I am legit sobbing over this images I AM NOT OKAY
When a ship takes over my life that even just seeing the actors together makes me feel so many things
Context: This are the live actions actors for Quan Yizhen and Yin Yu. The one with the hat in the first pic and glasses in the second one is Yin Yu’s actor (Wang Jia Yu), while the one being carried in the first and the one taking the pic in the second one is Quan Yizhen’s (Liu Zi Rui/Ray Liu)
The second pic is from Liu Zi Rui’s weibo while the first one is (from what I am assuming) a fan account for Liu Zi Rui.
Tbh, at this point I just want Eternal Faith to release just for the QuanYin crumbs. I am starving over here and just need some QuanYin content in my life.
I would also love it if any fan artists decide to draw these as QuanYin. Especially the first pic

DRAMA REVIEW | Blossoms in Adversity (2024)
I was in the mood for a historical romance story and Blossoms in Adversity seemed like a good idea since it features some of the actors I like. I was pleasantly surprised by this drama. I really thought it was going to be yet another run of the mill romance but what I found was so much more.
The story it's not about romance per se, that's a side story, the main plot of Blossoms in Adversity it's a family torn apart when their patriarch crosses the Emperor in the wrong way (for the right reasons). As a consequence the men, including the children, are exiled to the north and the women, find themselves without the family's fortune and no men to support them. So, out of necessity, they create a matriarchy and end up finding agency of their own for the first time ever with incredible results as they slowly rethink the "rules" they have been living by so far. Slowly, each women starts to show their true self, their personal interests and strong characteristics, they start business, struggle and succeed, the road it's never easy but their bond it's stronger.
I will be honest, you will have to push through at first. There’s some catty behaviour but it’s important to understand that most of these females characters never thought they would be anything other than brides or mothers, as set for the society, but these women prove to be mature and sensible enough to hold proper conversations with each other and realize why they need to work together.
The male lead's story it's also very interesting and it complements well the main characters but I found the women's story far more compelling. This drama is very uplifting and consistent in its characters's development, never betraying them.
I recommend it!

Welcome To My Side
Movies watched in 2024
Welcome To My Side (2024, China)
Director: Song Hao Lin
Writers: Miao Qian & Song Hao Lin
Mini-review:
Welcome To My Side is exactly what I needed after watching several heavy movies in a row: a purely fun romcom. The initial premise is silly but also surprisingly hilarious, and the gimmick never overstays its welcome, cause it's used just the right amount of times. The dramatic twist during the third act might feel a bit sudden, but there's enough foreshadowing for it to work. It certainly helps that both Yu Shi and Wang Yinglu deliver two fantastic performances, with outstanding chemistry to boot. I'm not saying this is the best romcom I've ever watched, but it came to me at the perfect time.

Bwahahahaha, her flashback killed me!
Also, I love the dramatic names given to the various palace rooms. A+ trolling.
Only Caligula would treat wanting to save people as a flaw.
Hahahhahaha her flashback!
Baby, any eating will come later, I promise!
It’s good to be the ruler!!!! I love that they especially stretch out his hair…

