So my sister found book reports I wrote in middle/high school and it brought up a number of things I hate about Twilight (yet I did enjoy the books to an extent). Shes not happy and I'm reminded why I so not engage with Team Edward Twihards.
Rant incoming - also, this is about the BOOKS, not the movies
Middle school me knew there was something wrong with Bella and Edward's relationship. The "eternal seventeen" view my friends had (and still have) didn't hold water to me because I was the same middle schooler reading a whole bunch of books about vampires, werewolves, fae, and mythology. In my report on the first book, I said that there's no such thing as an immature immortal character - they'd be dead if they were truly immature.
Because seriously, Bella is a teenager with no real world experience compared to Edward. I said "think of it like a thirteen year old girl dating a eighteen year old boy." Back then, I pretty much wrote about grooming without fully understanding it in depth (I got sent to the counselor and ended up learning more). Edward himself acknowledges the power imbalance of their relationship, he does incredibly disgusting things that are NOT romantic, and reading Midnight Sun years later only validated my old views.
Jacob is also a teenager with no experience. Setting him up as some type of romantic rival to Edward doesn't acknowledge the MAJOR issue of JACOB BEING AN ACTUAL TEENAGE CHILD! A lot of my very rantish book report on that aspect was detailing how Jacob is just as much a victim of the story as Bella if not worse. He's written as a sweet and caring boy trying to do right by his family and friends, gets abruptly turned into an incel because Meyer realized she made Jacob too perfect for Bella, and then enslaved for the rest of his life AT RHE AGE OF SIXTEEN. He did not deserve any of what happened and it happens because Meyer made him, a CHILD, Edward's rival.
Because, YES, Jacob IS the superior match for Bella. Not simply because she canonically calls him her sun, but because HE'S AN AGE APPROPRIATE MATCH. Nevermind that, canonically, Bella acknowledges that she IS in love with Jacob and if, not for Edward the manipulator being her drug of choice, they WOULD be together.
She has a whole "what if I married Jacob" sequence where she had a happy and healthy relationship and LIVED, no amount of gaslighting could change my opinion when I wrote "this is like that old movie that glorified domestic abuse - Edward is constantly slapping Bella and he is her true cause of her death, but 'love in adversity' is the lesson we're meant to take from it."
There's also a paper I wrote using Twilight to discuss racism and PDF-philia in literature for my AP Lit class. And it holds up! Meyer legit had Quil imprint on a TWO YEAR OLD, Jacob on an infant (with the kind of an adult which adds another layer of horror and abuse to Jacob's treatment), made the shifters all angry hotheads who harm the people around them, has them referred to as dogs and mutts by the very White elitist Cullens, and gives all of them awful endings. She legit made it canonical that the shifters have to cut their hair, something that even a cursory amount of research would tell you that is a cultural no-no.
Meyers, and the fandom, give Edward so much grace for his predatory, entitled, and petty behavior and simultaneously drag Jacob for his very justifiable hatred of the Cullens and desperation to get Bella away from them. The Cullens legit repeat history by invading native land and despite KNOWING that their proximity is causing them to shift and result in deaths, THEY DONT CARE (they did it TWICE, by the way). They don't care about Bella either, they constantly put her in danger and treat her like an object, why WOULDN'T Jacob try to get her away from them?
And Bella defending the Cullens, but not ONCE defending Jacob or the wolves from the Cullens and the disgusting things they said THAT WEREN'T TRUE.
And the two page rant I wrote about Jacob imprinting on Renasty (that is legit what I kept calling her) holds up so much that my sister is re-reading the series right now. Jacob is legitimately terrified of imprinting and having what little control he has left taken from him. And when it happens, it is legit HORRIFYING. He's untethered from everything that made him an individual, his life becomes all about Renasty
I don't hate Twilight, mainly because it was part of my formative years. But I DO kinda hate Meyers for the shit she wrote and I hate a chunk of the fandom who share her mindset. My sister might join those ranks lmao.

Heeey! Idk if someone has already asked you this but, if you could recommend three Stony fanfics which ones would you recommend? And What made you ship them? :] Also love ur writing!
IT'S MY NEW STONY MUTUAL YIPPIE ✨ HI FRIEND. Sorry for the late reply, been busy in my own way. I'm so happy to hear from you! 😸
that is a tough question...
Principles of the Thing by Annie D (scaramouche)
In Tony’s opinion, the only thing worse than having a crush on Steve is: having a crush on Steve while Steve won’t shut up about how great Tony is.
Mainly recommending this because the author's Stony fics are all amazing. They're a fantastic writer and I'm sure there's something there for everyone; I'm still making my way through them and I'm never disappointed! This fic in particular is very sweet and adorable, plus it has my favourite Stony fanfiction device—it's told from a self-deprecating Tony's perspective <3 that's how you know it's gonna be a good one 😌 I need my man to hate himself a little thankyouverymuch. I also think it's cute to have Steve be virtuous in a very sweet gentleman way, instead of the hurting-Tony way (although I like that way a lot too)
Loverboys by theappleppielifestyle
“Here’s the deal,” Tony says. “I’ll give you ten thousand dollars to pretend to date me.”
Steve stares at him, but only for a second.
“No thanks,” he says, and looks back down at his algebra worksheet.
(Or, a High School Fake Dating AU.)
I have a soft spot for high school and college AUs okay, sue me! Why I particularly like it for Stony, and what this fic does beautifully, is it uses their class disparity as a point of contention for their characters and relationship. I like young!Tony fics because we see the trauma of his family life and circumstances affecting him in real time. I love to hate Howard Stark <3 plus Stony is all about the tension of their opposing personalities, and AUs like this help highlight Tony's distant family and extreme wealth, and Steve's poverty and loving support system. This fic is also fake dating, which means ✨tension✨. Plus Tiberius Stone is a total guilty pleasure character of mine. Tony has many evil ex's in the comics, and I love to see them used for some good whump. And jealous protective Steve is absolute gold!!! Even if you don't like high school AUs this one is worth a shot because it wasn't written by a high schooler like many are, so it's mature and paced very well.
the girl with the modern face by isozyme
“Nice to meet you. I’m Steve Rogers,” Steve said, sticking his hand out and trying to wrestle the interaction back into something normal.
“I know, sweetheart,” Tony said, ignoring his hand. “Rescue told me all about you.”
“Did you make her?” Steve asked. It had been implied that Tony was a tech-man, and she said he was her boss. It would fit together.
“Yes, the armor, that was me; she’s my bodyguard,” Tony said archly. “Impressed?”
The only good thing about the future is Tony Stark's bodyguard, Rescue. She's beautiful in her red and gold armor, and Steve will never know who she is.
This story changed my brain chemistry when I read it. It's just such a fantastic culmination of so many delicate and beautiful things. Internalized homophobia and identity porn are severely underrated tropes and two of my all time favourites. I find it's hard to get them right, but boy does this story get them right. Also—genderfucked Tony Stark? Yes Yes and Yes. Steve falls for a woman, who is actually a man, who is actually Tony Stark. This hurts both of their feelings immensely. I love the tight-wound Captain and seeing him come to terms with his struggles and bigotry. And the juxtaposition to a flamboyant and open Tony, yessirrrr. Also, comic Stony fics are on a whole other level. They have so much more material to work from, so their characterization and background is really well fleshed out. You don't need to read the comics to understand it, don't worry.
—
I just love talking about this stuff, I will never be short or chill about asks 😅
What made me ship Steve and Tony? Oh GAWSH. Mainly, their opposing natures. Nothing is more compelling than seeing people so close yet so different have this intense magnetism. It's like a puzzle piece, they fit so well because they complete something in each other.
Rivals/enemies creates a lot of tension, especially when they have such a respect and trust for one another even if they don't always like it, it's undeniable. The betrayal and disagreement between them is painful because only those inside your heart can wreck it so intensely. I really like angst, whump, miscommunication, the push and pull. It's so them. They aren't rivals TO friends, they are rivals AND friends. Tony is incredibly Much, Steve is rigid. Tony is controlled by his emotions, Steve is controlled by his morals. Tony is an over-thinker, Steve is all intuition.
Also, have you SEEN the way they look at eachother?!?!? The gazing omfggg. The way they lead together, have such an intense relationship, perfectly in-sync even in disagreement. Their movies? Never without insanely strong feelings for each other, arm touches and long looks, trust broken and rebuilt. TV shows? Eye rolling yet great respect, a deep admiration that will always trump any mistake or disagreement. Bickering boyfriends. Comics? They're so intense everyone just KNOWS something freaky is going on. Divorced /pos. It's always hate or love, these two can never be neutral. Their relationship is incredibly dynamic—they're so soft for each other! They hate each other's guts! They are gonna fuck about it! All three at the same time.
ty for the compliment 🫶 yes this is yap city but I am a very passionate person mk. I could talk about them for hours 💕💔

