While we're all talking about both the WGA/SAG strikes and Barbenheimer, I hope everyone realises that the entire reason this exists is because Christopher Nolan stood up to Warner Bros against pushing their entire cinematic slate onto streaming in 2021, by taking his next film to another studio.

Then, as an act of petty revenge, they decided to deliberately move their single biggest movie of 2023 (and arguably WB's biggest non-Batman/Harry Potter movie in DECADES) directly onto his release date.

So no, the Barbie Marketing isn't "so good it helped another movie". The Barbie Marketing Machine was specifically designed to get back at someone who dared to stand up against WB executives.

It was a calculated move of malice by soulless corporate fuckeroonies.

i can hardly believe that school is coming up. in like, two/one week. ISNT THAT ABSURD? i feel like summer just flew past but im very excited to start my junior year of highschool…💬🎀

BUYING DREAM SCHOOL SUPPLIES ;

when ur school supplies are cute, you'll feel MOTIVATED to put them to good use. idek what it is. 99% of my school supplies are pink and because of that im motivated to take good notes, study my notes etc because seeing the sparks of pink just make me so HAPPY.

so ofc this year my school supply list has remained consistent in its color scheme of pink, pink and more pink 🎀. some things on my school shopping list are ->

FIX UR SLEEP SCHEDULE ;

ik a lot of us (including myself some times) stay up for way to long and feel like our sleep schedule is BEYOND repair but it is not. u need to be getting back into a consistent sleeping routine that keeps u healthy and well rested not only for back to school but for ur own well being. you'll have plenty of time tomorrow for what u choose to stay up all night doing, i promise.

FOR MY ONLINE GIRLIES ;

so this year i'll be taking a semester online so i've been dabbling in figuring out the perfect routine for an online school regimen. one in which i could balance personal and academic life in a healthy way (get sunlight everyday, sleep on time etc) some things that im going to prioritize while doing a semester online are ->

♡ getting fresh air everyday

♡ going for a walk everyday and making sure to stay active

♡ NOT doing school work in bed

so a tip i've learned is that the things that u do in bed, your mind will like, associate ur bed with it. so for example if ur constantly playing video games in bed, when its time to relax and go to bed, when ur in bed your mind will be like "time to play video games". so i will not be doing school work in bed, also for a healthy change of scenery…💬🎀

♡ going out with my friends and calling them everyday so that im not isolated

♡ keeping a steady and productive routine

SETTING GOALS ;

lets be goal oriented, A+ academic barbies this year ✍🏽. to make sure that ur doing ur very best its important to set goals for urself. having something to strive for is a great way to stay motivated and disciplined during the year. my goal for my junior year is to keep my straight A streak and finish with my law distinction (im 3/4 of the way done). and ofc its important to break down ur goals, and i'll give an example of how i did this.

so in freshman year ik i wanted a distinction in law, and to get a distinction in law i would have to take 4 separate law courses. there are 4 years in highschool so if i took one law course per school year i'd have my distinction. but i wanted to expedite the process so i took one course freshman year, and two courses sophomore year. this year i will take one more.

this frees up SO much time for me to get another distinction and since i've already taken a course of business in freshman year, i'll strive for my business distinction too…💬🎀

if u dont know where to start with goal setting for school here are some ideas ->

♡ maintain ur current GPA or try and raise it

♡ never get below a B on any assignment or test

♡ do every single homework assignment (never take a zero)

STAYING ORGANIZED ;

staying organized is CRUCIAL for being successful in school. i use notion to keep myself organized during the school year. by putting down dates for tests in my calendar, ik when i need to start preparing. and by making a todo list everyday i can stay on top of my assignment.

if u struggle with school organization, set aside an hour a day to just make sure that everything is in its place. and it doesnt even have to be an hour, just set aside time every single day to make sure that everything it where its supposed to be. it'll save you SO much time in the future and you'll rly thank urself for it in the future.

Doll Mindset!! How To Achieve It 🎀

Stay Positive!! One of the biggest parts of becoming a doll, is a positive mindset. Some of our favorite dolls (EX: Barbie) always stay positive. If something goes wrong, try looking for the positive. It’s always best to look on the bright side, rather than the dark. To stay positive, try practice talking highly of yourself. Not only you, but others too. Try encouraging those around you!! Life becomes a lot more fun when you uplift others. Trust me!

Dream big!! One thing about dolls is that they know how to use their imagination. They always shoot for the stars when it comes to their goals and dreams. Also they all truly believe that if they work hard, they can achieve anything. And you should believe the same as well!! If you want to become a lawyer, work hard for it. If you want to become a nurse, work hard for it. All you need is, some imagination, ambition, hard work, and dedication. You can do it, if you put your mind to it! 

Don’t be afraid to be yourself!! The Bratz rarely care if someone disliked their fashion sense. They liked their fashion sense and that’s only what mattered. Not if some stranger gives them a weird look. So, be confident in who you are. If you like something someone else doesn’t, so what?!?! Everyone has their own preferences. We can’t all like the same thing. If we all did, what’s the fun in that?

Take care of yourself!! I will never stop mentioning that everyone should be taking care of themselves. Always, always, always invest in yourself. If you have the time to do a full on spa day for yourself, DO IT!! Because taking anytime to care for yourself, will always be worth it.

Always be up for a challenge!! The Winx Club fairies were never afraid of a challenge. Whatever came at them, they remained fearless and positive. So, when your studies get challenging remain positive. Never let the challenge bring you down!! Instead be ready for the challenge and use it to grow.

Motivate others!! Encourage & compliment others around you. Once I started complimenting people more often, my life changed. I felt more positive and I was able to make others smile. Now, it’s a daily practice in my life to motivate others!

In today's world, it seems that being a girly girl gets you side-eyed, dismissed, or even looked down upon. I’ve noticed that modernization has driven this new idea into our head’s that just because women now have the CHOICE to work, they are obligated to do so which is like.. idk there’s this weird expectation nowadays that if you don’t chase the career, take on heavy labor, and "prove" yourself in a man’s world, you’re incompetent, lazy, stupid, or too dependent. To me, without all the sugar coating of "women power", it seems like they're just asking us to be men..

What happened to staying home, having brunch with your girls, dressing up, looking cute, paying my parent’s to marry me lmaoo all jokes but seriously, just enjoying life’s pleasures without taking on traditionally masculine roles? Why has the desire to be cared for and pampered become such a bad thing? Pretty nails weren’t made to chip under pressure, and pretty feet weren’t made to trek through rough paths. Feminine energy thrives when it’s embraced – why must I pump even more testosterone into my body when it's naturally producing estrogen urg! I hope you get my flow, if not then whatever..

If we’re honest with ourselves, life flows smoother when we let nature take its true course. Feminine energy works best in harmony with masculine energy, and vice versa. It’s not about who’s better; it’s about understanding that each energy has its own role. Historically, men have been the alphas in relationships. They lead, take charge, and handle business – that’s their nature..

Here’s the thing, though: Yes, a woman can absolutely take on the alpha role and excel at it. We’ve seen it happen countless times. Women are more than capable of doing everything a man can do. But the question is – why would you want to do that lol? It’s like constantly stepping into a role that pulls you away from your true essence that leads to losing touch with your feminine energy, which is one of the most powerful tools you have as a woman in a man’s world.
