I hear you stirring on the baby monitor, fighting sleep. Next thing I know, your sweet little head pokes in the doorway, your arrival preceded by the patter of tiny feet. Your hair is wild, paci hanging from its clip on your sleep shirt, treasured stuffed toy in tow. Papa?

Just to finish this sentence... What's that, baby? You tug on my sleeve with a whine, and I look away from my glowing blue iMac. I push my reading glasses up into my ruffled hair, tousling your head. My room is dark but for its light, and I've been up working on my college classes ever since I put you to bed. Rain raps at the window. The Eagles play softly on the CD player up above, more to keep me awake than anything else. I notice the time with a start - much too late for papas or little ones. It's late, honey, whatcha doing up?

Papa... your lower lip juts out, and I can't help but scoop you up in my arms as tears roll down your cheeks, rubbing your back as I do so. Miss you!

I soften, wiping your tears with my thumb. Of course, how could I have been so careless? Oh darling, papa's finals week has been so hard for you, huh? You nod in confirmation, rubbing your stuffed lovie on your cheek for comfort, fiddling with my fingers. I offer you your forgotten pacifier, and you take it, blinking plaintively at me, eyes glassy from a lack of sleep. Is the thunder scary? You wanted daddy?

Yeah.. you sniff, throw your arms around me, face immediately buried in my shirt. I won't let you go again.

Well, let's fix that sweetheart. My lovebug is much more important, the work can wait, and you need your papa. I power off my monitor. Fancy pickin' out a show for us? Hmm little bat? I tickle your hiding cheek, and you nod hesitantly, so I lift you up to the shelf with the VHS tapes. You snatch the Goodnight Show, a little smile peeking out from behind your pacifier. There's my sweet sugar.

Good choice little dude! I load the tape into the VCR and we settle into bed, me and you and your lovey. You cuddle against my chest, and I rub your head as your eyes slip open and shut, relaxing already. You'll be sleeping with me until finals are over, you can be sure of that, and you'll never have to be afraid of the thunder again.

The embers of his flames cast flickering shadows along the walls, restless and alive. “There is no need to fear,” he rumbles, shifting so his warmth surrounds you. A low hum escapes him—ancient, steady, a melody lost to time. It resonates in his chest, reverberating gently off the walls as he murmurs words you do not recognize yet find strangely soothing. Wrapped in the arms of destruction itself, you drift into sleep, safe and warm.

Yet, when he adjusts your clothes with massive, careful fingers, his touch is as light as a whisper. “There,” he grunts, satisfied. You beam up at him. The Great Destroyer scoffs, though his fire burns a shade warmer before a large hand ruffles your hair.

⚡︎ A warrior’s den should be adorned with the spoils of war, but his is strewn with plushies, rattles, and soft blankets. The first time one of his generals entered and saw you nestled in a pile of stuffed animals, they braced for his fury. Instead, he merely ignored their presence, picked up a large, fluffy tiger plush, and placed it beside you, a ghost of a smile tugging at his wicked grin. “Hah! Now he will guard you when I’m busy turning up the heat!” That tiger plush quickly became your favorite.

⚡︎ His people tremble when he storms through the halls, fire licking at his heels. Yet, when he sees you standing there, arms outstretched, the flames quell. He grumbles but lifts you effortlessly, holding you close. “You are bold to make such demands of me, little one.” And yet, he carries you in his arms for the rest of the day, that single remark the only complaint he utters.

⚡︎ A passing Cookie sneers at your childish garb—the sippy cup, the pacifier. “Pathetic.” Before they can blink, Burning Spice Cookie looms over them, flames curling up his arms. “Say that again,” he growls, voice low and dangerous. The Cookie flees. Later, he kneels beside you, placing your fallen flame-shaped pacifier back in your hands. He seems more upset than you, but his tension eases when you lean your head against his side.