We started a new cdrama over Easter weekend and while @gyobaku appears to be watching something quality with a magic chicken, I'm still paying for a iQiyi subscription, so we're watching White Cat Legend: Oops All Doofuses.
I cannot stress enough how much the short summary on mydramalist fails to make two important factors clear:
Cat.
Idiots.
So far everything else comes well after Cat and Idiots.
I said just pick something based on vibes and the vibes were informed entirely by this image:
Accurate, but it's missing an important element.
Cat.
Simple country boy Chen Shi (Zhou Qi) comes to the big city in search of his brother (reason currently to be determined) and in his innocent helpfulness finds himself both responsible for the arrest of human traffickers and being arrested with a cranky, drugged cat. Chen Shi Does Not Understand and passes out when the cat bites him. He wakes up out of prison and in the company of Li Bing (Ding Yu Xi), the son of the assassinated minister of justice who disappeared three years ago (THREE YEARS AGO).
But now he's back and here to check on the pursuit of justice and investigate the events surrounding his father's death and also he's now a cat.
Why is Cat? is also one of the mysteries he has to solve. He was apparently dying of backstory tuberculosis before Cat Happened, so Cat really seems to be all upsides at this point in the series. He doesn't seem to have to Be Cat at certain times or under certain conditions, it's just a thing he can do at will. He can be an attractive young man or a beautifully silky white CGI cat ...
... or a man with an hilariously badly incorporated grumpy CGI cat head. Is it "bobcat in Story of Kunning Palace" bad? Who can say. The nuances of "bad" can be so subjective.
But it's not just about Li Bing investigating the mysteries of his personal tragedy and Cat, it's also about becoming the boss of the four biggest doofus incompetents in the ministry:
Cui Bei (Ding Jia Wen), pessimistic sadsack with an eidetic memory who brings disaster down upon himself and those around him
Wang Qi (Feng Man), the self-appointed leader of the doofuses whose overconfidence in his own skills is matched only by his laziness
Sun Bao (Zhang Yi Cong), the scarred muscle and army vet who is a devotee of fortune tellers and would very much not like to have to fight anything
Ali Baba (Kudusjan Anivar/Wa Er), the Foreign One (you can't say Foreign Idiot because they're all idiots)
Together they ... solve ... crime while Chen Shi just wants to have a pet cat and protect stray children.
It's very silly and charming and I know Ambiguously Foreign character named /Ali Baba/ is some kind of race /something/ but as an outsider in every way I can't even begin to say what. Anivar is Uyghur and I think he's the first non-Han actor we've encountered in the dramas we've watched. Just an interesting bit of something to note in watching a very silly show.
Cat.

Hello Rainbowsky,
Is it true that someone really booked 26 screenings of One and Only. Or is it a rumour?
And if it’s true, 26 screenings mean it is dedicated to WYB’s 26th birthday.
So, WYB, Chongqing, very rich and anonymous identity does not it points to one person? => XZ
What do you think?
Hi Anon! 😊
Fake, fan fiction, CPN.
It's true that there were such bookings made in Chongqing (GG's hometown, and where his family lives).
It's not proved who is behind the bookings, but the number is an interesting coincidence given that DD is turning 26 soon. We know that GG and DD often signal their birthdays this way.
And whoever it was bought all the expensive high end theaters where tickets are difficult to sell, and left the affordable ones for passersby, which was thoughtful - like a rabbit we all know.
(source)
The same thing was done for Born to Fly. 30 screenings were bought out. A friend told me that a box office analyst even took note of it, saying that the film was doing better in Chongqing than anywhere else in the country. 😅
Other celebrities have been buying screenings - a long list of them, some of them including (source):
Kara Wai - Hu Jun - Wang Chuanjun - Victoria Song Qian - Yin Zheng - Wu Lei - Yu Shi - Ni Hongjie - Qiao Shan - Wang Shengnan - Meng Hetang - director Su Liang - Wang Yitai - Dong Sicheng - Jia Ling - Jia Bing - Liu Xiaoshi - Huang Yi
And there are likely more who've booked screenings, but they're all open about it, and post openly about their support for DD and their best wishes for the success of the film. And no one is booking a large number of screenings like this.
30 screenings, 26 screenings - this is an extravagant expense, and done anonymously. That points to GG AFAIAC. He doesn't do half measures. He drops bombs, as we all know. He's not subtle.
Yes, it's a gift but I think it's also a flex. He's showing that he supports DD in a big way, and will spare no expense.
Those who know, know.
DD said Leos love to be praised. This is definite praise. It's sweet to picture DD's smug spoiled smile when he finds out about things like this. He knows he's loved, and he knows that others know it too. That's something that would definitely please him.
Of course, this is total CPN. We have no way of verifying.

