• Kuroko probably sucks at cooking as much as Momoi.

• When Imayoshi leads practice, he probably says some white man shit like "Easy there bucko".

• Kagami's grades were fine in that one OVA, and then never again; bro cannot study.

• Midorima probably hangs out with Takao more than he likes to admit (and Takao tells everyone).

• I think that Himuro once dropped his brotherhood ring down a grate and was like "OH FUCK" and sat by it as he waited for the council workers to get it out. Kagami would never find out too.

• Midorima once lost a lucky item and internally took a dump before leaving school early; the team was not happy.

• Izuki once attended a funeral, didn't crack a single joke and proceeded to complain about the struggle for the next week as the team just stared at him like wtf.

• While Aomine was getting back into regular practice, I think Wakamatsu would be a little bitchy around him with his new captain authorities lmao

• Sakurai cries after every official game; win or lose.

• Miyaji has thrown a pineapple at somebody: like for real.

so this isn’t something he thought of, you were actually the one who cuddled under his shirt first. and, obviously, he was like ?????

but then you tell him to try and he falls in love with it. not only does he get to cuddle against your warm tummy and listen to the sound of your breathing, falling asleep to the rhythmic pattern of your fingers running across his shoulders, but he’s covered by your shirt and cut off from the rest of the world. like this, its just the two of you in this world.

so after a hard day of practise, he automatically seeks you out. his eyes are drooping and he has an autopilot pout on his lips. once his eyes land on you waiting outside the gym his cheek draws directly to your body like it usually does—anywhere, shoulder, chest, side of your head—just to let you know what he wants.

“hello to you too.” you run your fingers through his wet hair.

“let’s go home.” he mumbles. “how was work?”

and then as soon as you two walk through the door, he practically pushes you onto the couch. he wants you to relax so he can nuzzle himself against your soft tummy. and he’s gonna fall asleep. you just need to be okay with him overheating while he’s passed out and maybe a little bit of drool.

KNB Headcanon: Which Ones Would Own A Cat

-Akashi. I can see him end up adopting a cat because he feels it is a similar creature of nature to him.

-Kiyoshi. I see him adopting many sorts of pets, cats included.

-Midorima. That one guy who hates cats only to get a girlfriend who owns several cats. With time, they win him over but Midorima will continue to blame the cat parasite for brainwashing him.

-Kuroko. I see him owning several dogs and a cat or two in the future.

-Riko. She clearly does have a weakness for cute animals like any other but with the busy schedule she has I don't see her owning a pet that requires a lot of time to take care of like a dog. She can manage doing a litterbox and feeding a cat however in between her things to do. Her cat always rests next to her feet when she's working on her homework.

-Koganei and his sister did adopt a cat to troll people.

-Himuro. I just see him as a cat owner for some reason. Perhaps it's the emo 'I'd own a black cat' vibe he omits.

-Takao. I see him owning several cats and a golden retriever someday.

-Mibuchi. He definitely owns some purebreed.

-Imayoshi. I think he'd love them for their intelligence and graceful movements.

-Sakurai. He just wants a cat because he thinks they're cute.

-Moriyama. Owns a very lazy fat cat. He adopted a kitten because he thought that his female classmates would be interested in pictures as they're absolutely adorable to start a conversation with them. But time went on, and now it's a lazy bum.

finally drawing everybody's animal form after like 4 years into this au. randomly, I started with Touou. (plus bonus hanamiya bc i don't feel like coming up with the rest of kirisaki)

Explanation on selections under the cut! plus some fun animal facts!!

Aomine: black jaguar/panther. this is was an easy one, considering its a canon comparison (it's his Animal Instinct). that being said, it really does fit him! a rather lethargic creature, he's often napping in the sun or found lounging around on any free surface, but you sure don't want to get on his bad side.

Momoi: I have an agenda which is to include Momoi as a GoM any chance I get, so I very well couldn't have her as the only non-shifter in the Teiko pack now could I? That being said, it was super hard to place her, but after a little research, I decided to pick a species that highlighted her intelligence (a parrot) and then picked a subspecies that matched her aesthetically. therefore, we have the galah (aka a pink cockatoo). she's a friendly and vocal little bird and can often be seen perching on Kuroko and/or Aomine when shifted.