⚡︎ Tantrums mean nothing to him. You kick, wail, pound tiny fists against his chest—he does not budge. “Haha! Is that all you’ve got?” he teases, amused. But when you sniffle, rubbing at your tear-streaked face, he sighs. Lifting you onto his shoulders, he rumbles, “Come. We will find something for you to truly destroy.” He does not say he means himself, but his excitement at teaching you destruction is unmistakable.

⚡︎ His body radiates an ever-present heat. On cold nights, you burrow against him, seeking warmth. “Clingy thing…” he huffs, yet he shifts closer, his massive frame blocking out the chill and surrounding you in gentle heat. In the morning, you wake to find your favorite tiger plush nestled beside you, a red fluffy blanket draped over you. He does not mention it, and neither do you, simply holding the plush close.

⚡︎ Before battle, he marks his body with crimson streaks, sigils of war and violence. Yet, as he grips his parashu, ready to leave, he abruptly pauses. Your small hands reach for him, and he kneels, allowing you to press a sticker—a simple tiger, much like your plush—onto his spiked shoulder armor. “He wants to watch over you!” you say excitedly. He snorts. “Then he and I shall have many tales of destruction to share when I return.” He does not remove it. When he comes back, the sticker remains, untouched by battle.

⚡︎ He has burned civilizations, crushed empires beneath his heel. Yet here he kneels, letting your tiny hands press against his cheeks. “Be gentle,” you murmur, worried about the rage in his eyes. He closes them, exhales slowly, faint wisps of smoke curling from his nostrils like a sleeping dragon. “For you,” he rumbles, “I will try.”

Reminder that your agere hcs aren't wrong or invalid bc they don't align with others!! If you think a character is a regressor but all you see is others talking about how they're sooo cg coded (or vice-versa, etc.) it doesn't matter, they can be whatever you want them to be for whatever reasons!!

And also if you're mean to others about their agere hcs then I hope you spill your favorite snacks in the dirt and your stickers always fall off of what you stick them to.

what an itty bitty fellow amiright X33 there's not much rg jayce content out there which is a shame cus he's a cutiepie !!

[🐾] ʚɞ regresses to around 4ish, but can go a bit lower if he really really needs to. regresses due to stress of being a councillor whilst juggling responsibilities of hextech

[🐾] ʚɞ cgs are mel & viktor ; he doesn't have a preference for either persay, but he is naturally closer to viktor so he instinctively goes off to find him first when he drops. typically their titles are just mel & vik, but if he's extra teeny or his day was extra mean to him, mel is mama & viktor is baba. hates bein bad, especially on accident (vi can bring out the mischief in him, tho). praise this little guy. it brightens his day soso much, even if it's just for the little things like picking up his toys when he's all done with them. he gets super-duper smiley n he gets wiggly like a little puppy (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) .ᐟ.ᐟ

[🐾] ʚɞ when he gets grumpy or fussy he tries to never ever ever take it out on his stuffies or his cgs. they have feelings, too, & it would be super mean if he hurt them cus he's upset !! D: but sometimes it happens, & even tho viktor reassures him that they could never be mad at him for expressing his emotions while mel kisses all of his stuffies' "boo-boos" better, jayce finds it difficult to rid the guilt

[🐾] ʚɞ dropping his stuffies on accident warrants bandaids for them ; for a while they got real bandaids, but after realizing how quickly they were running through them, mel encouraged jayce to make “magic bandaids; they're extra special because you get to make them!”. magic bandaids are just decorated pieces of scrap paper & tape, but they're fun cus jayce gets to play doctor & he gets to choose the fun design !! (magic bandaids aren't just for stuffies btw ; all of his friends have gotten their fair share ;3)

[🐾] ʚɞ stompy feet, but not always cus he's grumpy. for jayce, stompy feet & shirt tugging are one in the same—demanding attention. he does get a little grumpy when his demand for attention is denied for any reason, however ; that's when grumpy stompy feet occur

[🐾] ʚɞ clingy little boy. always has his fingers wrapped around the edge of viktor's sleeve as they read or leaning against mel as he "helps" with dinner (his helping consists of peering over her shoulder with curious eyes & occasionally taste-testing)