Why I think Spider noir is on the younger side(18-20) in the new spiderverse movie per my previous post:
Let’s break it down by Context, Timeline, Mood, and ATSV
Context:
Spider noir has two comic runs that happen before COMICS spiderverse. With that said, there were like inter dimensional energy vampires and that’s obviously not the direction the spiderverse movies went with. So we’re going to largely disregard them for this. To expand, there was a big time jump between that last noir comic and the spiderverse ones. Peter would be closer to mid/late 20s at the start of the comics spiderverse and therefore ITSV if we were to integrate and replace the timelines, BUT I always hated the way they did that time jump in the comics and what it did to Peter’s character.
It felt like they were trying to tie him into 616 Peter wayyyy too much by making his love interest MJ(who we rlly haven’t seen and what we have seen hasn’t had good chemistry), have a good relationship with May(they rlly brushed him shooting someone in front of her and calling him an animal under the rug Huh), and going to college(I get it I do, but unlike most universes I don’t think this Peter could ever stop spiderman enough). There wasn't really any mention of Felicia, Urich, or Robby and their past. They also changed his webbing, his look, and his spider senses.
I felt like that was completely getting rid of all of Peter's characterization and he just becomes the spider with a gun from the 1930s. But the point is they clearly went in a very different artistic and narrative direction after the time jump to a point where it doesn’t feel like the same character.
Refitting the timeline:
So, scrapping the comics spiderverse timeline, I don’t really see a reason for a disjointed time jump. And after those first two comic runs it can be argued, for this Peter, that ITSV happens much sooner for him after that second run, possibly even after the first comic. Then ATSV would happen after that second run. There is an 8mo. time jump between the two runs so it is definitely feasible.
But let’s talk about mood between the runs.
We all know at least somewhat this Peter's origin, and if you don’t, to sum it up: organized crime, monsters, socialism, cannibalism.
The first run ends, Peter beats the goblin without killing him and he’s feeling pretty good about himself/confident. But he’s still got a lot of well deserved angst and self hatred. His uncle is dead, his new mentor/father figure is dead, his relationship with May is on the rocks to say the least, and there’s the whole Felicia thing. He’s still a high schooler and in that teen range, but a big ass lanky teenager who's only solid looking because of the gear he wears. I’d place him around 16-18, a case could be made for 15 but I’m going to politely disagree. ITSV could very easily be fairly soon after these events.
It’s 8 months after the first run. He becomes cocky and overconfident this whole next issue, possibly because of an interdimensionally inflated ego? Point is he feels on top of his game. Also worth mentioning, he’s ignoring MJ this whole issue to the point the audience knows basically nothing about her while he is having a very intense relationship with Felicia(which we already know how I feel about that whole mess) and who MJ is very blatantly and very badly a foil to.(I love MJ she is just not well written here).
The second run ends, his best friend/possible love interest(I said what I said), Robbie, is dead and unavenged.(I can talk a lot more about Robbie and what effect he had and will have on Peter going forward, also the disservice of his ‘death’) Felicia is disfigured and blames Peter. Peter not only blames himself for all this but the comic ends with him saying he feels powerless and a constant sense of impending doom. He really did not get a single win during this comic, man got the shit beaten out of him too. The age at the end of this comic is 17-19. After the last comic dude was messed up but still had hope, after this one we don’t see the fall out, but I can assure it was BAD. That whole ‘you don’t have to kill the bad guy thing’ is probably out the fucking window. I’m more hesitant to think ITSV happened after this run because of that. He isn’t just depressed or self loathing anymore, he isn’t just playing fast and loose with his life to get results. He does not care, he has no hope, and he doesn’t see a good future.
Pre - ATSV predictions with mild spoilers:
With the year and a couple of months time jump for ATSV it’s very plausible that the events of that last run plus possible spider task force shenanigans could happen before the movie. For more context in the comics spider noir was a recurring spider in the ‘elite strike force’. Personally, if he was invited, I could very much see him accepting, especially with his current mental state, and being very aggressive about it. Which, theoretically, could cause him to get kicked off or make a rash decision to leave bc fuck those guys. But the point is at the end of that last comic this man really doesn’t have a single win, he is in a prime state to be manipulated in.
Edit: my dumbass forgot literally the most important detail. The year 1933 is when ITSV noir comes from which matches this timeline with the comics as well.
To sum everything up, the reason why I think spider noirs age is in the 18/20 range is because it fits the above timeline, which I believe to be the most probable timeline of events that are canon by the movies while also staying consistent with at least some of the original comics. It should be further noted there is no evidence of his age throughout the ITSV movie, besides him being played by Nicholas Cage and being tall. In fact, I’d argue due to his excessive use of slang it would naturally place him in a younger category as well as the classic melodramaticness that can come with being a coping teenager. The most important thing that makes his age and at what point in his storyline he’s in up to interpretation is the fact that we see his face once and it’s heavily shadowed. If we saw his face more I’d feel better about giving him a more solid age, but till then context clues for the win. But anyways, this was long and I still have more I could get into/say and I will eventually. Feel free to ask any questions or even tell me why you disagree!
#never claimed my takes were correct or sane but holy shit I will bring receipts#no hate to anyone who HCs him older cause I do understand and see it#especially if you haven’t read the comics or are including the spidergeddon jumping off point#spiderverse spoilers#only like a little#it’s more noir comic spoilers lol#into the spiderverse#across the spiderverse#I cannot wait to see him in beyond the spiderverse#these comics refuse to leave my brain#spider noir conspiracies#spidernoir#spiderman noir#spider noir#marvel#peter benjamin parker#Peter parker#ben urich#robbie robertson#Felicia hardy#mary jane watson#may parker#Ben parker#ITSV#ATSV#marvel noir

