last year both of them have been insanely important to me in a journey of self-discovery and growth and making new connections with many wonderful people <3

I was a bit worried that towards the end of the year I wouldn't really have anything to share - bc on the one hand I went through some mental health shit for a couple of months that really drained me, and I also dived deeper into modding, which consumed a lot of my spare time XD But there still were months where it was so hard to choose just one pic!

I feel like 2024 was so much a year of experimenting and trying new stuff - especially VP comics hhhhhhh I enjoyed doing so much, be it just with my blorbos or also with friends blorbos! Super honorable mention also to my biggest VP project this year with the NC Pride get-together and y'all on CoD <3 Been an honor to take out your guys and gals with Vince and friends, would love to do it again :3 (and hope I can get to finishing NPVince and send them on adventures with you all too xD)

I have speed consumed the entirety of the available content to determine what it's about. I am going to speed consume it once more the SECOND I have time because the theories-

Currently, sitting at the theory of last name. What i find the most interesting is that he will call himself that, but hates it when others do (the whine is mostly the same across non traumatized and reverse Saran so clearly, not that BIG an insult to his person/ego but still not enjoyable) AND it's seemingly a part of his actual name. It's not "Don't call me that" but "Don't say my name/like that"

(Second working theory and the reason i need to speed consume stuff once more is for my theory of Saran not being his name/being a nickname- Bit of a long shot. But!! If he's never/rarely mentioned by name across all of the content with pre Vika people, it becomes a little more possible. After all, he seemed to have reinvented himself after his death to a point where he was comfortable again after such a betrayal, who's to say he didn't ditch a name he disliked?)

"saran" is the first syllables of his very long last name (family name). when his parents named him, he was given a first name and an unknown nickname for the time being until he was able to choose one for himself. which he later changed to "saran"

in their family, the first name is smth blessed and saying it is very intimate and only between close ones like family members or partners which is why they pick nicknames for outside the close circle

he went with "saran" bc its just the very shortened version of his family name and saved him the trouble of thinking of a new nickname

azai is the only one who knows his first name bc theres an important moment (OG amygdala ofc) where saran takes him HOME home; not to his apartment but to his families home to get a few things for their early amygdala experiments. azai overheard sarans mother calling his name bc its been ages since he showed up at his home again; later on when azai is alone with her bc hes not permitted to enter the sacred halls, she has a very sweet, motherly talk with him which he understands as permission to have her son

when he uses his name for the first time, saran has quite the feral reaction bc like i said, its very intimate. azai uses it without his permission and saran doesnt like it, esp not the way he says it, bc it implies theyre romantic partners

when he tells vika his first name, its given bc he wants him to use it and bc he sees him as his spouse. he loves the soft way vika says it and insist to call him only this. it visibly makes saran flustered too. bro could break vika any time he wants yet hes the one being broken whenever vika says his first name akjsbckj

(so yea, when baby saran yells at saran not to say it, its bc saran is mimicking his dad to piss off baby saran and its super effective. its ok for him to say bc its lit him and also the only ones using it in that time is his parents so yea, baby saran def connects it with his annoying dad LMAO

meanwhile in the reverse amygdala doodle, saran tells azai not to say it (without much bite tho than he would do in og) bc azai mocks him ("aw are you crying") - he only allows it here bc i doodled this as an azaisaran request ajksbck)

some stuff about cows in japan

-there are species native to japan, but are not what we consider to be wagyu beef today. some were imported from korea and china to do farmwork early on.

-beef is taboo in Buddhism. kinda. technically all killing of animals and meat consumption is a no no and was even written into law. japan legally turned to veganism at one point, since consumption of meat was considered religiously bad from both shinto and buddhism. this did NOT completely stop people from eating cows still bc hunger and malnutrition is a bitch. and also did not stop the upper echelons from creating rules for thee not for me ways to consume meat still. (ritual preperation or some such lmao)

-milk consumption is a ??????. some estimates put the population to be about 19% lactose intolerant. it strongly depends on how much milk is consumed for the tummy to rumbly though, so its not as if milk = instant ded.