[🐾] ʚɞ LOVES DRAWING. SO MUCH. is absolutely spoiled with crayons, colored pencils, markers, paper ... you name it, he's already got it. his favorite thing to draw is candid portraits of mel & viktor ; their fridge is indeed covered in jayce's drawings. their walls do need to be washed constantly, tho, cus sometimes jayce gets too lost in his own little world & doodles on the walls. oops (⑅◞‸◟)

[🐾] ʚɞ rather easy to tell when he's upset cus he gets quiet, unenthused, & teary-eyed. on days like these, where his head isn't being very kind to him, mel & viktor will set up a movie day where jayce gets to snuggle with them, his favorite stuffie, his blankie, & allll his favorite snacks ♡

𖦹 bakugo is definitely the type of regressor to only have one (or very few) stuffie(s) because 1. it’s stressful as a little to keep track of each stuffie and 2. he takes it everywhere to the point it’s dirty and gross 😭

𖦹 but anyway the one stuffie he takes everywhere, making sure it has enough fun as he does when playing is DEFINITELY a wolf stuffie that kirishima got him

𖦹 kirishima had no clue what he was doing when he first became bakugo’s caregiver, which was anxiety inducing for the both of them— but he got the hang of it after accidentally making bakugo cry .due to excessive research all nighters bc he felt so. bad.

🫀 He adores pet names! Darling, love, little lamb, little one, anything to encourage his tiny love further into babyspace. He feels incredibly honoured if you give him a nickname, and eventually he will only answer you if you address him as such.

🐑 He is firm but fair. He expects you to follow the rules he sets; they are there for your protection after all, and he will not tolerate rudeness or disrespect. As long as you are polite, and rarely test his patience, you will be dear to his heart forever.

🫀 Hannibal is very protective of his darling. You will never stray too far, he’ll make sure of that. He’s always there to guide you and protect you, even if you don’t fully know what he’s capable of. God forbid someone is rude or unkind to his little lamb, he will stop at nothing to protect you (…and conveniently serves your favourite food for dinner that night).

🐑 He finds the most comfort in the little things. Hannibal can be very hands-on when he cares to be. Whether it’s cutting your food into bite-sized pieces or doing up the buttons on your jacket; he will always offer a helping hand. He may even engineer situations for you where you have no choice but to run to him for help, and he’ll do so gladly.

🫀 Both yours and Hannibal’s favourite activity together is cooking. He sits you down on the counter or stool while he cooks, answering all of your curious questions with a pleased smile. Occasionally, he lets you be his little assistant, teaching you all about different foods and cultures, allowing you to help him with small tasks. You’re his little taste tester, trying all manner of soups and sauces that he spoon feeds you. He wants everything to be perfect for you, of course.

🐑 He wants to know every single detail there is to know about you. Your favourite foods, so he can surprise you with them. Your favourite toys, so he can spoil you rotten. jayce accidentally regressing when they’re at the lab, which would normally be fine, viktor’s a flip, he can just watch over jayce til he tires himself out or gets big again, but jayce is having so much fun, an vik wants to have fun too, an all of a sudden there are two little boys in the lab instead of one

nobody comes to check on them til there’s a big noise from the lab n heimerdinger comes to investigate, openin the door to see jay n vik with powder all over their faces cept over their eyes, n when he asks what happened vik tells him “jay wanted to see what would happen if we mixed a bunch of stuff together and that sounded very fun, but!! i told him we had to wear goggles ‘cause lab safety’s very important” and he looks so pleased that he remembered this detail and jay’s still bouncing on his toes from the excitement of the explosion goin “yeah, yeah! an’ it made a big boom, it was so cool!” n heimerdinger doesn’t have the heart to chastise them n instead just tells them they gotta go home