my dps roman empires
cuz i keep seeing those videos with my love mine all mine on my feed with consistently ugly-sob-inducing stories and roman empires so now i have this long list i wanna share
+ may include some little facts here and there for anyone new in the fandom
• anderperry’s entire relationship and dynamic
literally no explanation needed on why it’s the top of the list and the first thing i wrote down
the whole hourglass and icarus x the sun dynamics makes me sob every time without fail
someone rewrite the script so they have a happy ending please
also me: wym they already do?? they got married and went to new york??????
• charlie and neil :(((
• thinking about charlie’s experience and dealing with grief post-expulsion
• todd’s entire character
bro makes my quiet x anxious kid heart go brrr
like just thinking about the little implications of his behavior and what’s said about his brother in the script makes me wanna cry and scream and throw a tantrum
he really represents the epitome of all quiet shy kids out there and i really appreciate it
• dead poet’s society but from cameron’s perspective
i understand y’all wanting to punch and yell at him and show no forgiveness but i also think you should give a bit of sympathy for this kid
he doesn’t know any better just like charlie or any of the other poets
damn this movie does a great job of showing reality and the fact that there’s no real enemies
• dead poet’s society but from pitts’s perspective 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
like i’d pay to see this honestly
• pitts’s screen time :((((
my underrated boy :(((((
• pitts and cameron’s dynamic
i KNOW we see these two talking in the background and seeing him make cameron laugh and smile the most compared to everyone else
like??? i wanna see more?????
cameron being outwardly comfortable around someone finally???
• the fact that all the movie's events ensued as they’re all high schoolers
like idk if there’s a canonical age for any of them but whether they’re juniors or seniors the trauma is still the same
• the thoughts of the kids who stood up on their desks at the end of the movie
how are they dealing with keating being away now? how do they view life in general?? did they really appreciate keatings class???? would they join the dps if they had the chance???????
• hopkins’s portrayal
its kind of a 50/50 since bro barely has screen time, yet i see his character oftentimes being portrayed as the class asshole
i think it’s clear that him and his friends commit tomfoolery and are overall jerks but to think that he’s the more sensible, level-headed guy makes a lot of sense to me—kinda similar to charlie in a way
like he knows limits and when to not push them even if he doesn’t come off that way. all bro does is chill in class and stare off into the windows daydreaming (as shown in the whole ripping out the poetry intro scene). bro doesn’t wanna be there. he’s just chilling and honestly same💀
• spencer’s actual treatment in the movie
ik we love this man, and our headcanons (or at least what i’ve seen and my own for the most part) say that people treat him well but low key everyone be on his shit
like it brings up the question of whether or not this is considered bullying cause any scene i see he’s either blatantly shoved around or even the guys around him purposely steal his medicine and pass it around so he can’t have it (including stick participating in this)-
like i think there’s some limits to being a jerk and idk how spencer really feels throughout the movie cuz he’s a background character :////
• HANDSOME ASS BACKGROUND CHARACTERS AND THEIR SCREEN TIMES = UNFAIR! CRIMINAL !!!!!
• the fact that ginny’s character just gets completely cutout. like she has a few lines to begin with and then the movie comes out and she ends up being a non-speaking extra in the play like i’m- what happened???
• tina and gloria / girl characters portrayed in dps in general
let me explain cuz i love them but also feel bad for their characters
like low key they’re just used as experiments for the cave (implied by charlie in a deleted scene that wasn’t recovered although i think this part is in the original script as well if i remember correctly)
although he brings them back a second time in a deleted scene where they’re all dancing around outside of the cave on the night of the play only for him to make out with one of them in another deleted scene that wasn’t recovered… (( this was revealed in an old interview on someone working behind the scenes btw ))
so like i kinda feel bad for them. like y’all just there for show but i wish you had more lines and other purposes besides possibly not passing a bechdel test ://////
^ lowkey this same concept is kinda seen with chris’s character too. like all she’s there for is a romantic interest for knox. like cmon now she’s one of the main female characters and THIS is what she gets. i wanna know more about my girl chris!!!!
and i kind of understand why it’s set up this way since y’know it’s an all male boarding school in the 1950s—how do you fit female characters in and how are they viewed? it’s not the greatest setup of all time
• ANDERPERRY DELETED SCENE ON THE DOCK NOT MAKING IT INTO THE FILM LIKE OUT OF ALL DELETED SCENES THAT ONE IS THE REALLY IMPORTANT ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
• the deleted scene of the poets carrying neil’s coffin 🚶♂️
like goodbye. doors closed. tears shed.
kinda glad it’s not in the movie cuz i would’ve sobbed uncontrollably even more than neil’s death
• todd’s poem
another deleted scene that really rearranges my internal organs
the fact that him reading this poem was supposed to be in tandem/include shots with neil’s death-
why do the writers want us to cry rivers?????
BUT ALSO ITS FUNNY ASF IF YALL WATCH THIS DELETED SCENE WHEN TODD IS TELLING THEM WHAT TO REPEAT BETWEEN VERSES, ONE OF THE POETS GOES “what??🤨”
I’M SORRY TODD IK YOURE TRYING BUT THAT LITTLE AIRHEADED ASS “what?” IS SO FUNNY TO ME
• the fact that in the very first version of the script, keating was supposed to have cancer
I FORGOT ABOUT THIS UNTIL LAST MINUTE
LIKE Y’ALL ADMITTED THAT YOU WANTED TO HAVE A SCENE OF KEATING DYING IN A HOSPITAL AND WERE PONDERING ON WHETHER HIS CHARACTER SHOULD HAVE A FATAL ILLNESS FOR THREE DAYS ?!?!?
thank god y’all made the right decision and rewrote the script to take that out

I’ve noticed how a lot of borderline people, especially fem borderline people, have an attachment to Ramona and I genuinely find it so interesting because while I don’t think Ramona was intended to have BPD she’s a very complex character and she was written really well in terms of showing and not telling.
Scott’s obsessive nature is something that wasn’t hard to pull apart because it was just kind of handed to you but Scott’s obsessiveness is written to make him flawed and less likeable at times, and because those parts of his personality are written in a way to make him look bad while a lot of people with BPD may have had similar tendencies but aren’t likely to gravitate to him like that (I’m sure someone has but there’s also the whole dating a high schooler that makes people feel weird about him)
Obviously Knives is also seen with an obsessive and jealous nature, and even pulls bits of her identity from Kim and Ramona, and I think a decent amount of borderlines also really love Knives. For me personally my perception of Knives was more just her being a teenage girl with her first love, but all of that is just my personal perception and there’s not really a right or wrong.
Back to Ramona, one of the biggest things with her is her changing her hair constantly was done with the intention of how she feels at any given time and a way for her to try on new identities, which is something a lot of borderlines do with their appearance. Ramona also works really hard to learn and know whatever she can about Scott, being a little intrusive at times. Ramona carries a lot of emotional baggage herself and she seems unable to let go of things.
Ramona also adapts a mysterious nature and even though she is well liked she seems a bit lonely. Ramona being so mysterious could go back to her not liking who she is, which is something a lot of people with BPD struggle with, along with wanting to be someone else yet feeling unable to change.
The biggest thing for me that made me feel so close and connected to her was how she “runs away from the thing she loves”. Ramona’s unstable relationships and personality make her very relatable to people with BPD and it’s very interesting because I think that feeling of being stuck and unable to get away from feelings even when you’re running from them makes it really easy for a borderline to empathize with her.
Lastly, despite her being emotionally complex Ramona is written as a badass female character which makes it easy for someone with BPD to want to adopt parts of her personality because she’s cool and also relatable at the same time.
I’m sure someone has said something like this before, and I wouldn’t go far enough to claim Ramona has BPD because I don’t think that was intended, but as a person with BPD seeing a character with these kind of traits also being portrayed as a good person is super comforting.
(if anyone takes the time to read all of this please don’t bully me i’ll cry)