-shinto and buddhism was meant to be seperate religions but at some point it began mixing together on some level. when prior shinto gods were more vindictive if not properly worshipped, became more humanized over time bc buddhism is big on the whole 'gods are just trying to get out of the samsara cycle like us humans too :)'. so the shinto priest began chanting buddhist sutras to their gods at some point. (buddhism began in india as a counter culture(?)/relgiion to caste system and hinduism jsyk. beef is super taboo in india.)

-cows are overpowered for being able to plough the lands super well so they kinda had a point in keeping moomoos around for farmwork. food wise these breeds didnt have too much meat so labour it was. (and fertilizers whee) also again: did not fully stop people far outside the reaches of the state to consume beef if they really wanted/had to.

-the first cow slaughtered was on Buddhist temple grounds (gyokusen-ji) bc some guy named Townsend Harris wanted to eat beef and drink milk in japan in 1866. its a power-dick move thing bc he was part of the gunboat diplomacy open up the country people. said temple was also the grounds for negotiation with the western world/traders after sakoku/isolation. (it is possible this was also done to weaken the influence of Buddhism bc they wanted an emperor god king scenario with shinto at one point. shinto and buddhism was going through redefining + split in this era.)

-today we have wagyu. wagyu when directly translated means Western(wa) Cows(gyu/ushi) and were originally imported from the west somewhere. see above. these wagyus are not native to japan, but rather 4 selected breeds after they went crazy cross breeding them.

-the main reason for the intense breeding was partially for $$$ economic reasons to get japan up into the global political stage.

finally drawing everybody's animal form after like 4 years into this au. randomly, I started with Touou. (plus bonus hanamiya bc i don't feel like coming up with the rest of kirisaki)

Explanation on selections under the cut! plus some fun animal facts!!

Aomine: black jaguar/panther. this is was an easy one, considering its a canon comparison (it's his Animal Instinct). that being said, it really does fit him! a rather lethargic creature, he's often napping in the sun or found lounging around on any free surface, but you sure don't want to get on his bad side.

Momoi: I have an agenda which is to include Momoi as a GoM any chance I get, so I very well couldn't have her as the only non-shifter in the Teiko pack now could I? That being said, it was super hard to place her, but after a little research, I decided to pick a species that highlighted her intelligence (a parrot) and then picked a subspecies that matched her aesthetically. therefore, we have the galah (aka a pink cockatoo). she's a friendly and vocal little bird and can often be seen perching on Kuroko and/or Aomine when shifted.

Sakurai: a more recent epiphany, originally I thought he was going to remain a non-shifter. but after getting a really dumb idea, I decided to double-check to see if there were any creatures that both matched my idea and fit sakurai aesthetically/characteristically. the idea? to check to see what animals consume mushrooms as part of their diet. lo and behold, one such species is the hedgehog, which I happen to think aesthetically matches sakurai pretty perfectly. it was like a little epiphany. sakurai and hedgehogs are both small and round but a little prickly. perfection.

Imayoshi: another character who remained status-less for a long time. however, upon re-watching the series I concluded that Imyaoshi is very snake-like in his expressions. after i decided that, I simply googled black breeds of snakes. eastern rat snakes are non-venomous and are therefor constrictors, who wrap around and squeeze their prey. a slow, drawn out sort of style of killing, which I think matches his conniving, slightly sadistic nature quite well. they are cute little things though and rather non-aggressive towards humans.

Hanamiya: a canon comparison (the spider's web), so he was a character who always had a second-skin when I came up with the au. however, it would be damn right goofy to just have a normal spider try to be threatening in my mind, so I tried to come up with other variants than a simple black widow/whatever the animators drew for the Spider's Web sequence. in the fic, I wrote him to be a goliath birdeater tarantula, the biggest species of arachnid, but upon reflection, I decided that it was quite important to me to keep him as a spider, that way webs would still come into play. so, I sacrificed size and looked into other, more threatening-looking and acting spiders that also spun webs and then I learned about the funnel web spider, a species native to Australia (of course). technically, they more so build spider web nests, as opposed to traditional, airborne webs, but they're fascinating little creatures. look at a close up of them too, quite frightening! they also have some of the biggest fangs relative to their body size amongst their species. they also do threatening little dances where they fan out their limbs and also have venom. their venom is extremely toxic, and can cause severe drops in blood pressure, comas, or in extreme cases, organ failure and death; so if you ever encounter one, be extremely cautious, as they are very aggressive/territorial (I personally hope to never encounter one in my life-time; though they are funnily sassy-seeming in the videos I've seen). males are typically smaller than the females, but I decided to make Hanamiya an exception and have him be on the larger side (the whole species ranges from 1cm-5cm typically) but the largest male on record was 7.9cm (a little over 3 inches)!!