Baby regressor ! Jinx x cg ! Caitlyn headcanons 💭

jinx and caitlyn got off to a rough start, and for a long while jinx didn't trust her regression around caitlyn

jinx much preferred to be taken care of by vi, but her sister gently ( but persistently ) encouraged her to take comfort from caitlyn as well

the first time jinx fully regressed around caitlyn without the presence of vi, she was very shy and quiet, but caitlyn softly coaxed her out of her shell by playing stuffies with her and coloring

as jinx got more comfortable around caitlyn, caitlyn noticed that jinx tended to regress younger and younger around her- but when she was with vi she tended to stay in the toddler-kid range

the first time jinx called caitlyn ' mama ' she ended up crying, but she quickly reassured jinx that they were happy tears

jinx became very quickly attached to caitlyn when she regressed, often asking for her when vi had to take care of her alone

caitlyn loves having baby time with jinx- cradling her in her arms, bottle feeding her, tummy time, you name it and caitlyn adored it all

jinx calls caitlyn ' mama ' and ' mommy ' , and caitlyn calls jinx ' baby ' , ' sweetheart ' , ' doll ' , + many more sweet petnames

note : I have a huge soft spot for any jinx and caitlyn dynamic, esp cg ! caitlyn and regressor ! jinx T_T they are so dear 2 me.. I also really like the other hc idea you had, so I might make a separate post for that as well !

as I made this I came up with a few little hcs!! I’ve never really posted hcs before se we’ll see how this goes,,, and this is esp. for movie shadow since he’s a little different than mainline shadow <3

regressor shadow and cg stone headcannons below cut

(plot-based hcs) - shadow started slipping a few hours after he escaped from prison island. at that point he was alone and didn’t have anyone, so he just hid and waited it out. he didn’t know what was happening, all he knew was that he was very scared and felt very small, and generally it was very impure first experience with it. - after he meets with the professor, he immediately feels smaller, but not as much as he did before. mostly to when he was little and naive, to a time before the attack. he masked the majority of his regression around gerald, scared of making a bad impression and looking weak. - when robotnik and gerald reunite, shadow feels very much like the professor’s pushed him aside for some human he’s never even met. he was left alone with stone - initially, when shadow started regressing he didn’t even understand why he did it around agent stone. but after stone picked up on him acting very little and quiet, he decided to help him out and became his cg. (random hcs) - shadow is very clingy out of trauma, and needs to keep his cg in his sights or else he will spiral and cry. - stone knits/crochets and you cannot change my mind. he makes little things for shadow in his spare time. shadow has a little crochet doll of maria that stone made for him after a ptsd episode. it makes him feel better, and stone loves seeing the little hedgehog’s eye’s light up whenever he gets a gift (something that rarely ever happened to him in the past). - shadow is almost entirely nonverbal, especially the younger he goes. while shadow doesn’t have a pinpointed age for his regression, stone is able to tell roughly how little he feels based off how much noise the little guy emits. the more silent, the more babey. - stone lets shadow help with cooking. while shadow might take a little long to do things (it needs to be perfect) and is rather clumsy when regressed, stone doesn’t mind and is just happy someone can appreciate the effort and time it takes to make a good meal. - stone lets shadow wear some of his old clothes, even if his quills poke a few holes and he needs to put holes in the back of the shirts for his back spines. little shadow likes being covered up and cozy, as it makes him feel safe and hidden away. - in addition, stone builds him blanket forts when they get a chance. it always makes shadow feel safe and loved, reminding him of when he was with maria. they watch kids shows and movies, and usually stone can trust the hedgehog keep himself entertained as long as stone stays within 15 feet of the fort. - on days when stone doesn’t have the time or ability to make a fort, he just throws 5-7 blankets on top of shadow and the baby is happy (he likes the weight, it’s cozy and he feels like he’s burrowing). - in his normal headspace, shadow refuses to speak of his regression. not even the cia could get him to confess. he doesn’t even tell stone when he’s slipping, and usually suppresses it until stone figures out what’s wrong and coaxes him into regression for his own good.

this moodboard took me ,, SO stupid long to make & then when i went to save it the FILE CORRUPTED ヽ（≧□≦）ノ luckily all i had to do was go back & save it again but i seriously thought i was gna have to do the entire thing over X-/ regardless i luv how it turned out hehe !!