Have you’ve ever watched Kuroko No Basketball? If not it’s basically a group of middle schoolers turn high schoolers who are prodigies at basketball. They were called the Generation of Miracles. And once they enter highschool they split up to see who’s on top.
I have an request what if reader was their coach from when they were in middle school. And she coaches them again when they enter college. But when they were in high school she was working for bonten. But bonten being nosy decides to see the reason she quited and come to find out reader trained the elite team in Japan. The Generation of Miracle’s
—Bonten (slight Kuroko no basket) x reader
—Summary: homesickness makes you want to go back to your old job and your new coworkers are curious
—Warnings: none
yeeeeah, I know knb, a good series even though I didn't finish it 😔🤌🏻
You were someone young when you first met the Generation of Miracles, completely fascinated by the basketball games of that team, you could not resist asking for your internship as a coach there. When they were in middle school you had just finished your studies in sports science, so you applied to go to Teiko as your final grade internship. Many people took you as another miracle added to the team, but you did nothing more than polish those six guys flaws, and your work wouldn't have been as noticeable if it wasn't thanks to their manager Momoi.
Although you decided not to finish your studies there, also noticing how the atmosphere of what at first was a united and hard-working team gradually broke down, you did not meet any of them again after they separated to go to different high schools. So during those years you started studying a management degree while looking for a job, you ended up working for, without knowing it, the most sought after gang in all of Tokyo. It's not that you didn't know about Bonten, but when you accepted the job they obviously didn't put anything related to that mafia, since at least you were working in one of their legal premises.
How you got to know all the executives and the leader himself was through your performance, rising through the ranks quickly, since not many people wanted to work there, the truth is that you didn't either, but it was already too late and you had a confidentiality contract. The thing is... it wasn't as bad as you thought, not as bad if you take away all the illegal shit they do behind the scenes, but since you weren't involved in those problems, you took it in a better way.
Probably the one closest to you is Kokonoi or Mochizuki due to the fact that they were the ones with the least legal problems, you had a love-hate relationship with the Haitani because they liked to mess with you from time to time. Kakucho was definitely the one who calmed all your nerves for being the sanest one there, just like Takeomi, you couldn't say the same about Sanzu, he always made you nervous because he walked around with a gun like it was his dog. You didn't see Mikey much, but your relationship was mere cordiality, for the moment you hadn't bothered him and you had done your job well so he had no problems.
So from one day to the next you found yourself being friends with one of the most powerful mafias in Tokyo, putting aside that sporty side of yours for a few years until one day, while cleaning your apartment, you found a photo with Teiko's basketball team. The nostalgia hit you so hard that you spent the whole day thinking about those years, your love for basketball having only crumbled a little because of the breakup of a good team.
You spent the next few days looking for information about them, they had already finished their studies and it seems they all met again at the university, you were surprised to see all those matches in which Kuroko won and you felt completely proud to see that everyone had improved their techniques, even though Aomine didn't appear much until the end.
The thing is that its gameplay reminded you of the old team, maybe it was a hasty or impulsive choice, but your contract with Bonten ended in a week, despite having a good salary and position, you wanted to feel again what was to be a coach. The decision took everyone by surprise of course, normally employees don't usually decide to end the contract and renew for another year, or they are simply the ones who have to get rid of people who don't serve them, but they had a good relationship with you.
Mikey didn't take it too seriously, but he was curious as to why you did it, since he had some regard for your hard work even though you knew they were criminals.
"Well? Have you found any information?"
Takeomi nodded, passing a folder to his leader, although of course, he wasn't the only curious one, everyone was looking for information about you.
"Oh, basketball coach, seems to do well right?"
"Aren't those guys the generation of…? erm... yeah, whatever, they're famous."
Sanzu simply didn't care about that team, he just looked at the photos where you were smiling holding the tournament cup.
"Look, this is the most recent news, it was on yesterday's news."
Rin turned on the projector, playing an informative sports video announcing your reunion with the generation of miracles for the Japanese team.
"Looks like I'm going to have more work now..."
Kokonoi leaned back massaging his scalp, you took a lot of work off of him and now he was on his own to take care of it all.
"I hope they win."
Mikey left all the photos of old championships won, intertwining his fingers, you were a good worker, he respected your decision to return to the sport but I also hoped that you would return with them, for now he would limit himself to seeing your progress in this tournament with your old team.

PLL 1x19 Review - As Per Anon Request
Honestly, I feel like the opening theme would be more effective to play after the recap and before the actual episode starts.
Shay. Can't. Cry.
What IS this?
"He told her to come closer ... ... and she did." LOL, Great dialogue there.
There is no tension in these interrogation scenes it's so funny.
What is Spencer's jacket? Is she a nutcracker?
"Whoever said 'the truth will set you free' never met A." "Jesus. Jesus said it. It's from the bible." Emily, WHY was that necessary? Like ... what kind of contribution to the conversation is that? They don't actually need to know WHO said it.
"You know, sometimes telling the truth does more harm than good." "Who said that?" Not Jesus. "Alison." Clearly the opposite of Jesus.
"Hey, Emily." "Garrett??" "You're a cop now??" Who is this person.
I don't have siblings but beefing with your 16 year old sister is insane. You're a grown ass woman, Melissa.
"I don't want to go home until my parents get back." WHY WOULD THEY LEAVE? THEIR SON WAS ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF MURDER AND THEIR CHILDREN HAD A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP UNDER THEIR ROOF. WHAT IS GOING ON?
"You never talk about your parents." OK but does he actually have any??
ooooooooh the convenient and contrived revelation of 214.
Hanna, why would you tell Caleb to come upstairs when you know your mother is home? And would it not make more sense to bring him food to the basement and collect dishes?
And Caleb really does act like this is house.
"I know guys like Caleb. He's a tough guy." HOW? HE JUST WEARS A BEANIE AND THEY ALL DO, IT'S THE 2010s! You are the actual criminal here, get a GRIP.
I swear to god if a plot twist is that Jenna actually isn't a high schooler and has been lying about her age I would be like, that is the one thing in this show that makes sense.
"What's her story about?" I know that Ezra is already crossing every boundary that matters but don't talk about another student's work to your child bride, you dick.
"I'm waiting for a manager to call me back." Are you not the police?
"Mr. Fitz isn't seduced by controlling characters" Aria, please. Also what the fuck kind of English teacher is Ezra? 1984, Animal Farm or Brave New World should be on that reading list.
20 dollars? You didn't even haggle.
"Jenna's glasses. This is her room." She just has a standing room at a motel she doesn't stay at or live at?
Hanna, you and your mom just had a conversation about Caleb because he left the toilet seat up in a house he's squatting in because he acts like he actually lives there and you don't even think to check to see if your mom is home first? Because she probably is. The plot's gotta plot.
"Mom?"
Remember when you stole money?
I don't even remember what Emily's side quest is.
Emily just deciding to move on from Maya is lol. Because she sounded happy in one phone call?
Maya was nothing like Alison. Alison is a psychopath.
"Welcome home, honey." I don't know if I just think Aria dresses more childish than the others because she's with Ezra and the clothes themselves are just regular clothes but the whole dynamic of them is like, she's clearly a teen, she dresses like a teen and you're an adult, or if it's that plus the fact that they just give Aria more girl-like clothes and by girl-like I mean, like, little girl-esque. It's obviously not Lolita fashion but you get it.
"But out here you're Dora the Explorer? You have any other personalities that I should know about." Her personality didn't change, Caleb, she just has other skills and interests.
Neither Hanna nor Caleb are good enough actors for this scene to be as poignant as it should be but it works better than anything else, so.
Are you two going to have sex in that tent.
I love that they probably couldn't afford a Pink song so they just have Paige butcher it in karaoke.
Spencer and Toby scrabble scene is my favourite scene of theirs so far. "Thanks for the 'g' I was waiting for it."
They need to keep it at that energy of meeting your match. The intense longing stares don't work imo.
So Maya gets cut off because she sounded happy one time but Paige tries to drown you and it's makeout time?
Spencer being the big spoon tracks.
"We might see people we know there." You're on a picnic in the woods everyone goes to, Paige. Caleb now lives in those woods.
Gossip Girl (and AtS) is the only show I can think of that takes place in a city, like a big city like New York. Can you think of any others?
"I like you too." Even though you tried to drown me.
If I ever did what Hanna did, the door would be locked if I tried to come back. Oh, the lives of teenagers in teen dramas. The freedom. The audacity.
"There's a chance that you'll never look at me the same way again." I like how his response is just "Aria..." like he didn't commit one way or the other, girl.
Also, he's a predator.
I hate how Toby speaks: It wasn't ... ... ... a complete wash. *speeds up* Tobehonest ...
Oh wow, the kiss happened way sooner than I expected.
Idk make up your mind. Is Toby awkward and hesitant or is she assertive?
Also, I feel like Caleb is supposed to have some kind of charisma and charm and if that was the case, instead of asking if he could take a soda, he would warm himself up to Hanna's mom by offering to help her cook dinner. Like, all of you can say whatever you want to say about Dean in Gilmore Girls but he learned the traditions of Rory and Lorelai, he knew Lorelai was important to impress.
Ezra and his serial killer eyes.
"Thank you for looking at me tonight the same way you did yesterday" You're sixteen, Aria.
I keep wanting to call Hanna's mom Melissa even though her name is Ashley.
*gasp* CaLeB wOrKs fOr A????
"Honey, they know that you were seeing Ian" so then why is SHE being questioned? SHE'S THE MINOR. Jesus Christ. And why would she be a person of interest just because she was "seeing" Ian? That has nothing to do with Alison if they don't believe that he was seeing Alison.