i know that ankoku watches over contestants before their performances.. i think caliste gets very anxious despite her superiority thing bc of her relationship with vocal training experiments so i think ankoku would see her a lot :3 do u think ankoku would have thoughts on seeing the contrast between her breakdowns and her performances?

and i think vic would be kinda harsh around cindy like he is with everyone but he's the kinda guy to just memorize what they like so he finds some broken ass keyboard on the street and tries to fix it for her. he leaves it outside her room and denies leaving it there. idk what do u think cindy would think of him?

i think at first, ankoku would be weirded out by her superiority thing. because keeron is like the boss of ALNST, he understands the bigger picture and how serious everything is and he doesnt understand why being the best for the sake of being the best and not for the sake of staying alive is important (at least, thats how he assumes she feels). however, the more he sees her the more he understands where that comes from and the more he sympathizes with her. as for the contrast, i think he’d be happy (or as happy as he can be) that shes able to go past those nerves and perform and still do good. like she doesnt let her trauma consume her, like he does. he’d probably also feel a subconscious level of jealousy (subconscious in the way that he has no idea what jealousy is and the jealousy is very small so he can barely feel it) that she’s able to perform despite her trauma, since his main trauma prevented him from performing ever again.

i think cindy would see vic as an older brother despite his harshness. i think she’d be closest to him out of everyone in the resistance since he’s the one who “saved her” (as in found her and brought her to the resistance), so she, even if he doesnt wanna hear it, talks about herself and her feelings/trauma more to him than to everyone else. because of this, she knows that it's him who left the keyboard there. after this happens she makes him a flower crown, the first time shes made one in 8 years. after [REDACTED], cindy didn’t have anyone she could truly have a connection with, so having this older brother figure (at least in her eyes, idk if vic would see her as a younger sister) would help her get out of her shell and even though she’d never be the same person again, she’d be a different version of who she once was, a better version. Also, i think she’d be a bit clingy with him? in like super small ways though, like always sitting next to him when they're eating or like saying goodnight to him every night before she goes to bed. Its a subconscious action, but its like a trauma response. plus, i think she admires him for being so willing to put his life on the line to save others. so yeah i think cindy really looks up to and cares about vic.

If you’ve read the mirage comics or have watched the 2003 show, you know who she is… I absolutely loved her character and wish she appeared more, so I had to add her to this AU. As for how Donnie and her met (and if April knows about her), that’s a story for a different time >:3

4. This AU actually takes place pretty recently! So they were abandoned at their current ages; 9-13 years old. I wanted to keep them young because it showed how inadequate they were in being able to protect themselves and how it left Splinter no other choice than to stow his sons away somewhere else because there was no realistic chance of him being able to protect them all by the amount of ninjas after them. Donnie definitely has oldest child syndrome HHEHA he feels like he has to find the solutions for everything. In the turtles eyes, they weren’t abandoned, and whether or not Splinter is alive or not remains a mystery.

5. HAHA OMG IM SO GLAD U NOTICED IT WAS HER!! As of right now— she doesn’t know about the turtles! April has a hard time even convincing herself that the mutant turtles are real… she doesn’t wanna chase away her bestie because of it HEHAHA. NOV 24-29: okay so! after Minsk got arrested, CD stayed with their dad for a while, since their dad found out how their face got burned and he did a skin grafting surgery on their wound. CD is scared of catmons after this. While CD is in surgery and recovering, their dad (Atley Deo) takes over the account briefly (his tag is #pater plantarum). He is the head of Deo horticulture, a plant based business. Auzi owes Atley a blood debt. Atley asks about service mon and everyone and their mother suggests a smeargle. It is revealed that CD's mother and Atleys wife died in childbirth. Joltiks boyfriend breaks up with them while CD is out. When they come back they are very woozy.