Sakurai: a more recent epiphany, originally I thought he was going to remain a non-shifter. but after getting a really dumb idea, I decided to double-check to see if there were any creatures that both matched my idea and fit sakurai aesthetically/characteristically. the idea? to check to see what animals consume mushrooms as part of their diet. lo and behold, one such species is the hedgehog, which I happen to think aesthetically matches sakurai pretty perfectly. it was like a little epiphany. sakurai and hedgehogs are both small and round but a little prickly. perfection.

Imayoshi: another character who remained status-less for a long time. however, upon re-watching the series I concluded that Imyaoshi is very snake-like in his expressions. after i decided that, I simply googled black breeds of snakes. eastern rat snakes are non-venomous and are therefor constrictors, who wrap around and squeeze their prey. a slow, drawn out sort of style of killing, which I think matches his conniving, slightly sadistic nature quite well. they are cute little things though and rather non-aggressive towards humans.

Hanamiya: a canon comparison (the spider's web), so he was a character who always had a second-skin when I came up with the au. however, it would be damn right goofy to just have a normal spider try to be threatening in my mind, so I tried to come up with other variants than a simple black widow/whatever the animators drew for the Spider's Web sequence. in the fic, I wrote him to be a goliath birdeater tarantula, the biggest species of arachnid, but upon reflection, I decided that it was quite important to me to keep him as a spider, that way webs would still come into play. so, I sacrificed size and looked into other, more threatening-looking and acting spiders that also spun webs and then I learned about the funnel web spider, a species native to Australia (of course). technically, they more so build spider web nests, as opposed to traditional, airborne webs, but they're fascinating little creatures. look at a close up of them too, quite frightening! they also have some of the biggest fangs relative to their body size amongst their species. they also do threatening little dances where they fan out their limbs and also have venom. their venom is extremely toxic, and can cause severe drops in blood pressure, comas, or in extreme cases, organ failure and death; so if you ever encounter one, be extremely cautious, as they are very aggressive/territorial (I personally hope to never encounter one in my life-time; though they are funnily sassy-seeming in the videos I've seen). males are typically smaller than the females, but I decided to make Hanamiya an exception and have him be on the larger side (the whole species ranges from 1cm-5cm typically) but the largest male on record was 7.9cm (a little over 3 inches)!!

Been stumbling over your Aomine pred writing again because I got in the mood… any chance that the 2 parter where he ate Wakamatsu gets a final addition with breakfast in bed? Sakurai‘s a good cook, but I bet he‘s tasty, too… >:P

First off, I guess this is a good reminder that I need to port over some of these fics over to AO3 as well.

Second, no that wouldn't happen because Sakurai is off the menu.

In my opinion, Aomine needs a target. He teases Sakurai and gets to have banter with him and it's very easy to ship them (which I'm on board with for one). Sakurai gives him food and enjoys the results, Aomine gets food and shows off the results. In a lot of ways I think Sakurai actually enjoys the teasing and feeding Aomine directly or indirectly. And Aomine, if he ate Sakurai, he'd lose a partner and target and no longer have fun. He's already bored, why would he get rid of a source of fun? They are a pair that feeds off that antagonism and feed off of each others worst instincts.

Aomine may eat a lot but he needs Sakurai as much as Sakurai needs him. Now may Aomine be fed more or have an addition to Wakamatsu or would he do it to shock Sakurai and enjoy his reaction? Absolutely. Would he eat Sakurai? No.

been obsessed with the older brother dynamic with aomine lately

kinda goes both ways: him having older brother figures and him being the older brother. mostly thinking of this role in relation to touou, but nijimura was his first older brother figure without him realising it. nijimura couldn't help it; he sees this rowdy kid and wants to pummel him (older brother instinct) while also maybe wanting to put band aids on scraped knees and ask him if he's alright without actually saying anything (come play basketball with me. come have lunch with me. let me lace your shoes before the game.)

