Been playing BG3 lately and Little Astarion & Papa bear Halsin has been on my MIND like a brain worm. I just had to get this out of my system

Fantasy Based Regressuary/Age Regression Writing Prompts

A list so I have something to refer to for my bg3 fics. Feel free to use :) let me know if you do use them though as i’d love to read/see what you do and support you!

⚔️A is scared of storms, and dashes to B’s tent when a storm rolls in over camp. ⚔️

⚔️B is busy organising the camp supplies. A wants attention.⚔️

⚔️A and B come across a trader selling some regression gear. B treats A to new gear.⚔️

⚔️A really, really needs to regress, but they can’t. B gives them a nudge in the right direction.⚔️

⚔️A gets hit with a spell that causes them to regress. The party dotes on them being soft and adorable. ⚔️

A encounters a camp pet/wild animal. They very much want to pet, and B is hesitant until they know they can trust the animal (bonus points for protective casting of Speak with Animals or equiv.)

A goes for a walk and gets lost, then ends up regressing. A panicked B finds them. (bonus points for a character with not so great intentions trying to pick up A and B stepping in?)

⚔️A gets stuck climbing up a tree/through a gap. As they panic they start to regress; B comes to save them.⚔️

A has battle wounds that haven’t properly healed, but they want to play. B tries everything they can to keep playtime calm and without too much movement.

A finds out B is also a regressor. The two get into mischief and distract the others at camp from their work.

B brings home some sweet treats to share in the camp. A overindulges and takes a few too many, and B has to reprimand them.

⚔️A has some nasty history, and when they break B’s favourite item, they’re terrified they’ll be punished like they used to. B shows them that discipline doesn’t have to be like that. ⚔️

⚔️A makes some art/music/creative thing for B. B nearly cries of happiness.⚔️

⚔️When B is having a rough day, suddenly it falls on a regressed A to take care of B instead. They do their best to cheer up B.⚔️

A is heavily regressed, and B thinks it’s only the two of them at camp, so deems it okay to venture out of the tent. As it turns out, C comes back to camp earlier than the others, and finds out about A’s regression.

B is having a hard time and is struggling to look after A. They look to C for support.

A and B have a heart to heart about A’s history of regression, and the things they’ve faced. B opens up in response.

A and B go for a nature walk to get away from camp.

⚔️A and C are fighting at camp. When B sees A start to get upset (or C start looking a bit too violent) they step in to defend them. Lots of fluff after.⚔️

⚔️A nearly loses B in battle. B has to do a lot of reassuring later that evening to convince A they’ll be okay, and that they aren’t going anywhere.⚔️

The party manages to get a few nights’ stay at an inn. A and B use the opportunity to cuddle up and get warm and cosy.

⚔️A and B meet C, a stranger, who seems to have A all figured out in seconds. Now they need to decide whether they should be worried. ⚔️

A has a day of pet regression. B is confused, but not upset, at the variation.

B wants a chance to regress, too. C steps in and takes care of both A and B.

⚔️A gets a little too tipsy after a camp celebration. B carefully extracts them from the party and gently sobers them up.⚔️

⚔️After a particularly rough battle, A has nightmares. It takes them a few nights to hunt down B to ask for help.⚔️

⚔️On their travels, A finds a book of children’s tales. They work up the courage to ask B to read to them. ⚔️

A asks B to do their hair for them. The two bond.

Regressuary 2025 Day 3

“Tav/Reader loves swiping clothes from their carer. What happens when Astarion catches them red-handed?”

This prompt takes place in the Act 3 alley camp, with some better (and more angsty) photos of it here! It’s such a hidden detail, but I thought using it would be a good idea!

The usual bustle of the Lower City is silent, the moon illuminating the night sky as you and your companions try to rest for the evening. You, however, are unable to find comfort in your tent. Feeling small from the day’s activities and missing your carer’s comfort, you tiptoe across the cobblestone from your spot in the alley to Astarion’s, ready to cause some mischief. 