NOV 30-DEC 1: CD decides to adopt an eevee egg from @/allthatglitterzz, and they receive a smeargle service mon to monitor their heart "arrythmia" , lovingly named Stencil. nobody thinks its an actual arrythmia and also people are even more theorizing that he is a plant. Speaking of that arrythmia, CD has a heart attack while home alone, and Stencil calls Joltik instead of their dad to come help. Their heart had stopped entirely, but a zap from Tik sets it back going again. Joltik calls CD's dad, and then leaves before Atley comes home.

DEC 2-DEC 6 : The eevee egg hatches! She is a beautiful baby girl and her name is Porridge, Pidge for short. CD is diagnosed with the TIsm for plant identification reasons /joke. CD and Joltik watch a lot of competition reality tv shows.

DEC 7-DEC 8: Nothing really important happens

DEC 9- DEC 15 : Joltik asks CD to catch them in a pokeball. CD keeps buying candles and they keep going missing, much to their annoyance. CD catches Joltik and it goes poorly, Joltik gets a bit messed up because of it. His candles continue to go missing, people begin to theorize about litwik. A new problem arises: a resident with a mightyena that is hopped up on X attack is roaming campus. DEC 16- : A candle appears on CD's windowsill, looking a lot like a litwick, although it has no flame. its merged into the windowsill and cannot be moved. It continues to amass more wax. CD names it Kerosene, after being hounded a bit by anons. DEC 17 -18 : Pidge briefly goes being, being found in Joltik's dorm. She knocks over a drawing filled with thunder stones and evolves into a Jolteon. Mightyena guy comes back, CD is on duty and patrols to chase him off. CD runs into him on patrol, and Pidge gets her ear torn off by the mightyena. CD goes offline, and Kerosene takes over the phone. It is implied that Kero evolved into a lanpent and consumes the mightyena to save CD. Kero uses a spirit box to communicate, saying that CD was at a pokecenter, and asking for help as she is lost. Joltik comes to find her. DEC 18 -23 Nothing overly important happens. CD accidentally helps Joltiks eevee Mint evolve into Umbreon.

DEC 23- 26: CD's dad finds out about the mightyena attack, and wants to assign CD a bodyguard which they think is stupid. their dad makes them stay home for a while. Tik comes to visit and watch shows while Atley is out. Atley comes back early, but isnt mad, just starts interrogating Tik a bit.

DEC 27-30 : Christmas present from dad!! It's a sprigatito named trowel!! Technically Juniper's first canon interaction with CD! @/sinnohstruggles

DEC 31: Lucretia Minsk escapes prison

JAN 1: the nuytsia project arc starts. should be tagged #the nuytsia project but is occasionally mispelled as #the nuystia project. Summary: joltik is infected by a parasite that makes them compulsed to protect and take care of CD, CD is revealed to be kept alive by a living plant inside them after being stillborn. Atley gains remote access of CD's phone for a brief takeover to try and explain why he did what he did. Atley then proceeds to let himself be taken to jail without struggle. CD is very very sad and distressed by the events of the arc. ARC OFFICIALLY ENDED JAN 8

JAN 9-12 : not a whole lot of importance here, cd gets sleepy and slow in the cold because plant. Juniper and CD start dating and they are cute lmao JAN 13-20 :CD's granparents get in contact, finally hearing that Atley is in jail. They attempt to get custody of CD, all of the pokemon, and all of Atley's assets. Atley did not get along well with his parents and a Lawyer will be in contact with CD, as they are being taken to court. CD quits their job as an RA and drops out of college due to stress from the oncoming court case. They begin lashing out a bit, because of the stress. CD has an argument with Juniper where Juniper attempts to help them but CD feels like they are being treated like a child. They throw the phone at the wall in frustration and Kero takes over the account. During the court case, CD has a heart attack due to the stress, and their grandparents use that to win the case, gaining custody over CD and all of Atley's assets.

JAN 21-22 : CD is taken to live with their grandparents. Their pokemon are taken from them, leaving them only with Stencil, Trowel, and Pidge (as well as Kerosene who is there secretly). CD is locked in their room at the grandparents house during this period, not allowed to leave. The house is cold and they feel slow and sick, not allowed plants or anything from home. They are fed food that makes them sick. CD begins sending audio messages to their friends, but they are short because they get in trouble when caught. It is revealed that the house is in Icirrus City. Kerosene evolved into a Chandelure in order to melt the window and get CD out of the house. JAN 23-FEB 1 : CD's phone is still broken, so they post audio recordings for a while. While in the Snowy forest, CD finds a eevee named Kiwi in a basket, who becomes very clingy and comes along with. It is revealed that CD has now been declared a missing person by their Grandparents. ALSO JUNIPER AND CD ACTUALLY STARTED DATING THE 28TH I FUCKED UP. Anons start hounding CD to go to moss rock because they think it will activate CD's latent plant powers. CD notably doesnt want Kiwi to evolve and gives kiwi 5 everstones. Kiwi dips once they get to pinwheel and loses all their everstones somehow, evolving into a leafeon, much to cds dismay. CD goes home very grumpy about this.