so i came up with a rough idea for a scott pilgrim inspired litg au where you have an evil ex from each season (minus season 8 since it's coming out now)
Bobby would be the main character, which I didn't want at first because he's the most popular LI but I think his personality seems the most likely to get into this situation (minus the Scott Pilgrim being an incel but that's why it's inspired and not a one to one). Also works since he's in a band.
Obviously MC is his dream girl (Ramona in the movie). Could probably have Noah be his roommate, who is bookish and also a little sick of his problems. Then you have the other band members: Lottie is the drummer (who is also Bobby's ex who's still a little mad at him), idrc who the guitarist is lol, and then I think it'd be funny to have a character who wants to be in the band but they don't let him until the end and that should be Felix.
The stuff about Knives I understand is important to the Scott Pilgrim story but I'm not a huge fan of the "dating a high schooler" part lol. Still, we can have a character that he's dating who's all in and he is not but he doesn't have the heart to break up with her and ends up breaking her heart anyway, and that's probably Hannah.
MC shows up to his concert and then you meet the first evil ex, Dylan. And MC is like oh they dated for a week in middle school and after she broke his heart, he kind of became the asshole we know him as now. (the only reason I'm picking Dylan first is because I think Matthew Patel is one of the more cringe exes and I just simply couldn't do that to anyone else in s4, plus after the exposition he just gets thrown away anyway).
Next, Bobby, Noah, and MC all go visit a local movie set and they see her next ex, Rafi. I don't know why I always picture Rafi with his like weird smouldering face, but that honestly works well with this character, if you've ever seen pictures of Chris Evans in this movie. Because there's a skateboarding aspect in this, I did consider it should be Jamal, but for the bit I already picked a s6 character so it had to be someone else lol.
Anyway, Rafi gets defeated by his arrogance and then Bobby's band is playing in a contest, where he sees his ex and her new band mate/boyfriend, Mason, who is also MC's ex. As for Bobby's ex, it doesn't matter too much but I could see it being Yasmin since she's also a singer, Priya because she canonically is a fan of Mason's band (i think?) and there are routes where she's initially coupled up with Bobby, or Elisa because I think on some s2 routes she goes for Bobby but also I just like her aesthetic compared to this character in the movie. Also I just think either of them look good next to Mason (maybe they don't fit personality wise but they'd look good)
So Mason gets defeated, probably not with the vegan thing (but if we switch Mason for Levi, I could believe that), but something silly other than physically beating him. Next ex is Bonnie, who is clingy as hell. I don't think we should keep the part where Ramona calls it her like college experimentation stuff because that's not a great stereotype, but I kinda like the idea that Bonnie thinks they were in a relationship and had something but MC is like, no, clearly not.
The next exes are the twins, and so I had no other choice than to make this Ozzy and Marshall. I also think MC probably drove them apart and then when they finally compared stories they finally became friends again and are out for vengeance. Anyway, they get defeated.
Last but not least, the ex to rival all exes, the titular character of s5, we have Suresh running this shit. He is so hung up over MC that he set up this whole league. Literally nothing about his character would make me think he'd do this (because this character in Scott Pilgrim is so malicious actually), but he is the "ex in the villa" so he's gotta be the final boss.
#litg#rambling#love island the game#i literally only thought of this because of the number seven and i was like oh cool one per season plus the final LI in s8#but i forgot two of them were twins and i could've just not made them twins in the au but i mean if we have double trouble i might as well#i actually have so many ideas for litg au's as movies lmao so whenever i type those up get ready for that#litg au#is there an intersection of scott pilgrim fans and litg fans lmao

Does anyone remember "Shiki"?
I was like already in college when I got to watch this show. It was not only creepy but also weird because you have these characters with crazy hairstyles and outfits which made this show stick with me. This is something I'd watch as an angsty high schooler. It's got goth vampires (with one of them being a loli), a furry (though one of them is a Jinrou or a special kind of vampire that can go out in the day), and brooding emo guys. At least from how I'd describe it.
In most media, vampires are often depicted as mindless bloodsuckers or romantic love interests (I'm lookin' at you Twilight!). "Shiki" does something different by showing how both of these vampires and humans are all doing whatever they can to survive. The fact there are also vampires would be mercilessly killed by the townsfolks regardless if they deserve it or not is traumatizing.
It shows just how cruel the world can be. When you have lived through violence and death every day, you either become desensitized or paranoid. Another thing is this show felt like a documentary where they'd show you various events on each date. Every character gets an introduction similar to how you're being introduced personally to everyone in town.
Here's a bit of spoilers by the way: I remember this character name Kaori Tanaka who was so traumatized and thought her younger brother Akira was already dead that she approached the town's local monk and asking to hold a funeral for her.
I can tell this girl is afraid of death, that she even thought the vampires may come for her next but also she has nowhere else to go and all she could think of is escaping from this dreadful village. Let me tell you she's fifteen. This sweet girl deserves better!
Also, her friend Megumi sucks! She reminds me of some folks who made it difficult for me to establish healthy relationships with anyone as years went by. If I were Kaori, I'd start blowing off at her 'coz she's just an insufferable brat. However, a tiny part of me can't help but feel bad for Megumi especially when all she wanted was to leave Sotoba. She didn't deserve to die mainly because she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I wish she ended up escaping to the city and eventually learning how much of a bad friend she was once she got older.
Let's also not forget this crazy fella: Masao Murasako. This crackhead-lookin' dude is a lot insufferable like he is always desperate for attention. I remember how pathetic he is such as how he'd be salty over how his little nephew was taking up everyone's attention. The reason is he used to be spoiled by the whole family until the kid's birth. Everyone is dying and this guy is trying to make every situation revolve around him.
Man, seeing him get turned into a vampire and later getting killed was satisfying!

