This is my (Pre-Character Development) Sabrina Raincomprix design!✨

In my AU— early Sabrina dresses in such a way to try to meet Chloe’s standards. (After all, she is the daughter of a famous fashion critic). It’s canon that Chloe had attended gymnastics classes at some point (Frightningale) so in my AU, Sabrina signed up for gymnastics to be with Chloe.

Sabrina & Chloe have a codependent relationship where they rely on each other’s validation for a sense of self-worth.

Chloe looks to please her mother, and imitates her in the hopes of gaining her favor— though since she’s absent most of the time, she likes getting attention from Sabrina to feel like someone worth spending time with.

Sabrina looks to please Chloe, and acts as her doormat to feel useful to others. Acts of service make her feel like she has a purpose. This kinda reflects Chloe’s relationship with her Queen Bee identity— and would help with deepening the friendship between the two girls through understanding.

They struggle to change because they hide vulnerable parts of themselves due to fear of rejection from people they care about. (I wanted to show this in her design with Sabrina using makeup to hide her freckles.) and it’s mainly when they find other people and influences in their lives that’s the catalyst for change.

Their characters arcs would involve learning to be independent from each other, learning to show vulnerability, becoming better people (Sabrina learning to be assertive/Chloe learning to be humble) and eventually forming a mutual friendship- where they don’t NEED each other, but choose to be together anyway.

After Rook comes back from the fade, I need him and Viago to have a single moment together in which their walls are completely down.

They're too goddamn tired to snark and bicker; too relieved to imply anything other than, "I thought I'd never see you again." I need them to hug. I need Viago's fingers to dig into his fledgeling's shoulder and ribs so tightly that one might think he's trying to crush Rook's body into his own. Meanwhile, I need Rook to cling onto his brother's Talon's body with his face hidden in Viago's shoulder as if he's still the broken and bloody child Viago found all those years ago.

I hate, hate golden trio bashing fics. They have such a ride-and-die friendship like bro they raided a bank together then fled on a dragon they stuck together through so much — while having fights like normal friends do, but the best thing about them? They get back together. No matter what. Thus, coming out of a literal war in one piece, together; if that doesn't tell you how much they love each other then I don't know what to tell you.

I feel like a lot of people point more towards Leo saying that he's useless without his brothers more than they point towards him saying he's useless in the maze of champions episode and I think the reason for that is that he becomes more skilled in that field as the show goes on and it's hard to pull angst out of it when that's the case, but I really do think that puts more of a spotlight on his complex regarding the idea of "uselessness" than him saying he's useless without his brothers.

This is because I think him saying he's useless without his brothers is more indicative of a level of emotional dependency. We can assume that they grew up largely away from society, sticking together in isolation. This often (... basically always) has a profound impact on a child's psychological development. We already know Raph can't function outside the group. At least not when it's unexpected.

I think this applies to most of them, even if it manifests in different ways.

I actually find it interesting, the idea that Donnie doesn't talk about his "emotionally unavailable bad boy image" exclusively as some kind of fantasy, but somewhat taking from an understanding (that they all probably have) that his identity isn't so reliant on the others' existences as the others' identities are.

Everyone else's role is related to the fact that they exist as a group. Raph is the oldest, the protector. Leo is the faceman, he speaks for the group, almost like a lawyer. And Mikey is the younger brother, as well as the hypeman. These are all central to their identities and are also inherently dynamical. Their senses of self are in relation to their existence as a collective. But Donnie's understanding of himself is pretty self contained. He's the science guy. He wouldn't handle the loss of his brothers any better than any of his brothers would, but it wouldn't shatter his sense of self. He would still know who he is without them.

To perhaps provide a visual of this dynamic in action-

There's angst in all directions there tbh. Raph and Leo's are kind of self explanatory and straight up have been explored in canon. But I think that Mikey thinks he's less reliant on this dynamic than he is, and Donnie isn't as reliant on the others but he probably feels disconnected from his brothers. That could be interesting psychologically, in contrast with the others' bonds forming because there's no one else to bond with, him going the other direction and becoming self reliant.

Although it is implied that he's the closest with April which may have lead him to being slightly, technically healthier about his sense of self. Though I do think that seeing the bond his brothers have that he doesn't experience with them does probably still cause some feelings of isolation regardless. I don't think his brothers are thrilled with this going the other way around either tbh

i don't care if cartman is the most evil person in the world, and "realistically" the boys would cut him off at some point — who knows each other better than them? who else has faced every possible shit together since kindergarten? and they can't even stand each other a lot times, they will fight one day, but the next they will meet calmly at the bus stop. far from healthy, but honestly all them need each other, in different ways, but equally sentimentally, even if they pretend otherwise.

like, you can't separate the main four. they have this line tied to their finger and there is no way to cut it. they'll be friends until they all die. at this point it's just stronger than them.

i think that hextech as the absolutely ill-advised brainchild of two very different types of transmen makes the most sense in the world, actually