FEB 2- :Silvervine arc starts. should be tagged #silvervine arc. Summary: kiwi roots into cd, merging into them and making them a leafeon hybrid. minsk kidnaps CD, brainwashing/mindcontrolling them with her control over cat-mon. The hybridization merge makes CD have a rush of endorphins and dopamine to minimize the pain, giving them a floaty fuzzy feeling. cd helps minsk with some gardening ;3 lore is dropped, and CD escapes, fully hybridized, but still somewhat conditioned to listen to certain command phrases told to them by minsk, and feeling floaty fuzzy when they fall into leafeon instincts. THIS ARC ENDED FEB 5TH FEB 5th- Onward: Juniper went to a psych ward after stress from CD not wanting to see him post hybridization, he is still there. CD is briefly blocked by both tik and juniper. CD goes to live in lostlorn for a while. CD kinda breaks up with Juniper??? unclear. CD can now spead to cat mon and understand grass types. they meet a tropius named Yache who joins their team. CD lives with Juniper's pokemon team for a while before an argument happens and they leave again. now theyre kinda homeless! also! they turned into a leafeon for a few days and now they can kinda do that sometimes maybe work in progress I hope this was helpful!!!

She is still a vampire ! Part of the time, anyway ! In her main universe/the main universe i write with her in she is a human but ! i do have an AU i poke around in sometimes w/stories where she's a vampire still bc its Very important to me that she gets to keep her vampirism somewhere u know x3

The Curse(tm) depends on the type/'rank' of vampire in most my universes that i write w/them.

Lillian, for example, was changed by a man who held a moderate amnt of control over her following the change. While under his influence/control she could only drink blood n was unable to go out during the day w/out it severely burning her.

Killing him herself n drinking some of his blood basically released her from him + buffed her vampy powers up a bit. She can eat normie human food sometimes w/out getting sick and sunny days just feel like when you go outside w/a not-quite-healed sunburn- warm, tingly, hurts a little bit but its bearable. some of this is due to alien tech given to her by her husband tho to help her deal w/negative side effects.

there are also...alien vampires in this universe which are responsible for introducing vampirism to earth many centuries ago. they don't typically come to earth themselves but lilly's daughter is friends w/a few of them =3

some of these alien vamps don't really suffer many negative effects at All and have more abilities ( can turn into various beasts, teleport, turn invisible, ect ) but others are weaker than ur average earth vampire. it just depends !

ooh also if u do not consume enough blood, even if you are able to eat human food n have been doing so, you can go into a frenzied starvation mode. when this happens, people lose control of themselves and seek out a food source indiscriminately.

lets see... what else... vamps can feed off other vamps but its not as effective/does not taste good... there are some alien species w/highly prized blood... holy water and the like mostly only effects lower tier vamps and only rly works bc of the strong emotional energy behind the process of making the vamp hunting items... silverware tastes extremely bitter and acidic to them... a weaker vamp could paralyze a stronger one if their venom was different enough...

i’m of the opinion that jason todd’s current characterisation + the absolutely violently irritating fandom he has means he is unfixable as a character and honestly we should just phase him back out of comics and fandom, because my life is never easier than when i consume media made while he was DEAD

sorry this got a little rambly bc I have a lot of thoughts,,,,

before I start, my first comic book fandom was transformers which largely tends to overwrite and rewrite characterizations and has frankencanon AND frankenfanon. so I'm honestly willing to give a lot more leeway to characterization even though I love complaining about characterization. my favorite little guy from the 80s comics got hard villainized by mtmte (2012) and I defend him every day. so I'm coming at this as a guy who has suffered at the hands of god (the writers) before.