Spring 2023 Anime Overview: Skip and Loafer and Birdie Wing Season 2
Skip and Loafer

Mitsumi comes from a small, under-populated town and her dream is to become a government official and help her town out. After getting into an elite high school in Tokyo, she moves there and finds that there are a lot of challenges in the big city and new people to meet. Her new friend, Sousuke, is a nice, popular guy, but he also has a troubled past. But Mitsumi is determined to face anything life throws her way!
Skip and Loafer is just one of those shows that’s like a warm hug. Mitsumi is an instantly endearing protagonist- dorky, earnest, and driven. She's overwhelmed moving from her small town to Tokyo, and a little naive about some things, but she's a can-do gal determined to make it work! There's an overwhelming kindness to Skip and Loafer that permeates every inch of it. Characters that would just be a simple antagonist or "mean girl" in other anime have their struggles explored and become whole, realized people with good points and bad points.
Sousuke is a troubled former child star who experiences some conflict, but it's not like Mitsumi 'fixes' him- he simply learns and grows through his experiences with her, both through their conflicts and moments of connection. There's some great female friendships too, and they focus on girls from different social spheres working to find real connection to each other and trying to look past stereotypes and misconceptions. It shows why labels like 'popular girl', 'nerd girl', and so on, are no reason to judge someone.
There's also some nice trans representation with Mitsumi's aunt, Nao, who is a trans woman. Nao-chan's a fun character, who tries to guide her overwhelmed s niece and forms a surprising connection with one of her friends, while still showing off her own sweet and goofy quirks and giving hints about her own life story and how it shaped her outlook. She is also truly wise:
Some brief transphobia towards Nao is shown in the form of people whispering about her on the train, but Mitsumi immediately holds her hand and shows support. Skip and Loafer's kindness extends to the treatment of Nao-chan, and we're clearly meant to cheer for her as she thrives.
All-in-all, Skip and Loafer is a relaxing, entertaining and funny- it has a light touch and a focus on relationships, treating the conflicts and complications high schoolers can face with nuance and empathy. The characters are loveable and the setting is fully realized. The animation is very cute and delivers a couple of beautiful moments. It was the most consistently excellent show I watched this season (even if it didn't reach the highest highs of some other shows) and I think anyone who enjoys slice of life shows, or just wants something that's pleasant to watch but has enough depth to remain entertaining, should definitely check it out.
Birdie Wing Season 2

Premise: Season 2 of the saga where two girl golf geniuses just want to face each other one the green and have their homoerotic sports rivalry like they were MEANT TO, but weird family drama and the actual mafia keep getting in the way.
In my review of Birdie Wing's first season, I completely enjoyed the show's absurdity, but was worried it could all come crashing down in the second season. Fortunately, it did not! Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story remains a bombastically absurd sports anime that is fun to watch all the way through. Please come watch these girls get ridiculous sports injuries, scream their super golf attacks, and be ten times more intense than your average shonen sports show.
Birdie Wing also pulled some great moves this season, like having Eve's caddy from golfing high school be pulled into the absurd world of the golf mafia and react to it with the same panicked confusion the audience might. "They're going to KILL you if you LOSE A GOLF GAME? Why is the golf course like this? How much does this cost?" she cries while Eve just shrugs everything off.

Meanwhile, the show finally brings in the bread and butter of sports anime- injuries and diseases that the main characters are going to ignore for the love of sport. But the tired trope becomes wonderfully absurd and almost verges on pointed commentary when it's GOLF, the sport of retirees, causing these ridiculous injuries. Seeing Eve gets covered with bandages because she golfed too fucking hard, or having this line:

...It really throws into perspective how ridiculous sports anime is when it glamorizes people destroying their bodies for the 'love of the game'. I don't know if that was intentional, but it is very funny.
I am immensely grateful that the plot twist I was fearing didn't come to fruition in the show- instead, in classic Birdie Wing fashion, they teased that terrible plot twist, but instead gave an explanation that was a thousand times more soap opera-esque and ridiculous. I have to to applaud that moxie.
But what's important is that the true believers made it through. We're okay. (If you want to know what I'm talking about and don't mind spoilers, please enjoy this meme I made based off a famous tweet by Crunchyroll).
I must share an anecdote- I had to watch the finale while on vacation with my Mom. When she overheard all the yelling, she was like "are you watching a magical girl show?" "no it's a sports anime- they're playing golf" "Oh...why does it sound like a magical girl show?"
Sadly, the finale was a little bit of a let down- it was rushed compared to other parts of the show and felt like less than it could be. (Considering G-witch had the same problem, I wonder if it was a Bandai wide issue).

But it was still fun. While Aoi and Eve sadly do not kiss or become an explicit couple (despite Aoi very much wanting to!), there is at least absurd golf team up moment you could read as being a Super Deep metaphor for their love. Not much of an excuse, but it's something. The end of the show didn't go as hard as it could have (or, I think, should have) but it was still ridiculously, wonderfully Birdie Wing.
I was disappointed Aoi and Eve were separated this season so much (and unlike the first season, did not pine for each other nearly as much during separations since they were busy contending with ridic plot stuff), but on the plus side, there weren't really many 'sexual menace' or jarringly mature moments like the first season had.
Overall, I think it was a really solid follow up, and I can now wholeheartedly recommend Birdie Wing as a show. Just heed the content warnings I left in my first review so you too don't get killed by golf! Once you're ready, let the glorious golf wash over you. You won't regret it.