Your party had mutually agreed to finally take care of their hygiene needs, which were left unattended during most of the adventure, including dirty laundry. Astarion’s older camp clothes (you had bought him new ones from Facemaker’s Boutique as soon as you reached Baldur’s Gate) were hanging on a clothesline above his tent, already dry from the afternoon sun.

You giggle as you neared the rope above, the vampire’s worn shirt hanging just out of reach. “Almos’ thereeeee…” You stand on your tiptoes and tug the shirt hem, causing the clothespins holding it in place to spring off in separate directions. Your beloved carer’s shirt is in your hands, and the soft cotton and lingering scent of bergamot are blissfully comforting.

As you turn around, you blindly bump into something, or rather, someone. “What do we have here, my love?” Astarion stands over you, a loving smirk on his face. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you’ve learned to be quite a rouge." 

You hug the shirt close to your chest and pout. “‘S mine.”

“Is that true? Well, surely this must be my shirt, then.” He gestures to a shirt on your clothesline, a sage green top with dark brown leather accents.

“No! ‘S mine too.” You try to run over to protect your shirt, but Astarion blocks your way.

“Well, then, whatever shall I wear in the morning?” Your carer chuckles and hugs you close, kissing your forehead. “Make up your mind, little one.”

see so many posts about cg astarion (and i like those too!!) but he’d be so baby :(( just needs to be swaddled and read to and comforted instead of doing the comforting. doesn’t have to put on a brave face, can finally just relax <3

For Astarion:

Flip to me! Definitely regresses as a result of trauma, but also enjoys taking care of people, or at least those he's close too

I can see him as a quieter little, tries to make himself as physically small as possible but very clingy!

Separation anxiety and scared of the dark

When in CG mode he's very patient, will take a game/joke and run with it

anything to make his little laugh!

For Gale:

He's very much a little to me, but I can see him as taking on a CG role, it's just not part of his coping

Very private about his regression, doesn't want to be a burden, or as he views, even more of a burden

Loves cuddling when small, with stuffed animals, with his CG, but definitely with Tara

Tara acts as his CG sometimes, she will make sure he is safe and happy

Has lot's of stuffed animals, when travelling with the party he tries to find one that is representative of all the party members (bear, bat, etc)

Regressuary 2025 Day 10

“Tav/Reader is refusing bedtime. Astarion knows it’s been far too long since they slept."

This ficlet is heavily inspired by happenings in our own system, LOL. Please hear Astarion saying “Yes” to Tav/Reader in the same tone as this clip from the Gen Con one-shot from last year XD Also, “8 STR” my ass, Astarion can and will lift Regressed Tav/Reader!

The stars had already crept across the sky, illuminating the navy blue sprawling above your camp. Most of your companions had already said their goodnights, leaving you and Astarion near the slowly dimming fire. You were preoccupied with a new book you had found on your travels, illustrated with various flora and fauna of the Realms. The campfire made shadows dance across the page, doubling as your eyes grew tired.

“I think it’s about time for bed, little one.” Your carer stretches as he stands up from the log, holding his hand out for you. “You need more sleep than I do and, frankly, haven’t been getting enough of it lately.”

However, Astarion can’t pry your attention away from the book. “Just a bit more…”

The pale elf huffs, kneeling to get to your level. “Darling, you do need to sleep.” You attempt to wave him off, but it has little effect. “It looks like I have no other choice then!” 

Before you can respond, Astarion bends at his knees and lifts you into a carry, causing you to squeal. “Nooooo~!”

“Why, yeeeeees~! Adventurers need their sleep, little love.” His grip is firm as you squirm, peppering kisses across your face and tummy. “And silly little adventurers need sweet dreams.” He trots over to your tent, gently placing you on your bedroll and tucking you in with your favorite plushie. You attempt to reach for the book in his hands, but he holds it out of your reach. “Ah, ah, ah! You can read more tomorrow, darling.”

“B-but…” You pout and widen your eyes, attempting to win him over.

“No ‘buts’! Now, sleep well.” He kisses your cheeks, then your forehead. “If you need anything in the night, don’t be afraid to find me.”

You sigh but ease into the comfort of your sleeping space. “G’night, ‘Stars.”

“Good night, my sweet.”