The Romance of Hua Rong season1-2 9
Story: 10
Acting: 10
Chemistry: 10 🔥
Comparable to: ?
This is going to be a total shameless guilty pleasure drama for me . The storyline is a bit far fetche sometimes, it has the rinse and repeat storyline effect too and the main female lead can get annoying sometimes. But, and keyword here as being but, what made me want to keep watching and have the total giggles with the googlie eyes is the male lead, Yuan Hao, who’s beyond handsome plus charming, and sexy. He just nails his role in this and instantly makes up for the flaws in the show. (The costumes are by far my favorite in this) His character growth is probably my favorite in a long time. He’s just *sigh* a great character and the actor did him soooooo well. Like I mentioned above even though the female lead may have her faults she still has some great moments too especially in season 2, the chemistry is amazing between both of them. This is a cute fluffy pirate’y adventure romance. I throughly enjoyed this one immensely.

Lily liveblogs: Thunderbolt Fantasy 4x04, "Spectacular Showdown"
This episode has everything.
we open with Ba Wang Yu eating a giant chicken han jiao wing on a stick. look. you have me right there. I would watch an entire episode of demon meshi "fireside cooking with ba wang yu".
"Mantis" turns up and she even offers him a piece!!! Ba Wang yu is so great.
it turns out her powers allow her to draw strength from the foes she consumes, even more so than normal, hence why she's so devoted to eating and I love it.
"Mantis" goes to poke Spider, who is super-into choking people with chains, but just has to brag to his junior about how he knows Locust's true identity, hahaha
meanwhile, cyborg grandpa's rampage continues.... but our own beloved mad scientist grandpa USES HIS CANE AS A POGO STICK to flip into a cave and comes out with a goddamn mech, I am LIVING
thunderbolt fantasy truly means never having to say you're making it up and god bless
I joked about this last episode, but I didn't think they'd actually do it, but they did and it's AWESOME. new levels of puppetry achieved.
I thought cyborg grandpa was also going to transform into a mech or reveal a cool new feature of his robot arm, but instead he isekai's everybody to the demon realm and dies just at the moment his life's wish is granted because even minor characters are not immune to dramatic irony. GO OFF KING.
chao feng gets slammed to the ground and her officer guy is having a freakout, meanwhile Tian Ming gets caught by the mech and gently lowered to the ground.
chao feng is learning the hard way why daddy always delegates, lololol
meanwhile, Lang is cornered by Jia Li and forced to choose again between human and demon, blah blah blah. Ling Ya is like "are you sure?? you're leaving your friends behind" and Lang's like "do it" and then they do, RIP Jia Li.
Xing Hai gives Lang a token from her corpse and tells him that he's won her respect.
Lang: "your approval fills me with shame."
Azibelpher: "are ya winning, son?"
Tian Ming and Chao Feng both hear Lang's screaming as he powers-up yet again and perk up, haahahahaha
so Tian Ming and Chao Feng are going to have to work together to survive (or at least Chao Feng is going to have to pay lip service to the concept)... oh, this is gonna be good
in the wasteland of spirits, Shang, Dan Fei and Juan Can Yun are in a sandstorm and the kids are tired and Shang's like, "no, come on, we gotta keep going"
anyway, let us just appreciate the irony of ling ya saying they'd leave shang and tian ming behind only for the latter to turn up, and it's only a matter of time before Shang joins them.
next episode: demon court intrigue!!! new characters!! YESSS!!!
if it seems like I'm not saying very much, it's because words cannot properly convey the experience; some things you just have to observe for yourself
strong contender for the most enjoyable media experience I've had all year... at least until the next episode.