Jonathan headcanons bc I’m so mentally ill abt him
appearance headcanons
freckle Jonathan is SO real to me. his face is covered with them and he only gets more every time he’s in the sun
he’s the guy who’s hair is crazy curly as a kid but once he goes through puberty it’s suddenly super straight
he looks way more like his mom than his dad
i hc that after the mansion fight w dio he has actually remaining burns (idc if that doesnt comply w canon!! i do what i want!!)
tan Jonathan REAL! my out in the sun king
relationship headcanons
While I do think he’s an “every single love language ever” kinda guy, I think his main one is words of affirmation. Definitely can’t go a day without gushing abt how much he loves Erina and Speedwagon (also jonerinawagon polycule real)
speaking of which, bisexual jonathan is extremely real 2 me.
he loves doing any boring task for someone he cares about. folding laundry for erina is basically heaven for him
he proposed to erina by the tree w their initials carved into it bc i said so
uses horrible archaeologist pick up lines on his baes (for ex: hey babe, are you an ancient artifact? bc i wanna date you!)
just overall horrible at flirting when he's actually trying to be flirtatious. endearingly cringe, if u will
stresses out every time erina is on her period. she's getting princess treatment and it slightly pisses her off bc she's capable of still doing things but jonathan insists on her staying in bed all week
modern au headcanons
he's the kind of person who's just naturally decent at most things, so even when he's never played a game, he'll end in 2nd or 1st place. for example: bowling, minigolf, darts, and pool. he's comically bad at twister tho
he LOVES movies and once he watches a new one he's quoting it every two seconds and is just a little too upset if they other person doesn't recognize it
I interpret him as autistic (I’ve made a whole video abt his autistic traits in canon lmfaoo)
a real sweater and bomber jacket kinda guy. he has fun funky sweaters w silly patterns on them for sure
collects shoes. idk he just seems like the guy who has so many pairs of shoes for absolutely no reason. he's got every color of the rainbow in his shoe bin
volunteers at a museum part time. great w the kids and loves infodumping to these like middle-schoolers about some artifact.
horrible at reading tone over text. has misinterpreted lots of passive aggressive texts from erina as positive. (she has since learned to either use tone tags or the angry emoji to make her point more clear. the emoji is more effective every time)
has smoked weed before and every time he does its obvious that hes high as balls but he always thinks hes being sneaky abt it
cheated off of erina in high school to pass some classes. its his darkest secret and if anyone ever finds out he will like explode on the spot
also was super popular in high school but didn't realize, as he was too used to being a loser (12yr jonathan is a friendless loser no matter the universe)
im so insane i love him
#jjba#jojos bizarre adventure#jonathan joestar#headcanon#im insane#headcanon dump#hcs#modern au#alternate universe#canon hcs#also hes a cat guy i think#bisexual jonathan joestar#bisexual#lgbtq#silly

hi i have an idea and if yall wanna hear pls do.
so, me and my friend were talking and talked abt what could've made the heros of olympus series better. mind you, we r now high schoolers, we first read the series in middle school, like 6th grade. also, they are aro/ace (ish, still questioning) and i like to write + i love valgrace.
(BTW IM DOING THE KEEP READING THING BC ITS LONG AND ID FEEL BAD IF U HAD TO READ ALL THAT WITHOUT IT)
so one of the things we decided would've made it more interesting was if piper and jason never ended up together, like at all. ik im a hardcore valgrace shipper, but my friend isn't and we agreed mutually that this didn't make much sense. their whole relationship was built on false memories and one quest, piper pining over him the whole time. we think that also would've enhanced pipers destiny as an aphrodite kid. an aphrodite kid who never dated in the most "important" part of her life, the main part we follow. an aphrodite kid who couldn't get the boy she'd loved. if she'd never dated, it could've really brought out more of the "aphrodite" part of her identity. i'm bad at explaining, but trust. it makes sense in my head. plus, it could show how she's this aphrodite kid who actually is a lesbian yall. which could've been a rlly interesting aspect, maybe some comphet.
one more thing is that whenever jason talks about piper, as his girlfriend, he comments on her physical aspects. as her platonic friend, he comments on her mind. idk if that makes sense, but when reading it, it felt more like how he'd compliment leo, or frank, or someone who was "just a friend".
plus, it feels weird that all of their friends are dating, maybe it could've caused peer pressure? like how leo felt, always being "7th wheel" (idk i came up with that on the spot)
the next thing was if leo and calypso never fell in love. as said before, im a valgrace shipper and they aren't, but we both thought this was an awkward and toxic relationship. the reason why, i'll get into later, but first i wanna talk about why it could've been better in the series.
we think that it could've been more impactful for calypso's side of the story. yes, i know calypso wasn't a great person in mythology, but we have to think of this from both characters perspectives. this is how my friend put it:
it could've been more impactful for calypso since it would've had an ending that was going against the god's curse of her falling in love with everyone on the island, but they couldn't leave. it would've been more interesting of the one person who did save her, was someone she wasn't in love with. the one person she didn't fall for was the person who actually came back for her.
that would've really made things more interesting for her story.
for leo's side, a (not important, but very hugely stated) part of his character is falling for people as a coping mechanism. idk the quote, but sometime in TLH, he talks about how he falls for people who are impossibly out of his league. ok, maybe this doesn't count as a coping mechanism, but it seems to be. sort of like attachment issues, always on the run since the people who did care about him died/left.
i think that it seems wrong (for rick to write, they could never make me hate you leo... with exceptions) for leo to fall for a girl who was "destined" to fall for him anyways. my poor boy. he'd gone through so much yall :(
and to the point of how caleo is sort of toxic, i haven't read much of toa, but i do find that they both cross boundaries.
for example, calling each other names they don't like. i find it VERY disrespectful for leo to call calypso "mamacita". i don't like her, but all girls deserve respect. she also states how she's told him not to call her that, and by the way he reacts, he knows.
similarly to calypso calling leo "leonidas". i don't have much information on this, but i'll link a tumblr post i read on this.
tumblr post on calypso being her own person (extra, not related to before but some other thing to read)
tumblr post on the name thing (read the whole thing, and check out some of the other reblogs, some are interesting, some are just like "f calypso", so just be careful)
one thing, i think i don't like calypso much, but i will not hate her till 1. i've done more research and 2. have more evidence why. i feel it unfair, and i know many people don't like her. i'm also incredibly biased towards leo, so yeah. but, i will give her the chance till i have more information on the subject.
on that note, i don't like caleo. i quite hate it. but for good reason, from what i've talked about. it was just too forced and toxic, and not good overall. maybe it could've been if it was written different, but i hope u understand where i am coming from. ALSO! I AM NOT A HATER BC I LIKE VALGRACE, IF YOU READ ANY OF THIS YOU'D KNOW THAT. im just saying, caleo could've just stayed platonic. just read it all of this + maybe the other blogs before commenting.
MAYBE I'LL WRITE MORE, BU T THX FOR READING
#calypso#leo valdez#piper mclean#jason grace#platonic jiper#heros of olympus#ricky when i catch you ricky#please hear me out#sorry for the huge rant#i might reblod later and add more#but idc rn#i hope you guys liked it lmao#valgrace (sorry)#i just had to couldn't resist tagging it#platonic caleo#they could've been friends.