I think jason suffers a lot from writers not knowing what to do with him honestly. like it's super telling that his best post-resurrection story is widely considered the first one he was back in. but like, jason hasn't had a good track record of being consistent and given something to do.

I think his current characterization makes him a little redundant almost solely BECAUSE there are other bats that have long filled the roles he's taken up. he's much more interesting as a villain to me because of the unique place he gets in the story and the unique dynamic it provides him with bruce and the rest of the bats. helena and jpv and selina took up a lot of the space he now occupies in the 90s/early 2000s.

honestly, I think dc should just let him be unhinged and commit crimes. he's more interesting that way and he gets to be the ghost of the narrative. also like his philosophy is a lot more interesting when he just. doesn't feel bad about it.

whether or not jason is unfixable? he's really not BUT I think it'd take a soft reboot to put him back in a place where he has more narrative weight. and I don't think some people are willing to bear with jason being a villain to get narrative weight and importance or to explore all the ways that he should have utterly ruined his relationships. a lot of modern fandom has a weird thing about liking bad/villain characters to the point of being genuinely awful about it.

I do also agree the fandom tends to just... not know the canon. and I think since dc DOESN'T have over 50 hard reboots like other comic book media (see transformers, tmnt, sonic the hedgehog), it's a lot more difficult to forgive.

also just, in general, the batman fandom is sort of difficult to be in when you care about canon material. this is nothing against people bc I think participating in fandom is the gateway some people need to get into comics. but with all the content being made by people who have never actually touched any batman media it's like a really awful game of telephone. like I am a jason does not cook truther until I die and it's solely bc I a) think it's funny and b) have never seen that man cook except in gotham knights which yanks a lot from the fun batfam vibe (but gotham knights IS a love letter to the comics. I have the art book and the creators love batman. its like when tf gets a new thing. roll with the punches).

but as a direct result a lot of people are telephoning in their jason characterization and knowledge and it comes at the expense of not knowing the source at all.

jason being dead again does make him the ghost of the narrative though and I love a good ghost of the narrative. I love when he haunts those who came after him. also I think everyone should be cracking "I'm not jason todd" to bruce's face again. every time they do it it's so out of left field. I respect it

lsp episodes ranked by how much they make me want to punch myself in the face out of how upset i am that i cant hug and hold her for 4 hours straight

bad timing is the big one. the entire premise of that episode is basically “what if lsp finally found someone who really likes her and she connects with but it was her fault she lost him” and i love it. it consumes my mind that she could’ve had it all right there. and i really think the cherry on top is the way at the end she begs for bonnie to erase her memory of the whole thing. literally who wouldn’t do the same thing. i would

be sweet is rlly good because it has sweet pea and Also because it addresses that yeah lsp is now on good terms with her parents and doing things for herself and doing well but she still isn’t happy. she still feels alone and disconnected from other people and she regrets choices she’s made that make her feel like she isn’t worth good things other people have. it matters a lot to me because that specific thing of hers pretty much is never brought up any other time ever except in this episode so it’s special. also the part near the end where she sings the little lullaby to sweet pea Aaaaaaa. ya! her soft voice is my fav thing eever 😊😊😊

slime central is another one where it kinda revolves around her self esteem being put into a blender on highest speed lol. her idea of perfect is skating with her friends and having a boyfriend Basically. and that just gets taken away with her, she’s rejected and called terrible and humiliated. and yet after that she’s still herself because like. she has to be. the 2 biggest moments in that ep is when she falls over and everyone in booing and she’s just laying on her back in the dark looking absolutely mortified and after they get kicked out where she’s crying about never fitting in

I KNOW loyalty to the king is not an lsp episode but what there IS of her is really good. just that one scene of her wanting to be whatever the nice king finds most convenient for him and straight up PUNCHING HERSELF to force her body to be smooth.. Its a lot. its a good chunk of her character summarised like yea that 30 second scene is literally her

the monster is super important because it’s the 2nd super lsp centric episode and it does a good job summarising what she goes through throughout the series. trouble in lumpy space is like a basic introduction of her life in the most neutral “nothing has happened yet” state and this episode shows what happens afterwards and how it makes her feel. she craves the feeling of being in control of her life but it’s either not getting that or upsetting her parents so that’s already like. she’s in a bit of an emotional corner. so she runs away and is met with nothing but what feels like just more punishment for just wanting to prove to herself that she can do things on her own. also this episode im PRESUMING is where she discovers her love and deep connection to animals!! which is absolutely one of my favourite aspects of her so fuckin awefomeee

