What I'm actually saying when I defend people with stigmatised disorders: “Please don’t spread harmful stereotypes, not everyone is like that, it’s really hurtful to people who struggle with it.”

What people seem to think I'm saying: “Abusive behaviour is absolutely okay if someone’s mentally ill, it’s discrimination not to ignore red flags, please walk up to the nearest person on the street screaming at nothing and offer them your couch to sleep on.”

It’s not ableist, ppl with these patterns thrive in our society and are quite overrepresented in powerful jobs and are quite successful (in this sense)! I’d go as far as to argue that our current society was built by them and for them to excel in, giving them an unfair advantage over others who carry more “light triad” qualities and aren't along the spectrum. Even if u look at the workweek, most ppl don’t function like that (they're wired differently)...I do recognize that these disorders are stigmatized, however, I do think that’s for good reason and those who have these diagnoses should be approached with caution. ASPD is a diagnosis that is more of a danger to others more than anything else if u read the criteria

guys i hate when i see aspd or npd posts , check the reblogs and alll their talking about is "remember aspd / npd doesn't make it okay to be a awful person" WE KNOWWW . we all know , the only relation that has with the post is that it's about npd or aspd . what's the point of mentioning it ? obviously these people are already educated on them so there's legit no point in mentioning it , , if you see just a regular post about npd or aspd and your first thought is to point out how it's not a excuse to be mean ? that's weird . the post has nothing to do with that , if you feel the need to say this on EVERY post mentioning npd and aspd then that's just annoying man .

Someone on here said “I have conduct disorder (future ASPD)” it’s upsetting to know these people have clearly not done any research into their own apparent conditions. Conduct disorder is not “future ASPD” but it CAN develop into ASPD. You can have conduct disorder as a child/teen and when you’re an adult you may not actually meet the criteria for ASPD.

You need a diagnosis of conduct disorder as a child to be diagnosed with ASPD, but just because you have conduct disorder doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll grow up to have ASPD.

I really like the idea of Jazz who is actually really inexperienced in areas that you wouldn't expect. He does get stressed and he does freak out but he extricates himself from a sticky situation so smoothly that you don't realize.

I want more of Jazz being confronted by things that actually frighten and unsettle him... I really like when a chill character that everyone can rely on breaks a little!

It's even better if it's something that most people are cool with or know a lot about, because then he definitely doesn't want to let on that he's lost and nervous.

If it was something crazy he could laugh and be like "Even I can't do that!" But if it's something he sees as simple, something he should be able to fake no problem even if he's never dealt with it before, he'd be singing a different tune. One more along the notes of "Frag, why can't I do this???"