I have now finished the first season of twin peaks and woah…it was a lot. This show has been a real wild ride with some many plots happening at once that are still somehow connected. I feel like I got some questions answered but still have so many left. The first big one being who shot Cooper at the end, like I’m sure he’s still alive, but like what!? Like is that person Laura’s actual killer.
Like it seems that Leo killed Laura , but I’m not sure like I’m sure he had some part in it, but I feel like there must be someone else or multiple other someone’s. Also, we still don’t know what the whole thing with the one armed man and the man with the long gray hair means. Like they must still be important somehow especially since Agent Cooper and Laura’s mom both had visions of the same guy. Also, we still don’t know what “fire walk with me” means and we still don’t know anything about what happened at the train cart or why. Also, Romette still hasn’t woken up yet so we still haven’t gotten her story yet. Lots of stuff still to uncover in season 2 it seems.
Outside of the Laura stuff we also had this story of the mill which took so many twists and turns. Like at first it seemed like Catherine and Ben Horne were working together to burn down the mill, then it turns out that he’s actually working with Josie and is going to screw Catherine over for some reason, but then Josie is also secretly working with Hank who she paid to kill her husband so she could get the money. But Ben still wants to burn down the mill since he hired Leo to do that? So, like is Josie actually okay with burning the mill down, like did he offer her something? I’m still a bit fuzzy on what’s going on with all that.
Also, as the season went on I accepted Donna and James together more even if the timing was still weird to me, I don’t mind them so much and kinda like them together now and I guess Laura wasn’t all the faithful either so yeah. Also, I still think it’s fun that they got Laura’s actress to still be in the show as her cousin and just put a brown wig and huge glasses on her, haha. Although, I am worried for James, I hope he can find a way to prove his innocence after Bobby put the drugs in his motorcycle.
Now, speaking of Bobby, I don’t know how I feel about him, I hated him in the first episode and while I still don’t like him I don’t know I feel a bit bad for him I guess. Although, I’m mad he framed James like that, like he’s such a hypocrite to be mad at him because he dated Laura when Bobby also cheated on Laura with Shelly. But, that’s stupid teenage boys I guess.
Now, onto Shelly, I feel bad for her and I’m glad Leo is dead now. Although I was a bit confused about her relationship with Bobby because he’s like what 17/18 and how old is she? Like at first I thought she was a teenager too, but then it seemed like she wasn’t but then Bobby mentioned something about how she dropped out of high school to be with Leo so maybe they are close in or the same age. Yeah, but I hope she’s okay and that she gets out of the burning mill, I’d hate for her to just die like that.
Next, a character I really came to love as the show went on was Audrey, I wasn’t sure how I felt about her at first but I really came to love her. She’s smart and quick-thinking. I see why she vibes so much with Agent Cooper, maybe they would be a cute couple if not for the fact that she’s a high schooler and he’s like in his 30s, I’m glad that Cooper officially told her they couldn’t be together but still offered to be her friend. Also, I’m very curious about what’s going to happen with her dad when he sees her at One-eyed Jacks.
Now about Agent Cooper, I enjoyed every minute he was onscreen he’s just so fun to watch and I also loved how everyone at the police station just accepted his weird methods and dreams. Like Harry didn’t even bat an eye at Cooper telling him about his dream and was fully ready to arrest whoever he said Laura’s killer was. It’s fun where supernatural esque stuff happens and everyone just rolls with it. I also like how much he’s come to care about everyone and this town and I’m glad he stood up for Harry against that jerk fbi guy and refused to agree to press charges. And when he agreed to help him with Josie even though he was a bit skeptical because Harry told him he loved her and said that’s all he needed to know, I thought it was sweet.
Now, a quick thing I want to talk about is some of the other side characters. Honestly, I kinda love Nadine, like yeah she’s crazy but idk I think Ed’s too boring for someone like her and she deserves better. I’ll be sad if she really is dead next season. Then, we had Norma’s storyline with her husband, I like Norma and I’m honestly a bit worried about what Hank will do to her if he finds out about her relationship with Ed. Then, Dr Jacoby who I’m not totally sure what his deal is, like he seems like a creep and like he had some gross infatuation with Laura and honestly seems like a bad therapist. Then, Laura’s dad, who seems like he’s lost it like I understand wanting to get back at your daughters killer but I’m not sure how much farther he’s gonna go. Then, there’s Pete who seems like a really nice guy, I liked his friendship with Josie and I hope he doesn’t die trying to save Catherine. Then, finally, I hope that Lucy and Andy work it out and he apologizes to Lucy for how he reacted to her saying she was pregnant and steps up to be a father. Lucy is very sweet and deserves only the best so he better give it to her.
Finally, to talk about Laura herself, it seems like Laura had a lot of issues she was struggling with. Like she seemed to have a really low opinion of herself and seemed to think that she was inherently bad and therefore deserved bad things to happen to her and even took it out on others. I feel like the show is a bit trying to portray her as some devious girl, but I don’t know I just feel sad for her. I’m interested to learn more about her and what happened to her in the next season.
Anyway, I really enjoyed myself this season and I’m excited to see what awaits.

My good friends Kanji and/or Naoto?
going for kanji first if i feel it i will also do naoto
favorite thing about them: EVERYTHING HE'S THE GREATEST TO EVER DO IT discounting anime/spinoff yu he is my favourite persona 4 character by a mile i love that dude
least favorite thing about them: not his fault. they have GOT to stop being homophobic to him. also the golden epilogue design is the biggest miss possible
favorite line: see ya! ^_^ and more specifically all the context around it
brOTP: him and labrys! i loved kanji's arena route so much... also him and sho for predictable reasons i WILL finish that story sometime!!! OOH or him and rise... i really love their combative besties situation i know they were making a RUCKUS in those summer school classes!!!
OTP: you truly cannot go wrong with kannao. also this is NOT A RELATIONSHIP I MUST STRESS THIS IS NOT RECIPROCATED but his little baby crush on akihiko is really cute
nOTP: any actual relationship between him and akihiko is like. that's weird kanji is a high schooler
random headcanon: i don't really think it's music he would listen to normally but after p4 he went and listened to all of rise's music to support her. but then he was kind of thoughtless about how he communicated this and she got mad. she sends him free tickets to her shows in p5 times i think, it's like a running thing for them now
unpopular opinion: you guys have gotta stop sidelining his gay ass in favour of yosuke it isn't fair to him. also i could see him as bi i suppose but i dislike the reasoning a lot of people give for it. basically every bit of p4 media hammers in the idea that he developed a crush on naoto as a boy and no matter how you personally see naoto (a whole other can of worms) they make it very clear that kanji personally like. has trouble not seeing him as a boy. naoto doesn't prove anything and i hate that people use that as some gotcha about kanji's sexuality
song i associate with them: nothing comes to mind... alas
favourite picture of them: basically any image where he's cute. i love his smiling sprite soooooo much mr kitty mouth

feel like mitski EMBODIES gojo satoru's stance toward true love. and no, that wasn't a typo. I mean the artist. every single song she makes embodies gojo. Gojo is too much of a sad boi to NOT be embodied by mitski.
"Being with you, makes the flame burn good" "if you need to be mean, be mean to me" satosugu.
"My baby here on earth, showed my what my heart is worth" (hello? geto gojo??) "Nothing in the world is mine for free, but my love, mine all mine all mine" (HELLO??? GOJO AND GETO??)
"I'll be the only heartbreaker"--> THis is also so gojo because he IS a heartbreaker, his looks to his power. and yet, he is also a heartbreaker in the sense that he breaks his own heart again and again and again.
"sometimes, a drink, feels like family." he lost his family a long time ago, when he was a mere high schooler. now he drinks to remember what it was like, to be carefree and ignorant.
"did you go make promises, you cant keep, well when you break them they break you right back" all the promises he made. all the promises he broke.
"My baby, my baby. you're my baby, say it to me." Megumi. Tsumiki. he loved them, his second chance to make things right, to prove he isn't a monster that he thinks he is. His second chance he ruined. His second chance, his second family. Gone.
"I'm beautiful, I know...But what am i to do with all this beauty? I'm liquid smooth, come touch me too" I personally think gojo went to sex to cope. I think it's his biggest toxic coping mechanism. I mean, its easy for him, with his power and looks and effortless grace, to snag a faceless stranger and lose himself in the pain-pleasure of it all.
The whole of "I want you". please. go listen to it. Its satosugu in a song. Its gojo's whole life in 3 minutes.
"But though I may never be free, FUCK you and your money. ...I'm tired of your money." This represents the relationship between gojo and the clan elders. This is gojo toward all the binds that chain him down, down to the cold ground, where a god does not belong. Toward the ropes that drag his power into the mud, the mortal hands begging him for help, ripping his clothes and digging into his holy skin.
The whole of "goodbye, my danish sweetheart". also just. gojo in a nutshell. go listen.