[💥] ✶ age ranges from super super ityy bitty (infant ages – a year or so) to curious big kid (5 – 8) ; however, she's only ever really little if it's just her & caitlyn as she's the one she feels safest with. if there's another regressor around—like jayce, jinx, or caitlyn if she needs to indulge in her headspace—vi finds herself adopting the big sibby role! she's a big sister at her core & she still adores looking after others, but sometimes she just . . . needs to be looked after, too

[💥] ✶ babysitter jinx who encourages vi's energy to the highest degree & puts mischievous ideas in her mind (nothing dangerous, of course !! silly little pranks n stuff hehe) but is the absolute sweetest when vi is teeny tiny. in the event vi is regressed super super little when jinx is also small, she becomes The Most protective over her baby sister ever

[💥] ✶ playdates w her & jayce always end in two sweaty little ones without fail bc they turn everything into a challenge (“betcha i can climb this tree faster than you!” — “nuh-uh!! i can!!!”) & will run themselves down to the bone by playing elaborate games of pretend

[💥] ✶ weepy lil thing :(( holding in her big feelings for so long when she's big results in lotsa tears when she's small, even if it's over things that aren't a big deal (like snapping a crayon or a stuffie bein put into the wash). usually snuggles from mama cait makes everything alll better tho !!

[💥] ✶ clifford the big red dog & spiderman r some of her favorite favorite things ever !! the very moment she hears the opening theme for clifford, there is nothing more important than gettin in front of the tv (it's one of those tv shows that make her RUSH off the potty the moment the commercial break is over). the only type of bandaids she will accept after pretending to be a silly web-slinging hero are spiderman ones, so cait keeps a ton on deck!

[💥] ✶ also feel like she'd enjoy coyote peterson / brave wilderness too ?? when she's xtra little she watches the general exploration videos, steering clear of the biting / stinging / overall more violent ones cus it upsets her . . . but when she's bigger, oooo she gets soso hype when there's a new bug coyote finds or a snapping turtle he goes head to head with !! lotsa “woaaahh mama did’ja see that??? did’ja, did’ja???? itsa exe– execush’ner wasp ‘nd it– it stinged him!!! lookit, mama, lookit!!!!” & excited bouncing. cait is a big catalyst to this (even tho she does not like bugs) & will egg her on which just gets her more excited !! ＼(≧▽≦)／

[💥] ✶ active but extremely messy kiddo. she jumps in muddy puddles without a care of how soaked her socks will get later ; she makes potions out of grass, sticks, and rocks & shows them to caitlyn with grass stains on her pants ; she climbs trees to sneak up on birds & comes back down with leaf bits all in her hair . . . many, many baths are in her schedule. when she's a bit too little to do all of this, she'll sit near cait with all of her toys scattered around her, constantly bouncing from one to the other to keep her brain stimulated

[💥] ✶ bath time involves either lots of splish-splashin with her sharkie bath toys or dozin in the water till her fingers get all wrinkly. vi has a big appreciation for baths after her time in stillwater as it felt impossible to ever feel fully clean, so after big adventures in the backyard that end with mud splatters on her cheeks and dirt smeared on the palms of her hands, she & cait take extra care in makin sure all the nasties are all gone (*´˘`*)♡

[💥] ✶ loves those temporary tattoo kits ; to her, those are stickers she can stick on anyone that comes near >:-] caitlyn & jinx are her main subjects ; by the end of the day they will all have matching tattoos

[💥] ✶ very very clingy, especially after the war & officially losing most of everyone she has ever loved. while she gets more pouty & huffy when she's older, when she's itty bitty she gets sooo weepy cus her object permanence is just gone. there's a part of vi that's ashamed of how dependant she is on cait—after all, she's very used to taking care of others & taking care of herself, so such a drastic change in lifestyle can be jarring—but with cait, she can work through it ♡
