I love how Smiling Friends is so 50/50 with its joke continuity, like yeah Pim's eye surgery magically reversed itself even after he said it was permanent, but that wall guy way back in the pilot? Nahhhh they sealed him up in there and he died sometime during the course of season 1 and 2

Looking closer at the mole guy scene in the trailer, and I noticed that on the left shelf, there's a doll made to resemble Pim and a hat that's (probably?????) Charlie's (or at least a hat that closely resembles his)

Haven't seen anything on the right shelf that's notable, but I probably just need to look closer

smiling friends summer '24 really was an unforgettable experience. the amount of people coming together to create such awesome art/animations/fanfic was astounding. those 13+ weeks were some of the best ones i've ever had in my 15 or so years of being on the internet. i know that in the end, this all about some silly deranged late night adult swim cartoon, but it seriously made an impact on me and i can't be thankful enough for all the awesome people who created amazing art, both the people who worked on the show and the people in the fandom.

ahead of the trailer coming tomorrow, which will mark the start of smiling friends fall '25, i really hope this season can recapture the magical warm feeling i felt inside through summer 2024. i hope the show doesn't lose its momentum and can keep bringing people together with its beautiful chaos.