after imayoshi leaves touou, wakamatsu takes on the older brother role that nijimura did. only then does aomine realise what was goin on at teiko, what nijimura was to him and why he felt so weird when he gave the captain position to akashi. wakamatsu's not as nice at him, but aomine doesn't care. it's the kind of rough-housing that boys grow into and he finds he actually kind of likes it. their bickering from aomine's first-year becomes less genuine and more like an annoying habit. wakamatsu nougies him once and aomine elbows him in the ribs hard enough the vice captain has to stand in while he's getting checked out for broken bones. they're alright after that.

between him and sakurai, there's about nine days separating them in age. either way, aomine's taken up the big bully of an older brother role (entirely on accident and definitely started on accident the first day he stole food from his lunch box) but sakurai accepts it; it's an unspoken bond between two only-children. sakurai gets used to aomine's rough headlocks when he so much as reaches into his bag, and eventually starts making a substantial amount of food for him and aomine. (he once tried making aomine a lunch; he said it doesn't taste as good as stealing it from sakurai's).

listen. i just really fucking want aomine to have brothers he can look up to and pick on as someone who has his own sibling troubles. enter nijimura and wakamatsu as aomine's unofficial older brothers and one sakurai ryou, subjected to the same treatment.

pokemon AU brainrot is real (i can't draw pokemon) i have some thoughts underneath the cut, so you can read them for fun if you'd like. what i will say over it though is that once again rabbit's gigantic sexy galaxy brain gave the pokemon ideas for murasaku, moriliu, and mayukuro. mwah thanks as always you should give your brain more credit (i will force you to)

when SV came out i remember bulldozing for a charcadet cuz i saw ceruledge and was like damn that's cool, and named him "tatsuya" (first name for fun) - then i found out he had a counterpart (armarouge) and i was like wow this is literally kagami and himuro (please see their dex entries for more info). i haven't done much in the way of writing, but just know in my head there's an entire story with the dramatic breakup where they both started off with charcadet, and then stuff happened. emulating canon, basically. alex trained them with her skeledirge.

next, takao's emolga and erika's pancham torment himuro, because why not. hot man suffering or something. himuro's popularity certainly translates over to pokemon (emolga likes midorima better, but they like to tease himuro because takao does).

last of the himuro series, i do have an entire team thought up for himueri - i love ceruledge, but froslass would be THE pokemon for himuro (like, designated partner pokemon... reasons are self-explanatory). and cinccino is THE pokemon for erika (scarf...) - they're just tormenting each other. my favorite thought about this is that froslass very often thinks about making himuro a frozen statue because of how hot he is (she doesn't, because she's trained well, but she has Thoughts). she doesn't really care about erika but grows to tolerate her, and would turn her into a statue if it makes himuro happy (i mean, it wouldn't, but froslass is vibing). on the other hand, cinccino admires himuro's skin and wonders about his skincare routine.

murasakibara and sakurai own their own bakery shop, where they cater to pokemon and humans alike. don't mind the poisonous looking poffins. amoonguss (sakurai's) just chills around the shop a lot and tries to leech off the extra goodies if there are any. alcremie (murasakibara's) helps out with the baking, and is fascinated by how well the two can manage to switch between different types of pastries and bento boxes. savory AND sweet foods offered! i call it a bakery but it's a glorified bakery because they can do a lot of different foods.

moriyama and liu wei definitely start out like how i've written them in my yosen canon lol they bond over wanting to flirt and seduce women, but it creates a whole other can of sexual tension. moriyama's delcatty is often the semi-unwilling captain of moriyama's journey to become popular with women. she does love him but barely manages to tolerate his shenanigans (unfortunately, it sometimes works - girls will come up to pet his delcatty. she enjoys being pampered and the attention, at least). escavalier for liu wei, and to quote rabbit, a knight in shining armor represents his ideals best given his antiquated demeanor. plus, it's pretty swoonworthy to be popular with the ladies. they're all gay though.

mimikyu for mayuzumi and pikachu for kuroko should be self-explanatory. kuroko's pikachu has blue eyes... because why not. i imagine that mayuzumi reads out in the park often to calm mimikyu's sadness. pikachu desperately wants mimikyu to like him. mimikyu ain't having it though. however, much to mayuzumi's disgruntlement, mimikyu does like kuroko more than pikachu. no one is deterred by the other's bitterness - in fact, it's much ammo for teasing.