the prince who wanted everything is really really good bc it’s an entire episode basically of her venting her feelings through her fionna and cake fanfic of her oc. it’s mostly reflective of her feelings towards finn, how he was the one who made her really realise her worth, but also stuff about how she prefers to do things that make her feel good and free in the moment, and how she views her parents, even if just internally. also people take the line about lumpy space prince only being able to date “someone who is so much like me she doesn’t even exist” as another like ohh classic self absorbed lsp Moment haha! but i really really like it bc it resonates with me lowkey . lol

princess day is another one that revolves around her guilt for acting the way she does and it being all she knows how to be. from the very start of the episode her mere presence is seen as an offense and an insult to everyone around eachother and so, having not much else to do in that position, she lashes out on breakfast princess. which AGAINNN again is very much a summary of her entire character. people hate her no matter what so she resorts to doing all she knows - being loud and assertive to make people respect her at the very least. this episode is also super special bc it shows us the exact moment her and marcy meet !!! in my mind she’s kinda the first to person to really listen to what lsp has to say, and her troubles and stuff, and she genuinely enjoys her company and lsp is absolutely flattered by how fondly marcy treats her and frankly never stopped being super cautious of it for a while until she Knew she really likes her

summer showers is kind of a blur to me but it is super good. i really like viola and her dynamic with lsp in this episode is cute. we get a whole scene where lsp just ends up venting to viola pretty much completely on accident while trying to tell her how to get the raindrops just perfectly right, because everything in the play has to be top tier since it’s very important to her. this episode gives another peek into how much of a little nerd lsp is which NO ONE talks about. she loves writing, she loves acting things out and being super dramatic and getting really into playing characters, she gets invested in silly things, she’s like best friends with turtle princess for crying out loud. she is cringe!!!!! and it’s adorable and wonderful of her!!!

i talked about trouble in lumpy space before so continuing. i do like that basically her first act in the show is screwing something up completely on accident without her being able to control it (her ability to float suddenly disappearing and that resulting in her biting finn). it’s really really good lol. i love this episode so dearly for 2 huge reasons ; it’s the most we see of early seasons lsp, and it establishes what her life was like before she started being more independent. the people she knew, where she went and how her people view her, her relationship with her parents and her friends and stuff. i feel like without all the stuff we learn about lumpy space in this episode there’d be WAY less to lsp. im just extremely grateful for it because the damn place pretty much never appears again in the entire series apart from the happy place thing in elements and lsp’s scene in the come along with me ending sequence

the creeps, again, not at all An Lsp Episode, BUT it does have a scene that reveals some stuff about her that’s important, which is her inability to really commit to relationships without being afraid. she objects to talking about why she broke up with brad at first but while finn is talking to bonnie she just completely falls apart to the pressure (which is absolutely nothing) and breaks out rambling about how much she regrets it and how she thought all you needed to do to be a good girlfriend was to look pretty. which lfhfhfbfdbdbfbfbfbbfbf. my Girl…………….my poor girl

i dont really have anything to say about from bad to worse lol. she’s cute in it! the way she snatches the instructions immediately and pouts at everyone while doing so and the way she shoves everyone aside talking about how she should go first… So good. also she looks so fucking good with wings can we talk ab that maybe some time

gotcha is like Maybe perhaps my favourite out of all of these. and it’s probably because while a lot of these make me sad with the stuff they all imply about lsp and her insecurities, this one makes me SO happy. how she is at the beginning, how confident she is waltzing toward the treehouse talking about how finn won’t be able to resist her because of how beautiful she is, the way she makes the treehouse cozy for herself without anyone’s permission, her friendship with turtle princess sprinkled throughout the episode, the part with finn tucking her in, THE WHOLE PART WITH HIM SAVING HER SND THEN TELLING HER SHE DOESNT NEED TO BE PRETTY PHYSICALLY FOR PEOPLE TO LOVE HER. AHHHHHH . Good Episode. GOOD. Episode.

sorry for the tone change but as for those last three episodes i really dont have much to say like at all. absolutely all she is in them is a device used for a joke. WHICH IM FINE WITH.