yibo’s btf co-star zhai yujia posted on his weibo and shared stories from filming :
caption:
This is the first scene we filmed with Yibo in the movie #长空之王# . Arrived here at three o'clock in the morning that day, the sky was full of stars and beautiful. Although the altitude is 3,000 meters, Yibo still integrates into our test flight team with full emotions and energy, and cooperates with the shooting over and over again.
In the past 100 days, I have been filled with emotions. Time flies, I wrote some memories, the style of writing is average, but they are all my feelings, please bear with me.
Finally, I want to say: "Wang Yibo deserves to be loved by so many people!”
actual post:
I remember this photo was taken by teacher @摄影机 Rita. That day we drove from the urban area to the suburbs at an altitude of 3000 meters at three o'clock in the morning. It was around 4 o'clock when we got there, because there was no light pollution, the sky was full of stars, Very romantic. Yibo had read the script with us at the time, and we met each other. but this day is the first time we were playing against each other.
I remember the plot at that time was "Handsome Gao", "Jia Shengli" and "Lei Yu" and I, Four of us in a car, we don't know where we're going, but we didn't expect to go to Martyrs cemetery. It is a test of our mentality. That scene broke my inherent perception of him.
First of all, I am a dance fan of Yibo. I like dancing very much, Yibo’s locking dance is very good, so I appreciate Yibo's talent, but I always thought that Yibo may be a bit introverted and slow to warm up. But this scene overturned my imagination of his energy. When we acted together in the car for more than ten hours, he never left. He has driven a car, and has been cooperating with our performances one by one (the day we filmed. He have more than 50 takes, and he will always be in a state of full energy. ) We played our favorite songs through bluetooth, together at an altitude of more than 3000 meters. Fang sang along with the roaring vehicles. I still remember that picture, it is so beautiful.
At that moment, my impression of him changed, because I could feel that after learning the role, He wanted to integrate with us quickly. Including when he got into the tent. He has his own vehicle that can provide him with rest, but in order to let us brothers become more harmonious, Yibo took the initiative to move a chair into our tent. For more than 100 days, we had lunch together (I ate a lot of Yibo's chicken breast, meat and beef, thank you so much) Singing together, in the tent together, chatting about scripts, talking about airplanes, playing games, and becoming real friends. At that moment, I felt that Yibo was a very sincere and serious person. He was very unobtrusive and very humble while we were eating.
When we met the test pilot, the light of admiration and awe in his eyes was not fake. At that moment, my greatest feeling was that Yibo is someone who had great respect for people who are talented and responsible.
How time flies, I remember that at this time last year we were still in Tongchuan eating hot pot together, chatting about airplanes, and overcoming various difficulties at work.
I hope to have the opportunity to cooperate with Yibo in the future. I want to learn locking from him!
PS: I want to add that Yibo is a highly motivated person. He's interested in a lot of things and he will work very hard to study them. He's determined to do things well! I remember he especially downloaded a flight stimulation game just to know more about aircraft. He would play the game every day to experience flight and understand it.
What he did inspired and encouraged me. I was positively affected working with such an excellent person.
Well, I’ve talked so much so let me sum it up:
Yibo deserves to be loved by so many people.
link to the actual post
#YIBO DESERVES TO BE LOVED BY SO MANY PEOPLE!!!!#LOUDER LOUDER LOUDER 📣📣📣📣#i am sorry for everyone who haven’t accepted yibo in their lives because mine is so much better with his good boy and gremlin energy#excuse me while i cry in the corner#wang yibo#born to fly#born to fly movie#EVERYONE WHO MET HIM WAS INSPIRED BY HIM#that should tell you everything you need to know about the kind of person he is

Tres meses
Promt: 16 - “No. I'm not OK” / “No. No estoy bien.“
Fandom: The On1y one (mou mou)
Ship: Sheng Wang / Jian Tian
Audiencia: G
TW: none
―BRAVO. VIVA. ―No exageres, Yian. ―Has vuelto a casa, como no voy a exagerar.
―Yian, no seas pesado.
―No.
―No, no estoy bien. ―Wang… ―¿Yo? Pero… ―O sea, no tu… Soy yo…
Besó a Jiang Tian.
―¿No tienes miedo? ―Wang miraba fascinado a Tian. ―Mucho.
―Vamos.
